French President Says Obama Lives In A Fantasy World

Big Government has the fuller story.  The key exchange:

Obama: “We must never stop until we see the day when nuclear arms have been banished from the face of the earth.”

Sarkozy: “We live in the real world, not the virtual world. And the real world expects us to take decisions.”

The rest of Sarkozy’s remarks were every bit as amazing:

“President Obama dreams of a world without weapons … but right in front of us two countries are doing the exact opposite.

“Iran since 2005 has flouted five security council resolutions. North Korea has been defying council resolutions since 1993.

“I support the extended hand of the Americans, but what good has proposals for dialogue brought the international community? More uranium enrichment and declarations by the leaders of Iran to wipe a UN member state off the map,” he continued, referring to Israel.

The sharp-tongued French leader even implied that Mr Obama’s resolution 1887 had used up valuable diplomatic energy.

“If we have courage to impose sanctions together it will lend viability to our commitment to reduce our own weapons and to making a world without nuke weapons,” he said.

Mr Sarkozy has previously called the US president’s disarmament crusade “naive.”

Obama has a “virtual” call for global disarmament.  And Sarkozy basically suggests Obama defecate into one hand and wish into the other, and then see which hand gets full first.

But here’s the thing: Obama is going to offer the hand full of wishes to Iran, North Korea, and other enemies of freedom.  Guess which hand he’s going to keep offering to the rest of us?

Reminds me of the old song from Supertramp:

Dreamer, you stupid little dreamer;
So now you put your head in your hands, oh no!
I said “Far out, – What a day, a year, a life it is!”
You know, – Well you know you had it comin’ to you,
No there’s not a lot I can do.

Only the stupid little dreamer the Supertramp song was referring to was probably not the new leader of the free world.

  1. D.M.D. Says:

And Sarkozy thinks he is the monarch of France, and by extension, the world. Never seen such an oversized ego apart maybe in old Russia, Germany, and, on a more contemporary note, China and North Korea.

  2. Michael Eden Says:

Have to laugh at your character assassination of Sarkozy to protect your messiah. Were the French socialists such as De Gaulle, or Mitterand, or Chirac arrogant beyond belief? Oh, of course not. After all, THEY didn’t oppose the messiah!

And then you compare the guy who is trying to reduce the size of the massive French bureaucracy to COMMUNISTS who literally worship the state? That is just amazing in its sheer lunacy.

You talk about Sarkozy’s “oversized ego.” Strange. I’m not coming across French public school children singing songs of praise and adoration of Sarkozy the way they are of your messiah Obama.

How about this one: Government schools are literally changing the words of well-known songs praising the Son of God to make them about Obama.

Jesus Loves The Little Children Lyrics

“Jesus loves the little children, all the children of the world. Red, yellow, black and white, they are precious in His sight…”

    Obama Worship Song Lyrics

“Barack Hussein Obama. He said Red, yellow, black or white all are equal in his sight…”

Obama messiah. Liberals always despised Jesus; now they have their very own substitute.

The same video above that has the “red, yellow, black or white” line ALSO includes a song praising Obama to the tune of the Battle Hymn of the Republic that sings of the coming of the Lord (“Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord”).

    Prison Planet has more yet.

And you’re talking about Nicholas Sarkozy’s ego?

You people are as deluded and fanatic as your fascist and Marxist big government leftist forebears. Which is why you’re going the same direction they did. You cannot possibly even begin to understand the world as it is.

You were so fixated on your ideological character assassination and your application of the genetic fallacy that it completely escaped your understanding that everything Sarkozy said made sense. To talk about a world without nuclear weapons while Iran and North Korea – two of the most dangerous and evil regimes in the world – are rushing pell mell to obtain them is utterly insane.

  3. D.M.D. Says:

Haha You’re the one going all messiah, jesus and all, yet, you’re the one calling me insane? This is priceless, but not surprising. You seem to belong to that camp tripping on the Moor coming over to slice the diaper to your white Jesus.

Obama is everything but naive and he’s doing what’s right.

I would encourage you to stop reading your book of fairy tales and get your information from valid sources rather than Alex Jones and most certainly Rush Limbaugh and Fox News.

You would then start to grasp my one sentence, as opposed to the schizoid diatribe your keyboard has blown.

Did you know Sarkozy claims Obama’s presidential campaign was entirely inspired by his own? ROFL

But of course, when one believes in the talking snake and such absurdities, in the coke snorted delusions of Jones et al., no wonder the window is blurry.

  4. Michael Eden Says:

I’ve got Jesus. You’ve got Obama.

I presented the evidence of union teachers literally making children sing songs that were about Messiah Jesus with the words changed to make them about Obama. You clearly didn’t mind that, given your response. Silence in both law and contracts implies consent. Hence, your messiah.

On this article that features the comments of Nicholas Sarkozy, you attacked the blasphemer against your messiah with character attacks rather than deal with the substance of what Sarkozy said. Which I now point out for the second time. You don’t say, “Sarkozy’s assessment of Obama’s nuclear policy is wrong because…” because you don’t have the arguments or frankly the brains to do it. So you offer a load of crap instead.

