I have been predicting (see here and here and here and here and here) that the United States military was going to hell for years now. 

Well, it is virtually official now:

Pentagon: Religious Proselytizing is Not Permitted

Religious liberty groups have grave concerns after they learned the Pentagon is vetting its guide on religious tolerance with a group that compared Christian evangelism to “rape” and advocated that military personnel who proselytize should be court martialed.

The Military Religious Freedom Foundation is calling on the Air Force to enforce a regulation that they believe calls for the court martial of any service member caught proselytizing.

President Mikey Weinstein and others from his organization met privately with Pentagon officials on April 23. He said U.S. troops who proselytize are guilty of sedition and treason and should be punished – by the hundreds if necessary – to stave off what he called a “tidal wave of fundamentalists.”

“Someone needs to be punished for this,” Weinstein told Fox News. “Until the Air Force or Army or Navy or Marine Corps punishes a member of the military for unconstitutional religious proselytizing and oppression, we will never have the ability to stop this horrible, horrendous, dehumanizing behavior.”boykin

Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, told Fox News he was stunned that the Pentagon would be taking counsel and advice from the Military Religious Freedom Foundation.

“Why would military leadership be meeting with one of the most rabid atheists in America to discuss religious freedom in the military,” Perkins said. “That’s like consulting with China on how to improve human rights.”

The FRC has launched a petition drive urging Defense Sec. Chuck Hagel to protect the religious freedom of troops “and not to proceed with the purge of religion within the ranks called for by anti-Christian activists.”

Pentagon officials met with Weinstein and his group were to discuss a policy called “Air Force Culture, Air Force Standards,” published on Aug. 7, 2012.

Section 2.11 requires “government neutrality regarding religion.”

“Leaders at all levels must balance constitutional protections for an individual’s free exercise of religion or other personal beliefs and the constitutional prohibition against governmental establishment of religion,” the regulation states.

Military leaders were admonished not to use their position to “promote their personal religious beliefs to their subordinates or to extend preferential treatment for any religion.”

Weinstein said it’s time for the Air Force to enforce the regulation – with zeal.

“If a member of the military is proselytizing in a manner that violates the law, well then of course they can be prosecuted,” he said. “We would love to see hundreds of prosecutions to stop this outrage of fundamentalist religious persecution.”

He compared the act of proselytizing to rape.

“It is a version of being spiritually raped and you are being spiritually raped by fundamentalist Christian religious predators,” he told Fox News.

He said there is a time and a place for those in uniform to share their faith – but he took issues with fundamentalism that he says is causing widespread problems in the military.

“When those people are in uniform and they believe there is no time, place or manner in which they can be restricted from proselytizing, they are creating tyranny, oppression, degradation, humiliation and horrible, horrible pain upon members of the military,” he said.

Perkins said the military regulations have “Weinstein’s fingerprints all over it.”

“It threatens to treat service members caught witnessing as enemies of the state,” he said, referring to a Washington Post article highlighting Weinstein’s meeting with Pentagon officials. “Non-compliance, the Pentagon suggests, even from ordained chaplains could result in court-martialing on a case-by-case basis.”

The Pentagon confirmed to Fox News that Christian evangelism is against regulations.

“Religious proselytization is not permitted within the Department of Defense, LCDR Nate Christensen said in a written statement. He declined to say if any chaplains or service members had been prosecuted for such an offense.

“Court martials and non-judicial punishments are decided on a case-by-case basis and it would be inappropriate to speculate on the outcome in specific cases,” he said.

Ron Crews, the executive director of the Chaplain Alliance for Religious Liberty, warns that the Air Force policy would “significantly impact the religious liberties of Air Force personnel.”

“Saying that a service member cannot speak of his faith is like telling a service member he cannot talk about his spouse or children,” Crews said. “I do not think the Air Force wants to ban personnel from protected religious speech, and I certainly hope that it is willing to listen to the numerous individuals and groups who protect military religious liberty without demonizing service members.”

In an interview with the Washington Post, Weinstein called proselytizing a “national security threat.”

“And what the Pentagon needs to understand is that it is sedition and treason,” he told the newspaper. “It should be punished.”

Perkins said it was troubling the Obama Administration would place so much trust in someone like Weinstein.

“Unfortunately, it appears our military is on a forced march away from the very freedoms they are sworn to protect,” he said. “This language from Weinstein that Christians who share their faith or offer comfort to others from their faith in Jesus Christ is “sedition and treason” is a treasonous statement in and of itself.”

