Of the sons of Issachar, men who understood the times, with knowledge of what Israel should do, their chiefs were two hundred; and all their kinsmen were at their command — 1 Chronicles 12:32
The hypocrisy of the liberals is, as always, beyond belief.
Remember how they bitched about every Bush national security program, no matter how obviously necessary each program clearly was? The Patriot Act was a despicable and un-American violation of our freedoms. Domestic Eavesdropping of telephone calls to or from people on terrorist watch lists was a despicable and un-American violation of our freedoms. Even though there was absolutely no evidence whatsoever than a single American citizen had his or her rights deprived. Now they rabidly defend treating every single American who flies like a terrorist, in obvious violation of their 4th Amendment rights.
Well, for the record, no we don’t. We could be like the Israelis – who have the safest record in the world – and profile.
But look at this: the TSA has now exempted the pilots and the flight attendants (union employees, both) from a clearly despicable and un-American violation of their rights and freedoms. The Obama administration is going to exempt union workers from having their 4th Amendment rights violated, but will go ahead and keep violating every other citizen’s 4th Amendment rights.
TSA spokesman Nicholas Kimball said, “Flight attendants, like pilots, are a known and trusted group.”
Now, that’s common sense, on one hand. But it’s also clearly “profiling.”
For example, aren’t elderly nuns ALSO a “known and trusted group”??? What evidence can the government provide that elderly nuns should be less trusted than pilots and flight attendants?
Now show me the elderly nun who has crashed a passenger jet aircraft.
Now that we’ve established the “known and trusted” character of elderly nuns in relation to the considerably less “known and trusted” status of pilots and flight attendants, can’t we also easily come up with a long, long, long list of people who are in a “known and trusted group”???
As an example, not only have I never committed a terrorist act, but no one LIKE ME ever has, either. Unlike, say, airline pilots. Which is to say I’M part of a “known and trusted group,” too. Dammit.
But, no. Because liberals are jackasses and fools, I have to be treated just like the groups that clearly are NOT to be trusted. Because for liberals, to treat the group that is responsible for 99.9999999999999999999999999999999999% of all terrorist attacks differently than my group that has never attacked anybody is somehow wrong.
What can I say, but, “I know why the caged bird sings…”
Update, 11/23/10: A CNN report (click here for the video) effectively blows to smithereens the Obama administration deceit that the “enhanced” security measures do any good at all.
But that aint stopping Obama from moving “fool speed ahead”:
[End update]
In the age of Obama, The TSA is making sure to put the T and A in “TSA.”
We don’t need no porno-scanners
We don’t need no weird gropings
No sex offenses in our airports
Obama leave those kids alone
Hey! Obama! Leave my junk alone!
All in all it’s NOT another brick in the wall.
All in all you’re NOT another brick in the wall
We need a new book for children in our public schools now to go along with all the ones about having two daddies:
But don’t feel left out. Because Obama doesn’t just want to do an “aggressive pat-down” of your little boys and girls. He’s an equal opportunity junk fondler:
Here’s a junk-fondling story for you junk-fondling story lovers:
Her name is Cathy Bossy, a 32-year industry veteran, and in a remarkable interview with WBTVshe recalls a screening episode that played out some three months back. (Pat-Downs 101: Find out what’s in store for you)
Working as a flight attendant, Bossy tells WBTV that she was subjected in North Carolina to one of the first rounds of inspections via full body-scanners; a procedure that concerned this breast cancer survivor from the start, due to the radiation involved.
But it was when she was selected for a more thorough pat-down that she says an uncomfortable situation crossed the line.
Bossy told WBTV that her screener zeroed in quickly on her right breast – a prosthetic breast she was fitted with after cancer surgery – and demanded to know why the breast felt unusual. When informed that it was a prosthesis, the inspector allegedly instructed Bossy to both show, and then remove, the artificial extension.
Hey! Obama! Leave her junk alone! And I mean her prosthetic junk, too.
What in the world is wrong with you people???
If someone did that to my mother, there would be some payback.
And by titling the article, “The TSA Horror Story to Trump Them All,” it was practically a dare for the TSA to provide an even better horror story – which they were easily able to provide:
A retired special education teacher on his way to a wedding in Orlando, Fla., said he was left humiliated, crying and covered with his own urine after an enhanced pat-down by TSA officers recently at Detroit Metropolitan Airport.
“I was absolutely humiliated, I couldn’t even speak,” said Thomas D. “Tom” Sawyer, 61, of Lansing, Mich.
Sawyer is a bladder cancer survivor who now wears a urostomy bag, which collects his urine from a stoma, or opening in his abdomen. “I have to wear special clothes and in order to mount the bag I have to seal a wafer to my stomach and then attach the bag. If the seal is broken, urine can leak all over my body and clothes.”
On Nov. 7, Sawyer said he went through the security scanner at Detroit Metropolitan Airport. “Evidently the scanner picked up on my urostomy bag, because I was chosen for a pat-down procedure.”
Due to his medical condition, Sawyer asked to be screened in private. “One officer looked at another, rolled his eyes and said that they really didn’t have any place to take me,” said Sawyer. “After I said again that I’d like privacy, they took me to an office.”
Sawyer wears pants two sizes too large in order to accommodate the medical equipment he wears. He’d taken off his belt to go through the scanner and once in the office with security personnel, his pants fell down around his ankles. “I had to ask twice if it was OK to pull up my shorts,” said Sawyer, “And every time I tried to tell them about my medical condition, they said they didn’t need to know about that.”
Do this kind of stuff with the wrong guy’s dad, and you’re going to see a whole new kind of “domestic terrorist.”
Now, if this man voted for Obama, they should strip him naked in public and double check all his cavities using a dirty toilet plunger. And let him cry a river. Because if you voted for a fascist, you should get your fascism right up your wazoo. But if not, this crap is just depraved.