Just like you’re attacking me without dealing with the substance of what I said: namely, your premise is to dismiss Sarkozy as arrogant, while your guy is literally being deified in the government schools.

As another evidence of Obama’s arrogance, let me offer his UN speech. He mentions critics of America, and, rather than offering the greatness of America over the last 250 years, he says, “Just look what I have done in my nine months!” Which is nothing! Obama claimed credit for reducing CO2 even though he hasn’t actually passed ANYTHING on it yet – and even then he had to directly lie in his claims. And I’m supposed to dismiss Sarkozy because of HIS arrogance?

Here you are, stating that somehow MY sources are “fairy tales” when you don’t even have the intelligence or decency to say what is factually untrue about them. Nor do you actually offer any sources of your own to fill the void. You merely wave your hand at “sources” in your own mind. Who’s subscribing to the fairy tales?

In dismissing Alex Jones of Prison Planet, Rush Limbaugh, and Fox News simply by naming them, you proceed to operate under the premise that one of the fundamental historic logical fallacies – the genetic fallacy – is now suddenly to be given intellectual credit. In other words, you merely demonstrate what an abject idiot you are.

As a counter-example, I offer MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann, whom I regard as a liar and a fraud. But if I were to actually argue that something that Olbermann said is untrue simply by virtue of the fact that Keith Olbermann said it, I would be as mindbogglingly and trivially asinine as you clearly are.

That’s why I’m going to block you. You don’t contribute anything. You are a complete waste of time. There simply isn’t any point having a debate with someone who doesn’t offer any facts or any reason.

  5. Dragonlive64 Says:

    Wow, way to go Michael!!

I am so sick of people like D.M.D, who live in their own fantasy world, and have the intellect of a slug!! They go around spouting out propaganda and lies which they memorized from watching Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews!!

Then they blast Fox News and Rush Limbaugh, though Fox is the number one cable news channel, and Rush is smarter than Olbermann and Matthews combined!!

They are the same people that says the US needs to drastically cut it’s demand for oil and coal, but then wants to open the borders and let millions more move in each year, which will sky-rocket demand even more!! How does that make sense??

Ignorance is bliss they say. Sure makes you wonder why Liberals are always so angry doesn’t it!!

  6. Dom Says:

Hey Dragon, no wonder your knowledge of France is so poor if you get your info from Rush, Alex Jones et al. Talk about the intellect of a slug..!

Now,according to your way of thinking, i.e., “though Fox is the number one cable news channel” — I imagine you think popularity validates truth? Since Fox News is popular then it must be true. LOL

Back to the Sarkozy subject: for your information, I take my news and knowledge on the subject from the French press and opinion. I’m French. So don’t go all foaming at the mouth when you clearly don’t know sh*t but what you THINK you know. :P

    Now who’s angry? *wink*

  7. Michael Eden Says:

On my view, liberals can well be extremely intelligent people, IQ-wise. But there’s more to intelligence than having a high IQ. Because intelligence is ultimately about seeing and understanding the world as it really is.

You can be smarter than Einstein, but if you have a flawed and perverted worldview, you will view the world through a warped fun-house mirror kaleidoscope, and everything you “see” will be nonsense. Liberals live in a world of foolish and depraved theories. Take Marxism: just how many times does it have to fail as an economic system and create hell on earth before these people finally reject it? No system in human history has been so universally totalitarian, has so inevitably led to the crushing of the human spirit, or has caused so many millions to perish. How many more millions have to die?

D.M.D. lacked the moral virtue needed to bother to have an argument with. He wants to dismiss my sources out of hand, without thinking for a nanosecond about what is really true or false. If I did the same thing to him, and simply a priori threw out everything he said, we could have no possible basis whatsoever for a rational discussion.

If someone cites the New York Times as a source for a story, I have no right to simply dismiss it, as though every single word in the New York Times is a lie 100% of the time. How would that even work (suppose the New York Times ran a story that said, “The New York Times always lies”? Would that be the truth, or a lie?)? It’s insane. And yet I’m seeing liberals pursue exactly this sort of reasoning on a regular basis (with Fox, or any other source they decide they don’t like). What they are doing is nothing more than basing their entire argument on abandoning the genetic fallacy.

There is no point in trying to argue with such people.

    Obama said:

“Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket.”

And yet he’s still utterly determined to impose the very system that he says will make energy prices skyrocket. Which again is beyond insane, particularly given that nothing that we do will have any significant effect on the amount of the so-called “global warming” gasses.

It’s nothing more than economic redistributionism, which of course is Marxism – and what did I already say about liberals and Marxism above?

  8. Michael Eden Says:

I think it needs to be pointed out that your representation of “being French” gives you more insight into Sarkozy than others is every bit as bogus as your lampooning of Dragon for in any way insinuating that Fox is most accurate because of its higher ratings.

You are right that the popularity of Fox News certainly does not entail its accuracy. As a Frenchman whose people once embraced Nazism under the Vichy French, you should be well aware of the fact that mass media can in fact be nothing more than the basest form of propaganda.

