Daschle’s Tax Troubles, And Why Obama Likes Cheats And Liars In His Cabinent

Let’s see Obama’s checklist for cabinet positions.  “Liberal as a loon.”  Check.  “Supports radical socialist agenda.”  Check.  “Believes New Deal didn’t go nearly far enough.”  Check.  “Wants to surrender to terrorists.”  Check.  “Cheated on taxes.”  Check.

There is little question that Timothy Geithner – our newly confirmed Treasury Secretary and IRS chief – knows more about evading taxes than enforcing tax law.  It is amazing that we are putting a man in charge of our economy who apparently can’t even figure out how to use Turbo Tax.

Add Tom Daschle to Obama’s tax cheating cabinet officers.

WASHINGTON – Former Sen. Tom Daschle, picked by President Barack Obama to lead his health reform efforts, recently filed amended tax returns to report $128,203 in back taxes and $11,964 in interest, according to a Senate document obtained by The Associated Press.

The White House acknowledged Friday that “some tax issues” had emerged in connection with the nomination, but a spokesman said the president is confident the former Senate Democratic leader will be confirmed as the new health secretary.

Daschle filed amended tax returns for 2005, 2006 and 2007 to reflect additional income for consulting work, the use of a car service and reduced deductions for charitable contributions. He filed the returns after Obama announced he intended to nominate Daschle to head the Health and Human Services Department.

What’s that saying: “Fool me once, shame on you.  Fool me twice, shame on me”?

Shame on all of us for voting for these people to ruin our country.

As with the case of Geithner, it took Daschle several years for it to occur to him that he might not be paying his taxes.  And it’s just a coincidence that this realization occured only immediately after being nominated.  Kind of like the only time I mind walking around in my underwear is when the neighbor sees me while I’m getting the paper – only with taxes.

Of course, there’s also Bill Richardson, who was Obama’s pick for Commerce Secretary before it was revealed that he likes to play the same “pay for play” game that got Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich (whom Obama TWICE endorsed) got impeached for playing.

We’ve got Obama’s choice for Attorney General, Eric Holder, who arranged the pardon of fugitive slimebag Marc Rich in exchange for a juicy contribution to his boss; who arranged the pardons of terrorists; who (along with our new Director of Central Intelligence Leon Panetta) in 1995 helped erect the information wall between the CIA and FBI that led to the communication failure that caused 9/11.  Holder isn’t considered a criminal, but he ought to be.

Holder will be a good company man, who will dependably do the President’s dirty work, protect crooks, and dismantle our intelligence system.  He’s already done it before.

In any event, with Obama and his ship of fools, frauds and felons, what do you expect of his “American Recovery and Reinvestment Plan” that features hundreds of millions of dollars in outright pork and $5.2 billion in fraud just to Obama-voter-fraud group ACORN.

Looking at the Obama bailout deal that is far more geared toward rewarding political patronage than it is toward stimulating anything but waste and fraud, you can see why Obama wants liars and cheats around him.  Honest people wouldn’t stand for it.

Its too bad Rush Limbaugh caused the conservatives to lose everything in 2008. Now that the people are in charge you will get whats coming to you. NOTHING.

  2. Michael Eden Says:

Hmm. A guy who calls himself “stop hate” is clearly a hater of conservatives. I guess the subtitle is, “stop hate” for anyone who thinks like me, and hate up a storm for everyone else.”

How does your head not explode from all the contradictions?

  3. stophate Says:

I do just fine. Fighting conservatism is the same a fight fascism. Its the people against the corporations and special interests. Read a history book to find out who wins.

  4. Michael Eden Says:

Is that you hating again, starthate?

  5. hl Says:

Everyday seems to bring more bad news of Obama selecting corrupt people for positions of authority.
A friend wrote me over the weekend and commented that they seem to have perfected hypocrisy! I couldn’t agree more.

  6. Michael Eden Says:

I actually once tracked down the quote (from Mein Kampf) where Hitler said that when you lie, lie huge. Lie so outrageously that people will say that it has to be true, because otherwise why would they say it?

It’s a page from the script of those who don’t believe in objective truth, but view reality as a canvass upon which they can paint whatever they wish. It’s rhetoric over reality, image over substance, subjective over objective, deceitfulness over honesty. Liberals are like the worst among used car salesmen, where all that matters is making the sale and honesty is at best a liability.

And of course Tom Daschle is a blatant hypocrite of gargantuan proportions, given his own background of opposing Republican appointments over a fraction of what Daschle himself turns out to have done.

It’s bad enough that Democrats are this way, and the media helps them get away with it. But the last straw is the way the Republicans tend to bend over backwards to be collegial to lying demagogues who will never return the favor.

  7. stophate Says:

Eden, It doesn’t suprise me that you read Mein Kampf by Adolf Hitler. Its the Republican playbook.