But Weinstein said they count thousands of Protestants among their ranks – and said they are simply going after fundamentalists.

“As soon as we find a fundamentalist Muslim, atheist, Jewish person or anybody else, we will be happy to fight them – but so far they have been few and far between,” he said.

Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Jerry Boykin, an executive vice president with the Family Research Council, told Fox News that he’s deeply concerned by what he call a pattern of attacks on Christianity within the military.

“Mickey Weinstein has a very visceral hated of Christianity and those who are Christians,” he said. “He’d like to see it eliminated from the military entirely.”

If the Air Force policy is implemented, Boykin said Christians who speak of their faith “could now be prosecuted as enemies of the state.”

“This has the potential to destroy military recruiting across the services as Americans realize that their faith will be suppressed by joining the military,” Boykin said.

In the meantime, Weinstein and his group said they will continue to push for the Pentagon to fully implement its ban on proselytizing.

“There is a time, place and manner in which proselytizing is not only allowed, but it’s something we support among our Christian clients,” Weinstein said. “However, you can’t scream fire in a crowded theater and you can’t scream Jesus in a crowded theater at certain times, places, and in certain manners.”

As we speak, a Christian was just sentenced to death in Iran.  His crime?  Being a Christian.  Which of course makes rabid atheists like Weinstein happy.  He wants Iran to come to America and do unto the Christians as Iran is doing unto them.  Apparently Obama agrees.

Just today, we’ve got a Christian in North Korea being sentenced to fifteen years of hard labor.  What was his crime?  Being a Christian.  And the vicious communist monsters in North Korea view being a Christian exactly the same way that Weinstein views them: as seditious traitors.

We’ve seen the kinds of places that Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchens, and numerous other atheists yearn for: they’re called “re-education camps,” and they come only from officially state atheist societies:

State atheism has been defined as the official “promotion of atheism” by a government, typically by active suppression of religious freedom and practice.[1]

State promotion of atheism as a public norm was first practised during a brief period in Revolutionary France. Only communist states and socialist states have done so since.

And it is no coincidence that these communist officially state atheist societies have murdered more human beings during peacetime than have been killed in all the wars in history.

Or take the Nazis. Please, as they say.

So now it is an official crime against the state to say the name of Jesus?

State atheists like Weinstein are guilty of murdering more than 100 million of their own people.  During peacetime.  I’d call THAT “horrible, horrendous, dehumanizing behavior.”  But atheists like Mikey Weinstein would just call it another day at the office.

Atheist Mao murdered 45 million people in just four years – again during PEACETIME.  Atheist Joseph Stalin signed mass death warrants late into the night and murdered tens of millions – during peacetime.

Let’s consider these TRUE monsters words.  Let’s consider the worldview of state atheism:

    Well, at least you understand the expectation of a Christian.

    Romans 5:8-10 says,

    But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

    That’s a tough one to live up to.

    But the thing is that our Creator demands that we do just that. And He created hell for the devil and his angels as well as for those who chose any other path.

    I’ve pointed out to pacifists that one very much can be a Christian and a soldier, a Christian and a cop. I’ve been both in my life. One can be a Christian and fight to keep his family safe. And I submit that the Bible is filled with example of God’s people – very much including Jesus Himself – exposing wicked people for what they are and calling them out.

    I know I’ve crossed the line a few times and allowed my anger to get the better of me on this very blog. But I confess my sins, and yes, Jesus is my moral hero and my role model. He’s the one I want to be like; not some guy who takes revenge on everybody who gets in his way.

    In this case, I simply wanted to point out THE FACT that if atheists like Mikey Weinstein got their way, we would be living in the same “North Korea-Utopia” that every OTHER state atheist government has become.

    Politically, there is certainly a real element of truth to the (actually Muslim-originated) phrase, “the enemy of my enemy is my friend.”

    I enourage everyone to come to the cross of Christ and accept His forgiveness and salvation, but short of that, if anybody wants to team up against the dynamic duo of Lucifer and Obama, I’m all for it.

    The Bible declares that we’re ALL sinners and that NO ONE deserves to wear the title “good person.” But that said, we should all know that there are plenty of decent people who want “the good” who have not yet given their lives to Jesus. And all we can do with these decent people is accept them where they’re at, encourage their pursuit of “the good,” and try to help them on their way to the Savior.