Do we need this for our national security?
Do you know how many terrorists the TSA have busted? Try ZERO. And that’s ZERO-POINT-ZERO-ZERO for you math whizzes.
What do the experts of the world’s most successful nation dealing with terrorism have to say about the Tits and Ass Agency’s methods?
Leading Israeli airport security expert says the Canadian government has wasted millions of dollars to install “useless” imaging machines at airports across the country.
“I don’t know why everybody is running to buy these expensive and useless machines. I can overcome the body scanners with enough explosives to bring down a Boeing 747,” Rafi Sela told parliamentarians probing the state of aviation safety in Canada.
“That’s why we haven’t put them in our airport,” Sela said, referring to Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion International Airport, which has some of the toughest security in the world.
Sela, former chief security officer of the Israel Airport Authority and a 30-year veteran in airport security and defence technology, helped design the security at Ben Gurion.
“Expensive and useless.” That’s the entire Obama presidency summed up in three words.
The fact of the matter is that you can bring down a 747 with just a few grams of PETN, if you know where to sit on an aircraft (and the terrorists know where to sit). You can insert the device in your anal cavity, and there is no way the machines will pick it up. As for the enhanced patdowns (or whatever you want to call the gropings), try to feel something that could be the size of a grain of rice wearing latex gloves.
PETN has a relative effectiveness factor of 1.66 per 1.773 grams which produces a detonation velocity of 8400 meters per second. 0.6 kilograms of PETN is equal to the destructive power of 1 kilogram of TNT… [A] single gram of it would have been enough to rip apart the section of the plane in which he was located in mere tenths of a second were it exposed to its autoignition temperature
Soon a terrorist will bring down a plane with an explosive that he had up his anal cavity. And the day after that the Tits and Ass Agency will be requiring everyone flying to submit to bending over, dropping their drawers or hiking their skirts, and submitting to an anal probing.
Because anal probings are the inherent nature of liberalism, anyway.
Which is to say, no matter how you slice it, we don’t need Obama’s porno-cancer scanner machines, or his hired federal gropers to have security.
Common sense is like rocket science to moral idiots. And Barry Hussein, Eric Holder, Janet Napolitano and everyone else he’s brought on board is a genuine moral idiot.
Liberals self-righteously tell us that profiling Muslims by race would be un-American. Because “American” to them means that we must instead treat EVERYONE like a terrorist. A flight attendant with a prosthetic breast is as much a security threat as a 23 year-old Muslim male just arriving from Yemen. To single anyone out for scrutiny would make sense, and we won’t have that as long as Barry Hussein is our emperor. Because in Obama’s liberal America we stand like sheep in front of porno-scanners that take naked pictures of us, and then we stand like sheep while we’re groped by professional government gropers.
They don’t want to violate anybody’s rights. Far better to violate EVERYBODY’S rights instead.
Remember the ecstatic Newsweek headline, “We Are All Socialists Now”??? Socialism invariably ends up treating the people like the enemy. Think Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, with their Berlin Wall and all the machine gun emplacements to gun down anyone trying to get out.
If you don’t think it’s bad enough now as it is, the Tits and Ass Agency wants to unionize, which would make them even more intrusive and impervious than they already are.
“You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor and you will have war” — Winston Churchill, commenting on Neville Chamberlain’s “peace in our time” signing of the Munich Agreement with Hitler
There’s got to be a voice screaming in the head of every single American that something is just not right – and that Barry Hussein and the Democrat Party are bringing this nation to the verge of destruction.
But then, many Americans are Democrats, and that screaming voice has to compete with all the other screaming voices in their heads.
Analysis of weekly unemployment data and covered employees shows that 5,977,844 benefit-paying jobs have been lost in the last year.
click on chart for sharper image
The above chart is from reader Tim Wallace. I added the date and numeric annotations. Thanks Tim!
Covered Employment Stats of Merit
Covered employment is back to 2004 levels.
Close to 6 million benefits paying jobs have vanished in a year.
Over 8 million benefits paying jobs have vanished since the 2008 peak.
What is a Covered Employee?
The exact meaning of “covered employee” varies slightly state to state, but not by much. In simple terms it means one is eligible for unemployment insurance benefits.
Most states exclude the self-employed, commission based employment such as real estate agents, those in student training programs, academic and hospital internships, employment by churches or religious organizations, and rehabilitation programs.
Self-employed individuals must pay into unemployment insurance programs, however, the self-employed are not eligible for benefits anywhere.
Nearly 6 Million Jobs Vanish
By the above interpretation, it is safe to conclude that 5,977,844 jobs totally vanished (not just benefit paying jobs).
The only way that cannot be true is if there was a sudden shocking increase in the number of real estate agents, church hiring, or close to 6 million people all of a sudden decided to go into business for themselves.
All of those possibilities are highly unlikely to say the least.
Tim Wallace writes ….
The ANNUAL ADDITIVE TREND from 2004 to 2008 of 1.9 million is now a net loss of 8 million the past two years
Year….Covered………..Number added from previous year
2004….126,276,670….Data from hard copy sheets
2005….127,622,590….1,345,920
2006….130,605,286….2,982,696
2007….132,623,886….2,018,600
2008….133,902,387….1,278,501 average added per yr = 1,906,429
2009….131,823,421….-2,078,966
2010….125,845,577….-5,977,844
Did the stimulus SAVE or CREATE any jobs, or did we lose over 8 million jobs in two years in spite of record amounts of stimulus?

Was there a Massive Surge in Retirees?
click on chart for sharper image
There was no massive surge in retirees so that cannot account for the loss of benefits-paying jobs.