  8. Ike Jakson Says:

Shucks, this little weasel that calls himself stophate just simply can’t stop. May I make a suggestion contrary to my usual viewpoint about this sort of nuisance? Don’t chase him away. Just let him continue and have some fun in his little mind. He needs it and does provide some weird mirth in his own way.

  9. Michael Eden Says:

You just never stop hating, do you, starthate?

One could also point out that those who do not learn history are doomed to repeat it. To wit, 1) if you’ve never bothered to understand Hitler, why is it you’re nonetheless so sure that it’s the Republicans who are using it as their playbook? Isn’t that merely another example of demagogy on your part, when you call me a Nazi even as you openly acknowledge that you have no idea what Hitler actually thought? And 2) if you actually BOTHERED to learn about Hitler and his Nazism, you would find out that they actually share many of their ideological foundations with liberals, NOT conservatives.

Let me give you some quotations from a few other people who think very much like liberals:
Christianity, sprung from Jewish roots and comprehensible only as a growth on this soil, represents the counter-movement to any morality of breeding, of race, of privilege; it is the anti-Aryan religion par excellence.
    – Nietzsche, proto-fascist and proto-postmodernist

The Jewish religion began when Moses, having to keep a disagreeable rabble in order, scared them by inventing a disagreeable bogie, which he called a god.
    – Ezra Pound, cited by Robert Casillo in “The Geneology of Demons,” pages 30-31.

“First the invisible but all-seeing, the unattainable but all-demanding God of Sinai. Second the terrible sweetness of Christ. Had the Jew not done enough to sicken man? … Look at them: prophets, martyrs, smashers of images, word spinners, drunk with the terror of the absolute. It was only a step, gentlemen, a small, inevitable step, from Sinai to Nazareth, from Nazareth to the covenant of Marxism… The Jew has pressed on us the blackmail of transcendence.”
    – Steiner, “The Portrage to San Cristbal of A.H. [Adolf Hitler].”

Fascism defined as “the practical and violent resistance to transcendence” by Ernst Nolte (“The Three Faces of Fascism,” pg. 429).

The fascists aligned themselves not only against the Jews but against what the Jews contributed to Western Civilization. A transcendent God, who reveals a transcendent moral law, was anathema to the fascists.
    – Gene Edward Veith, “Modern Fascism,” pg. 13.

Margaret Sangar, the Founder of proud liberal organization PLANNED PARENTHOOD, actively promoted Hitler’s fascist eugenics program in the United States. Existentialist philosopher Martin Heidegger, so profoundly revered by liberals for so long, turns out to have been a Nazi. And, Hitler justified his Nazi ideology NOT with conservative Christian thought, but rather with Darwinism.

Btw, Hitler, on page 454 of his Mein Kampf, writes that the Jews, who developed the intolerance of absolute morality, should not be tolerated. The quintessential liberal intolerance of religion (particularly Judeo-Christianity), of absolute morality, and of of transcendent God all the while turning the very concept of “tolerance” into a visceral intolerance of others in the very name of “tolerance.”

And did I mention that “NAZI” was an acronym for, “National SOCIALIST German WORKERS’ Party.”

Hate to tell you this, starthate, but Nazism didn’t come from my side; it came from yours. And you are headed right back into that hateful madness.

  10. Michael Eden Says:

    My plan exactly.

I have to purge quite a few liberals’ comments simply because they are so full of profanity and hate that I simply cannot in conscience allow them.

Then there are the guys like starthate who help us understand the (non)thinking of the liberal mindset.

The liberal mind doesn’t think, it labels. It doesn’t reason, it lashes out with charges and accusations. It doesn’t have anything to offer except baseless charge after baseless charge. It doesn’t offer facts, but rather rhetoric and spin that warps the facts.

  11. iusbvision Says:

    Hey Stop Hate,

Since you like to break Godwins Law by saying that Republican’s are nazi’s. I thought I would draw my own equivalency.

Republicans oppose Gun Control and nazi’s wanted citizens disarmed. Democrats also want citiozens disarmed and unable to defend their freedom with effective means.

Conservatives are staunch supporters of Israel while most anti-semites are Nazi’s and leftist Democrats.

Nazi’s are socialists who wanted excessive regulation of the economy and redistrobution of wealth, juts like Democrats. Republicans oppose it.o
Nazi’s and Democrats want central control of public education, Republicans oppose it.

Nazi’s played the politics opf class warfare just as Democrats do, Republicans oppose it.

Nazi’s and Democrats believe in the hegalian view of imposing rationality from above, conservatives believe that rationality has to be imposed on government from below.

Nazi’s and Democrats wish to empower the state economically at the expense of the soveriegnty of the individual, conservatives oppose that.

Nazi’s were heavily into New Age and the o ccult, conservatives tend to be Christians or objectivists.

Conservatives believe in limited government, Democrats and Nazi’s are always seeking to grow the power of the state to benefit themselves.

I can go on and on, but to sum up, history shows that the Nazi’s are/were leftists. They were National Socialists whereas much of the Democrat elite are international socialists.

