Obama-Appointed General Dives Into Political Fray To Attack OPSEC Ex-Soldiers For Not Staying Above Political Fray

It’s that question I always ask: if you say it’s so damn wrong, then just why the hell do you keep doing it?

Let’s take this one on: it is wrong for soldiers to attack Obama because doing so means entering the political fray.  But it is NOT wrong for the man who says it’s wrong to enter the political fray to enter the political fray.

But if it’s actually wrong for soldiers to enter the political fray, why in the hell did General Martin Dempsey enter the political fray???

It amounts to the general being angry that others are doing what he is doing merely because they happen to be on the opposite side of the political fray from himself.  At least until he comes unglued denouncing former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Colin Powell for endorsing Barack Obama.  Oh, and former General Wesley Clark for endorsing John Kerry.  Oh, and let’s not forget John Kerry himself along with his “band of brothers” who went around campaigning with him.  I guess it’s okay THOSE times because … because … well, just BECAUSE.  Don’t ask questions.

We seem to have broken General Martin Dempsey’s rule rather quickly as a nation, oh, given the fact that our very first top general – George Washington – somehow had the unmitigated gall to enter that damn political fray to become our very first president.  But stuff like that are just facts, and liberals really don’t care about such things.

The fascinating thing about this is that THE SOLDIERS THAT GENERAL MARTIN DEMPSEY IS ATTACKING ARE NO LONGER ACTIVE-DUTY SOLDIERS. THEY ARE OUT OF THE MILITARY.  WHICH MEANS THEY HAVE EVERY DAMN RIGHT TO ENTER ANY POLITICAL FRAY THAT THEY WANT TO ENTER WHEREAS THE GENERAL WHO SAYS SOLDIERS SHOULDN’T ENTER THE POLITICAL FRAY IS HIMSELF CURRENTLY ACTIVE DUTY EVEN AS HE ENTERS THE POLITICAL FRAY.

I myself served in the U.S. Army.  I had not been told that in doing so I would forfeit my political free speech rights for all time and eternity.  And it is frankly amazing to me that a man who is currently wearing the uniform of active duty military service would actually have the chutzpah to “enter the political fray” in order to “blast” men who have put away their uniforms to enter civilian life for “entering the political fray.”

How does it that these people’s heads don’t explode trying to contain all the contradictions???

Top US general blasts ex-officers for attacking Obama

ABOARD A US MILITARY AIRCRAFT — US military chief General Martin Dempsey denounced ex-officers Tuesday for waging a campaign against President Barack Obama, arguing that soldiers had a duty to stay above the political fray.

Wading into a potential minefield during a hotly contested White House race, Dempsey voiced his disapproval of a group of retired military members and CIA officers who have accused Obama of spilling sensitive national security details to help secure his re-election.

Asked if the group’s criticism was valid or useful, Dempsey, chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, said he would not comment on the substance of their allegations.

But he added: “As to the latter, is it useful? No, it’s not useful. It’s not useful to me.”

The military had a unique role that required political neutrality, said Dempsey, who spoke to reporters aboard his plane en route to the United States after visiting Afghanistan and Iraq.

“And one of the things that marks us as a profession in a democracy, in our form of democracy, that’s most important is that we remain apolitical.

“That’s how we maintain our bond and trust with the American people,” the general said.

The group of ex-Navy SEALs and other retired officers who have blasted Obama, dubbed OPSEC for “operational security,” insist they are not a partisan organization but have genuine concerns about national security leaks.

In videos aired this month, the group said the Obama administration endangered the United States and the safety of troops by allegedly spilling secrets about operations, including the American raid last year that killed Osama bin Laden.

And that’s how the highly political General Martin Dempsey lost his bond and trust with me.

The opening words of the Wikipedia article  on this general pretty much tell you what you need to know:

General Martin E. Dempsey, USA (born March 14, 1952) is the 18th and current Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He previously served 149 days as the 37th Chief of Staff of the Army from April 11, 2011, to September 7, 2011…  Dempsey assumed his current assignment on October 1, 2011.

That tells you 1) that Obama appointed Martin Dempsey as the Army Chief of Staff and then 2) Obama appointed Martin Dempsey as the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. 

I’m just betting you that virtually all of the mainstream media will omit these little factoids as they run this propaganda piece.

And Obama likes to appoint only those who have noses that comfortably and willingly fit snugly up his rectum.

General Martin Dempsey is a self-identified hypocrite, and it is absolutely no surprise to me whatsoever that this is the kind of scoundrel that you get when Barack Obama is the president.

If this worthless disgrace of an Obama appointee had any testicles at all, he would be lambasting Barack Obama for his disastrous Afghanistan policy (and then resigning over his OWN military failures) as well as lambasting the political left for literally calling Navy SEALs and CIA front line fighters “gutless.”
