Remember How Leftist Media And Democrats Mocked Sarah Palin Over ‘Death Panels’? Now Überliberal Paul Krugman Is Demanding More Death Panels

The only thing that can possibly vie for Obama’s out of control spending tally is the sheer number of times conservatives are able to say “we told you so.”

I certainly did:

Get ready, they’re coming.  As the costs of health care soar even faster because of the corrupt boondoggle known as ObamaCare takes over a system that had already been rendered inefficient by excessive government interference, the costs will skyrocket.  And it will become a rather painfully obvious fact that old people consume the vast majority of health care resources.  And the next inevitable step is to say, “Time to die with dignity, Grandma.”

The ObamaCare snowball is going to very quickly become an avalanche.  And the most demonic policy (abortion) in the history of the human race will spread like a plague – just as it did in Nazi Germany, and just as it is doing in China as we speak.

Here’s yet another one: do you remember that moment in history when Sarah Palin said she didn’t want ObamaCare to pass because she wouldn’t want her disabled son Trig to have to stand before a death panel?

Remember the rabid, frothing at the mouth, unhinged denials by the left???

A few years go by, and then one of the premier liberal journalists actually began to publicly call for the EXACT DAMN THING that Sarah Palin warned America about:

Krugman: U.S. Needs Death Panels, Sales Taxes
by Joel Griffith5 Feb 2013

Paul Krugman

Nobel Prize winning “economist” Paul Krugman spoke at Sixth & I Historic Synagogue in Washington, D.C. last week. During the Q&A session following the lecture, an audience member asked him about the rising national debt.

Earlier in the evening, Krugman had already vocalized his satisfaction at President Obama’s apparent lack of concern over the exploding cumulative deficit. However, in a moment of brutal honesty, the esteemed Princeton professor revealed his long-term prognosis. According to the professor,

Eventually we do have a problem. That the population is getting older, health care costs are rising…there is this question of how we’re going to pay for the programs. The year 2025, the year 2030, something is going to have to give…. …. We’re going to need more revenue…Surely it will require some sort of middle class taxes as well.. We won’t be able to pay for the kind of government the society will want without some increase in taxes… on the middle class, maybe a value added tax…And we’re also going to have to make decisions about health care, doc pay for health care that has no demonstrated medical benefits . So the snarky version…which I shouldn’t even say because it will get me in trouble is death panels and sales taxes is how we do this.

Years of accumulating debt and expanding government programs only moves us down the “road to serfdom.” As Krugman surmised, the consequence is government confiscation of wealth and government control over health care. Rarely are Leftists so candid in articulating their hopes. “Death panels and sales taxes” is the mantra of those seizing power in the nation founded on the rights of “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” What a difference two centuries makes.

Apparently, Barack Obama is not the only dangerous and lethal liberal fool who needs a teleprompter lest the truth blurt out of his lying lips.

The concept of the death panel is as old as liberalism and its identical twin socialism.  Hitler had his, Stalin had his.  And famous liberal progressive George Bernard Shaw once put it marvellously:

“You must all know half a dozen people at least who are no use in this world; who are more trouble than they are worth. Just put them there, and say, now sir or madam, now will you be kind enough to justify your existence? If you can’t justify your existence; if you’re not pulling your weight in the social boat; if you’re not producing as much as you consume or perhaps a little more, then clearly we cannot use the big organisation of our society for the purpose of keeping you alive, because your life does not benefit us, and it can’t be of very much use to yourself.”

And it’s not like “death panels” weren’t already a documented fact inherent in ObamaCare even before the demonic piece of socialist takeover of America became law:

Obama regulatory czar Cass Sunstein wrote:

“I urge that the government should indeed focus on life-years rather than lives. A program that saves young people produces more welfare than one that saves old people.”

He wrote:

“Other things being equal, a program that protects young people seems far better than one that protects old people, because it delivers greater benefits.”

That’s why liberal intellectual and Obama advisor Robert Reich had this to say:

“Thank you so much for coming this afternoon. I’m so glad to see you and I would like to be president. Let me tell you a few things on health care. Look, we have the only health care system in the world that is designed to avoid sick people. And that’s true and what I’m going to do is that I am going try to reorganize it to be more amenable to treating sick people but that means you, particularly you young people, particularly you young healthy people…you’re going to have to pay more.