  12. Ike Jakson Says:

Agree every word in your last comment, and I like the detailed comment on Hitler for our young friend stophate. Maybe he can learn something he obviously does not understand right now. Then you will have done him a good deed.

  13. Randall Arnold Says:

I’ll won’t quibble with any of your checks but one: the tired old “wants to surrender to terrorists” is disingenuous at best and unnecessarily polarizing. It would be so nice if pundits could move past that untenable nonsense and address the real stuff.

  14. Randall Arnold Says:

Michael, re “The liberal mind doesn’t think, it labels”: can you not see the irony in your labeling statement? I won’t defend most liberals because IMO they’re as nutty as neoconservatives but jeez… you’re getting into a vicious circle with assessments like that.

  15. Michael Eden Says:

Harry Reid, the Democrat Senate Majority Leader, said, “I believe that this war is lost.”

Advocating a cut and run policy. Opposing the “surge strategy” that turned the war around. Wanted to surrender to terrorists.

They said all the same things that President Bush said prior to the war and even after the war –
    – but then turned against it the moment things got tough and used it as a political weapon against Bush and Republicans.

Jack Murtha claimed innocent Marines were murderers guilty of war crimes. Other Democrats – with Sen Dick Durbin being merely ONE example – compared US troops and US tactics to Nazis and the gulags.

And now they want to shut down Gitmo even though they don’t have any better of a clue what to do with all these terrorists than Bush. That’s why he put them in Gitmo to begin with. Now we’re either going to take them to our own country and overwhelm our justice system over what to do, or ship them to other countries where they will very quickly be let go. Already over 11% of those detained at Gitmo have returned to fighting against us.

I stand by every syllable of the “wants to surrender to terrorists” line.

And just so you know, now that Democrats are in charge of everything, it is time to do unto them what they did unto us. And I don’t think very much of you people who only become outraged at “untenable nonsense” when it is used against YOUR SIDE. Where were you when it was used against Bush and Republicans day after day after day?

For 8 years, Democrats tore into Republicans and Bush, and undermined, and demonized, every single thing. And now you’re all hoity toity saying, “Let us put aside our differences and come together all high-minded like.” Baloney.

Please don’t think for one single second that you have any credibility in your outrage now.

  16. Michael Eden Says:

This is how you differ from a lot of liberals. You want starthate to learn and change and grow and become a better person. To liberals, you’re just a terrible person and they want you to suffer.

I Still remember what they did when Tony Snow was diagnosed with colon cancer, and then again when he died. It was just an outpouring of visceral hatred. Conservatives just don’t have that kind of hate in them. Case in point, Ted Kennedy. As much as I despise his policies, I don’t hate HIM. But that distinction just isn’t in liberals’ shriveled souls.

  17. Michael Eden Says:

Very insightful analysis, and I thank you for sharing it.

I copied it to a word file for future reference and consideration.

When we stop and think about the presuppositions of Nazism, and the presuppositions of liberalism, they begin to blur together to an astonishing degree.

Back in the 1930s, a lot of liberal intellectuals embraced fascism because they DID share the same presuppositions. They were astonished at the brutality and violence that came out of Nazism. Because they failed to understand the logical conclusions of their own worldview. For just one example, they thought you could just pull God and Judeo-Christianity out of Western Civilization and replace it with Darwinism, and chug merrily along. And to this very day – even after it has failed and degenerated into human-dignity-crushing totalitarianism EVERY single time, they continue to believe that you can pull God and Judeo-Christianity out of our civilization.

These liberals glorify euthanasia, abortion, antimonotheism, agrarianism, moral subjectivism, neopaganism, nature, and government power as the source of human values. They insist on the concrete and despise the abstract. And they present it all as “progressive” and “humane.” And they don’t realize that all of these things come right out of Nazi fascism. And they don’t realize that all the Nazis did was take these ideas to their logical conclusions. Today, postmodernists have largely demolished the basis of their own goals.

Here’s a quote from Gene Edward Veith:
“The fascists, on the other hand, took these assumptions to their logical conclusions. If individual autonomy is an illusion, then everyone should find identity in the communal state. If society shapes the individual, then let it do so, replacing individual liberty with propaganda and social control. If power underlies all social institutions, then let us exercise power. If race and ethnicity is a determinative value, then let ideas be evaluated in racial and ethnic terms. If societies are intrinsically racist, with one ethnic group oppressing the others, then let us BE racist, protecting our racial identity in the power struggle by subjugating the other races.”

And today’s postmodern scholars believe ALL of those things that the Nazis believed. They refuse to understand the logical conclusions of their own ideas. And when their ideas eventually explode in a new wave of fascist violence, they will attribute it to anything but their own presuppositions.

  18. Randall Arnold Says:

“Please don’t think for one single second that you have any credibility in your outrage now.”

An ironic remark, and part of an overboard response. Do you operate under the belief that volume equals validity?

