It’s Official: Iran Will Have The Bomb On Obama’s Watch

Obama’s about to have his Cuban Missile contest.  And to quote a famous phrase to the “O” (as in ‘zero’):

Senator, you’re no Jack Kennedy.”

The IAEA severely underestimated the quantity of uraniam Iran actually possessed.  I wonder what would have happened in the election if they’d bothered to get their facts straight.

Remember Joe Biden warning America that President Obama would face a crisis, and it would look for all the world that he had no idea what he was doing, but to place blind faith in his messianic leadership anyway?

Well, brace yourself.  Because Iran will take Obama to school and make the US look like a fat stupid weakling just like they did to Jimmy Carter.

When (because anybody who says ‘if’ is just a retard) Iran develops the bomb, they will have a deterrent to any direct attack by the United States or anyone else.  They will be able to unleash international terrorism as they will without fear of retaliation.  Soon they will be able to close the Strait of Hormuz whenever the hell they want and shut off the world’s oil supply.  And they will start an arms race in the craziest part of the world.

The recent International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) report states that inspectors uncovered 209 kilograms of low-enriched uranium that the Iranians had failed to declare, which brings the total amount that Teheran has so far enriched to over a ton, enough, with additional purification, to produce a nuclear weapon, officials told the New York Times Thursday.

Independent weapons experts told the paper that they were surprised by the figures and criticized the IAEA for conducting inspections of Iran’s nuclear facilities only once a year.

“It’s worse than we thought. It’s alarming that the actual production was underreported by a third,” said Gary Milhollin, the director of the Wisconsin Project on Nuclear Arms Control.

“You have enough atoms” to make a bomb, a senior UN official said, speaking on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the issue.

The IAEA report, which was made public Thursday, stated that the new assessment of the total amount of uranium enriched by Iran factors in 171 kilograms of newly-produced material and 839 kilograms of old production. In the past, however, the agency had only reported 630 kilograms of old production.

The discrepancy between the two figures, 209 kilograms, brought the total amount of uranium enriched by Iran to over a metric ton.

You want to blame Bush, don’t you, you snivelling liberals?  Bush lied (about Iran’s nukes), people will die (under Obama).

Both statements are a reflection of the confusion left by the November 2007 National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) on Iran over Tehran’s intentions regarding nuclear weapons. That estimate was immediately attacked by the right and disowned by the George W Bush administration because it revealed that Iran had halted work on nuclear weapons in 2003.

The real problem with the NIE, however, was that it failed to clarify whether the Islamic Republic was determined to have nuclear weapons or only to have the capability to build them as a “hedge” against possible future developments.

The difference between those two possible Iranian strategies can hardly be overestimated. If Iran is actually pursuing nuclear weapons, the United States would have to choose between coercive diplomacy on Iran or accepting Tehran’s status as a nuclear weapons state and seeking to deter it.

If Iran has a “hedging strategy”, however, the United States could take diplomatic steps that would maximize the incentives for Iran to remain a non-nuclear weapons state indefinitely and not risk an international confrontation.

You appeasing weakling liberal pukes were all over that, calling Bush a warmonger and spouting off about what a liar he was.

Only Bush was right, and you were wrong.

Oh, by the way, Israel was right, too.

Oh, you liberals had total faith in the international estimates.  They were Those Who Could Not Be Wrong.  But they were wrong, wrong, wrong.

The only way to stop Iran from developing the bomb – and the ballistic missile to go with it – is to go to war with them and take them out.  But the US under Obama won’t have the balls to do that.  We elected to be a bunch of socialist weaklings like Europe.

Welcome to the world of nuclear nations, Iran.  Now the countdown to World War III can officially begin.

What do you think Israel will do?

Unfortunately, Israel cannot reach Iran without the US’ permission. It’s not just the financial, military assistance, and diplomatic pressure the US can put on Israel; it’s the fact that the only plausible route takes Israel through Iraqi airspace, controlled by the US. Israel can’t just unilaterally decide to attack Iran; Obama would have to give them permission. I might be wrong, but I don’t see that happening.

On my view, what we’re going to see is dramatically increased terrorism, rather than Iran starting a nuclear war. And, any nuclear attack by Iran would probably be via a terrorist lackey, rather than a direct attack.

Israel’s biggest direct “nuke” threat would be a small, transportable bomb smuggled in through Egypt or some other point. So Israel will need to clamp down on their border crossing (which will of course really tick off the Palestinians and the UN). For the next several years anyway (at least until Iran builds up a significant nuclear arsenal) I don’t see Iran directly going “doomsday.” They’d want to accumulate more “doom” first.

What is truly sick is that the United States – which is the only country that truly has the power to demolish an Iranian nuclear capability – has basically just ALLOWED the craziest and most dangerous terrorist regime on earth to develop nuclear weapons. Pathetic.