“Thank you. And by the way, we’re going to have to, if you’re very old, we’re not going to give you all that technology and all those drugs for the last couple of years of your life to keep you maybe going for another couple of months. It’s too expensive…so we’re going to let you die.”

You know the joke about starting out in diapers and ending up that way, too.  Well, just remember that Democrats are pro-abortion and don’t mind killing useless eaters at either end of the age spectrum.

In our world – where good has become evil and evil has become good – I have no doubt Krugman will get another Nobel Prize for this.

What was it that the Nazis called it?  They had a term for this, you know.

That’s right: Lebensunwertes leben.  Life unworthy of life.  The Nazis literally had “mercy wagons” driving around picking up all the people that the government had decided were a burden to the system after they socialized their health care system just like Obama socialized ours.

We ALL deserve to stand in front of one of Obama’s death panels and justify our existence – and be deemed unworthy of life.  We are a wicked people and we deserve judgment.  God is patient, but this is a nation that must either be brought down or God must declare Himself unjust.  Thomas Jefferson famously wrote, “I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, that His justice cannot sleep forever.”

I cower in fear for my country.  And when I look around at this nation, the bull’s eye for judgment is all around me.

Liberals are happy because they know that Obama – the quintessential ideologue – will use his death panels to punish his enemies the way he’s using his attorney general to punish his critics.

Everything Obama said about ObamaCare was a demonic lie from the pit of hell.  He said if you liked your plan you could keep your plan.  We just learned that 7 million working American families are going to lose their employer-based health care directly because of ObamaCare.  He said if you like your doctor you could keep your doctor.  We now know that doctors are fleeing medicine – and particularly primary care medicine – in droves as a direct result of ObamaCare.  And that as a result of ObamaCare America will face a critical doctor shortage in the years to come because Obama won’t pay doctors enough for their services (and shouldn’t the rich be punished and driven out of the market?).  And Obama promised the American people that his immigration policies would never result in illegal immigrants getting ObamaCare – to which Rep. Joe Wilson famously said, “You lie!”  We now see that yes, Obama lied.  Obama said his ObamaCare would bring the cost of health care down.  We now know that that was merely another lie from a truly evil man.

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act – that’s what the demonic Democrat Party called their socialist takeover that will crush millions of Americans in its gears of bureaucracy.

And yes, we now know that death panels were part of this demonic package of lies.  The entire ObamaCare bureaucracy is one giant death panel:

https://startthinkingright.files.wordpress.com/2012/03/obamacare_160_bureaucracies.png

160 bureaucracies equals one giant death panel for you to stand in and justify your right to live to a panel that will treat you just like the 55.7 million babies they’ve ruthlessly murdered.

D. James Kennedy prophetically summed it up: “Watch out, Grandma and Grandpa!  Because the generation that survived abortion will one day come after you!”

You want a terrifying prediction?  Old people are about to become the “rich people” that Democrats constantly demonically demagogue now.

More and more senior citizens – you know, the oldest and wisest – have turned Republican.  And Democrats have responded by turning to morally stupid and intellectually ignorant young people.  It is just a matter of a very short time before Democrats use the same avalanche of lies to demagogue the Social Security and Medicare systems that THEY created as they get the vote of young people by promising to turn on old people as the staggeringly insane bill for all the benefits they promised to that generation come due.

I wish that the Democrats that voted for obama would wake up & smell the coffee. They need to realize to much that piece of GARBAGE lied as it proves that he is a Racist prejudice American Hating Bigot.

The Democrats better leave Sarah Palin alone.

    Anna Bennett,

I don’t think they’ll realize what they did even when their burning in hell for having done it.

The level of personal, abject hypocrisy has reached a tipping point: these are people who are now pathologically incapable of any kind of personal self-introspection whatsoever.

C.S. Lewis wrote about the atheist burning in hell forever trying to assure himself that it can’t be real so it must just be some kind of bad dream. That’s where we’re at as a nation now.

    genomega1,

    Thank you.

I was in a conversation at a Starbucks this past summer with a couple of creepy Government Democrats. We were talking about the economics of the coming healthcare boondoggle. I brought up having had experience with the expenses of end of life medical treatment. I mentioned that when or after my mom died I added up EOBs from the insurance company that totaled over a million dollars. I expressed a curiosity about how the system would manage when millions of non-payers would be added to the equation. The government shithead that I was conversing with asked how old my mom was. I replied that she was an 80 something. He expressed that expensive and medically heroic efforts were wasted on someone who had already lived past an average lifespan. He suggested that the best treatment would be to just make such a patient comfortable with drugs until the end.

