The study by two Stanford University doctors showed the treatment part of PEPFAR, the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, which involves making drug treatment available to about 2 million people, has shown solid success while the prevention efforts under the program have not yet produced the same concrete results.
“It has averted deaths – a lot of deaths – with about a 10 percent reduction compared with neighboring African countries,” said Dr. Eran Bendavid, a fellow in infectious disease and in health policy and research at Stanford who led the study. “However, we could not see a change in prevalence rates that was associated with PEPFAR.” […]

This liar without shame, character, or honor who billed himself as the leader who would transcend ideology and partisanship is now out there telling one group of people – one RACE of people, in fact – to “punish” another group, another race, as “enemies.”
There is no question that this evil man broke his “core promise” to the American people.

Sorry, “dude,” but “this was the moment” when America elected a big emission of fart gas. Nothing more.
And now a whole hell of a lot of Democrats are realizing that their “messiah” was nothing more than a puff of flatulence in a hurricane.
WASHINGTON – Democratic voters are closely divided over whether President Barack Obama should be challenged within the party for a second term in 2012, an Associated Press-Knowledge Networks Poll finds.
That glum assessment carries over into the nation at large, which is similarly divided over whether Obama should be a one-term president.
A real Democratic challenge to Obama seems unlikely at this stage and his re-election bid is a long way off. But the findings underscore how disenchanted his party has grown heading into the congressional elections Tuesday.
The AP-KN poll has tracked a group of people and their views since the beginning of the 2008 presidential campaign. Among all 2008 voters, 51 percent say he deserves to be defeated in November 2012 while 47 percent support his re-election — essentially a tie.
Among Democrats, 47 percent say Obama should be challenged for the 2012 nomination and 51 percent say he should not be opposed. Those favoring a contest include most who backed Hillary Rodham Clinton’s unsuccessful faceoff against Obama for the 2008 nomination. The poll did not ask if Democrats would support particular challengers.
America needed a leader, and instead it got a failure-in-chief who is such a lightweight puff of fart gas that he needs to use his damn teleprompter even at minor staff meetings, and at even at elementary schools to talk to 6th graders.
That’s not presidential and it’s not leadership; it’s a scripted pompous jackass who can’t even keep his own bullcrap rhetoric straight unless he can read it off a pair of screens.
Democrats mocked George Bush because of the occasional verbal gaffe. But they joke is on them now, or, more appropriately, THEY are the joke now. Because George Bush could actually get through a sentence without reading it off a damn screen, unlike the pathetic loser who has since replaced him:

Resting on top of a tall, narrow pole, they flank his podium during speeches in the White House’s stately parlors. They stood next to him on the floor of a manufacturing plant in Indiana as he pitched his economic stimulus plan. They traveled to the Department of Transportation this week and were in the Capitol Rotunda last month when he paid tribute to Abraham Lincoln in six-minute prepared remarks.
Obama’s reliance on the teleprompter is unusual — not only because he is famous for his oratory, but because no other president has used one so consistently and at so many events, large and small.
Like I said, “the One” is nothing but empty, hollow fart gas.
And everyone who voted for him ought to be completely ashamed of themselves.
Democrats are morally stupid people. But even nearly half of them have finally realized what a turd they put into the most powerful office in the world (at least it used to be before he wasted it like he wasted $3 trillion in borrowed money our great grandchildren will still be paying back to China).
“Despite voters feelings toward Obama personally, 56 percent say he does not deserve to be re-elected, while 38 percent say he does deserve to be re-elected president.” Worse, Schoen adds, “43 percent say that Barack Obama has been a better president than George W. Bush, while 48 percent say Bush was a better president than Obama has been.”
It now stands as a simple matter of fact that “Obama” stands for “One Big Ass Mistake, America.”
How much more failure do you want?
Vote these fool Democrats out of office on Tuesday, or be prepared to accept two more years of demagogic blame and constant excuses.