Retiree Data
In October of 2006 there were 30,908,097 retirees.
In October of 2007 there were 31,467,071 retirees, an increase of 558,974.
In October of 2008 there were 32,222,895 retirees, an increase of 755,824.
In October of 2009 there were 33,366,881 retirees, an increase of 1,143,986.
In October of 2010 there were 34,463,650 retirees, an increase of 1,096,769.
Information on retirees is from the Social Security Administration. It undercounts retirees not in the system so actual numbers would be somewhat higher.
The number of retirees is certainly increasing which suggests the number of jobs needed to keep the unemployment rate steady is dropping. It also helps explain a falling participation rate (although not at the rate that it is falling).
That aside, the growth in the number of retirees cannot begin to explain the massive loss of benefits-paying jobs.
The increase in retirees from 2008 to 2010 is only 2,240,755 total. Civilian population growth was rose by 1,980,000 just last year.
Scroll down to page 5: HOUSEHOLD DATA Summary table A. Household data, seasonally adjusted.
click on chart for sharper image
The first item of interest is the Civilian Noninstitutional Population (i.e the population aged 16 and up not in school, prison, or other institutions).
In the last year, the table shows Civilian Noninstitutional Population rose by 1,980,000 an average gain of 165,000 potential workers a month.
Expected Increase In Workforce
In the last year the Civilian Noninstitutional Population rose by 1,980,000. There were 1,096,769 retirees. That mean the labor force should have increased by 883,231 workers. Instead the BLS reports the labor force increased by 50,000 workers (second line in table A above).
The rest supposedly dropped out of the workforce.
Hard Facts
Please remember the numbers in Table A are from phone surveys, seasonally adjusted, and arguably quite error prone.
On the other hand, the covered employees chart was produced from actual jobs data from the states.
Hard data says the US lost 5,977,844 benefits-paying jobs in a year, and 8,056,810 benefits-paying jobs in 2 years when we should have gained close to a million jobs a year or so based on population growth, even factoring in the number of retirees.
6 Million Benefits-Paying Jobs Vanish and Unemployment Rate Drops!
In spite of losing nearly 6 million benefits-paying jobs in the last year (and not gaining another 800,00 to a million more based on population growth minus retirees), the unemployment rate in October of 2009 was 10.1% and it is now supposedly a half-point lower at 9.6%.
California is in a total meltdown. But don’t worry. The state elected a governor formerly known as “Moonbeam” to face reality so the residents wouldn’t have to. It re-elected the most ideological witch (I’m sorry, SENATOR Witch – she worked so darned hard for that title) in the entire US Senate. And it actually ADDED to the number of Democrats who already had total control of the state. Oh, and it passed a proposition that will give Democrats even more total control by making the Republican minority totally irrelevant in the budget process.
Which is another way of staying, it’s time for all the rats to jump overboard and start paddling furiously. Because the Good Ship Lollipop is about to take a trip to Davy Jones’ Locker. And she aint no submarine:
“It might be argued that muni markets are merely reflecting similar declines in Treasuries (TLT). Fair enough. Bond holders, though, are probably are more interested in the fact that their bonds have declined rather than why.
Warren Buffett warned back in June on the muni bond market as local and state municipalities struggle to meet their obligations amid declining tax revenues.
There was a time — before the 2008 crash — when triple AAA rated, insured munis were seen as the safest of safe investments. Times have changed though. Only Assured Guarantee (AGO) still insures municipals, but the company has been recently downgraded from AAA to AA. Ambac (ABK) is in bankruptcy. MBIA (MBI) is entangled in litigation and no longer writes new policies. The financial guarantee business today is but a shadow of its past.
Even though defaults, so far, are rare, the Fed’s zero interest rate policy has thrown a cloud of uncertainty over all bond markets. One can’t help but wonder what happens when ZIRP is withdrawn. Declining tax revenues, rating downgrades, loss of insurance and rumors of bailouts all contribute to the uncertainity and suspicion.
It may be wise to lighten up on all medium to long term bonds at this juncture. Greece, Ireland and Portugal may not be as far removed from New York, Illinois, and California as we might wish.” More…
You have got to love the above quote especially when it says that this precipitous drop is no cause for alarm but at the same time it might be a good idea to lighten up. We prefer to say that there is panic in the California bond markets.
Basically what investors are saying is that they want more interest from these bonds because they are not paying enough. When bonds go down interest on the bond goes up. The problem is that California has no money. The more it raises taxes, the worse the economy does and the less revenue there is. Where is the money going to come from to pay more interest?
The answer is that it will not come from anywhere. The bond market knows this and is getting rid of this investment in search of better performance. It could also be argued that the bond market is also giving the newly elected government Jerry Brown and his union supporters a vote of no confidence. The bond markets know that Brown and Company will not be able to find the money to pay higher bond yields and therefore the value of the bond is greatly diminished.
At least 80% of states are in this mess and Arizona is no exception. Just yesterday a Hispanic man on Access, Arizona’s welfare healthcare system. was denied a liver transplant because the Obamacare health care reform has heaped an extra $1.2 billion shortfall on the state. There was outrage that this man was not able to get his liver. What does this have to do a a collapsing bond market? People still just expect government to pay and pay and pay and that money is unlimited. This collapse of the bond market signals very clearly that the party is over and the money has dried up even though many people expect differently.
Arizona just does not have the means to pay its existing overhead or to raise money through the bond market. The more states raise taxes the less tax revenue comes in because our economy is shrinking. Arizona’s plight is no different than California’s and the illustration of the PCK bond fund collapse reflects clearly that the markets are signaling they have no faith in the states’ abilities to pay their bills.
Someone is probably going to say, “But Arnold Schwarzenegger was a Republican!”