But no there won’t be any death panels. That Idea is hysterically absurd. It will be more like a committee.

In a similar conversation I postulated that it costs between $600,000 and a million to treat a person with AIDS for the duration. According to CDC there are about a million cases of AIDS currently and a million more yet to be diagnosed. So I assert that I can sys this, when AIDS hits the “pool” it is going to be an expense on the order of a million times a million. That would be $1,000,000,000,000. That’s a trillion dollars.

Now that isn’t the kind of money a liberal government shithead will quibble about like he does for your dying mom.

See, these are guys who consider themselves morally superior or accomplished by virtue of their admiration for the homosexual. In their minds it is just horrible that a fellow in his prime would have his life cut short by a horrible disease.

So I wonder about the committee. Would there be a Barney Frank on such a committee saying “Spare no expense! This is horrible! We must do everything to cure these poor fellows!”

Except that disease was already cured some decades ago when they discovered how it was transmitted. The answer was simply don’t transmit it now that you know. But our holy and noble government agency, the CDC, instead of isolating the disease picked up the flag for a patients right to privacy instead.

Yeah, holy and noble public servants… like the dickheads I was talking to. They don’t pay Social Security. They are happy to invent and support programs that are absolutely of no consequence to their struggle for prosperity or survival.

Those conversations usually end in me saying “go to hell!” or something worse.

  6. Michael Eden Says:

    Dog Walker,

Of course, a good synonym for “panel” would be “committee.” Every panel I’ve ever seen has been composed of multiple members.

    So death committees, then.

I’ve pointed out numerous times and point out in this article that ObamaCare is a “death panel” by means of 160 separate bureaucracies that are created. It is a maze of death panels.

What do liberals want? They want to replace God with their version of government. God is dead, but their government lives forever. Hitler boasted of his “thousand year Reich.” The Marxists said that individual humans died and faded away, but the State is forever.

For liberals, a state-run economy IS a Utopia. And it doesn’t matter if we’re all scrapping our own fecal matter out of the ground to comply with government quotas (they use it as fuel and fertilizer) in North Korea.

Liberals want raw government power so they can pick who wins and who loses, who gets taxed and who gets redistribution, who benefits and who pays, and yes, who lives and who dies.

Other than hypocrisy, the pursuit of government power for the sake of government power is their quintessential ingredient.

Krugman is one of those on the short list that would not want to meet me in a dark alley. I have a special contempt for this idiot, because he thinks he is an economist and he is so arrogant. His Nobel Prize is a nothing but a joke, as so is the Nobel Prize itself. It is Keynesian policies like the ones that he advocates that are destroying America economically. Peter Schiff would destroy this guy and make him look like the fool that he is. Actually, I think that I could mop the floor with this guy in a debate, but I would prefer the dark alley, instead. Some things are better done in the dark.

In that picture, it looks like he just got done toking on a crack pipe, as he lectures on Keynesian idiocy.

  8. FMC Says:

Oh, by the way, I had to memorize this line you created. I will add it to my arsenal.

“Liberals want raw government power so they can pick who wins and who loses, who gets taxed and who gets redistribution, who benefits and who pays, and yes, who lives and who dies.”

  9. Michael Eden Says:

    FMC,

The Nobel Prize is largely a hallmark as to one’s liberalism and the extent to which one will go to advance the inherently leftist ideology of political correctness and seek to impose it on others. Paul Krugman deserves his Nobel Prize about as much as Obama – whom everybody realized didn’t deserve it for anything he had actually accomplished – deserved his.

The award is a meaningless joke which only has any weight because meaningless pseudo-journalist “news” networks claim it has meaning.

We’re going to be able to see how successful high taxes work: I am going on the record stating that Obama won’t be able to raise anywhere NEAR what his Keynesian cronies say his tax hikes will raise. Because Keynesianism is a joke and high taxes that punish investors and businesses will cause the economy to contract rather than expand.

But you are very harsh. I’m sure Krugman waited until after the picture to take a hit off his crack pipe.

  10. Michael Eden Says:

    FMC,

    Thanks for the credit.

The words were mine, but the ideas behind them, of course, come from a developing understanding by limited government conservatives as to the true motives of the left.
