Apparently Obama Heard ‘Plan’ And Thought They Were Talking About A ‘Tan’ And Decided He Didn’t Need One

August 31, 2011

MONTHS later, the question remains the same: “WHERE’S YOUR DAMN PLAN, OBAMA?”

Let me go back and refresh the record:

Obama has set forth no plan to deal with anything whatsoever regarding the budget/debt ceiling crisis:

SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE JOHN BOEHNER (R-OH): Where’s the president’s plan? When is he going to lay his cards on the table?

Senator Marco Rubio understood this when he utterly destroyed Bob Schieffer on CBS’ “Face The Nation” program after Schieffer – in his masquerade as a “neutral reporter” cited the Obama talking point as the “objective” view:

OK, so where’s the plan? Where’s the president’s plan? I’ve never seen a piece of paper with the president’s name on it that’s his plan to solve this crisis. I’ve seen press conferences. I’ve seen lectures that he’s given to the Congress. I’ve seen these press avails where the camera comes in and takes a bunch of pictures. I haven’t seen a plan. Where is the president’s plan?

And President Obama’s failure to lead is undermining negotiations. From ABC’s “This Week”:

MS. AMANPOUR: You also heard what Jack Lew said if there was part of a big deal, it would involve entitlements –

SEN. KYL: But we have no idea what he’s talking about. That’s the problem. Republicans are not willing to make a deal based upon some vague commitment that, sometime in the future, the president might be willing to look at something that he won’t identify.

The following exhange in the White House Press Corps is simply utterly astounding:

ED HENRY, FOX NEWS CHIEF WHITE HOUSE CORRESPONDENT: …If you basically have this Boehner plan that you say can’t get through the Senate and you’ve got a Reid plan that the Republicans don’t think you can get through the Senate or the House and you’re saying we want a compromise, what was the point of giving a prime-time address to the nation without an Obama plan and say neither of these other plans can work? Where’s his plan?

(CROSSTALK)

JAY CARNEY, WHITE HOUSE PRESS SECRETARY: I understand the idea that there is not an Obama plan is like point…

HENRY: But there’s not one on paper.

CARNEY: …point No. 1 on the talking points issued by the Republican Party. I get it.

(CROSSTALK)

HENRY: No, no, no. That’s not a talking point. Show us the plan. It’s not a talking point. That’s unfair. Where’s the plan?

CROSSTALK)

CARNEY: First of all, the president put forward in detail his principles at George Washington University…

(CROSSTALK)

HENRY: Principles. Right. That’s not a plan.

CARNEY: …quite a lot of detail. The president stood before you, I can’t remember if you were here Friday night, some of you weren’t because you cut out early, but a lot of you were (GROANS FROM THE PRESS) and he put forward in detail with numbers what he’s willing to do. He then referred from the podium to the fact that White House officials would be briefing in detail.

It continued on with other reporters and it didn’t get any better for Carney or for Obama:

Today, under intense pressure to produce the President’s debt limit plan, the White House asked, “Do you need something printed for you?” House Republicans have put forth multiple plans (posted online and yes, available in print) to avoid default and get our fiscal house in order by cutting spending and implementing serious budget reforms.

We are seven days out from August 2nd and the Administration has yet to release a plan.

NOTE:

Chuck Todd: Why not release the last offer that Boehner made you? You said if you don’t want to release your own plan, release that one. If that’s the last deal he made and you are willing to go back with a few minor tweaks release it.

Jay Carney: We have shown a lot of leg on what we were proposing.

Chuck Todd: Where?

Jay Carney: From the podium, right here.

(Laughter)

Todd: Why not just release that plan?

Carney: You need something printed for you? You can’t write it down? There is ample detail.

Jake Tapper: That’s not a plan. It was details of a plan, but it wasn’t a plan in the same way we are getting a plan on the House side or on the Senate side.

Chuck Todd: We don’t know what the Medicare thing is, we don’t know what the Social Security part of this is …
….

Chuck Todd: Why not put it out there? You guys went before the American people last night and said call your Members of Congress we want a compromise. Well you had a plan you were making the case for, that sounded like the compromise. Release it to the public.

Watch the Full Exchange Here

All Obama has done is give demagogic speeches and press conferences. YOU CAN’T RUN THE COUNTRY ON A DAMN SPEECH. AND YOU CERTAINLY CAN’T RUN IT FROM THE PODIUM OF A PRESS SECRETARY DURING A DAMN PRESS CONFERENCE!!! SOMEBODY HAS TO ACTUALLY LEAD OR THIS COUNTRY IS DOOMED!!!

Republicans have been demanding Obama release a plan since forever ago.

It is now 855 days since Democrats bothered to pass any kind of a budget.  At all.

Versus Republicans, who have passed the Ryan budget plan and Cut, Cap and Balance.

Obama submitted a budget in May that was frankly so asinine that it was rejected 97-0 IN THE DEMOCRAT-CONTROLLED SENATE.

The Christian Post put it this way:

Before his vacation at Martha’s Vineyard this month, Obama was on a three-state bus tour through rural parts of the Midwest. On that tour, he said he would present a plan to create jobs sometime in September.

“If you have a jobs plan, put it out,” former Democratic Tennessee congressman Harold Ford Jr., said on an Aug. 21 showing of NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

Obama, apparently, did not have a completed plan at the time, but simply talked of having a jobs proposal in place soon. Reports are that White House administration officials are currently “scrambling” to come up with a plan by next week, according to The Washington Post.

That Washington Post article, dated August 29, begins:

“The White House scrambled Monday to finalize a new jobs initiative as President Obama nominated the last member of the economic team that will be charged with carrying it out.”

So, nope, it’s nearly three years into the Obama presidency, and they are still desperately pumping sunshine trying to “scramble” together some kind of a plan.

And in all likelihood, it won’t be a plan that has any chance of passing the bipartisan Congress, but rather a plan to further demagogue Republicans, as Obama postures by saying, “I had a plan that would have solved everything, but those terrorist Republicans held America hostage.”  The American people need jobs, but Obama needs to have some way to blame Republicans for his three years of failed economic policies.  And Obama’s job is more important than the tens of millions of Americans lack of jobs.

The Republicans ought to respond to this frankly ridiculous attack by saying, “If we had passed Obama’s plan, space aliens would have invaded and enslaved the human race.  And we’ve got every bit as much evidence to back up our hypothetical counterfactual scenario as Obama has for his.”  The sad fact of the matter is that Republicans can govern, but they can’t attack well; and Democrats can’t govern at all, but boy they sure can demagogue.

AL Gore: Raising Questions About Global Warming Is Tantamount To Racism

August 30, 2011

Watch the video:

An example of what Al Gore said:

“There came a time when people said, ‘Hey man, why do you talk that way? That’s wrong, I don’t go for that so don’t talk that way around me. I just don’t believe that.’ That happened in millions of conversations, and slowly the conversation was won.  And we still have racism, God knows, but it’s so different now and so much better. And we have to win the conversation on climate.”

Al Gore’s direct comparison with global warming and civil rights ushers in all of the craziest aspects to the whole global warming insanity.  Are we violating earth’s “civil rights”???  Is planet earth a person whom we’re discriminating against?  Should we be invoking demonic Mayan goddesses to help us redistribute the world’s wealth in our Marxist cause the way the “highly respected” United Nations IPCC does?

Apparently so. It’s all part of “science” these days.

It also is truly amazing just how fascist these fascist leftist are.

Almost-President John Kerry recently came out and said:

And I have to tell you, I say this to you politely. The media in America has a bigger responsibility than it’s exercising today. The media has got to begin to not give equal time or equal balance to an absolutely absurd notion just because somebody asserts it or simply because somebody says something which everybody knows is not factual.