Anyway, the “surrendering to terrorists” blather is pure hyperbole, regardless of what quotes anyone pulls to justify the assessment. It’s a paranoid, irrational thought, and just serves to pit American against American when we should start focusing on pulling together regardless of ideological differences and find a way to make this nation great again. Instead, we get raving pundits vilifying others for hate while expressing hate of their own. And in the process, undermining the country they profess to defend. That’s beyond irony. That’s hypocrisy.

  19. Michael Eden Says:

I provided quite a little compendium of evidence for the “surrendering to terrorists.” The fact that you can’t bother yourself to deal with it is a statement about you.

Further, you’re whole, “We need to come together” crap is just that. A load of crap from a hypocrite. Didn’t we need to come together after 9/11? Didn’t we need to come together after we went to war? You know, after 60% of Democrat Senators VOTED for the war before they decided to vote against it and then claimed that “Bush lied, people died!”? Didn’t we need to come together after Hurricane Katrina? Not according to people like you, we didn’t. We needed to demonize Bush and drag him down. I gave just a taste of the massive constant undermining that Bush and Republicans received from people just like YOU. And now you expect Republicans to just be all nice after that unrelenting attack that brought us down? And you call it “hypocrisy” when Repubs don’t act better now than people like you ever acted in your whole lives?

  20. stophate Says:

Eden, Did you have to use crack cocaine to know it was bad or get a sexually transmitted disease to know its not healthy? Hitler and his conservative movement are human excrement that will be wiped off the earth. In fact, we are doing that right now. Stophate means to stop hate by any and all means. It doesn’t mean I want to be friends with conservatives.

  21. Michael Eden Says:

Could you please explain – and please take as MUCH room as you want to – precisely just what you think Hitler was trying to “conserve” in this “conservative” movement of his? Seriously. I’d really like to know.

Zeev Sternhall, in “Fascist ideology” in Fascism: A Reader’s Guide (p. 368-369) observed how study of fascism has “been obscured by the official Marxist interpretation of fascism.” Marxist scholarship immediately and deliberately distorted the ideology of fascism. Marxist scholars defined fascism as Marxism’s polar opposite. If Marxism was “progressive,” fascism became “conservative.” If Marxism was left wing, fascism became right wing. If Marxism championed the proletariat, fascism championed the bourgeoisie. If Marxism was socialist, fascism was capitalist.

But, for example, it’s quite clear it WASN’T “capitalist.” NAZI is an acronym for “National Socialist German Workers’ Party.” They were socialists, starthate. Just like you.

It was propaganda, starthate. What you seem to be filled to the gills with.

Communism and fascism were rival brands of socialism. And socialism comes from the left, NOT the right. Whereas Marxist socialism is predicated on an international class struggle, fascist national socialism promoted a socialism predicated on national unity. BOTH communists and fascists opposed the bourgeoisie (Hitler put the JEWS in that class); BOTH attacked the conservatives. BOTH were mass movements which had the greatest appeal among the intelligentsia, the artists, students, and lower-class workers. BOTH favored strong centralized governments and rejected a free economy. BOTH rejected the ideals of individual liberty. BOTH violently suppressed free speech and any and all opposition to their power. BOTH based their ideology on Darwinism. BOTH savagely repressed religion (not only Jews, but thousands of Confessing Church pastors perished in the Nazi death camps). And BOTH were revolutionary socialist ideologies determined to spread by violence.

By the way, starthate, your slogan, “Stophate means to stop hate by any and all means,” is quite fascist itself. It recognizes no moral limits – “any and all means.” Just like Hitler himself. And thus, like so many on the left, you lie about your opponents while recognizing no objective moral limits.

  22. stophate Says:

Hitler’s regime used patriotism and fear of terrorism coupled with religious rhetoric to convince the masses to quietly go along with their plans. The Germans never questioned the official line on the Reichstag Fire, even though it made little sense. They never questioned why Poland would be so stupid as to invade Germany, even though it made little sense. They never questioned why their rights were being “temporarily” suspended through the Enabling Act because it was necessary to fight the terrorists, even though it made little sense. There is little difference between a conservative presidency and the philosphy of Adolph Hitler. Secret prisons, torture and suspension of privacy rights are only a few of comaprisons that would be appropriate.

We must never forget that everything Hitler did was legal.
    Rev Martin Luther King Jr.

  23. Michael Eden Says:

    Oh, that’s just ridiculous, starthate.

    “Hitler’s regime used patriotism.”
You’ve got me there. Only Republicans have EVER talked about patriotism before. I suppose this is where you outright acknowledge that an appeal to patriotism would never work with people like you because you really ARE a bunch of traitors?

    “… and fear of terrorism.”
By this I can only presume you’re talking about the fire at the Reichstaag that Hitler started and blamed on his opponents. So by this I presume you buy into the Rosie O’Donnell nutjob gibberish that it was really BUSH that staged the 9/11 attacks? Otherwise what you’re saying wouldn’t make even the little sense it makes as it is.