The previous record was 52 seats, set the LAST time a Democrat president led a Democrat Congress. Way to go, SanFran Nan. You and your pal Barry Hussein have led to the greatest destruction of a major political party in U.S. history.
Tuesday night will be a bad one for Democrats. But how bad?
Let’s survey the political soothsayers: The Rothenberg Political Report now predicts Republicans could take somewhere between 55 and 65 Democratic seats “with gains at or above 70 seats possible.” The Cook Political Report says the Democratic losses could total somewhere between 48 and 60 seats “with higher losses possible.”
Nate Silver, whose FiveThirtyEight blog makes predictions based on a weighted average of available polling, puts the number at 53 – and offers no caveats.
“The midterm maelstrom pulling House Democrats under shows no signs of abating, if anything it has intensified,” wrote the folks at the Cook Political Report. “House Democrats are suffering the full violence of this national undertow.”
With the hours ticking down to Nov. 2, the field of imperiled races seems to keep expanding for Democrats. Just this week, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee started spending money to defend Reps. Gabrielle Giffords in Arizona, Ron Klein in Florida and Chris Murphy in Connecticut, among others, according to disclosures filed with the Federal Election Commission. Rothenberg puts a total of 98 seats held by Democrats in play, with only nine Republican-held seats in the contested column.
Mr. Silver at FiveThirtyEight hasn’t officially turned out the lights for House Democrats. They still have a 17% chance of retaining the House, he says, but adds: “their chances of doing so essentially boil down to there being systemic errors in the polling” and the other indicators he uses to compile predictions.
No compromise. Thus began the Obama regime. Total Democrat control, with rabidly leftist agenda after agenda rammed down America’s throat, like it or not. The stimulus. ObamaCare.
“If Latinos sit out the election instead of saying, ‘We’re gonna punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us,’ if they don’t see that kind of upsurge in voting in this election, then I think it’s gonna be harder and that’s why I think it’s so important that people focus on voting on November 2.”
We’re literally going to need a white Rosa Parks to tell Obama that she isn’t getting up to ingratiate herself to his despicable, immoral and perverse agenda.
It’s not Islamic terrorists who are our enemies in the United Socialist States of Obamastan; it’s white people who vote Republican. And if you are a racist Democrat, you need to punish Americans. Hurt them. Destroy them. Break them.
Obama will lead this country to ruin, like Ahab pursuing the white whale come what may. “Change” is clearly not in him when it comes to changing his own pathological agenda.
The only problem is that the American people aren’t quite the sheep that the rest of the world have turned into. At least, not yet.
If Obamacare is completely implemented, doctors will no longer be practicing medicine. They will instead become the drones tasked with deciding who gets the meager healthcare crumbs doled out by the bureaucrats who have the ultimate power over patient life and death. Those who are deemed to have illnesses that require treatments which are not cost effective can expect a one way ticket to a hospice.
Like so many bills passed by Congress, there was a hidden provision in the Stimulus bill passed in 2009. It spends 1.1 billion dollars to create an important piece of the framework for the healthcare bill called the Coordinating Council on Comparative Effectiveness Research. It is based on the false premise that doctors in consultation with their patients don’t have the ability to make the right healthcare choices (see executive summary). The council consists of 15 people appointed by the President.
They all have one thing in common–they are all isolated from day to day patient care; and therefore, are insulated from the real practice of the art of medicine. It makes it easy to see patients as a cost center to be controlled. With views of members like Dr Emanuel, who champions the complete-lives system, it is hard to ignore the probability that senior citizens, those with chronic illness, and the very young will be on the outside looking in. This council is another example of the people of this country being told by the government that it knows what is best for us.
The framework set up by the stimulus bill merely set the stage for the implementation found in the healthcare reform bill. How can the government get doctors to participate in Obamacare thereby a) willingly destroying the doctor patient relationship, and b) betraying their Hippocratic Oath to provide treatments that they deem to be effective? Simple – fear and intimidation.
A second board created by the stimulus bill called The National Coordinator for Health Information Technology “will determine treatment at the time and place of care”. They are charged with deciding the course of treatment for the diagnosis given by the doctor. Now it becomes obvious why there has been a big push towards the implementation of universal electronic medical record use. It becomes a tool to completely control the physician and the patient. Those physicians and hospitals that choose to practice individualized patient care in consultation with their patients will be punished because they are not “meaningful users of the system over time.” Beginning January 1, 2013, penalties for doing the right thing for a patient will cost the doctor $100,000 for the first offense and jail for the second offense. This will have a chilling effect and may be the straw that completely breaks the foundation of good medicine – the doctor patient relationship.
46% of physiciansin a survey by The New England Journal of Medicine stated that they would leave the practice of medicine if Obamacare was implemented. This will only further decrease the quality of healthcare when the 30 million more people enter the system. Maybe that’s why there is a big push in the healthcare bill to increase the number of other providers such as physician assistants and nurse practitioners. There is no question that rationing will become our future. If you add 30 million more people into a system with fewer resources how could you possibly avoid rationing? Perhaps those members of Congress who passed this nightmare don’t care since they made sure that it wouldn’t apply to them.
Doctor Elaina George makes it crystal clear: ObamaCare was never about health or care; it was always about massively increasing control over the people by government. Government as God. Government as the arbiter of life and death.
It can best be summed up in the words of former Clinton Secretary of Labor and current Obama supporter and adviser Robert Reich, who said of health care:

Add to that Democrat states such as New York and Illinois disenfranchising military service members – who vote heavily Republican – of the right to vote in violation of the law.
There was the “sales pitch” that ObamaCare would bend the cost-curve down; that if you liked your health plan you could keep it; that the mandates weren’t a tax; etcetera. And every single one of those promises was just an obscene lie.
To be a Democrat today is to support institutional cheating, fraud and lies. If you are a Democrat, you are a despicable cheating liar by proxy. Just embrace it. It is what you vote for. It is what you support. It is who and what you are. And shame on you.