It doesn’t deserve the same credit as a legitimate idea about what you do. And the problem is everything is put into this tit-for-tat equal battle and America is losing any sense of what’s real, of who’s accountable, of who is not accountable, of who’s real, who isn’t, who’s serious, who isn’t?

Liberals have degenerated to the point that to even allow a debate is intolerable.  They must be allowed to have the only microphone.

How can people not understand that this is naked, naked fascism?

Now you’ve got Al Gore claiming that to even question why liberals were forced to use a new term to describe “global warming” because such claims as –

Children just aren’t going to know what snow is.”

which turned out to be such a tremendous load of baloney is tantamount to racism.

Climate Change “scientists”admitted that they purged their raw data so only their altered models were available.  They have literally altered their argument  to get through the winter before switching back to their warming, warming, warming argument for the summer.

In their own words they said things like, ““I’ve just completed Mike’s Nature trick of adding in the real temps to each series for the last 20 years (ie from 1981 onwards) and from 1961 for Keith’s to hide the decline.”  But then you find out that the “trick” of “hiding the decline” was even more insidious than merely camouflaging the fact that it’s not getting warmer, but rather the very heart of their case in terms of proxy reconstructions of data.

And then there is the fact that the CO2 they demand the conversation remain rigidly fixated upon only accounts for one-tenth of one percent of the total global warming gasses.

Another blatant lie on the part of Al Gore is to compare “climate change deniers” to Bull Connor.  This is a leftwing talking point that is so self-refuting it is positively unreal: BULL CONNOR WAS A DEMOCRAT!!!  Just how far did truth have to miserably die in the collective mind of the left that they now think it is okay to say that Republicans are so evil they are DEMOCRATS?!?!

At the very heart of science is the ability to raise questions.  Which is to say liberals don’t care about “science”; they despise science!  What liberals like Al Gore want is pseudo-science that masquerades as science and enables the left to dictate their agenda the way that the Nazis dictated their agenda.  And in the same way, liberals don’t care about free speech; they despise free speech!  What liberals like John Kerry want is “pseudo-free-speech” that masquerades as fre speech and enables the left to dictate their agenda the way that the Nazis dictated their agenda.

Colleges And Universities Forcing Kids To Go Through Marxsit/Postmodernist ‘Tunnels Of Oppression’

August 30, 2011

It never ceases to amaze me how truly stupid and how profoundly intolerant the self-appointed brilliant and open-minded folk in our universities turn out to be:

Brainwashing U
Colleges’ sick ‘orientation’ game

Parents sending children off to college for the first time, beware: Their “freshman orientation” is all too likely to include being herded through a “tunnel of oppression” to learn about the evils of “white privilege,” being lectured about how they’re part of a “rape culture” or being forced to discuss their sexual identities with complete strangers — before they even meet their first professor.

That’s right: For all we hear about faculty ideological or political bias, campus administrators are often worse when it comes to brainwashing students.

What many university administrators would like to do: The “ideal” freshman orientation might resemble this experiment from the film “Final Destination 5.”

Warner Bros.
What many university administrators would like to do: The “ideal” freshman orientation might resemble this experiment from the film “Final Destination 5.”

Consider the shocking account from a student trained to be a dorm supervisor — a resident adviser, or RA — at DePauw University in Indiana. One of her first duties last fall was to lead her new students through a house decorated as a “Tunnel of Oppression,” where supposedly “realistic” demonstrations in each room taught lessons such as how religious parents hate their gay children, Muslims would find no friends on a predominantly non-Muslim campus and overweight women suffer from eating disorders.

Indeed, in her training to become an RA, “We were told that ‘human’ was not a suitable identity, but that instead we were first ‘black,’ ‘white,’ or ‘Asian’; ‘male’ or ‘female’; … ‘heterosexual’ or ‘queer.’ We were forced to act like bigots and spout off stereotypes while being told that that was what we were really thinking deep down.” Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. must be spinning in his grave.

Unsurprisingly, she turned down the school’s offer to be an RA this year — she’d rather find another job.

DePauw is no rare case. At least 96 colleges across the country have run similar “tunnel of oppression” programs in the last few years.

Perhaps the most infamous re-education program was the University of Delaware’s: Every single student in the dorms endured an Orwellian “treatment” (the school’s word) program to expunge supposedly incorrect beliefs. Delaware demanded that its RAs ask intrusive questions about students’ sexual identity and write reports about their responses while lecturing students on environmentalism and telling them that “citizenship” required them to recognize that “systemic oppression exists in our society.”

The “treatment” was shut down a few years back after a faculty whistle-blower turned materials for the program over to the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (where I now work), which publicized the outrage. But a series of “Residential Curriculum Institutes” started by those in charge of the Delaware program continues to this day.

And the same spirit infects much of American higher education. In New York, Hamilton College last fall ordered all first-year men to attend a “She Fears You” presentation, designed to get them to acknowledge their personal complicity (after just a month on campus!) in Hamilton’s “rape culture” and to change their “rape-supportive” beliefs and attitudes. Not coincidentally, the program’s presenter is a speaker at this year’s Residential Curriculum Institute.

Did Hamilton warn incoming female students of the campus “rape culture” before it took their tuition? I doubt it. But publicity did force administrators to make the seminar optional — just minutes before it started.

How many other schools host similar events that no one off campus ever hears about?

How to fight this indoctrination? First, warn your children or grandchildren about it — and remind them that every public college (and most private colleges) must leave students free to make up their own minds on such controversial ideas as “all white people are racists” or “all men are responsible for rape.” College is supposed to teach you how to think, not what you must think.

And, for the many students who do go through a creepy orientation program, please save any documents you’re given on the program and tell us about it at FIRE (thefire.org).

Justice Louis Brandeis famously opined that sunlight is the best disinfectant. If students go into orientation with their eyes open and a willingness to alert outsiders, we can hope to purge the infection of thought reform on America’s campuses.

Robert Shibley is senior vice president at the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education..

On FreeRepublic (where I came across this new outrage in progressive indoctrination), the first commenter had this to say:

At my son’s orientation they put on a skit about ‘tolerance’. We must be tolerant of the gay students, tolerant of the slutty girls that drink too much, tolerant of the party hounds, tolerant of the kids that don’t have a lot of money. In the skit, when the Christian kid asked his friends if anyone wanted to do Bible study with him, he was promptly lectured about how he needed to be tolerant that not everyone is a Christian. There was also another skit about sex on campus. The overall message was..have sex with whoever you want as quickly and whenever you want, just make sure you wear protection and get tested for STD’s. I wanted to yank him out of there, but 12 years of Christian education and my warning him about what college would be like in the land of liberals has prepared him.

My personal view from my own experience departs from this: young people – and this very definitely includes college-age young people – desperately want to fit in and belong.  And to throw a kid into that toxic environment is tantamount to throwing a kid into a pool full of piranhas – even if you taught him or her how to swim away from the piranhas.