    Religious rhetoric?
Please cite for me Hitler quoting Jesus.

The fact is that theological liberalism – which began in Germany – denied the historicity of the Bible and perverted religion into a bunch of myths and fables. The German people were as a result the least religious in all of Western Europe.

Ernst Nolte – an expert in fascism – defined fascism as “the practical and violent resistance to transcendence.”

George Steiner wrote that, “By killing the Jews, Western Culture would eradicate those who had ‘invented’ God.”

Fascist intellectual and Nazi Ezra Pound wrote that the Jewish religion began when Moses, having to keep a troublesome rabble in order, scared them by inventing a disagreeable bogie, which he called a god.” And he wrote, “The greatest tyrannies have arisen from the dogma that the theos is one, or that there is a unity above the various strata of theos which imposes its will upon the substrata, and thence upon human individuals.” [“Theos” is the Greek word for “God”]. The quote is from “The selected prose of Ezra Pound,” p. 51.

I could go on for quite a while. But let me simply cite Hannah Arendt, referring to Adolf Eichmann’s last moments before being hung in the gallows as a Nazi war criminal: “He began by stating emphatically that he was a Gottglaubiger, to express in common Nazi fashion that he was no Christian and did not believe in life after death.”

Meanwhile allow me to present a few links to the LINK between Nazism and Darwinism:

In other words Hitler and his Nazi regime consisted of a bunch of godless Darwinists. Just like you.

I gave you a sweeping series of definitive links between Nazi fascism and Marxist Communism. You in response gave me a collection of either trivial (“patriotism” – like ONLY conservatives ever appealed to that!) or patently false allegations.

I notice – and i put this in bold so everyone else can see it too – you didn’t bother to tell me what it was that Hitler – the “conservative” – was trying to “conserve.” Because there WASN’T anything. Hitler was a radical socialist. Same as you.

You are just completely ignorant, starthate. But obviously that doesn’t stop you from having one lame opinion after another.

And just so you realize something, starthate. The “renditions” deemed so terrible by the left actually began under Bill Clinton. And one has only to look at the 20th century and see that: WWI – Wilson was a Democrat. WWII – FDR and Truman were Democrats. Korean War – Truman was a Democrat. Vietnam – John Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson were Democrats. All of our major wars, waged by Democrats.

    Just willful, shameful ignorance.

  24. stophate Says:

Wow, Godless Darwinist ? Christ would be a liberal democrat like myself. I enjoy reading your posts. It gives me confidence that you have very little in common with American values. The conservative movement has been taking over by extremists like yourself and hense its decline. You think you are smarter and know what is better for America but people don’t care about what you think anymore. You are like a nut ranting on corner. Keep it up and definately stay involved in the conservative movement. The 2010 mid-term elections are just around the corner. Conservatism is dead if you haven’t heard. Hate doesn’t sell like it used too. White anglo saxon protestants are no longer the majority. Sorry to break the news. Maybe you can join up with the Taliban. I hear they are still pretty conservative .

  25. Ike Jakson Says:

My oh my, I have not been looking in here for just a few days and thought it would be over but I see the young fellow ‘stophate starthate continuehate’ is now really getting riled up. I am pleased you are handling him and thus we all learn [I have gained a whole lot of new knowledge through this duel] but as an old fellow to you a much younger man than I am, while we are learning watching it don’t ever get any idea about the possibility that you may cause him to think and learn as I might have implied in a previous comment. People like him will never learn. Period. But I support you. You are in the right here. Period again.

  26. Michael Eden Says:

Learning and growing in knowledge requires a desire to know the truth. You go back and look at the ministry of Jesus. All those “verily, verily” (truly, truly) statements. In John 19, when Jesus stood before Pilate, Jesus said to him, “For this purpose I have come into the world – to testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to Me.” And Pilate sneered, “What IS truth?” and turned away and delivered to be crucified the one who was truth’s very embodiment.

Romans tells us the wicked, “professing themselves to be wise, they became fools” (Romans 1:22).

“Truth” is the “God’s-eye” view of the world. These people despise God and everything He stands for. They replace God’s way of understanding reality with perverted and warped worldviews that totally prevent them from seeing or understanding anything. They cling to that perverted reality, and are determined to continue to see the world through a warped and depraved lens. They literally will themselves to be stupid, because they cannot and will not see the world as it actually is.

God does miracles every day – including bringing people like starthate to reality. But it is certainly beyond the power of anything or anyone else.

  27. Michael Eden Says:

You’re right, starthate. I remember that passage now where Jesus says, “Let the little children come unto Me” – so he could murder them with retroactive abortion. I remember that Jesus was an atheist who believe that human life evolved by random chance and there was no purpose, meaning, or value to anything. I remember Jesus saying that He came NOT to fulfill the Scriptures – but to abolish them (Matt 5:17) and replace them with secular humanism.