Fox News is quite accurate, according to numerous studies.

Here’s a recent article regarding survey from Sacred Heart University that begins, “Fox News has supplanted CNN as the ‘most trusted’ news source for Americans, a new nationwide poll finds.” Which is another way of saying most Americans completely disagree with you.

Now, that may not prove that Fox News is the most accurate, but it at least compels you to produce your evidence that Fox – believed to be the most trustworthy – is actually the least.

A study done jointly by the University of Chicago and Stanford University found Fox News to be more accurate than most other news sources, in addition to finding a dramatic leftist bias in the news media overall.

    Here’s more to contemplate:

A UCLA study concludes, “almost all major media outlets tilt to the left,” noting that “Of the 20 major media outlets studied, 18 scored left of center.” But you’re probably find that a public university located in liberal California in ultra-liberal Los Angeles is somehow a conservative entity loaded with rightwing bias.

Here are some more media tidbits:
The media has been so blatantly biased throughout its 2008 election coverage that it is completely accurate to say that we are now in a propaganda state. There is no possible way that Republicans can win in this media climate: whether you look at the Media Research Center, or at the Project for Excellence in Journalism (or again at their more recent study), or at the University of Wisconsin’s Wisconsin Advertising Project, there is widespread agreement with one longtime ABC journalist that the media is dangerously biased. Pew Research discovered that Americans believe by a 70% to 9% margin that the media is biased in favor of Obama and against McCain. The media now represents a fifth column of government – a propaganda wing – that attacks conservatives and celebrates and defends Democrats and their ideology. Democracy is going extinct in the country that founded democracy, because no free society can survive such a climate of propaganda.

    From Media Research:

89 percent of Washington-based reporters said they voted for Bill Clinton in 1992. Only seven percent voted for George Bush, with two percent choosing Ross Perot.———–
Based on the 139 Washington bureau chiefs and congressional correspondents who returned the Freedom Forum questionnaire, the Washington-based reporters — by an incredible margin of nine-to-one — overwhelmingly cast their presidential ballots in 1992 for Democrat Bill Clinton over Republican incumbent George Bush.

Major studies and surveys of media accuracy have for several years routinely discovered that the media is overwhelmingly tilted to the left. Fox News looks so “Republican” only because so much of the media is so thoroughly “Democrat.”

In the course of the last week, CNN actually FACT-CHECKED a Saturday Night Live sketch critical of Barack Obama. They never felt the need to “fact check” weekly mockings of Sarah Palin that went on and on for months leading up to the election. And that was bookended by CNN being one of the mainline media sources that fraudulently attributed completely phony racist quotes to Rush Limbaugh that in point of fact he never said. What do you have to say about such a naked display of ideological liberal bias?

  9. Kevin Baille Says:

    Michael Eden.

Obama and Sarkozy are actually quite alike in personnality however, they don’t share the same position. Obama is head of the United States, a country with overwhelming power. Unlike George W. Bush, Obama is giving the image of a reasonable president who wont be abusing the power or at least miss-abusing the power that he has as he is being head of the USA.

Sarkozy however is head leader of a torn in half France whose present issues concern racial discrimation, and social violence. This presidents arrogance is clearly stated by the French president himself when he’s presenting himself in the news and saying that he’s going to jail out all immigrants and street-breakers, etc. By doing so, he chose to be in a side, in which there were 52 % (naive) Frenchmen who thought violence would be the only solution. The violent French people would usually be limiting their president’s actions by provoking riots, etc. And Sarkozy is maliciously using this character trait to his advantage, just like Obama. They just don’t do it the same way, because Americans and French are different. But right now, since Sarkozy appeared, believe me that France is transforming itself into being like America, and America with the economical crash was transforming itself into the old France with socialism.

But whatever the greedy Obama and Sarkozy attempt to do, the American and French culture, tradition, will only act as walls needing a ladder to climb through, until the people will be forced to take actions for themselves.

  10. Michael Eden Says:

There are certainly insights in what you are saying, Kevin, although I disagree with a number of your points (e.g. Bush inreasonable vs. Obama reasonable).

I think that one can so undermine the foundations of a society that there is simply no putting the genie back in the bottle or repairing what is broken. And Western civilization – based as it is on postmodern thought – is increasingly fracturing, dividing, and breaking down. We are reaching the point where repair or restructure is becoming impossible.

France has been creating its problem will immigration for YEARS, by fostering an incredibly low French birthrate, and therefore encouraging/allowing immigration from a bloc of people who will a) not assimilate into French culture and b) will therefore clash with French culture. And the result is at least two years of enormous riots, in what may well become a Summer ritual for young Muslims.

We’re in the process of doing that here (with Hispanic immigrants). And both the French and the Americans who favor this massive influx of immigration think they can benefit by paying slave wages and/or using the dissatisfaction of the group to advance a political agenda.

In the question as to “violent French people” versus “violent Muslim people,” we disagree. And we disagree on other things, as well. But we both seem to agree that self-centered and ideological leaders today are continuing to drive their societies to a breaking point.