Some quotes I’ve accumulated:

  • Richard Dawkins says, “How much do we regard children as being the property of their parents? It’s one thing to say people should be free to believe whatever they like, but should they be free to impose their beliefs on their children? Is there something to be said for society stepping in? What about bringing up children to believe in manifest falsehoods? Isn’t it always a form of child abuse to label children as possessors of beliefs that they are too young to have thought about” even as he demands the right to do just that with his atheistic evolution.
  • Richard Rorty argued that secular teachers ought to “arrange things so that students who enter as bigoted, homophobic religious fundamentalists will leave college with views more like our own.” And he claimed that students are fortunate to find themselves “under the benevolent Herrshaft of people like me and to have escaped the frightening, vicious, dangerous parents.” He blatantly and arrogantly warned the parents who were literally paying to send their children to him, “we are going to go right on trying to discredit you before the eyes of your children, trying to strip your fundamentalist religious community of dignity, trying to make your views seem silly rather than discussable.”
  • Steven Weinberg wrote that “Anything that we scientists can do to weaken the hold of religion should be done and may in the end be our greatest contribution to civilization”?
  • Christopher Hitchens wrote that “All religions and all churches are equally demented in their belief in divine intervention, divine intercession, or even the existence of the divine in the first place”? He wrote that, “How can we ever know how many children had their psychological and physical lives irreparably maimed by the compulsory inculcation of faith? He charged that “religion has always hoped to practice upon the unformed and undefended minds of the young.”
  • Richard Dawkins wrote, “The great unmentionable evil at the center of our culture is monotheism”?
  • Scott Atran said, “Religious belief requires taking what is materially false to be true and what is materially true to be false” in a warped commitment to “factually impossible worlds.”
  • Richard Dawkins: “It is absolutely safe to say that if you meet somebody who claims not to believe in evolution, that person is ignorant, stupid or insane (or wicked, but I’d rather not consider that).”
  • Richard Lewontin says of education: “the problem is to get them to reject irrational and supernatural forces of the world, the demons that exist only in their imaginations, and to accept a social and intellectual apparatus, science, as the only begetter of truth.”
  • Carolyn Porco says, “Let’s teach our children from a very young age about the story of the universe and its incredible richness and beauty. It is already so much more glorious and awesome – and even comforting – than anything offered by any scripture or God concept I know.”
  • Woodrow Wilson – as president of Princeton and as an early progressive fascist – said, “Our problem is not merely to help the students to adjust themselves to world life… but to make them as unlike their fathers as we can.”

If parents rejected these schools and this system, it wouldn’t take too awfully long before universities understood that they either needed to (in Obama’s words) “fundamentally transform” or they would go the way of the Dodo bird.  Unfortunately, the vast majority of moms and dads spend far more time considering what kind of new car to buy and where to buy it than they do looking into the institutions that will shape their kids’ minds.

Left Continues To Document How Communist They Are In Wisconsin

August 29, 2011

Wausau, Wisconsin liberals decided to officially ban Republicans from the city’s Labor Day parade.  Because, after all, they’re “tolerant,” and open to all ideas and everything:

Organizers of Wausau’s Labor Day parade say Republican lawmakers aren’t welcome in this year’s event.

The Marathon County Central Labor Council sponsors the September 5th parade. The council includes about 30 local unions from the Marathon County area.

Council president Randy Radtke says they choose not to invite elected officials who have “openly attacked worker’s rights” or did nothing to intervene.

“When Scott Walker leveled his assault on workers and workers rights, the local Republicans followed in lock step with him,” Radtke said.

A step he says doesn’t follow the values of Labor Day.

“They wanna walk one way and talk the other way,” Radtke said. “The reason Labor Day was brought about was to recognize the achievements that the labor unions have accomplished over the years.”

State Senator Pam Galloway says unions are only a fraction of the labor represented in the parade and only part of what the parade is all about.

“I’m a worker, you’re a worker, we’re not represented by unions,” Galloway said. “It’s not appropriate for the citizens of the city of Wausau to be deprived of contact with their elected representatives. When I go to these parades, I try to talk with people before the parade actually starts.”

Other Republican leaders, including Rep. Sean Duffy’s office say they hoped political differences could be set aside for the family friendly event.

The Republican Party of Lincoln County says the tradition of a shared event will now end over “petty and short sighted anger toward legally elected officials.”

Republicans are hoping to work with Wausau city officials to resolve the conflict before Labor Day.

Kind of reminds me of the Nazis.  They claimed to be for “change” and for all voices to be heard.  Until they seized power.  And then suddenly they ruthlessly suppressed every other potential competing voice.

Finally, the Mayor of Wausau released a statement:

Wausau Mayor Jim Tipple Releases Statement:

August 29, 2011- The City is a co-sponsor of the Labor Day parade event, because we provided the payment for the insurance premium for the event, and we agreed to erect a stage and provide city services at no cost to the Marathon County Central Labor Council.

The banning of a political party from participation at any event co-sponsored by the City is against public policy and not in the best interest of all the citizens of the City of Wausau. And therefore, we encourage the event organizer to invite all interested parties, or reimburse the city for other costs.

This is why the left and the Democrat Party that is in the pocket of the left is anti-American.

This is why 4th of July parades – which focuses on celebrating the American heritage – tend to make people Republicans rather than Democrats.

This is why even relatively brief exposure to the American flag creates Republicans.

Meanwhile, the Democrat Party is on the verge of officially becoming a socialist party (which it already is in everything but name anyway).

Barack Obama Is A Failed Leader, And America Will Continue To Drift And Sink As Long As He Remains President

August 29, 2011

Barack Obama is a failure as a leader.  The only possible chance for America to suceed as a nation is if someone else is leading her.

I’ve said this before as the evidence has kept piling up, so I might as well quote myself quoting myself:

Earlier this year there was a story in which Hillary Clinton expressed her disgust of Obama’s complete failure of leadership. There was this great quote [that article appears here]:

“Obviously, she’s not happy with dealing with a president who can’t decide if today is Tuesday or Wednesday, who can’t make his mind up,” a Clinton insider told The Daily. “She’s exhausted, tired.”

Even HILLARY CLINTON said that Obama is a wretched and utterly failed leader who can’t make up his mind.

And I said in that article:

I remember several years ago watching a fascination PBS program on presidential leadership. The documentary’s poster-boy for pathetic presidential leadership was Jimmy Carter. Obviously the man was intelligent, but the experts on leadership said “intelligence” does not a leader make. Jimmy Carter was particularly faulted for not empowering his subordinates with enough power to do their jobs; he micromanaged and undermined through a tiny cadre of close advisors. And as a result the nation drifted like a ship without a rudder. That is clearly what is being described by Hillary Clinton now.

Obama clearly has an “inner circle” problem. Even DEMOCRATS acknowledge it.

The PBS program did not make mention of the fact that Jimmy Carter was (and clearly still is) a fool with a totally bogus worldview. A false worldview makes it impossible to act intelligently because, no matter how intelligent one is, one cannot possibly comprehend reality. And I would submit that Both Carter and Obama have tragically and truly flawed views of the world. Both of these men view the world through a set of theories that are simply totally false. And from their poor foundations, all of their intelligence goes into the fruitless process of endlessly rationalizing and justifying their erroneous worldview.

And I was so right about this fraud.

ALL of Obama’s financial inner circle apart from Timothy Geithner ARE GONE!!!  And this was the liberal “Dream Team” that had all the answers.

Obama constantly tells us that he will not rest until every American who wants to work can find a job:

And at some point you’d think he would either get tired of saying it or the American people would get tired of hearing it, given that it is a total load of crap every time he says it.

Steve Hayes pointed out the obvious because sadly he’s one of the few correspondents who will point out the obvious:

“But I guess it’s more the hypocrisy, the fact that he’s saying yesterday, as he did in the town hall, we’re not going to rest for a minute until we solve these economic problems. Well, except after my vacation. It just doesn’t make a lot of sense.”

Charles Krauthammer had previously pointed out:

But choosing an exclusive enclave like the Vineyard after spending three days on the road raving against the rich and the wealthy, and the millionaires and the billionaires, and the corporate jet owners who vacation exactly in the same place, and then spending 10 days in their company, speaks of a kind of dissonance or hypocrisy.

Hypocrites and people who simply are so out-of-touch and disconnected that they don’t live in the real world make for miserable leaders.  And a man who rails against the super-rich before hobnobbing with them, and a man who literally says he won’t rest until he solves the nation’s economic crisis THE DAY BEFORE GOING ON VACATION AT MARTHA’S VINEYARD is clearly a massively disconnected hypocrite.

