Remark Of The Night In South Carolina GOP Debate: Barack Obama IS A Socialist

At some point during the GOP debate in South Carolina, Rick Santorum made the comment that Barack Obama was a socialist.

In his after-debate panel that appeared on the Sean Hannity Program, Frank Luntz listened to a woman who pointed that out and said she believed it was true, and then asked the panelists (after saying, “I’m going to get in trouble for this”), “WHY is Barack Obama a socialist?”

One old man immediately said, “Ask Joe the Plumber.”

I can only tell you what I would have said, given the pithy answer that was demanded (although that old man’s was arguably even better):

“Karl Marx expressed the essence of his Marxist communism as, ‘From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.’  Wouldn’t it be wonderful if the mainstream media demanded that Barack Obama refute that statement, and explained how his policies were (somehow) the opposite of that?”

And so, yes, that old man on Frank Luntz’s panel nailed it: when Barack Obama said

“My attitude is that if the economy’s good for folks from the bottom up, it’s gonna be good for everybody. I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.”

– There is no question whatsoever that Obama was patiently explaining that, yes, he is without any question whatsoever, a socialist.

For those who would try to argue that statement by Karl Marz is NOT the essence of Marxism, allow me to reproduce Karl Marx’s statement in context:

In a higher phase of communist society, after the enslaving subordination of the individual to the division of labor, and therewith also the antithesis between mental and physical labor, has vanished; after labor has become not only a means of life but life’s prime want; after the productive forces have also increased with the all-around development of the individual, and all the springs of co-operative wealth flow more abundantly—only then can the narrow horizon of bourgeois right be crossed in its entirety and society inscribe on its banners: From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs!

Which is to say that it is not merely the essence of communism, but in fact it was the destination that Karl Marx was striving to attain to in his “higher phase of communist society.”

So, given that liberal Democrats affirm this same exact ideal – which was the ultimate ideal of Marx’s “higher phase of communist society” – just how precisely are they not Marxists?

And yet whenever a conservative makes this accurate accusation, all we ever get from the media is a poo-pooing; as though pointing out and declaring the truth is an extreme thing to do.

Refreshing to hear the TRUTH for a change.

The quote you have from Marx “after the ENSLAVING SUBORDINATION OF THE INDIVIDUAL…..”
This short phrase SHOULD SCARE every freedom loving INDIVIDUAL to death!

    HL,

Technically, Marx is promising an END of “the ENSLAVING SUBORDINATION OF THE INDIVIDUAL.” If this were mere literature, I’d say you had misread Marx.

But in a very real sense – which is what ultimately matters – you are right on to hit on that phrase; because in reality and in actual practice, communism produces the exact OPPOSITE of what it falsely claimed. Which means that more than any other ideology, communism in FACT enslaves the individual and subordinates them to an all-powerful state.

And it’s the same thing in American liberalism; they have made all kinds of promises and claims that are entirely based on lies. We can look at the two groups that have received the most “government social services asistance” (i.e. welfare): the American Indian and the African-American. And these two groups have been more destroyed – their culture more poisoned, with a higher percentage BY FAR of their members being totally dysfunctional, helpless and utterly depraved – than any people group BAR NONE.

There is a toxic, demonic element to these ideologies. And I say “demonic” because buying into this kind of lie because they are under a demonic influence to think and believe and feel as they do even though it is such a lie.

    I think of 2 Corinthians 4:4:

“The god of this world has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. As a result, they don’t see the light of the Good News about Christ’s glory. It is Christ who is God’s image.”

And I put that together with what G.K. Chesterton rightly said –

“When people stop believing in God, they don’t believe in nothing— they believe in anything.”

    – and I understand what we are truly up against: a demonic-inspired determination to believe lies, rather than to accept the truth.

Another great moment was Herman Cain setting the record straight regarding the fair tax.

  4. Robbie Says:

fyi michael was biden the first to say it was seals who were on the bin laden mission? meaning this a#$hat – and by that i mean joe biden has his head firmly placed up his own rear end – once again mispoke – said something that should remained secret.

  5. Michael Eden Says:

I don’t know if the fact that SEALs got bin Laden should have remained secret; but I would have loved it had the entire mission remained secret long enough for them to bring back the intelligence obtained and maybe get a couple more operations in before the whole planet knew about it.

It might have been impossible anyway, but I would have preferred it had Obama not announced it to the world almost immediately after the mission.

So I certainly agree that for the political gain of the mission, team Obama-Biden seems to have proved willing to screw the intelligence analysts. Again.

  6. Michael Eden Says:

I’ve heard Herman Cain a few times on Cavuto’s program and liked him quite a bit. I’m not one bit surprised that he won the night.

The fair tax would go a long way to restoring America’s future and avoid our becoming a banana republic. If we can make it happen.
