Why Do Big-Government Liberals And No-Government Anarchists Riot At the Same Riots? They Want The SAME Thing

I had a realization of why big-government liberals and no-government anarchists would be in the same camp (as they clearly are).

Liberals have been calling Republicans “anarchists.”  It doesn’t matter that we very clearly AREN’T.  I mean, which party supports a federal government going to war???  Is it the damn DEMOCRAT Party?  Nope.  Which party represents law and order and which one has been sending rioters to Ferguson, Missouri to protest a cop having the right to shoot a thug strong arm robber?  Yep, it sure aint Republicans.

The “Republican anarchists” crap is a myth from the Party of LIARS.

Republicans are all for government.  They just want that government to be limited to the proper role as described in the Constitution.  We’re the ones who favor a strong military because a strong military is one of the relative FEW things that the Constitution approves of federal government doing in “providing for a common defense.”  We know that a strong military serves as a deterrent to foreign aggression such as we are beginning to experience now at the hands of Russia, China, North Korea and Islamic State.  We know that maintaining a strong military generates allies – the kind we are losing by the SCORES right now under Obama’s immoral policies.  We also support a strong police to deter crime.  And as our ability to arrest, prosecute and incarcerate and put to death criminals deteriorates, guess what happens every time: a skyrocketing surge in crime.  We also as Republican conservatives believe that government should be strong enough to maintain a level playing field but weak enough to not be able to tip the scale to favor one chosen side over the other.  The result of that policy would be lower taxes, less regulation, less bureaucracy and more JOBS.

We want government.  We just don’t want the State that replaces God and thinks it has the right to dominate everything.  Because our founding fathers actually fought a damn REVOLUTION to separate themselves from a British state that was NOWHERE NEAR as thuggish and dictatorial as the one we’re in now.

But here liberals are, labeling Republicans as “anarchists.”

Harry Reid, the Senate Majority Leader, one of THE most important Democrats in the nation, called Republicans “anarchists.”

Elizabeth Warren, the woman the left wants to run for president for 2016, called Republicans “anarchists.”

Let’s take a moment to examine the leftists own argument as they try to make a nonexistent connection between Republicans and anarchists:

In 2011, Timothy Egan wrote a blog post for the Opinionator, the New York Times’ regular online opinion mill. He described his experience at the 1999 World Trade Organization summit in Seattle. He described the window-smashing, understood by anarchists as being purely symbolic and a venting of frustration against multinational corporations who exploit workers at home and abroad, as a manifestation of the nihilistic spirit of all anarchists everywhere. “[It] seems to have found a home: in the Republican Party,” he wrote.

Yeah, let’s go back to Ferguson, Missouri.  WHO is smashing windows and whining about the exploitation of workers???  I mean, seriously, you actually think it’s REPUBLICANS???

Let’s replay who was involved in those Seattle World Trade Organization riots:

Organizations and planning[edit]

Planning for the demonstrations began months in advance and included local, national, and international organizations. Among the most notable participants were national and international NGOs (especially those concerned with labor issues, the environment, and consumer protection), labor unions (including the AFL-CIO), student groups, religiously-based groups (Jubilee 2000), and anarchists (some of whom formed a black bloc).^[2]

The coalition was loose, with some opponent groups focused on opposition to WTO policies (especially those related to free trade), with others motivated by pro-labor, anti-capitalist, or environmental agendas. Many of the NGOs represented at the protests came with credentials to participate in the official meetings, while also planning various educational and press events. The AFL-CIO, with cooperation from its member unions, organized a large permitted rally and march from Seattle Center to downtown.

However, others were more interested in taking direct action including both civil disobedience and acts of vandalism and property destruction to disrupt the meeting. Several groups were loosely organized together under the Direct Action Network (DAN), with a plan to disrupt the meetings by blocking streets and intersections downtown to prevent delegates from reaching the Washington State Convention and Trade Center, where the meeting was to be held. The black bloc was not affiliated with DAN, but was responding to the original call for autonomous resistance actions on November 30 issued by People’s Global Action.^[3]

Of the different coalitions that aligned in protest were the “teamsters and turtles” – a blue-green alliance consisting of the teamsters (trade unions) and environmentalists.^[4][5][6]

Corporations targeted[edit]

Certain activists, including locals and an additional group of anarchists from Eugene, Oregon^[7] (where they had gathered that summer for a music festival),^[8] advocated more confrontational tactics, and planned and conducted deliberate vandalism of corporate properties in downtown Seattle. In a subsequent communique, they listed the particular corporations targeted, which they considered to have committed corporate crime.