Because everyone knows that a guy who is pro-gay marriage, pro-abortion, pro-embryonic stem cell research, pro-global warming alarmist, pro-radical environmental agenda, pro-illegal immigrant, pro-bailout, and pro-Obama-stimulus, is clearly a “Republican.”
And California decided to teach RINO pseudo-Republicans a lesson by deciding to pass on the successful billionaire chief executive officer of the incredibly successful company and elect Moonbeam instead!!! Because I don’t want to look at the hand I just pooped in; I want to look at all the wishes in my other hand instead.
Because California’s unemployment rate is 12.4%, and, after two years of bennies, liberals have decided that unemployed workers should get a lifetime of unemployment benefits so they never need to worry about finding a job.
Last night in front of an audience of hundreds at a presentation at the University of Southern California, TV personality Bill Nye — popularly known as the “Science Guy” — collapsed midsentence as he walked toward a podium. Early indications are that Nye is OK, but what’s odd about the incident isn’t so much Nye’s slight health setback as the crowd’s reaction. Or, more precisely, its nonreaction, according to several accounts.
It appears that the students in attendance, rather than getting up from their seats to rush to Nye’s aid, instead pulled out their mobile devices to post information about Nye’s loss of consciousness.
Alastair Fairbanks, a USC senior in attendance for Nye’s presentation, told the Los Angeles Times that “nobody went to his aid at the very beginning when he first collapsed — that just perplexed me beyond reason.” The student added, “Instead, I saw students texting and updating their Twitter statuses. It was just all a very bizarre evening.”
Indeed, a cursory search on Twitter revealed a virtual play-by-play account of the incident. One student wrote, “Bill Nye tripped on his computer cord while speaking at USC, was out for abt 5 secs, got back up, spoke w/ slurred speech and fainted.”
According to the school’s student news outlet, the Daily Trojan, Nye asked, “What happened? How long was I out?” when he regained consciousness. Briskly picking up his humorous persona, he added, “Wow, that was crazy. I feel like Lady Gaga or something.” Nye’s publicity team didn’t immediately respond to The Lookout’s request for comment on the episode.
Still, in the annals of the digital public’s civic indifference, the Nye incident is nowhere near as disturbing as another episode reported in New Orleans earlier this week, which oddly enough also involved a humorist. Anthony Barre, a New Orleans man popular for his acid-tongued comic performances on YouTube using the handle “Messy Mya,” was murdered on the streets of the city’s 7th Ward — the historically Creole neighborhood chronicled in the HBO series “Treme.” As he lay dying, witnesses at the scene took to the Internet to chronicle the tragedy in real time, even posting photos of his body lying in a pool of blood.
Moments after gunshots roared through the 7th Ward on Sunday night, a lone snapshot appeared on the Internet.
In it, a 22-year-old man is lying cheek to the ground, crimson pooling around his neck. His eyes are closed, his torso curled.
Chaos explodes around him, with the arms of others pressed to the back of his head. And someone is holding a cell phone just inches from his face.
This is how the world learned of Messy Mya’s death.
Prior to this week’s episodes, perhaps the best-known incident of youthful digital passivity in the face of danger was the September 2007 tasing of University of Florida student Andrew Meyer at a speech delivered by Massachusetts Democratic Sen. John Kerry. That episode immortalized the expression “Don’t tase me, bro!” The crowd of onlookers trying to capture the encounter on their cellphone cameras later prompted Comedy Central host Stephen Colbert to imagine the internal monologue of a bored-looking kid seated next to Meyer thusly: “He’s thinking, ‘I wish they’d stop tasing this guy, so I can get home and watch him being tased on YouTube.’ “
There’s a line of dialogue I remember from a movie called “Wild Bill” as the two characters entered a sleazy town:
And here’s a “part” of the Bible this incident reminds me of:
“But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these” (Saint Paul, in 2 Timothy 3:1-5).
And dang, doesn’t texting and tweeting and video cameras ever bring to life the “malicious gossips” section of this prophetic passage?
I can’t even imagine a man collapsing in front of me and not rushing over to try to help him. So imagine how unimaginable it must be for me to imagine a huge crowd of people texting and twittering while a man falls down and lies unconscious on a stage.
A week ago I had a VA (Veterans Administration) appointment. A man in a wheelchair was trying to get through a door that shut on him. Ten of us immediately got up from our seats to help him.
But that was a far, FAR better generation than “the last days” group we’ve got now. It makes me nauseous to think about these effete, sanctimonious, sycophantic, self-righteous snobs.
These are the punks who voted for Obama in such huge numbers in 2008. They’re the ones who lecture us about the environment and taxes and gay marriage and abortion and illegal immigration and ObamaCare and big government and all the other politically correct crap.
On the tape, Gore states: “When I was your age and the civil rights revolution was unfolding, and we kids asked our parents and their generation, ‘Explain to me again why it’s okay for the law to officially discriminate against people because of their skin color?’
“And when our parents’ generation couldn’t answer that question, that’s when the law started to change. There are some things about our world that you know that older people don’t know,” he continued.
“Why would that be? Well in a period of rapid change, the old assumptions sometimes just don’t work anymore because they’re out of date,” Gore said.
And the only reason “the old assumptions” are “out of date” these days is because demonic rat bastard moralizing panderers like Al Gore have become the teachers of this terminal generation. And the same people who constantly congratulate themselves on just how wonderful they are don’t even deserve to be called “pathetic.”
The very fact that Bill Maher is still on the air proves that he has a sizable audience of liberals (because no one else is morally sick enough to watch him). And the fact that many liberals actually agree with this rat bastard pretty much proves just how truly dangerous these people are.