We can see that failure of leadership everywhere we turn.  We can look at Afghanistan and the politically-motivated failure that we frankly should never have dived so deeply into.  We can see the profound personal hypocrisy of this failed president, who played games with and demonized his predecessor only to demand that no one treat him the way he treated Bush.  You can see how he dithered on key decisions and undermined the confidence of our vital allies.  You can look at the cavalier way he treated his generals and his most important decisions as commander in chief.

You can consider how Obama took the cheapest of cheap political shots at George Bush over the debt ceiling.  You can see how completely over-his-head the man was when the nation desperately needed leadership.  You could see Obama never having the courage to release his own plan – which seriously undermined negotiations.

And, of course, true to failed-leader form, Obama announces that he’ll come up with a plan later.  Right before he goes on vacation.

I was watching CNBC’s “Squawk on the Street” program Friday morning (August 19 at ( AM Eastern), and Obama’s complete absence of any kind of leadership whatsoever just boiled through.

David Faber and Melissa Lee were talking, and Faber said that never in his life had he seen such a complete absence of leadership out of Washington, and never had that failure of leadership in Washington had such a huge impact on Wall Street.

No one knows what to do.  Nobody can issue any kind of accurate predictive forecast because everything depends on Washington, and the leaders are on vacation rather than getting together and beginning the work of negotiation.

Obama announces he has a plan, but he refuses to release it in advance so that both his Democrat side and the Republican side can examine it and work on their own proposals so everyone can hit the ground running.  But in all likelihood Obama’s plan has nothing to do with solving problems anyway.  Obama has said:

In the clearest expression yet of his 2012 reelection strategy, President Obama said he would send a jobs package to Congress next month, ask lawmakers to pass it, and campaign against them if they refused.

Obama made the declaration in a town-hall-style meeting in Iowa on Monday night. He is facing criticism for not advancing a bold strategy to bolster job growth and his reelection prospects.

Which is to say Obama isn’t interested in solving the nation’s rapidly developing economic crisis; he’s interested in coming up with something that he can use to demagogue his oponents.

Here’s the news as Obama heads off on his vacation without bothering to release his “plan”:

Weak economic data fuel recession fears, contribute to sharp fall in financial markets
Economists see growing risk of global recession
By CHRISTOPHER S. RUGABER and DEREK KRAVITZ | Associated Press | Aug 18, 2011 6:03 PM CDT in Money

Discouraging economic data from around the globe have heightened fears that another recession is on the way.

Fresh evidence emerged Thursday that U.S. home sales and manufacturing are weakening. Signs also surfaced that European banks are increasingly burdened by the region’s debt crisis and sputtering economy.

The rising anxiety ignited a huge sell-off in stocks that led many investors to seek the safety of U.S. Treasurys.

Economists say the economic weakness and the stock markets’ wild swings have begun to feed on themselves. Persistent drops in stock prices erode consumer and business confidence. Individuals and companies typically then spend and invest less. And when they do, stock prices tend to fall further.

“A negative feedback loop … now appears to be in the making” in both the United States and Europe, Joachim Fels and Manoj Pradhan, economists at Morgan Stanley, said in a report Thursday. Both economies are “dangerously close to a recession. … It won’t take much in the form of additional shocks to tip the balance.”

The risk of a recession is now about one in three, according to Morgan Stanley and Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

Among the worrisome economic signs:

_ A survey by the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia shows that manufacturing in the mid-Atlantic region contracted in August by the most in more than two years. The steep drop, on top of a smaller decline in a New York Fed survey this week, means U.S. manufacturing probably contracted in August, economists said.

It would be the first decline since July 2009 _ a worrisome sign because manufacturing has been a key source of U.S. growth in the two years since economists say the Great Recession ended.

_ U.S. home sales fell in July for the third time in four months, the National Association of Realtors said. Sales dropped 3.5 percent to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 4.67 million homes. That’s far below the 6 million homes that economists say must be sold to sustain a healthy housing market.

Sales are lagging behind last year’s pace _ the weakest since 1997. “There seems to be a correlation between the stock market and home prices,” said Andrew Davidson, a New York-based mortgage industry consultant.

[Article continues]

If Obama actually has any kind of a damn plan, we needed to know it like three years ago.

This isn’t leadership; it’s demagoguery.

We need a commander in chief, and we’ve got a campaigner in chief.  And our campaigner in chief is going to campaign us right into the Great Depression.

The markets are rising and falling based on the same sort of empty hope and hype that saw Obama elected in the first place.  Right now, they are rising because of hopes that Europe somehow has Greece under control (for like the 12th time!) and because some investors believe Obama is going to announce some bailout for people who can’t afford their homes on the backs of people who didn’t overexpose themselves and paid their bills on time – and they think they can make a short term profit.  Which is to say there’s all kinds of “hopey changey” about a plan that Obama hasn’t announced yet and frankly should have announced three years ago if he actually had any ideas.

Brilliant Obama Geniuses More Stuck On Stupid Than Ever

August 28, 2011

Obama is giving Spanish-owned companies “shovel-ready jobs.  But they’re GREEN shovel-ready jobs.  So apparently it’s okay if those jobs only cost the American taxpayers – well, make that the Obama administration and his massive government bureaucracy borrowing from China so that American taxpayers have to pay principal plus interest – more than two million dollars per job.

Palin Thumps Harvard
August 22, 2011

If you drew a straight line between the Obama White House, Harvard and Martha’s Vineyard, you’d apparently find no real economists judging by the effluvia created through progressive economics in this country.

But would it be too much to ask if we could have a few people who could just add, subtract, multiply and divide? What exactly is an Ivy League degree worth if you can’t do lower mathematics?

I guess a lot less than Sarah Palin and a University of Idaho bachelor’s degree is worth.

Go Uof I Vandals!

In a quest for a few more “green” jobs that the administration can brag about, the Department of Energy recently announced that they have awarded a Spanish company, Abegnoa Bioenergy, $134 million in loan guarantees for an experimental biomass plant that will create- count ‘em- only 65 “permanent” jobs in Kansas.

Say what you want but Palin’s career shows she knows how to divide 65 jobs into $134 million. That skill apparently is beyond the ken of the Hallowed-Halls-of-Harvard-and-Princeton crowd. But it certainly seems like a valuable skill for a president to have.

$134,000,000 /65= $2,061,538.46 per job.

With these kinds of economies of scale, it would make more sense for the administration to make 65 people multimillionaires outright with that money. Just think: 65 more people they could tax at a higher rate.

What’s more fair than that? I mean besides not taxing everyone out of business. But, since that’s not an option….

Oh, I forgot. That makes too much sense for a liberal. They don’t like millionaires.

They only like Brazilian, Spanish and progressive billionaires.

“This project is part of the Administration’s commitment to expand our advanced domestic biofuels industry,” said Energy Secretary Chu according to BrightEnergy.org. “Investments like these will create jobs and decrease the nation’s dependency on oil by using a sustainable, home-grown transportation fuel that will help reduce greenhouse gas emissions.”

Not likely.

What it will do is help a company with $5.5 billion dollars cash in the bank, owned by Spanish millionaires and billionaires, keep $134 million in the bank. Abegnoa can then use that money in real projects that require, um, what’s technically known as a “return on investment” (ROI) to be successful. ROI is generally considered to be a good thing in the investment business if you’d like to prevent criminal proceedings. Or alternately, if you can’t produce return on investment, you can try for a government guarantee.

Obama likes to talk about investing in education, infrastructure, whatever, but if Obama were in charge of your 401k, at retirement you’d not only be broke, but you’d owe a few million. Oops, looks like Mr. Investment put some money into education and infrastructure development that wasn’t just quite as shovel ready as he thought.

That will go down so well at the retirement home when it’s time to take your medicine and eat your peas.