EVERY SINGLE THING mentioned in those paragraphs above – every single group and every single tactic – are leftist and come from the LEFT.  EVERY SINGLE ONE.

Republicans favor laissez-fair free trade and free markets.  We’re also told every damn day that WE’RE the pro-big corporation party.  REPUBLICANS WERE NOT RIOTING.  LIBERALS WERE.

But being liberals, they are pathologically dishonest lying hypocrites without shame, without honesty, without integrity, without virtue and without honor.

So why would anarchists who hate government and liberals who love government be completely on the same side?

Because they both want the same damn thing, that’s why.

I’ve been pointing this out over and over again on my blog.  Big government liberalism is crony capitalism, where liberals get to decide who wins and who loses, who gets taxed and who gets tax breaks, who gets their wealth seized and who receives the redistribution of wealth, who gets fat union contracts and benefits and who gets stuck with the bill for those fat union contracts and benefits.

Liberalism is nothing short of a massive plan to benefit the rich – THEIR rich, mind you – by stealing from everybody else.

Hollywood liberals are THE most likely people to say taxes ought to be higher on everybody while demanding and receiving from the massive Democrat majority in California special tax breaks.  It’s just who these hypocrites are, pure and simple.

In my own incredibly dysfunctional city, I have been crushed and saddened by the election of liberals to dominate the city council.  I wanted to cry the last election.

So I’m talking with the owner of my gym.  She points out that the city nailed her with a big fee to put rocks in the front of her gym.  She was able to document that the police department didn’t have those rocks in the same sort of area; the fire department didn’t have rocks in the same exact sort of area.  It didn’t matter, the liberals of the city council said; it was “the cost of doing business.”  We get to decide who wins and who loses, and guess what: we decided that you lose.

So a big developer comes in and wants to build a complex.  And anchoring the complex is a huge gym.  And guess what: the same damn city council that nickeled and dimed the small biz gym is all of a sudden waving huge development and impact costs for this developer.

And the small gym owner is pointing out to me, “Who is going to get stuck with those costs?  I am.  And meanwhile they wouldn’t cut me so much as ONE INCH of slack over even the most TRIVIAL costs.”

Ah, liberalism.  Where whites lose and minorities win.  Where men lose and women win.  Where Christians lose and homosexuals win.  Democrats pit races, classes, genders and ages and win a majority by 50 percent plus ONE.  And then it’s “and punish our enemies and reward our friends” time:

Well, what does that have in common wit h anarchists and no government at ALL?

Because the same people who choose who wins and who loses with big government and crush and oppress the rest of us are the same people who would hire thugs and crush the rest of us if there were no government at all, that’s what.  What does the law mean?  Well, we’ve seen that now under Obama and his lawthug Eric Holder.  We’ve SEEN it in the liberals on the Supreme Court: it means whatever the left SAYS it means.

You’ve got your Western movie plot: a bunch of small government conservatives are living in a small town running their little businesses and all of a sudden some rich and powerful slimebag comes in with all his hired guns and seizes control and runs everybody who doesn’t knuckle under to him out.  And to the extent that there’s any law, they BUY the law and its THEM wearing the damn badges.  That’s what these people do when there’s no government and that’s what these people do when government gets huge enough to pick all the winners and the losers.

Big-government liberals or no-government anarchists: either way, it’s just a different means toward the same end, it’s just a different way to give total power to the SAME people, is all.

A Response To Obama’s Whining About The Right Being Unfair Over Gulf Disaster

Without ado, here’s what Obama said the other day about conservatives and tea party people over his inability to get squat done about the Gulf of Mexico disaster:

“Some of the same folks who have been hollering and saying ‘do something’ are the same folks who, just two or three months ago, were suggesting that government needs to stop doing so much,” Obama said. “Some of the same people who are saying the president needs to show leadership and solve this problem are some of the same folks who, just a few months ago, were saying this guy is trying to engineer a takeover of our society through the federal government that is going to restrict our freedoms.”