And, of course, Jesus’ disciples and eyewitnesses – who sat at His feet for years and learned His wisdom from His own mouth, and who wrote the New Testament – didn’t understand Jesus or His message at all. But rather it was people like you who really “got” Jesus.

I am close to tossing you for your last sentence. Your attitude that my being an evangelical Christian standing up for the traditional historic values that made this country what it is today makes me as evil as the people who flew planes into buildings to murder innocents is on the razor’s edge of being too hateful to allow. What is morally wrong with you to insinuate something like that? You are right; standing up for the lives of the most innocent human beings must be just incredibly hateful to someone like you.

You tell me I’m blind. Then you say that hate doesn’t sell as well as it used to. It’s selling just fine, all over the world. And it’s selling great here in the US, too – as your last utterly vicious and hateful comment indicates.

And just to make sure you understand, conservatism worldwide is doing quite well. France and Germany elected their most conservative governments in YEARS. Czech President Vaclav Klaus makes our conservatives appear tame. Israel is just about to elect conservative Benjamin Netanyahu. The EU parliament elected a conservative last year. And the EU just elected a pretty conservative president.

Meanwhile, Obama is on the verge of starting a trade war with his liberal unionist protectionist policies.

  28. stophate Says:

The conservatives do not really want abortion stopped. If the pro-life movement was serious about lowering the n umber of abortions they would actually do things that might help. Instead, most are religious fanatics that put their own distorted views in the spotlight instead of the lives of the unborn. These fanatics are the first to kick and scream when there is talk of sex education in the public schools. They are the first to whine when there is talk of free condoms and birth control for our young people. Abortion is treated like a sick game of do it the way our church says or you are one of those bad people. But people are seeing past that. There are real ways to stop abortions, not just religious ones and until everyone works together and stops playing politics the abortions will never stop.

  29. Michael Eden Says:

You say a lot of spectacularly stupid things, which is why I generally enjoy your participation. But this has to be the stupidest yet. “Conservatives do not really want abortion stopped.” Right. We don’t care. So we don’t really mind what Supreme Court justices a President picks.

I’m glad you understand conservatives so much better than conservatives know themselves. My God, I wish I were 1/100th as smart as you arrogant imbeciles think you are.

Conservatives believe that we are morally intelligent human beings, not mindless animals. So a) human life is sacred and b) children should be treated as intelligent and morally responsible human beings and not as breeding animals who have no control over their sexuality. We think that it would be nice if children were actually taught how to actually read, rather than how to reproduce – or, worse yet, to sodomize one another. But that’s just us.

And we wish that people like you who abort your own damn kids weren’t so determined to dictate what happens to other peoples’. Strange of us, to think that parents should be in charge of their own children’s sexual education, I know. Liberals will never understand that arrogance of parents to think that they should actually have any control over what happens to their own kids.

What I don’t understand is that if abortion is good, why would you want to reduce it in the first place? I mean, what is it about “Abortion should be safe, legal, and rare.” How does that work? Let’s plug in other rights: “Freedom of speech should be safe, legal, and rare.” Nope. Doesn’t work. How about the right to unionize? “Unions should be safe, legal, and rare.” Works for me, but liberals probably don’t think so. You people cherish abortion as good even as you say it’s bad. Which is it?

And what’s wrong with China taking it’s one-child per family policy to keep their numbers down? Why should women have “the right to choose,” but not a nation, under liberal premises? Where the hell did Hillary Clinton get off lecturing China? And therefore, since most Chinese families want boys, how dare you impose your Western bigotry on Chinese families and condemn them for aborting every girl?

You think conservatives have problems reconciling their views on abortion? Give me a break.

Btw, our worker-per-retiree ratio has dwindled and dwindled and dwindled as we’ve aborted over 50 million babies. Soon its going to be 3 workers per every retiree. Our entire social system is utterly doomed because geniuses like you insisted on murdering babies.

    Hi Michael,

I have just started reading your site and have to say it is excellent. I very much enjoyed your explanations and am going to save them for future reading. I am totally astounded every time a Democrat/Liberal opens his/her mouth. They are really incapable of ever understanding the truth because God has given them up to their own lusts, and they are incapable of knowing things that must be spiritually discerned because they are spiritually dead.

Mr. Randall says we need to: “find a way to make this nation great again” which is rather ironic, because conservatism means getting back to what our Founding Fathers believed in. Smaller government, less taxes, freedoms outlined in our Constitution. B. Hussein Obama (who we still don’t know if he was even born in America) and his liberal/socialist friends are the total opposite of what made America great. They are the big brother we have all feared, and B. Hussein is now doing everything he can to tear us down. They are systematically destroying the Constitution and the Bill of Rights and growing their kingdom.

I fear it is too late for America. Too many liberals and welfare moms have raised their kids to think big government is the answer. Illegal aliens are overwhelming our whole system. Homosexuals are pushing their agenda in a takeover of schools and media, so liberal lies are not being challenged.