The problem is that Washington types have been making promises about biomass biofuels for decades now without any real progress- biomass is not shovel ready in other words, unlike the real energy projects proposed by outside Washington types, like- oh, I don’t know- Sarah Palin.

In short, biomass takes feedstock like corn leaves, wood pulp or municipal waste and turns it into a liquid fuel like ethanol or a gas, like hydrogen. It’s kind of a way of speeding up the millions-of-years process that made fossil fuels.

The clean energy crowd in DC has promised for two decades that biofuels will help break dependence on foreign sources of oil, but they always have to dial back their predictions, says Gigaom.com, a technology website and consultancy that produces green IT research.

“Originally in 2010,” writes Gigaom “the EPA estimated the industry could produce 100 million gallons, but basically it turned out to be zero. For 2011, five companies were estimated to be able to produce about 6 million cellulosic ethanol-equivalent gallons and it’s unclear if they are going to make that estimate.”

Oh, but wait, it’s worse.

“For 2012,” says Gigaom, “the EPA previously estimated that the cellulosic ethanol industry would have a capacity to be able to produce 500 million gallons. But in June the EPA quietly proposed to reduce that volume estimate to 3.5 million to 15.7 million.”

Sounds like the same government guys who estimate jobs creation for the Bureau of Labor Statistics moonlight at the EPA.

So much for the DOE’s investment in Abegnoa, a publicly-traded company with almost $9 billion dollars in sales and 26,128 employees not counting the 65 soon-to-be-hirelings in Kansas.

So much for 65 permanent jobs in Kansas. In the meantime 20,000 real energy jobs Palin created with the Nat Gas pipeline in Alaska are being held hostage to a presidential permit that Obama hasn’t signed in two-and-a-half years.

If the biomass plant made any sense at all economically the company would be able to get a loan on the strength of its balance sheet, rather than having to rely on guarantees from the Department of Energy. Because in the end, this plant won’t make money, won’t make the rent and certainly won’t make enough “green” fuel to power Kyle Orton’s Prius for a week.

Go Tebow!

Not only can’t they produce fuel from biomass economically, everyone seems to be unable to produce commercial quantities of fuel from biomass at any price.

Say what you want about the GOP’s desire to drill in ANWR and Palin’s support of it. But at least it’s bankable, as is the Palin’s Alaska-Canadian natural gas pipeline.

I know this much for sure: On day one any energy plan Palin puts forth will thump the plan the genius from Harvard has followed.

Let’s just call biomass what it is: the sub-prime market of Obama’s sub-prime “green” energy business.

And let’s call the taxpayers in this scheme what Wall Street and Washington want them to be: Shovel Ready.

Oh, and how about this little bit of brilliance from Team Obama:

GE’s Immelt Advises President on Jobs and Competiveness, Exports Jobs and Technology to China
Under Immelt, GE Cuts one-fifth of U.S. Work Force; Sells China Advanced Aerospace Tech NASA Originated

WASHINGTON – August 24 – Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) today called upon General Electric’s Chairman and CEO, Jeffrey Immelt to resign from his position as head of the President’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness. Kucinich’s statement came in response to news reports that, in exchange for short-term profit, GE is sending advanced technology to China that was originally created by NASA.

“If he does not resign, the White House should remove him,” Kucinich said.

As 14 million Americans struggle with unemployment, General Electric, under Mr. Immelt’s leadership, is exporting highly-sophisticated technology to the Chinese in order to book short-term profits for GE. GE strives mightily to avoid paying federal income taxes, but goes ‘all in’ on a deal to transfer U.S. government-subsidized technology to the Chinese. Jeffrey Immelt has a conflict of interest. He cannot ethically advise the President on how to create American jobs and promote American competiveness, while at the same time leading a company that is exporting American technology and, along with it, American jobs,” said Kucinich.

A report in Monday’s Washington Post described the transfer of a virtual reality display system for airplane cockpits that GE is transferring to the Chinese as part of its joint venture with a Chinese state-owned company. The display system GE is transferring was originally developed using Synthetic Vision technology created by NASA in partnership with private industry. NASA has committed millions of dollars to pursue development of synthetic vision systems.

Kucinich added, “American taxpayers subsidized the development of this advanced technology, but U.S. taxpayers’ investment will end up creating jobs in China. In the short term, GE is selling products to the Chinese, which will help GE’s bottom line. In the long term, the Chinese will end up manufacturing and selling products using the same technologies that were made in America.”

“The United States has long been the leader in aerospace development and manufacturing. We have the best-trained, most skilled workers which give American-made aerospace products a natural competitive advantage. How can Mr. Immelt be the head of the President’s ‘Jobs and Competiveness Council’ while undermining the United State’s advantage in aerospace?” asked Kucinich. “In light of these revelations, Mr. Immelt should save the President the embarrassment of asking him to step down and voluntarily resign.”

GE has aggressively sought to cut the percentage of its American profits paid to the I.R.S., paying just a third of the average taxes paid by other American multinational companies. In 2000, 54% of General Electric’s employees worked in the U.S. That number dropped to 46% in 2010. Since Mr. Immelt assumed office on September 7, 2001, GE has cut one-fifth of its U.S. work force while increasing overseas employment.

“Obviously he is more qualified to be head of ‘Jobs and Competitiveness’ for a country other than the United States,” Kucinich concluded.

That’s right.  The same Obama who constantly demagogues that corporations should “pay their fair share” blah blah blah has as his top guy a CEO who paid ZERO in income taxes as his company used every single crony capitalist loophole under the sun.

That kind of hypocrisy and stupidity counts as “genius” in Obama’s America.

Apparently, Obama isn’t up to the challenge of actually creating any shovel ready jobs in America (and see also here).  So he’s creating them in China with American money instead.

Hey, I’ve got an idea.  Obama could listen to Paul Krugman and lie to the American people about a space alien invasion to fearmonger them into even MORE useless Keynesian spending.  That would be just plain brilliant.  At least if you are an utterly clueless liberal who is utterly blind to reality.

Actual Video Evidence Of Democrats Sucking The Life Out of American Private Sector And U.S. Economy

August 27, 2011

Well, okay, I may have slightly exaggerated about the “actual video evidence” part.  It’s really more akin to a great analogy.

Liberals love analogies, because with an analogy, you don’t necessarily need things like “facts” that can otherwise get in the way of good rhetoric.  It used to be that Bush drove the economy into a ditch.  But now that it is obvious that the better analogy is that Obama drove the economy off a cliff, they don’t use that one so much any more.

But the NASA video of a black hole devouring a star that wandered into the black hole’s gravitational orbit really is a darn good analogy for what the Democrats’ big government approach has done to the private sector and the U.S. economy as a whole.  In both cases, the life gets sucked out of something that was doing fine on its own before it ran into a gigantic life-sucking black hole.

An excellent Real Clear Markets article written back in November of 2009 explained how the stimulus turned a bad economy into a godawful terrible economy by “sucking capital out of the private sector and destroying jobs.”  There’s your giant sucking black hole.

Here we are, $862 billion – actually $3.27 TRILLION – sucked out of our economy later, and where ARE we?

WE’RE IN A GIANT BLACK HOLE OF GOVERNMENT SPENDING SOCIALISM, THAT’S WHERE!

Government spending does NOT stimulate economic growth.  Liberals have a fundamentally flawed view of economics; they falsely believe that government spending provides a “multiplier effect” in which they get back far more than they put it.  The truth is the EXACT OPPOSITE according to the International Monetary Fund:

And that’s why you’ve got ANOTHER graph showing labor force participation at a 28-year low as more and more Americans simply give up and drop out of the workforce altogether.

We’re in a black hole.

And we’re not getting out of this hole until we break free from Barack Obama’s and the Democrat Party’s gravitation suck field of doom.