Kevin Brady (R., Texas) tells me by phone. “They vetted it based on all 2,801 pages of the Obamacare legislation. They captured this new law’s stunningly complexity.”
Just another of oh-so-many proofs that this election is a plebiscite on national integrity. If we as a nation are without honor, decency, honor, or virtue, then we will vote for Democrats.
This is pretty extraordinary. Alex Sink, locked in a tight gubernatorial race in Florida with Rick Scott, reads a message on a Droid shown to her by her make-up artist. That’s against the CNN debate rules. It’s cheating. Scott notices what she’s doing and blows the whistle.
The attorney who [w]on the Sykes suit said alex sink did nothing wrong. Tell not to let him keep talking about her.
Sink was clearly being surreptitious and, far from declining to read the message once she saw it related to the debate, she actively participated in the subterfuge. She was content to be coached and her body language indicates she knew she was doing something wrong.
That’s bad enough. What’s really disgraceful is what she does afterwards. She supposedly fires an aide (initially unnamed but now identified as Brian May, the person who apparently signed the campaign’s agreement to the debate rules) and issues a statement saying this:
While he [the aide] told me it was out of anger with Rick Scott’s repeated distortion of facts, it was a foolish thing to do.
In the annals of non-apology apologies, this takes some beating. The candidate cheats. There is no admission of personal responsibility at all and an aide is blamed. Then she goes one step further, justifying an aide’s ‘foolish’ actions as being motivated by ‘anger’ with her opponent’s ‘repeated distortion of facts’.
Okaaaay. So the candidate’s position is that she didn’t cheat but anyway it’s all her opponent’s fault? It’s the kind of thing few parents would let a six-year-old get away with.
No wonder so many Americans are so disillusioned with their politicians.

That “big lie” success is why the world has seen so many monsters who continue to gain and hold power all over the planet to this very day.
These days we’ve got a whole new crop of socialist plying the same strategy right here in America. Just lie outrageously and keep lying outrageously. Lie until your political party and the nation that you so terribly mislead are both in total chaotic shambles. And then lie some more. So the latest spin by the left-wing media and the White House is to repeat the following mantra, “Obama created more jobs in 2010 than Bush did in eight years.” However, how much sense does it make to compare an arbitrary nine-month period for Obama to a full eight-year term? Well none, none at all, at least not within the realm of rational human thought. For those of us who are rationally-minded, we will begin with the month that Obama took office, and compare his full term to-date with whomever.
Turning to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), when we added up the total number of private sector jobs created during Obama’s short twenty one month tenure, we found that a total of 2,991,000 had been lost (110,961,000 – 107,970,000). Oops!
Although I too could cherry-pick and find periods where private sector job growth was up by 4 or 5 million under Bush, I choose to remain among the rational. Needless to say, private sector job growth was at least slightly positive over Bush’s eight-year term, while under Obama, the words – worst track record in history – come to mind.
Is there no shame?

That’s not just an oxymoron; it’s a category fallacy. The modern Democrat Party is the party is the party of shameless liars.
Two years after Barack Obama took power, and now four years after Democrats took over Congress, the Democrat message is still “blame Bush” and “blame Republicans.” Because they literally have no other message. Your supposed to believe that Democrats bear – to again use the math – zero-point-zero-zero responsibility for the last two years when they were in complete control of the government, or the last four years when they were in complete control of both branches of Congress.
The big lie is alive and well and residing in the Democrat Party. Only it might better be called “the big excuse.” Whatever you want to call it, please vote it out of power these next seven days.

SEATTLE – When Maria Gianni is knocking on voters’ doors, she’s not bashful about telling people she is in the country illegally. She knows it’s a risk to advertise to strangers that she’s here illegally — but one worth taking in what she sees as a crucial election.
The 42-year-old is one of dozens of volunteers — many of them illegal immigrants — canvassing neighborhoods in the Seattle area trying to get naturalized citizens to cast a ballot for candidates like Democratic Sen. Patty Murray, who is in a neck-to-neck race with Republican Dino Rossi.
Pramila Jayapal, head of OneAmerica Votes, says the campaign is about empowering immigrants who may not feel like they can contribute to a campaign because they can’t vote.
“Immigrants really do matter,” Jayapal said. “If we can’t vote ourselves, we’re gonna knock on doors, or get family members to vote.”