Interesting article from David Horowitz’s News Real Blog:
In the face of opposition to their radical agenda, President Obama and his administration have made statements to the effect of, We haven’t done a good enough job explaining our policies to the American people. These comments reflect a profound arrogance which assumes that the only reason a rational person would oppose a leftist idea is because they do not understand it. Egregious as that attitude may be, it at least supposes that Americans are capable of understanding proposals which are properly explained.
“America is like a dog,” Maher began, explaining “It cannot understand actual words. It understands inflection, it understands fear, but you can’t actually explain issues to a dog.”
Liberal hero/bogeyman Michael Moore gamely jumped to America’s defense, but oddly continued the dog metaphor anyway. “When a dog has been abused, it gets all insane, and does insane things,” Moore said. See? We’re not just dogs, we’re insane dogs.
This crude metaphor shouldn’t surprise anyone, as it accurately reflects Maher’s regard for his fellow Americans. During the debate leading up to the passage of Obamacare, Maher suggested that the president act as a dictator and impose his will upon we dull-witted masses.
… I don’t think [Obama] has been tough enough…
They’re talking about 60 votes – Forget this stuff. You can’t get Americans to agree on anything… 60% of people don’t believe in evolution in this country.
[Obama] just needs to drag them to it. Like I just said [the American people] are stupid. Just drag them to this, get healthcare done, you know, with or without them. Make the gang of six an offer they can’t refuse. This Max Baucus guy, he needs to wake up tomorrow with an intern’s head in his bed… I’m serious.
Maher is serious. The only reason Moore comes off more reserved is because he has a slightly better sense of how openly these opinions should be discussed.
This is the philosophy of tyranny. It is apropos that Maher cite belief in evolution as a point of contention among Americans, because his tyrannical prescription is a natural outgrowth of the evolutionary paradigm. When you believe that humanity is emergent, a product of an ongoing process of natural selection, it follows that some humans are further developed than others. It is then incumbent upon those fittest, the Mahers and Moores and Obamas of the world, to drag we lessers kicking and screaming into the future.
This elitist paradigm is fundamentally no different than that which inspired eugenics and the pseudo-science undergirding Nazi claims of racial superiority. The only difference is, instead of a racial test, Maher and his cohort apply an ideological test to determine who has value and who does not. If you disagree with the radical leftist agenda, it is evidence of your incompetence to self-govern, and you ought not have the same rights as those who think correctly.
It reminds me of an appalling quote from Josef Goebbels, which was cast from the same evolutionary mold:
Certainly the Jew is also a Man, but the Flea is also an Animal.
Goebbels implication was that one’s conscience ought to be no more affected by their treatment of a Jew than their treatment of a flea. It’s called dehumanization, and it sounds an awful lot like what Maher and Moore are engaged in here. The question is, if they regard us as dogs, how long until they consider putting us down?
There are people in the middle who just can’t understand all the anger.
Me, I can’t understand why the fence-straddlers bleat like sheep when wolves are surrounding them and it’s long past time to finally choose a side.
Now, some might be thinking, “This guy pulls a quote from Bill Maher and then starts talking about Joseph Goebbels and the Nazis? Isn’t that kind of crazy?” Let me try to explain why it is dead serious.
If you like Maher’s America, if you are a liberal, you are a cultural elitist who actively despises the American people and view them as stupid and sick dogs who should be euthanized as necessary. The liberal worldview is everything; human beings are secondary at best. Abortion and the 52 million babies destroyed like viruses just in this country alone is only one proof among many of that fact.
Stephen Jay Gould phrased the worldview bluntly, stating that “there’s no reason humans are ‘higher’ life forms than bacteria or insects” [in Biography Magazine, March 1998, page 110]. And leftist thought long ago took that secular humanistic “science” and ran right down the field with it.
Human life is gnat-like for godless liberals. Because there’s no God in their worldview to give human beings ultimate meaning or transcendent value or any kind of dignity whatsoever. If you need to purge a few million, or a few tens of millions, what’s the big deal? We’re like dogs, after all (if not bacteria or insects). Nothing more. That was the thinking of fellow socialists Stalin, Mao and Hitler. The left has already thought the same thoughts Bill Maher has thought before. And they have already acted upon their thinking.
Annie Dillard underscored this evil heart of the far left in her article, “The Wreck of Time,” in Harper’s from January 1998:
Was it wisdom Mao Tse-Tong attained when – like Ted Bundy – the awakened to the long view? “The atom bomb is nothing to be afraid of,” Mao told Nehru, “China has many people. . . . The deaths of ten or twenty million people is nothing to be afraid of.” A witness said Nehru showed shock. Later, speaking in Moscow, Mao displayed yet more generosity: he boasted that he was willing to lose 300 million people, half of China’s population. Does Mao’s reckoning shock me really? If sanctioning the death of strangers could save my daughter’s life, would I do it? Probably. How many others’ lives would I be willing to sacrifice? Three? Three hundred million?
An English journalist, observing the Sisters of Charity in Calcutta, reasoned: “Either life is always and in all circumstances sacred, or intrinsically of no account; it is inconceivable that it should be in some cases the one, and in some the other.”
And well over a hundred million human beings perished miserably because of the same depraved mindset of the left that we are beginning to see once again. We’re up to half that total with our abortion mills, and as D. James Kennedy once put it, “Watch out, grandpa! Because the generation that survived abortion will one day come after you!”
“We have to help bring this government down, we have to help destroy this system and that requires increasing the alienation that working class and oppressed people feel. The way change is going to happen in this country is through the destruction of what we call the United States of America.”
Does that sound like a “pro-American” “Go America!” agenda?
