As Democrats Vote, They Openly Acknowledge That Rules Don’t Matter To Them

Constitution, schmonstitution.  Rules, drools.

Democrats don’t give a damn about democracy or the rule of law.  They want what they want, and damn anybody or anything that tries to prevent them from creating their boondoggles.

Here’s Democrat Rep. Alcee Hastings:

“I wish that I had been there when Thomas Edison made the remark that I think applies here: ‘There ain’t no rules around here — we’re trying to accomplish something.’ And therefore, when the deal goes down, all this talk about rules, we make ‘em up as we go along…

As a Democrat in good standing, Hastings is a disgraced ex-federal judge who was impeached by a margin of 413-3 for taking bribes.

But apparently, he is nevertheless one of the more honest of Democrats for admitting the truth about his totally corrupt fellow Democrats.

what do we do now michael? what do we do now?

I know what I do; I realize that we’re truly in the last days, I pray, and I look up for my Christ to come.

This is a disaster. As Steve Hayes put it yesterday, this bill will bankrupt the country (I’ll have an article on that later today).

I believe that we have started ourselves down a road that will inexorably lead to our national ruin. The USA – already $100 trillion in debt counting our Social Security and Medicare unfunded liabilities – will not be able to withstand this new government boondoggle.

Conservatives will continue to fight, but methinks America has just slit open it’s wrists and climbed into the bathtub.

It’s sad to see what has happened to the country, and it’s sadder yet to realize what WILL happen to it. But I’m not dismayed, J.W. I know that ultimately I’m a citizen of Heaven, not America, and when I read the last page of the Book of Revelation, I always take comfort to know that Jesus Christ wins in the end.

“These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).

Thanks for the encouragement Michael, I need it. How I wish I’d been born in a different time! Any time but this one. I have too many years ahead of me with this happening.

I don’t know if this will also help your state of mind, but I’ll put it out.

When I was 16 years old, I understood my own need for Jesus, and the sheer wonderfulness of Christ, and became a Christian. For some reason I don’t even fully remember now, I became interested in Bible prophecy.

I spent a lot of hours seeking to understand what the Bible had to say about the end-times.

At that young age, I had a sense that I would live in the end-times, that I would see a lot of the stuff that was being described in the Bible come true before my eyes.

That belief didn’t frighten me. In a way, it inspired me.

I think of it this way: imagine being able to live during the time of Jesus and then Paul, and see the Christ of Christianity, and then see the spread of the Gospel in fulfillment of Jesus’ parting Great Commission. Man, that would have been great!!! Mind you, Christians really suffered in those days. A lot of Christians were slaughtered like lambs before wolves. Every disciple/apostle except John suffered a martyr’s death. But I would have loved to live in those days, and see Jesus, and follow the apostles’ as they traveled with the Gospel.

Short of those days, these days are pretty incredible, too. You look at the Bible, and realize that 40% of it was prophetic at the time it was written. We have a lot of prophecies about the world in the last days. We can literally read about all kinds of history being made – that the Bible predicted 2-3,000 years ago – right before our eyes.

Yes, the world is going to begin going to hell (literally) before our very eyes. But I look around, and I see confirmation all around me that my God knows the end from the beginning. And that God – who foreknew about the coming antichrist 2,600 years ago whose coming now seems a foregone conclusion – also promised me that He would come and take me away to be with Him.

So I have courage and faith where otherwise I would only have dread.

    Thanks for the encouragement, Michael.

  6. Michael Eden Says:

    You’re welcome, J.W.

And thanks for your comments, as they are an encouragement to me.