Hardcore Leftwing Media Bias As The New ‘Objective’ – And You KNOW They’re Scared Witless Of Rick Perry

August 26, 2011

I once heard a liberal TV talking head say something that still horrifies me to this day.  Rather than deny media bias, he essentially called leftwing bias objective, comparing entertaining conservative ideas with giving legitimacy to flat earth talk.  With such a mindset, allowing conservatives to have any voice at all alongside liberalism isn’t “objective,” but ridiculous.  And why be ridiculous and allow conservatives to have any voice whatsoever?

That’s what liberal “tolerance” and “objectivity” gets you: rabid censorship.  Consider what almost-president John Kerry recently said:

The media has got to begin to not give equal time or equal balance to an absolutely absurd notion just because somebody asserts it or simply because somebody says something which everybody knows is not factual.

It doesn’t deserve the same credit as a legitimate idea about what you do. And the problem is everything is put into this tit-for-tat equal battle and America is losing any sense of what’s real, of who’s accountable, of who is not accountable, of who’s real, who isn’t, who’s serious, who isn’t?

Such talk ought to be terrifying to liberals, who congratulate themselves on their open-mindedness.  But the quintessential ingredient to liberals is abject hypocrisy, such that they can shut down any competing voice to their own at the same time they pat themselves on the back for their committment to free speech, etc. etc.

CNN loves to present themselves as the REAL news (even though nobody watches them) because unlike Fox News they’re “objective.”

What does “objectivity” look like to a liberal?

It looks just like CNN‘s Jack Cafferty:

“In an election where the Republican candidate actually stands a chance against a weakened incumbent president, so far it is a couple of intellectual lightweights who are stealing the show.

Since Michele Bachmann won the Iowa straw poll and Rick Perry entered the race, these two have been sucking up most of the media’s attention, mostly for saying stupid stuff. Like Bachmann‘s claim that as president she’ll bring gasoline down to $2 a gallon. Or Perry’s highly inappropriate shot at Federal Reserve Chair Ben Bernanke saying that his actions could be “treasonous.”

Meanwhile, some Republicans, including Karl Rove, are suggesting that the former half-term dropout governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin, is going to join the race as well. Swell. Palin’s people are pushing back against the speculation, saying that anyone who claims to know about her plans is misleading the American people. But Palin has certainly been acting like a candidate, now hasn’t she? Showing up in Iowa during the straw poll voting, and…Iowa-themed political video released ahead of her Labor Day speech which is also scheduled to take place in Iowa. If Palin runs, we’ll have yet another MENSA candidate to join Bachmann and Perry. There is no doubt this three-some would consume the lion’s share of the media coverage.”

At the other end of the intellectual spectrum, there’s Ron Paul, who placed a very close second in the Iowa straw poll. He continues to talk sense – whether or not enough people are listening. There’s Newt Gingrich – love him or hate him, he’s a very bright man. There’s also Jon Huntsman, who says candidates like Bachmann and Perry are too far to the right and have “zero substance.” Testimony to his intellect right there.

He may be right, but I venture to say none of the three has a prayer against Curly, Moe and Larry. And that’s a sad commentary on the state of our politics, isn’t it?

Here’s the question: When it comes to presidential politics, why does America seem to be allergic to brains?

“Objectivity” looks like openly mocking every Republican who has any chance whatsoever of winning the GOP nomination.

And for what it’s worth, if Ron Paul, or Newt Gingrich, or Jon Huntsman actually pulled it out, Jack Cafferty and CNN would be attacking any of them, too.  We saw it with our own eyes when RINO “maverick” (because he constantly rubbed the Republican base raw) John McCain won the nomination.  Next thing you know they were doing this to him:

You know, versus all those “Obama as transcendent haloed messiah” figure that the mainstream media fed us over and over and over again.

The mainstream media have been feeding us this garbage – and ridiculing our candidates as stupid – since Ronald Reagan.  It’s like Lucy promising to hold the football for Charlie Brown.  “Journalists” say, “That conservative candidate can’t win; in fact NO conservative candidate can win!  Because conservatives are stupid and out of touch with the values of the American people.  It doesn’t matter if conservatives outnumber liberals by a full 2-1 margin.  Just like it didn’t matter if Barack Obama was THE most liberal Senator in the entire nation prior to his run for the presidency, just as John Kerry was before Obama.  Facts don’t matter.  Just trust us and let us pick your candidate for you.

And too often Republicans have done just that – and then watched in amazement as the media went from praising the Republican as “the moderate whom the Democrats most fear” into a rightwing fanatic boogeyman.

You want to know whom the Democrats most fear?  Just watch whom they attack the most viciously.  THAT’S the candidate they don’t want to see get the nomination.

And the candidate they most don’t want to see facing their beloved “haloed messiah” is Rick Perry.

Which is why the mainstream media propagandists have been ganging up on him with pure unadulterated lies they’ve artificially created and deceitfully slandering his record.

Remember how Obama made Chris Mathews leg tingle?  Nothing has changed:

Hypocritical Matthews Slams ‘Nasty’ Perry’s Attacks on Obama
By Scott Whitlock | August 22, 2011 | 12:22

On his syndicated program, Sunday, Chris Matthews slammed Rick Perry for being too “nasty” to Barack Obama. The liberal host also wondered if the fact that Perry is not a Mormon gives southerners a “permission slip” to like him.

Speculating on the Texas Governor’s popularity, Matthews theorized, “Do you think part of this southern appeal of this guy, who is to most of us this guy, Rick Perry, is he’s not a Mormon. He’s a Southern Baptist.”

The NBC anchor then suggested sinister motives behind his supporters: “And a lot of it is that permission slip people give themselves, ‘Oh, I’m not bigoted on race or religion, but I just like this guy.'”

On his self-titled program, Matthews said of the presidential candidate: “Some people like- apparently on the right- the fact that [Perry’s] so nasty against Obama.”

Just in the last week, Matthews has used his other program, Hardball, to compare Perry to segregationist Bull Connor.

He also suggested that the governor would have opposed integration. On Sunday, Matthews wondered if the GOP was the “nasty party.” Matthews certainly knows something about being nasty.

A transcript of the exchanges from the August 21, 2011 Chris Matthews Show can be found below:

10:10am EDT

CHRIS MATTHEWS: Do you think part of this southern appeal of this guy, who is to most of us this guy, Rick Perry, is he’s not a Mormon. He’s a Southern Baptist. And a lot of it is that permission slip people give themselves, ‘Oh, I’m not bigoted on race or religion, but I just like this guy.’

RICHARD STENGEL: Well, he checks all the boxes on the right and he doesn’t have to actually say all those conservative things all the time because people know he does that. So it’ll be fine with that. But I think it’s not so much about reaction to Mormonism, it’s a reaction to Obama. It makes the contrast with Obama seem much greater than it–than Romney does. Romney and Obama, if you blur a little bit, they can seem pretty similar.

MATTHEWS: Yeah.

STENGEL: Perry and Obama, no.

MATTHEWS: Yeah. That’s very true. Some people like–apparently on the right–the fact that he’s so nasty against Obama.

JOHN HEILEMANN: Yeah.

MATTHEWS: They like that.

HEILEMANN: The Republican Party is a very conservative party now and a lot of people in the Republican Party don’t believe that Mitt Romney is a genuine conservative. That is always going to be a huge problem for him going forward.

MATTHEWS: Is it a nasty party?

HEILEMANN: Well, there is a piece of it that obviously is very angry. And just to your point about the middle, the middle–there are a lot of different parts of the middle. There are a lot of suburban mothers who are–moms who are not going to like Rick Perry. But there’s an angry downscale part of the middle and they are mad about the economic condition of the country.

In just the past month Chris Matthews has called Republicans “muggers,” “kidnappers” and “terrorists” and slandered Rick Perry as a supporter of segregation and called Perry “Bull Conners with a smile.”

