Beautiful Lyrics: Hope Has Hands

I had some of these lyrics read to me as poetry and discovered a beautiful song about the Lord Jesus:

Hope Has Hands by the Hoppers

In search of a child they travel so far
Led by a star to a place of joy
Now the wise men tell a beautiful story
Describing the glory of a baby boy

Hope has hands
Freedom has feet
Truth will stand
The Word will speak
The holy and lowly will finally embrace
For love has a heartbeat
And grace has a face

Compassion has a tear
Joy has a laughter
And here ever after peace has a smile
Redemption’s blood has veins to flow in
A temple to glow in
Light is a child

Hope has hands
Freedom has feet
Truth will stand
the world will sleep
The holy and lowly will finally embrace
For love has a heartbeat
And grace has a face

The holy and lowly will finally embrace
For love has a heartbeat
Love has a heartbeat
And grace has a face
Amen.  Grace has a face.  And that face belongs to Jesus.

One of the things that often occurs to me is the beauty of Christianity.  Hymns that glorify Christ and “Christ figure” themes that dominate music and literature abound.  Where, in miserable contrast, is the great music celebrating the wondrous joy of atheism?

  1. Kathy Says:

And by the Holy Spirit, God continues through Christian’s hands to reach the world. By giving to those in need, holding an elderly persons hand who hasn’t had a heart felt touch in sometime, speaking out in Truth even though it isn’t the popular thing to do and looking into the eyes of the people we encounter each day, to see them as God sees them.
Hope does have hands and the Holy and lowly do/can embrace (one soul at a time).
And love has a heartbeat and Grace has a face…in every Christian.
That is what God through His son Jesus came here to show us to do.
My life has been truly touched through this song.

    Awesome, Kathy!

It’s the little things we do that often have the most impact, I have found. Many times I have said something in passing to someone who later – sometimes MONTHS later – told me that my words had in some cases literally saved their lives. And I didn’t even remember saying it! I suppose it is in those times that we’re not “thinking” that the Holy Spirit is most free to move through us when we’re encountered by someone with a need that we could never meet on our own intellectual resources. I say that because frankly, I forgot I posted that song lyric!!!

Bless you, Kathy. Maybe the Lord had me put that song up just for YOU!!! Because God loves you enough to move one of His people to bless His one of His people!!!

    Merry Christmas,
    Michael