Leftist speakers at a socialist convention in New York quoted leftist labor unions in calling for violent action:
“In times of growth historically the Democrats were the party that wanted to at least mildly redistribute a little bit of wealth. They were willing to finance a few social programs, make a few concessions in the interest of preserving social peace and social stability. But now when they don’t feel like that money is available for them to distribute, they don’t do anything. And I think that, you know, we all want to raise people’s consciousness but we also want to fight people, right? So I think it’s like both things. And, you know, we want to, we want to fight people who are on the — who have signed up on the other side of the barricade who are fighting us, we have to fight them. This is — we’re a militant organization when it comes to the fight against gay bigotry, the fights against racism and sexism. The labor movement has this old saying, and I don’t know if you want to take it — is if you can’t open their minds, open their heads.”
“Part of the reason that our politics seems so tough right now,” he recently told a group of Democratic donors in Massachusetts, “and facts and science and argument [do] not seem to be winning the day all the time is because we’re hard-wired not to always think clearly when we’re scared. And the country is scared.”
The country is scared. Frightened little doggies do insane, random things. And, frankly, what more can you really expect from biological meat puppets?
And what if we’re too “scared” to open our minds to the left’s ideas? What’s the next option for us poor, stupid dogs?
Here’s the big idea: the left thinks that you are basically dogs that need to be taken care of. You need a government animal control shelter to provide for you, feed you, keep you warm, protect you. You can’t take care of yourself, after all. If you actually think you can take care of yourself, and that people should take care of themselves, then you’re in the wrong movement if you’re a Democrat.
But the dogs that can’t be controlled in the shelter invariably go to the gas chamber. They always have, and they always will. Because in the end they’re just dogs. They are under the government’s care; and they have become a burden to the government. And other things are more pressing and more important than dogs who don’t act the way they’re supposed to act, or dogs who are too old or too sick to be worth caring for. It’s the hard, cold side of the socialist worldview that ALWAYS emerges eventually.
We have a chance to stop the hell that liberals are trying to bring. We made a good start on November 2. We fired Nancy Pelosi. But that still leaves us with Harry Reid and Barack Obama. And the next election will either make us or it will surely break us.
Repeatedly, reports have shown that Obamacare will increase job loss. But what happens when those who are laid off are the workers meant to enable the health care law’s expanded access of care: namely, hospital employees?
According to one hospital, layoffs of workers have already begun as a result of the new law. Leaders of Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Indiana, said that although “the economy sparked this problem…the Obama Health Care Reform Act gave the hospital a one-two punch. While more people may soon get more health coverage, Obama’s plan cuts reimbursement dollars for hospitals at a time administrators say they could use them most.”
Obamacare includes $575 billion in cuts to Medicare to pay for a Medicaid expansion and a new entitlement program, which will provide generous subsidies for middle-class Americans to buy insurance. The cuts include slashes to hospitals’ reimbursement rates.
“[P]ayment update reductions will create a strong incentive for providers to maximize efficiency, [but] it is doubtful that many will be able to improve their own productivity to the degree achieved by the economy at large.”
“[P]roviders for whom Medicare constitutes a substantive portion of their business could find it difficult to remain profitable and, absent legislative intervention, might end their participation in the program (possibly jeopardizing access to care for beneficiaries). Simulations by the Office of the Actuary suggest that roughly 15 percent of Part A providers would become unprofitable within the 10-year projection period as a result of the productivity adjustments.”
Health providers dropping Medicare patients is the worst case scenario, especially in light of the flood of baby boomers set to retire and join Medicare. For now, many hospitals are preparing for revenue cuts as best they can. For Memorial Hospital, this means reducing the work force. “We expect that reality to get worse moving forward,”the health facility said.
Obamacare is projected to insure 34 million more Americans by 2019. But by 2015, the nation will face a physician shortage of 63,000 doctors across all specialties, up from 39,600 before the law passed. The last thing the U.S. health care system needs is “reform” that encourages a reduction in its work force.
You Democrats ought to be ashamed of yourselves. Just ashamed.
This godawful law is going to throw millions more people into the health system even as it forces tens of thousands of doctors to leave the system. And what do you think is going to happen???
Your evil president and your evil party are going to be responsible for not just deaths, but outright murders by medical neglect.
Under Barack MaoBama, everyone is equal under the law.
Except for unions, big businesses and politically-connected companies that are a lot MORE equal under the law.
If you are a union, or a business that can afford a high-power attorney, or politically-connected, the fact that ObamaCare reeks to high heavens isn’t that important. In fact, it’s even a GOOD thing for some companies: their competition will be driven out of business (and why should they care if their competitors’ employees lose their jobs?).
But if you’re NOT a union, or if you CAN’T hire a high-power law firm, or if you DON’T know Harry Reid or one of his ilk, you are just screwed.
That’s the message coming out of Washington.
As of Saturday, November 13, 111 unions and businesses had received waivers from ObamaCare.
That health care law that was supposed to be so great? It’s such a pile of fecal matter that even the unions who pushed for it are begging to be waived from it.
This didn’t make any headlines… The Obama Administration recently handed out 111 Obamacare waivers to special US companies… And, they’re hiding this from the American public. It takes 6 clicks to find out this information on the government’s health care website.
Unfortunately, if you’re a small business or you don’t have the right connections you can’t get a waiver for your company.
That’s the new reality under the Obama-Pelosi regime.
“The bottom line here is that they gave out waivers is an admission of guilt. Basically they’re saying, “You’re right. We screwed up.” That’s the bottom line here. They did not create a law that benefits all of us.”
Here is the list of the 111 special companies that were granted Obamacare waivers.
Here are the 111 “special” unions and companies who are better than everybody else. As the Gateway Pundit piece above points out, it takes 6 clicks to get to this information. And since the government can easily make it 12 clicks – or just delete it altogether – it seems prudent to have a record:

Just scrolling down the list, twenty of of these “waivers” have gone to unions. You know, the socialist “workers of the world unite!” organizations that pushed so hard for the ObamaCare death panels that they’ve decided only others should stand before.