For the record, Bull Connor was so personally vile and such a racist that he was actually a DEMOCRAT.

So it’s really quite remarkable that a vile little weasel such as Chris Mathews would care that a politician not be “nasty,” given what a nasty little rodent he constantly has been toward Republicans in general and toward Rick Perry personally in particular.

It’s also amazing that this same Chris Matthews who is so upset with Republicans’ and Rick Perry’s “nasty” side didn’t mind at all when Barack Obama viciously slandered George Bush as “unpatriotic” and as a “failed leader.”  More recently, Obama tore into Republicans as people who put their party ahead of the country, and as people who “would rather see their opponents lose than America win.”

Meanwhile, Obama’s vice president Joe Biden said Republicans “acted like terrorists.”  While Democrat Representative Maxine Waters said “The Tea Party can go straight to hell.  And I intend to help them get there,” and Democrat Rep. Frederica Wilson said, “Let us all remember who the real enemy is. The real enemy is the Tea Party.”

But of course Chris Mathews is a hard-core Goebbels-style propagandist.  And being “fair” or “objective” is always a mantle such people want to claim while they attack their political enemies with every word they speak or write.

Barack Obama, Nobel Prize Winner And Inventor Of The Violent Thieving Flash Mob Entitlement Mindset

August 25, 2011

We are watching our culture morally and psychologically dumbed-down to a level dangerously below retardation.

And a huge new wave of stupid and depraved as recently arisen during and as a direct result of the age of Obama: the flash mob.

We watched (some of us with horror) the devastation of London, in which a socialistic nanny state was powerless in the grip of entitlement-driven young people who burned and looted as law-abiding business owners learned that the state not only could not but would not protect them.

We saw the results of a government that was presented as the answer to everything – the entitlement society and the entitlement mindset.  We saw the results of a generation conditioned by the political left to be dependent supplicants of the government as Savior.

In particular, we saw in Greece and then again in London what happens when – as Margaret Thatcher said in her description of the problem with socialism – “we run out of other people’s money.”

What happens when people who have been trained and conditioned to believe that the government will provide for them discover that the benefits have run out?

The answer is violence.

If the rich owe us, as Obama and the left keeps telling us, and if the rich aren’t forking out what they owe society to keep it functioning, then what conclusion is rational and inevitable but that we have a right to take from the rich what they will not give us?

Enter the Barack Obama Flash mob epidemic of young blacks who parasitically prey on “rich” whites (“White folks’ greed runs a world in need” alert!):

Young Black Men, and The Power of Flash Mobs!!
June 13, 2011 by Staff

(ThyBlackMan.com) We cannot police hopelessness and despair!

There are those who are angered and surprised by the violence of urban “Flash Mobs” (quickly forming groups of young people using technology to organize), especially crowds of young Black men, descending on mostly White, affluent downtown American cities. However, if we analyze this phenomenon, it is not so surprising. In fact, it is highly predictable. While there is no justification for young Black men to rob and beat people of any race, the activities of flash mobs are easily understandable in the context of recent social history and current economic conditions.

Most of these young men are poor, desperate and hopeless. They come from broken families and broken communities. They have been failed by their schools and by social and faith organizations in their communities. They don’t have jobs and many of them will never have jobs. They live at the bottom rung of society. The kind of havoc they wreak among us through “flash mobbing” is the kind of havoc they have lived with their entire young lives. For them, there is a perverse kind of justice and sense of fairness in their ability to create flash mobs that breathe terror into the hearts of other Americans.

Predictive factors for young Black males participating in the activities of violent flash mobs in Chicago are shown by recent data:

  • This summer, 90% of young Black men in Chicago between 16 and 19 years old are unemployed.
  • Only 44% of Black males graduate with a high school diploma from Chicago public schools.
  • Only three out of 100 Black boys who start kindergarten in the Chicago Public Schools earn a bachelors degree by age 25.
  • 70% of Black children in America are born into and live in single, female-headed households that are usually impoverished.
  • Black males are 6% of Illinois’ population but they represent 60% of the state’s prison population.

The power and strength of a flash mob are in its large number of congregants and in its ability to assemble quickly and to disband equally as fast. The word “flash” is an allusion to social media — texting, smart phones Twitter and Facebook. Flash media, an effective tool for organizing a social cause, is the same media that brought down the government of Egypt. Now inner-city youth are using this same media, but instead of toppling governments, they “topple” Macy’s, Neiman Marcus and Old Navy, and they steal IPads and IPhones from defenseless citizens.

The message from the flash mob to us is even more threatening than the mob itself. That message is, “You can’t control us! You don’t scare us! Your police don’t scare us! Your prisons don’t scare us! We are mightier than you! We will take what you have because you have given us few other options in life for earning similar things. And most importantly, we will take your peace of mind. Just as we in our communities cannot ever feel secure, now neither can you! We are more afraid of continuing to live our lives as they are than we are of you locking us up. What do we have to lose? For once, we are more powerful than you!”

Flash mobs are not new. In Black communities across America for the past 30 years, large groups of Black males have attacked others. In the past few years, jobless, desperate, hopeless youth have rioted in France, Greece, Belgium, Sweden, Denmark, Tunisia, and Egypt in efforts eerily similar to America’s flash mobs, but on a much larger scale and with politically clear motives and demands. These youth have taken over business districts, cities and countries and they have destroyed billions of dollars in property while toppling governments. The same root causes for these youth riots and disturbances in Europe and Northern Africa are producing similar actions, and possibly similar politically conscious attitudes, in the youth of Chicago, New York City, Charlotte, Baltimore, Boston, Philadelphia and other American cities.

Politicians and the police are working under the false and dangerous assumption that hopelessness and despair can be policed. The police are out-numbered and out-maneuvered in this battle of minds, spirits, bodies and technology. Even as thirty-three flash mobbers were arrested in Chicago this past week, the communities in Chicago were producing a thousand more potential flash mobbers to replace them. When Black boys are not reading at grade level by the third grade, we are creating conditions for a flash mob. When Black teenagers cannot find meaningful work, we are creating conditions for a flash mob. When young Black boys do not have suitable role models and mentors, we are creating conditions for a flash mob.

The best way to deter a violent flash mob is to stop it from forming. The best time to stop it from forming is when the potential congregants are 2 and 3 years old, not when they are 16, 20 and 30 years old. The best weapons against flash mobs are jobs, not police with guns; education, not incarceration; and positive guidance and direction, not threats or curses. Can flash mobs be stopped? Absolutely. Is America working properly to stop them? Absolutely not.

Welcome to the year 2011 where ethics, sociology, economics, criminology, politics and technology cross! The flash mobbers are trying to tell us, “You can’t stop us, but with your help, we can stop ourselves!”

“Flash mobs are not new,” the article says, pointing to incidents in Europe.  But we never saw one in America until the age of Obama.  Liberaism brought Europe to America, while conservatives did everything they could to try to prevent that cultural nihilism from ariving.

Decent people call it mob looting; liberals call it “the redistribution of wealth.”  Decent people call it anarchy and the breakdown of society and civiliation; liberals call it “social justice.”

The hero of liberalism and of the Democrat Party is the black person.  But consider:

The most dangerous possible place for a black child to be in America is in his or her mother’s womb.  Nearly HALF of all black babies are aborted.  The depravity of American blacks since 1973 DWARFS the holocaust that the shocked and horrorfied the world in the genocide that took place in Rwanda.

“Nobility” is defined by the left as killing your own baby.

For liberals, “nobility’ is defined as being a convicted criminal.  Nearly 40 percent of young black men are under the control of the criminal justice system.  Conversely, as the leftist black leadership puts it, more blacks are in prison than were in slavery in 1850 (as blacks have literally placed THEMSELVES in the chains of bondage).