Liberals are so full of hate, and yet you can’t say anything to them. They always play the child’s game of “I know you are, but what am I”…

The trouble with conservatives and independents is they are generally “live and let live” kind of people and just want to live their lives.

The reason there is so much strife lately is because we’ve started to realize that our wonderful country is being overtaken by socialism and we have to do something. That’s put quite a wrench in the liberals engine.

Stophate needs to read some of the original writings of our founding fathers. They mirror everything the conservatives say in this point of history, in fact, they were even more strong against tyranny than we are! They would be spinning in their graves if they could hear what Obama’s administration was doing!

Norman Thomas was the Socialist presidential candidate 1928, 1932, 1936, 1940, 1944, 1948. He said: “The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of ‘liberalism’ they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”

Norman Thomas and Gus Hall, the U.S. Communist Party Candidate, both quit American politics, agreeing that the Republican and Democratic parties had adopted every plank on the Communist/Socialist and they no longer had an alternate party platform on which to run.

I liked what one blogger said: “We have gone from a Republic, past democracy to a Tyranny. Our own government has usurped power from the people. When they begin confiscating our weapons, we must fight or be their slaves.”

That is precisely what Democrats & Liberals want to do…

  33. Michael Eden Says:

There is certainly a spiritual component to the liberal’s ignorance.
2 Cor 4:4 says “the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” There is a willful determination to continue to suppress the truth in their unrighteousness (Rom 1:18). They are people who call evil good and good evil (Isaiah 5:20).

I put it this way: liberals/secular humanists have a terribly warped worldview, which serves like a fun house kaleidoscope. They cannot possibly understand the world as it really is. When one renounces God and His ways, one renounces the ability to see things through the “God’s eye view.” Everything is distorted. They are left with theories of the world that don’t match the world.

    G. K. Chesterton said, “When people stop believing in God, they don’t believe in nothing— they believe in anything.” And liberals who renounce and denounce God erect the God-surrogate of big government to replace God and replace God’s ways. They have seen big government as utopia since the beginning. Government as Savior.

Marx’s central defining doctrine exactly matches the Democrats today: “From each according to his ability, to each according to his need.” That is precisely Obama’s vision today.

I am genuinely convinced if Barack Obama reduced this country to a North Korea-like regime, a full quarter of the population would still rabidly support him.

I think you would really like to have the resources in my article, “Whose country do we want: our founding fathers’ or our secular contemporaries’?

  34. KB in Seattle Says:

Wow. You are right, I like that “founding fathers” article! Our founding fathers were exceptional men! I liked what you said, “…it was THESE men, and not Marx, or Mao, or any other socialist, who devised the greatest political system the world has ever seen.”

And of course, they gave the glory for that to the Creator! I’ll keep looking around your site and enjoy the reading! Thanks, KB

  35. The Crypticum Keeper Says:

Wow. So much ironic hatred here.

Some eyes could use a plank removal.

  36. Michael Eden Says:

Wow. A liberal drove by, called me a hater, and then drove off before anyone could comment on the fact that he had no facts.

If you are going to talk about ‘hatred,’ Mr. He-who-practiced-Bush-derangement-for-eight-years, at least you might have the basic decency and intelligence to “expose” what you think qualifies as hate. Is the truth hateful to you? If I point out the facts, is that the hate that generates the need for a plank removal?

What I really hate most is “stupid,” which is why I am full of hate with drive-by insults like what you just provided.

And please, don’t allude to the teachings of Jesus as an offensive weapon to use against your political opponents unless you actually follow them as a truly committed follower to Jesus and His teachings. Otherwise it just makes you all the more the hypocrite.

  37. Michael Eden Says:

It is no coincidence that the two men most cited by secular Americana were Franklin and Jefferson – the two LEAST Christian and religious men among the founding fathers. That said, Jefferson and Franklin alike were profoundly more friendly to the Judeo-Christian worldview than even the least ardent of today’s liberal secular humanists. Among other things, Jefferson and Franklin understood that the Christian religion and the Christian worldview were essential to a free and open society.

I marvel at this historical fact of the first shots fired in the Revolutionary War between armies at Lexington on April 19, 1775:

Some time in March of 1775 the Governor of Connecticut, Jonathan Trumbal set aside a “Day of Public Fasting and Prayer…that God would graciously pour out his Holy Spirit on us, to bring us to a thorough repentance and effectual reformation;…That He would restore, preserve and secure the liberties of this, and all the other American Colonies, and make this land a mountain of Holiness and habitation of righteousness forever…” The day he selected for that “Day of Fasting and Prayer” was Wednesday, 19 April 1775.

On the evening of April 18, 1775 John Adams and John Hancock met at the home of the local militia leader – and “coincidentally” Pastor of a Lexington, Mass. church – Jonas Clark. Unaware that at that very moment British Regulars were setting out to confiscate the arms of the Patriots, one of the visitors asked Rev. Clark if the people of Lexington would fight if necessary. The Rev. replied ” I have trained them for this very hour!” Later that night who but Paul Revere should arrive to let them know that the Redcoats were indeed on the march.