Everything Obama and the Democrat Party told you about ObamaCare – EVERYTHING!!! – was a lie.
Obama assured us that the ObamaCare mandates that would force Americans to purchase insurance (or be punished) was not a tax. That was a lie.
WASHINGTON – AARP’s endorsement helped secure passage of President Barack Obama’s health care overhaul. Now the seniors’ lobby is telling its employees their insurance costs will rise partly as a result of the law.
In an e-mail to employees, AARP says health care premiums will increase by 8 percent to 13 percent next year because of rapidly rising medical costs.
And AARP adds that it’s changing copayments and deductibles to avoid a 40 percent tax on high-cost health plans that takes effect in 2018 under the law. Aerospace giant Boeing also has cited the tax in asking its workers to pay more. Shifting costs to employees lowers the value of a health care plan and acts like an escape hatch from the tax.
Krugman made his comments on ABC’s “This Week with Christiane Amanpour” during a roundtable discussion about the economy and the recent findings of the U.S. Debt Reduction Commission.
Here’s the key excerpt:
“Some years down the pike, we’re going to get the real solution, which is going to be a combination of death panels and sales taxes. It’s going to be that we’re actually going to take Medicare under control, and we’re going to have to get some additional revenue, probably from a VAT. But it’s not going to happen now.”
Let me tell you a few things on health care. Look, we have the only health care system in the world that is designed to avoid sick people. And that’s true and what I’m going to do is that I am going try to reorganize it to be more amenable to treating sick people but that means you, particularly you young people, particularly you young healthy people…you’re going to have to pay more.“Thank you. And by the way, we’re going to have to, if you’re very old, we’re not going to give you all that technology and all those drugs for the last couple of years of your life to keep you maybe going for another couple of months. It’s too expensive…so we’re going to let you die.”
Unless, of course, you’re a privileged, politically-connected liberal, in which case you can get a waiver from this “we’re going to let you die” verdict that everyone else will receive.
With that on the table, we could still say that there isn’t a death panel in ObamaCare. Because it turns out that there are 160 death panels:
The Democrats who rule this country now are the most evil politicians in American history. And this generation of Americans who voted for them in 2008 is the stupidest generation (or you can call it “the Dodo bird generation”).
You’d better get smart quick. Because these people will – now in their very own words – “let you die” with a “a combination of death panels and sales taxes.”
When the New York Times runs a front page story detailing that the entire world rejects a Democrat president’s economic “solutions,” you can pretty much know for certain that those “solutions” must truly, truly suck.
But that is exactly what happened yesterday:
Here’s the main page of The New York Times:
And here is the New York Times story, via the San Jose Mercury News:
SEOUL, South Korea — President Barack Obama’s hopes of emerging from his Asia trip with the twin victories of a free-trade agreement with South Korea and a unified approach to spurring global economic growth ran into resistance on all fronts Thursday, putting Obama at odds with his key allies and largest trading partners.
The most concrete trophy expected to emerge from the trip eluded his grasp: a long-delayed free trade agreement with South Korea, first negotiated by the Bush administration and then reopened by Obama, to have greater protections for U.S. workers.
And as officials frenetically tried to paper over differences among the Group of 20 members with a vaguely worded communique to be issued today, there was no way to avoid discussion of the fundamental differences of economic strategy. After five largely harmonious meetings in the past two years to deal with the most severe downturn since the Great Depression, major disputes broke out between Washington and China, Britain, Germany and Brazil.
Each rejected core elements of Obama’s strategy of stimulating growth before focusing on deficit reduction. Several major nations continued to accuse the Federal Reserve of deliberately devaluing the dollar last week in an effort to put the costs of America’s competitive troubles on trading partners, rather than taking politically tough measures to rein in spending at home.
The result was that Obama repeatedly found himself on the defensive. He and the South Korean president, Lee Myung-bak, had vowed to complete the trade pact by the time they met here; while Obama insisted that it would be resolved “in a matter of weeks,” without the pressure of a summit meeting, it was unclear how the hurdles on nontariff barriers to U.S. cars and beef would be resolved.
Obama’s meeting with China’s president, Hu Jintao, appeared to do little to break down Chinese resistance to accepting even nonbinding numerical targets for limiting China’s trade surplus. While Lael Brainard, the undersecretary of the Treasury for international affairs, said that the United States and China “have gotten to a good place” on rebalancing their trade, Chinese officials later archly reminded the Americans that as the issuers of the dollar, the main global reserve currency, they should consider the interests of the “global economy” as well as their own “national circumstances.”
Remember the European Union president saying the Obama stimulus was “a way to hell”? From the New York Times:
PARIS — The European Union’s crisis of leadership during the economic downturn was thrown into sharp relief on Wednesday, as the current president of the 27-nation bloc labeled President Obama’s emergency stimulus package “a way to hell” that will “undermine the stability of the global financial market.”
And the last two years proves he was right. And Obama very wrong.
WASHINGTON – From tiny embryonic cells to the large-scale physics of global warming, President Barack Obama urged researchers on Monday to follow science and not ideology as he abolished contentious Bush-era restraints on stem-cell research. “Our government has forced what I believe is a false choice between sound science and moral values,” Obama declared as he signed documents changing U.S. science policy and removing what some researchers have said were shackles on their work.
“It is about ensuring that scientific data is never distorted or concealed to serve a political agenda — and that we make scientific decisions based on facts, not ideology,” Obama said.
Researchers said the new president’s message was clear: Science, which once propelled men to the moon, again matters in American life.