    There was a Mikey Weinstein in my life some years ago. The guy’s name was actually Seth. That name seems to indicate that he was started on the right path. Anyway, this guy was a JINO. Hey, there can be RINOs and DINOs for Republicans in name only and Democrats respectively. How about Jews in name only?

    Of course I don’t hold the guy in particular high esteem, so if I get to criticizing the guys character, me saying “Jew” is going to come across as a pejorative. Oh well.

    This guy would tell you how much of a Jew he was when he could wear it as a shroud of ostensible victimhood. But if he’d never told us he was a Jew who’d have ever known the difference? By his own admission he never went to Jew church. He didn’t worship the God of Abraham and said he didn’t even believe in God.

    Who cares?

    Well he could sure tell you how nasty Christianity and Christians were because of the holocaust in Germany in the ’40s. According to him Christians were responsible for that. I suppose there is a sliver of truth to it if you suppose that the Nazis were Christians. Then there is always the slam dunk reference by Christians to Jews as being the “Christ killers.”

    Anyway, this guy Seth was a pretty magnificent bigot finder and hypocrite finder. I think to make a philosophical statement about that I will expose a weakness or two of my own. One of my weaknesses is alcohol. So for a time I partook of the 12 step recovery movement. There is a good bit of anti-Christian disdain in those hallowed halls. Makes sense doesn’t it? I mean when we are drinking we don’t particularly want the influence of any that might disapprove.

    So there is hardly ever a meeting that goes by in which spirituality is not discussed and there is always the caveat included where we distance or distinguish ourselves from those pontificating and hypocritical Christians.

    I always got to scratching my head over that. I mean, one of our planks was “progress not perfection.” See we could say that and thereby preempt ourselves from ever being considered hypocritical.

    Sweet deal, eh?

    Anyway, I could try to wrap this back to the Seth analysis, it was kind of the same thing. Here was a guy who knew what hypocrites and bigots looked like, but he could never be subject to his own criticism because… he had no moral aspirations. His only aspiration was to disregard or discard any moral principle.

    Am I building this right? Christians can have a moral aspiration and then fall short. Heh, like me resolving to never drink again. Comrade Seth sees me going into a bar or a liquor store and uh, using “Jew” as a pejorative and kowabunga! Lookee here! A bigot and a hypocrite!

    Conversely what? In the name of tolerance (“love and tolerance is our code”) we find ourselves obligated to accept every unsavory or sordid behavior. Homosexuality, abortion, promiscuity, drunkenness (“oh, it is a disease”) and so on.

    I could support with examples, all of this. So could you, so I won’t.

    But the Seths and the Mikey Weinsteins of the world will never consider themselves subject to their own damn criticisms.

    Because well, they are morally superior … because they have discarded morality.

    Liberal scholarship is so warped and so biased and so profoundly dishonest it is unreal. Because they are pretty much all like Meg Lanker. We can go back to a guy named Andrew Dickson White, the founder and first president of Cornell University, to see liberalism and rabid dishonesty in action. This is the guy who wrote a profoundly influential work titled, “A History of the Warfare of Science with Theology in Christendom.” There are many accounts damning Christianity which many liberals continue to believe to this very day. The problem is that they are lies from a liar. Modern historians of science today dismiss the book as nothing short of a warped polemic from an ideologue. White – confronted with the numerous falsehoods in the book – “admitted that he wrote the book to get even with Christian critics of his plans for Cornell” [documented in Rodney Stark, ForTthe Glory of God: How Monotheism Led to Reformations, Science, Witch-Hunts, And The End Of Slavery,” page 123]. Basically, confronted with the two options that he was either a) a liar and a bigot or b) an ignorant historian and crappy scholar, White admitted he was a liar and a bigot.

    I completely agree with your designation of “JINO” (Jew In Name Only). And the people I have the most naked contempt for are CHRISTIANS in name only. Because those who falsely infiltrate and undermine from within are ALWAYS the most dishonest and most dangerous people. Alinsky was a wicked, depraved, dishonest man who literally exalted in the fact that his side had no ethics and no morals and therefore could do ANYTHING to lie or distort or cheat while he could force Christians with their superior morality into corner after corner.

    I also agree that when you state, “Christians can have a moral aspiration and then fall short,” you most definitely “build it right.” Here’s the amazing thing: according to liberals, people who have traditional moral values and then fail to perfectly live up to them are bad people. But people who piss on ALL moral values and live like cockroaches are good people.