Nearly seventy percent of blacks are in single parent households, as their culture is collapsing all around them.

And I am constantly lectured that white people are the ones who are immoral.  And we’re bad people because 96% of us didn’t vote for Barack Obama the way blacks did.

And I am beyond sick and tired and disgusted with black leaders presiding over a community in total moral depradation calling me a racist when they are people consumed by race and dedicated to the ideology of taking more from other races and giving it to themselves.

You look at the cities that have voted Democrat for a hundred years, and they are ALL in complete collapse and in total despair.  And all they can do is turn their rage outward – ignoring the consequence of their own lifestyles and their own voting record – and lash out at “white folks’ greed.”

Having said all that, this isn’t a failing of “the black race”; it is a total failing of the direction that black leaders have taken their community in America.  Failed leaders have led their people to failure.

Conservatives predicted that Obama’s “hope and change” policies would lead to food stamps and unemployment.  But now we’re seeing that Obama is leading to even more: it is leading to predation and collapse.

Obama Proven To Be An Unpatriotic Traitor By His Own Lying And Demagogic Rhetoric

August 25, 2011

It’s past time to demonize a genuine demon.

It’s past time to demagogue a true hypocrite demagogue.

It’s past time to call out an unpatriotic fool for the traitor that he is.

It’s past time the American people got to see their president for the ugliness of his 2008 campaign and the ugliness of his soul right now.

The title of the CBS news story dated August 23rd tells us that Barack Hussein just passed a milestone:

22, 2011 6:34 PM
National debt has increased $4 trillion under Obama
By Mark Knoller

The latest posting by the Treasury Department shows the national debt has now increased $4 trillion on President Obama’s watch.

The debt was $10.626 trillion on the day Mr. Obama took office. The latest calculation from Treasury shows the debt has now hit $14.639 trillion.

It’s the most rapid increase in the debt under any U.S. president.

The national debt increased $4.9 trillion during the eight-year presidency of George W. Bush. The debt now is rising at a pace to surpass that amount during Mr. Obama’s four-year term.

Barack Obama is a national disgrace.  He became president by cynically making completely false promises during a time when Americans naively believed his hollow rhetoric.

Here’s what this Liar in Chief said in 2008 when he demonized George Bush:

Here is the transcript of his words:

“The problem is, is that the way Bush has done it over the last eight years is to take out a credit card from the Bank of China in the name of our children, driving up our national debt from $5 trillion for the first 42 presidents – #43 added $4 trillion by his lonesome, so that we now have over $9 trillion of debt that we are going to have to pay back — $30,000 for every man, woman and child. That’s irresponsible. It’s unpatriotic.”

Well, tune in today when Obama has spent $4 trillion not in two terms, but in just 2 1/2 years.  Tune in to a man who is now a documented traitor by his own demagogic rhetoric.

What is UNPATRIOTIC is Barack Hussein Obama.

Hot Air points out the abject hypocrisy that is quintessential to Barack Obama’s cockroach character:

And what exactly has Obama done as President? Despite claiming that he has known that deficit reduction has been needed since the first day he took office, Obama has offered no deficit reduction proposals in his term as President. In fact, he has submitted budget proposals that have massively expanded deficit spending.

Just how patriotic is that? After all, if Obama can use the increase in the national debt to question Bush’s patriotism, doesn’t it follow that increasing deficit spending by 152% per month makes Obama 152% more “unpatriotic” than Bush?

And there is more to say, of course.  Because Barack Obama is a demagogue and a cynical liar to his core.

What did this lying fearmongering demagogue say of George Bush when Bush needed to increase the debt ceiling?

“The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. … Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that ‘the buck stops here. Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.”

Obama is a completely failed leader.  And part of that failed leadership is a pathological inability to accept responsibility for his own presidency.  He is trying as we speak to blame Republicans for the debt ceiling fiasco when HE IS NEARLY COMPLETELY RESPONSIBLE FOR IT.

Replay the core promise of Obama’s presidency in the words of the New York Times in your mind and in your heart:

WASHINGTON — At the core of Senator Barack Obama’s presidential campaign is a promise that he can transcend the starkly red-and-blue politics of the last 15 years, end the partisan and ideological wars and build a new governing majority.

To achieve the change the country wants, he says, “we need a leader who can finally move beyond the divisive politics of Washington and bring Democrats, independents and Republicans together to get things done.”

But this promise leads, inevitably, to a question: Can such a majority be built and led by Mr. Obama, whose voting record was, by one ranking, the most liberal in the Senate last year?

You need to finally understand the truth: the mainstream media is nothing more than leftist propaganda.  They lied to you from the start about Barack Obama.  Unless calling George Bush unpatriotic because he did something that Obama has now done three times worse is “finally moving beyond the divisive politics of Washington” and “bringing Democrats and Republicans together” and “ending the partisan and ideological wars.”

Maybe your soul is so diseased that you think that Joe Biden was doing those things when he demonized the Tea Party Republicans by saying, “They have acted like terrorists.”   Maybe your soul has become so cockroach like that you still believe those lies when Democrat Rep. Maxine Waters said “The Tea Party can go straight to hell.  And I intend to help them get there.”  Maybe you are so genuinely depraved that you think Democrats are trying to reach out for the common good when Frederica Wilson says:

Let us all remember who the real enemy is. The real enemy is the Tea Party,” Rep. Frederica Wilson, D-Fla., said at a Miami town hall, according to The Hill. “The Tea Party holds the Congress hostage. They have one goal in mind, and that’s to make President Obama a one-term president.”

Maybe you are so diseased in your soul – and so ideologically rabid – that you believe the talking point that somehow the Republicans who stood by the values that saw them win massively in 2010 are “terrorists who are holding America hostage.”    Instead of revealing in every way imaginable that Barack Obama and the modern Democrat Party are the most divisive and polarizing instruments in our national history.

Please regain your capacity to actually think and morally reason.  Republicans were demonized during the debt ceiling negotiations for holding positions that were virtually identical to the demagogic lies that Obama told.  When Obama said reckless spending was a “failure of leadership,” what he meant as a cynical talking point is actually a conservative article of faith: it IS a failure of leadership to do what Obama swore he wouldn’t do but has in fact done three times worse than the man he demonized.  When Obama disingenuously said that it was “unpatriotic” to borrow trillions of dollars from China on a credit card our children will have to pay off, what he said cynically to get elected is something that conservatives believe to be true.  And essentially what Obama and the Democrats are saying to Republicans now is, “You guys are traitors for believing the same stuff we cynically said to manipulate the American people to vote for us in 2008.

Republicans openly admit they spent too much when they ran things prior to 2006.  Republican House leader Eric Cantor said:

“And basically, the sense of the ‘Pledge to America’ is this: Republicans understand when we were in charge, we got fired in ’06. We spent too much money. We defied the trust that the people had put in us. And we know that there is a better way.”

House Majority leader John Boehner admitted, “For the last decade, we’ve spent more money than we take in.”  Many of those years were years that Republicans were in control.  And Republicans admit they made mistakes even as they vow they will not make those same mistakes AGAIN.

Having admitted that it is a fact that Republicans spent too much when they ran Congress before January 2007 (when Democrats took over and proceeded to systematically run America into the ground), let’s also point out the FACT that Republicans didn’t spend ANYTHING LIKE DEMOCRATS’ INSANE SPENDING.  And The Republican-controlled Congress’ last budget had a deficit of $162 billion.  Compared to the $1.65 TRILLION deficit this year, the  2010 budget that had a $1.6 TRILLION deficit, the 2009 budget that had a $1.42 TRILLION deficit.

Another way to put it is this: Republicans are demanding that Democrats be what they falsely promised the American people they would be and do what they falsely promised the American people they would do.

If you want a proven liar and a proven demagogue, vote for Obama.  Because that is all you’re going to get.