It’s the first time I commented here and I must say you provide us genuine, and quality information for bloggers! Good job.
p.s. You have an awesome template . Where have you got it from?

  4. Michael Eden Says:

    floor jacks,

It’s actually just the template that WordPress was using at the time. I’ve never “switched” or added widgets. From my point of view, the simpler, the better (I would rather spend my time writing articles and responding to comments than trying to figure out how to make some widget widget the way I want it to widget).

Thank you for the kind thought.

every country in the world that wishes to be safe from the US corporate warmongers NEEDS nukes.
Israel is friend to no one but Israel.
You either believe in the law or you don’t.
The US broke (and continues to break) all international law pertaining to the Geneva Convention.
The Patriot Act has damaged our constitution and the private Federal Reserve is sucking the wealth out of the country and descimating the middle class.
I hope Iran gets nukes; that way they will not lose millions as we crush them in a bid to steal their resources.
And by the way, Israel is NOT our aly, we have NO treaty with them as it is prohibited due to their illegal stockpile of NUKES.
If you want to fight a cause, tear down the lobbyist strnglehold on Washington that has seen all our industry moved to China.
Big business is NOT the friend of Republican Conservatives, it is our enemy.
Stop insulting liberals; it is silly. Democracy is meant to involve debate.

We’re a warmonger just like when we were warmongers when we defeated Nazi Germany and then the U.S.S.R. – leftist regimes in good standing both.

Please explain which laws under the Geneva Convention the U.S. broke. I most certainly hope you are not trying to argue that we broke laws with our treatment of terrorists. Because the Geneva Conventions only applied to 1) uniformed troops 2) under the legitimate chain-of-command 3) of an organized military 4) belonging to a nation-state. You would be extremely foolish to argue that terrorists and “insurgents” qualify under that standard – so I’m sure you must mean something else.

As for Israel: in a real sense, we DO have a treaty with them. Furthermore, In 1975, Secretary of State Henry Kissinger and Foreign Minister Yigal Allon signed a memorandum that stated: “The United States Government will view with particular gravity threats to Israel’s security or sovereignty by a world power.”

Every single American President from BOTH political parties since Harry Truman in 1948 has officially and repeatedly stated the close and intimate friendship between the United States and Israel – as well as an American commitment to the state of Israel. At least until this one. So you know something that nobody but you and Barack Hussein knows.

Here are a few quotes from an interesting article:

The Syrian government of Hafiz al-Asad also contradicts itself on relations between the U.S. and Israel. When ties to Moscow are strong, Damascus stresses the dangers of imperialist plots and variously derides Israel as “a U.S. base,” America’s “big stick,” and “a mere U.S. aircraft carrier.” In contrast, when Damascus seeks to improve relations with Washington, it blames “world Jewry” for subverting American policy. “The United States does not have a policy of its own in the Middle East,” but blindly follows directives issued in Tel Aviv.

Why did British and American imperialists want Israel to exist? Arabs have a rich assortment of answers to the question. Ash-Sha`b, a leftist Egyptian newspaper, portrays Israel as a branch-office of the Central Intelligence Agency, one which requires CIA “approval and support” before taking almost any step. Ahmad Jibril (leader of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command) dubs Israel “America’s Mideast aircraft carrier.” Khalid al-Hasan, another PLO leader sees Israel as “something like a conglomerate-General Motors, for example.”

And what functions does this intelligence office/aircraft carrier/multinational corporation serve? To jeopardize whatever it may be the speaker holds most dear. Thus, for Nasser, the Pan-Arab leader, Israel endangered Pan-Arab nationalism. His 1962 Charter of National Action dubbed Israel “the tool of imperialism” and “a whip in their hands to fight the struggling Arabs.” In 1968 the PLO was still under Nasser’s influence, so its Covenant accused Israel of being “a geographic base for world imperialism placed strategically in the midst of the Arab homeland to combat the hopes of the Arab nation for liberation, amity and progress.”

So our enemies in the Persian Gulf sure understand that Israel is a valuable asset and ally to the Unites States.

As for your desire that Iran obtain nuclear weapons, that is just insane.

You literally declare a country that has been actively involved in murdering American troops by proxy (see here and here here and here) – just for some quickly found examples – is a better ally of the United States than Israel.

Your last paragraphs, as well as scattered thoughts above them – basically give you up as a communist – the most discredited and failed of all economic philosophies.

But to the extent your accusation of big business has merit, consider this: Big business is NOT a friend of Republican conservatives; it is rather a friend of Democrat liberals. Just as during the Great Depression under FDR, big businesses are hoping that the liberals will attack and undermine smaller competitors to give them a MUCH bigger chunk of an albeitly smaller pie. A Politico story out today shows that Democrats are raking in HUGE Wall Street money and FAR more than Republicans – even as they demonized Republicans for being in bed with Wall Street.