    As an example, Obama’s mentor Saul Alinsky – who actually dedicated his book “Rules for Radicals” to THE DEVIL – told liberals to “make the enemy live up to their own book of rules.”

    It is interesting that the American political left and the Jihadist Muslim terrorists are on the same page there: they can do whatever they want: including deliberately murder women and children. But America is an evil nation.

    Another fwiw is the fact that anyone can read my blog to see that true believers in Jesus Christ passionately love Jews. I have provided the reasons why we do so at length in article after article.

    The WORST PEOPLE ON EARTH qualify for that term. People who use the name of Jesus to justify evil are demonic and will one day burn in the lowest possible level of hell.

    If you love your nation, the worst possible threat is a fifth column that attacks and undermines from within. The same is true if you love your religion/faith.

    I regularly read in my paper some pastor, today’s was United Methodist, claiming acceptance of homosexuality and the necessity of accepting same sex marriage.

    He claims that,

    “Our religious principles are grounded in a love and acceptance of all people, and we believe deeply that means embracing marriage between same-sex couples.”

    He goes on to say,

    “Our religious principles are grounded in a love and acceptance of all people, and we believe deeply that means embracing marriage between same-sex couples.”

    Pretty weird eh? Somehow I was brought up to believe that the Savior died for the forgiveness of sin. Now we got endorsement and acceptance trumping all of that. I think that preacher is desperate for congregants and a fuller collection plate.

    I don’t know. I go to the gym you go to the gym, tell me if this is weird. I do intense cardio and usually get thoroughly sweat soaked. I don’t like taking a shower at the gym. It is a blue gym in a blue state, so we know what kind of people we are talking about. I don’t guess it is like a prison where I have to worry about getting bent over the sink. But still there is this patina of creepiness. I don’t shower at the blue gym. They think I am weird.

    I used to go to a church called “Religious Science.” Not to be confused with Scientology. There was a guy there, a 40 something. He had a catamite that was like 16 or so. I got to talking to the “old” guy one time. He told me that he was brought into the “fold” by older brothers when he was pretty young. I thought I detected a hint of remorse or recrimination or something in his tone. I suggested that maybe he should consider “breaking the cycle.” He didn’t much appreciate the suggestion. I got kicked out of that church.

    My “religious principles” are grounded in the teachings of Jesus and His apostles as recorded in God’s Holy Word, the Bible.

    Any OTHER “religious principles” that are NOT so grounded are demonic. And the WORST lies in history invariably have just enough pleasing-sounding truth in them to make the demonic lie easier to swallow.

    Paul wrote:

    “For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.” — 2 Corinthians 11:5

    The New Living Translation provides the clearest sense of what St. Paul was getting at:

    “You happily put up with whatever anyone tells you, even if they preach a different Jesus than the one we preach, or a different kind of Spirit than the one you received, or a different kind of gospel than the one you believed.”

    This turd who calls himself a “Christian” is the worst of these liars who preach “a different Jesus” and “a different kind of gospel.” He will be in the very hottest point in hell for leading his flock into hell with him.

    The New Testament confirms what the Old Testament clearly revealed: that homosexuality is an abomination of both Nature and Nature’s God. And for these wicked false teachers to come along and claim that they know better than God even as they falsely profess to follow God’s teaching qualifies them for aforementioned lowest level of hell.

    If in fact “the Savior died for the forgiveness of sin,” that clearly and definitively proves that there is something called “sin” that was so awful that the Savior had to literally die to win our forgiveness. The Bible is the ONLY source of authority to tell us what that “sin” is and how and through whom God forgives us.

    In your suspicion of this United Methodist “pastor” as only caring about filling his collection plate, St. Paul can confirm it for you:

    “For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.” — 2 Timothy 4:3

    For the record, in these the very last days before the beast, in these the days of false messiah Obama, that time has definitely come.

    As for me, I stand and I will fall upon the Word of God. And I will allow no one to teach that which flat-out contradicts it as coming from any other source but hell.

    While I certainly see what you’re trying to say and very definitely agree with you that yes, every Christian should stand up and start shouting the name of Jesus at the top of our lungs right about now, I have to point out that Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin were nothing more than little punks with a hateful message, too.

    Right now the little mouse Weinstein speaks with the voice of Obama. Their view is governing America.

    And the world is just about to worship the beast and take his mark on their right hands, or on their foreheads.