Despite the propaganda trumpeting the benefits that embryonic stem cells will bring to thousands of people suffering from Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s, and other crippling injuries and maladies, not one cure using human embryonic stem cells has been found during the more than 20 years scientists have been studying them.
On the other hand, hundreds of cures have already been effected using adult stem cells, and each week brings news of more cures or ameliorizations of injuries and diseases. Do No Harm: The Coalition of Americans for Research Ethics publishes frequent studies showing the failure of embryonic stem cell research to offer any cures — despite the vast sums poured into such research and the claims made by “leading” researchers — and the successes of adult stem cell research and research using morally obtained pluripotential stem cells.
Supporters of the California Stem Cell Research and Cures Initiative, passed in 2004, held out hopes of imminent medical miracles that were being held up only by President Bush’s policy of not allowing federal funding of embryonic stem cell research (ESCR) beyond existing stem cell lines and which involved the destruction of embryos created for that purpose.
Five years later, ESCR has failed to deliver and backers of Prop 71 are admitting failure. The California Institute for Regenerative Medicine, the state agency created to, as some have put it, restore science to its rightful place, is diverting funds from ESCR to research that has produced actual therapies and treatments: adult stem cell research. It not only has treated real people with real results; it also does not come with the moral baggage ESCR does.
Bottom line. It was Great Satan OBAMA who was following ideology and not science. Not Bush. Bush was right; it was OBAMA who was pursuing ideology and calling it “science.”
As for global warming, let me just say “Climategate.” In a fitting capstone of years of fraud, we have in the very words of climate “scientists” admissions of falsifying data, of deliberately concealing evidence and destroying data, of knowingly using “tricks” to manipulate data and produce deceptive results, and of engaging in a corrupt pattern of destroying scientific opponents by any means necessary.
Again, it was OBAMA who was pursuing ideology rather than science.
Another example of Obama totally perverting science and academia has been his incredible deception over his stimulus package. Obama literally created an entire new “understanding” of economics by claiming that his stimulus had “created or saved” jobs. But:
Harvard economics Professor Gregory Mankiw said, “there is no way to measure how many jobs are saved.” Allan Meltzer, professor of political economy at Carnegie Mellon University said “One can search economic textbooks forever without finding a concept called ‘jobs saved.’ It doesn’t exist for good reason: how can anyone know that his or her job has been saved?”
And the massive lies Obama told to impose his ObamaCare on the American people have simply been stunning.
The facts don’t matter. Truth doesn’t matter. Reality doesn’t matter. Only naked partisan ideology matters.
But the case against Obama as a massive hypocrite, liar and fraud is more slam dunk than that. Obama has been caught clearly doing the very thing he so pompously demonized his predecessor for doing:
Govt’s handling of science on oil spill questioned The oil spill that damaged the Gulf of Mexico’s reefs and wetlands is also threatening to stain the Obama administration’s reputation for relying on science to guide policy.

WASHINGTON — The oil spill that damaged the Gulf of Mexico’s reefs and wetlands is also threatening to stain the Obama administration’s reputation for relying on science to guide policy.
Academics, environmentalists and federal investigators have accused the administration since the April spill of downplaying scientific findings, misrepresenting data and most recently misconstruing the opinions of experts it solicited.
[…]
The latest complaint from scientists comes in a report by the Interior Department’s inspector general, which concluded that the White House edited a drilling safety report in a way that made it falsely appear that scientists and experts supported the administration’s six-month ban on new deep-water drilling. The AP obtained the report early Wednesday.
The inspector general said the editing changes by the White House resulted “in the implication that the moratorium recommendation had been peer reviewed.” But it hadn’t been. Outside scientists were asked only to review new safety measures for offshore drilling.
“There are really only a few people that know what they are talking about” on offshore drilling,” said Ford Brett, managing director of Petroskills, a Tulsa, Okla.-based petroleum training organization. “The people who make this policy do not … so don’t misrepresent me and use me for cover,” said Brett, one of seven experts who reviewed the report.
[…]
Last month, staff for the presidential oil spill commission said that the White House’s budget office delayed publication of a scientific report that forecast how much oil could reach the Gulf’s shores. Federal scientists initially used a volume of oil that did not account for the administration’s various cleanup efforts, but the government ultimately cited smaller amounts of oil.
The same report said that President Barack Obama’s energy adviser, Carol Browner, mischaracterized on national TV a government analysis about where the oil went, saying it showed most of the oil was “gone.” The report said it could still be there. It also said that Browner and the head of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Jane Lubchenco, contributed to the public’s perception the report was more exact than it was by emphasizing peer review.
[…]
All seven experts asked to review the Interior Department’s work expressed concern about the change made by the White House, saying that it differed in important ways from the draft they had approved.
“We believe the report does not justify the moratorium as written, and that the moratorium as changed will not contribute measurably to increased safety and will have immediate and long-term economic effects,” the scientists wrote earlier this year to Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal and Sens. Mary Landrieu and David Vitter. “The secretary should be free to recommend whatever he thinks is correct, but he should not be free to use our names to justify his political decisions.”
Those complaints were similar to those of other scientists.
“Their estimates always seemed to be biased to the best case,” said Joseph Montoya, a biology professor at Georgia Tech. “A number of scientists have experienced a strong push back.”
The inspector general’s report said the administration did not violate federal rules because the executive summary did not say the experts approved of the moratorium and because the department publicly clarified what the experts said and had offered a formal apology.

Associated Press writers Seth Borenstein in Washington and Harry R. Weber in New Orleans contributed reporting.
If Barack Obama were to shoot someone dead on live television before an audience of hundreds of millions, there would be armies of “journalists” who would desperately try to change the story, change the facts, or somehow argue “Bush did it.”
Fortunately, a majority of the American people are finally coming to realize what a disgrace to the truth Barack Obama truly is.