The Militia was mustered out at 1 AM on April 19 under the field command of Deacon Parker and by 2:00 there were 130 men under arms on the green near Rev. Clark’s meeting-house, with Adams, Hancock and Clark present, but the redcoats were nowhere to be found. So the men were dismissed with order to assemble at the beat of the drum.

Later that morning, a six company detachment of British Light Infantry, under Major Pitcairn was dispatched toward Concord to capture and hold two essential bridges. He kept his movement relatively secret by capturing and holding all persons he encountered in route but alas a messenger on horseback finally got away and raised the alarm in Lexington. By then Adams and Hancock had been persuaded to quit to a neighboring town because they would surely be a target of the British. After the alarm was given, only 70 people were near enough to assemble by the time the British arrived. There was an immediate face off and what followed has been told with slight differences by several different people. Of course I cannot say, not being there, but this is a summation of what most likely happened. Frankly, I do not know if the Rev. Clark or Deacon Parker did the talking for the Minutemen

Upon seeing a mass of armed men Major Pitcairn shouted, “Disperse, ye villains Lay down your arms in the name of George the Sovereign King of England”. The response, as reported by more than one source (coming from Parker or Clark depending on the source) was ” We recognize no Sovereign but God and no King but Jesus!”

Thus marked the beginning of the Revolutionary War; the beginning of men fighting in the name of Christ for unalienable rights that had been given to them by their Creator God and by none other.

  38. The Crypticum Keeper Says:

You have no idea what I follow or don’t follow. Your abject, pointless hatred blinds you.

I am a Centrist, not a liberal. I voted for Ron Paul, not Obama. I am a Christian.

It’s easy to label and demonize, much more difficult to climb down off an internet podium and try to grasp reality. But I recommend trying anyway. Instead of kneejerking into rabid reactions, try educating yourself more to understand why your extremist, limited view of life is misguided and makes you so angry, causing you to lash out at strangers.

Life can be wonderful… but spending it spewing vitriole and finding nothing but fault in one’s detractors tends to make it a misery.

  39. Michael Eden Says:

If you don’t like people who label and demonize, then please quit doing it. This is now the 2nd time you have demonized me. And without offering any more to substantiate your demagoguery but your own narrow-minded brand of hatred.

You STILL haven’t explained which one of my remarks was “hateful.” You STILL haven’t exposed my “lies” – unless you think I’m “hateful” for exposing the truth.

Was I lying in showing that Tom Daschle had cheated on his taxes? Or maybe it is your argument that I was lying when I pointed out that the guy who is going to have control over the IRS – Timothy Geithner – was a documented tax cheat? Maybe you think Bill Richardson in actuality had no reason to resign before he even took his cabinet post due to his many ethical problems? Maybe it was just FINE for Eric Holder to pardon a huge tax thief after he gave Bill Clinton a huge contribution for his library? After pardoning terrorists?

It’s kind of hard for me to believe that you voted for Ron Paul given the fact that you so blithely now support Barack Obama’s presidency – which could not be more antithetical to Ron Paul’s. You might take some time to explain how Ron Paul and Barack Obama actually have a lot in common. You might patiently explain to us “deranged haters” how Ron Paul was actually in favor of blowing up our debt by adding more to the deficit in one single year than Bush did in his entire 8 years in office COMBINED.

I would like to see your evidence that Ron Paul wouldn’t have minded Obama’s appointment of these swindlers before I’ll accept your claim that you supported Ron Paul.

And tell you what: I’ll give you a chance to show me how independent you are, and how above the partisan fray. Just take me to the liberal blog where you excoriated a liberal for his Bush derangement syndrome during the Bush years. Otherwise, I know what you really are.

I hear a lot of Democrats who flat out demonized Bush and literally compared him with Nazis now saying, “How DARE you!” to conservatives who go after Obama. I don’t really give a fig for the self-righteous indignation of hypocrites like that.

  40. hl Says:

Truth and facts is called ‘hate speech’ to those who do not love truth!

Keep up the GREAT work, Michael. John the Baptist did not lose his head for being nice, tolerant and denying REALITY…… BUT for telling a ruler the righteous truth.

  41. Michael Eden Says:

    Thanks for the encouragement, HL.

I said something on another comment you wrote that your own words here support:

The truth is not hateful. It is all the lies that become “facts” because cowards refused to stand up for the truth that are hateful.

You mentioned John the Baptist. We can also mention most of the prophets of the Old Testament. Isaiah was placed into a hollowed log, and the log (and Isaiah) was sawed in half. Jesus was murdered by the most harsh and cruel means known to man after the crowd yelled, “Crucify Him!” All of the apostles save John (who himself was tortured and then exiled) were murdered.

And none of them ended up that way by being milktoasts who refused to take a strong stand lest they criticize someone.

Political correctness is moral cowardice. And God didn’t call cowards to political correctness.