On Obama’s blatantly false portrayal, conservatives think “government is inherently bad.”

Obama’s charge simply rests entirely upon his demagoguery.  Essentially his implicit claim is that conservatives are anarchists who want no government whatsoever.  We want gangs of hoodlums ranging the streets.  We want looting and mayhem.  We want a complete and total destruction of government, such that every man does what is right in his own eyes – or dies trying.

With all due respect (which amounts to none at all), bull crap.  Anarchists are on the side of the left, not the right.  Just as virtually every single terrible political philosophy that has ever existed have been on the side of the left, not the right.

Obama’s conclusion that if someone wants the government to do anything at all, he must therefore necessarily want everything that Obama is doing to massively increase the size of the government bureaucracy is so ridiculously stupid it is frankly hard to believe he’d make such an argument.

“If you want any government action at all, you must want want Big Brother.”  I mean, please get real.

I can’t help but wonder if mega-government types like Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin described their enemies in the same terms.  The charge would have been no more valid for them than it is for Obama.  They, too, were proponents of huge government who were warring with those who favored less intrusive government.  The argument would have been no more valid for these two leftist socialist tyrants than it is for Obama.

Furthermore, the right is doing nothing more than holding you to the same standard of blame that you personally helped heap on George Bush over Katrina five years ago.  If you don’t like being hit with stones, you shouldn’t have started throwing them.  Bottom line.

What conservatives and tea party activists want and always have wanted is responsible, limited government.  We want the kind of government that is described in the American Constitution, rather than the Constitution of the U.S.S.R.

You’re right, Obama.  We DON’T want you “trying to engineer a takeover of our society through the federal government” as you’ve been trying to do from your first day in office.  What we DO want – in your own words – is for you to “plug the damn hole.”  And unless I’m somehow very mistaken, the two things are clearly not the same, are they???

Am I the only one who thinks that “ObamaCare” and “plug the damn hole” are different?

I can tell you one of the things I most certainly DON’T want my government to do: whine.

So when are you going to stop whining and actually DO YOUR DAMN JOB, Obama???

And if you’re going to kick someone’s ass over this most disgraceful response that demonstrates a fundamental lack of leadership, why don’t you start with your very OWN???

You made so many pathologically narcissistic promises it defies comprehension.  You boasted that you were going to be the guy whose election would mark the day “when the rise of the oceans began to slow and the planet began to heal.”  Are we just supposed to somehow not notice that you’ve turned the oceans black instead?

You were also the guy who promised that you would keep unemployment from rising over 8% if we enacted your massive porkulus that has completely failed.  You were also the guy who promised that you could win Iran over and get them to halt their nuclear weapons program through your policy of what always amounted to appeasement.  You were also the guy who promised that you would do a bang-up job winning the war in Afghanistan after demonizing your predecessor’s far more successful efforts.

And now you whine and whine when someone asks the legitimate question, “How’s all your over-the-top bullshit working out?”

You cry about people blaming you even as you systematically blame people who don’t have anywhere NEAR the blame that you have for this mess.  YOU’RE the one who took more BP money than anyone else.  YOU’RE the one who granted the permit for the drilling platform that exploded.  YOU’RE the one who granted a bunch of environmental waivers for that platform before it exploded.  YOU’RE the one who dithered for more than two weeks while a massive crisis unfolded.  YOU’RE the one who didn’t employ the procedure that has been on the books since 1994.  YOU’RE the one who has completely failed to do a damn meaningful thing at every single turn.

If you really want to blame somebody else, Mr. Obama, why don’t you blame the millions of abject fools who elected you when it should have been obvious to anyone with more than two functioning brain cells that you were clearly not up to the job???

At the very least, you’d finally be blaming the right people for a change.

When America Goes To Hell, Rest Assured It Will Be Leftists Resorting To Violence, Too

Let’s see.  Union workers, students, anarchists.  Liberals, liberals, liberals.  Check, check, check.

You should seriously pay attention to what’s happening in Greece, because it’s coming here next.  And the same leftists that are rioting there will be rioting here.  Because that’s just the kind of vermin that leftists are, quite frankly.

The only difference is that there will be no EU to bail us out.  When Obama’s massive debts implode us, there will be no one to save us.

Europe Crisis Deepens as Chaos Grips Greece

Demonstrators smashed shop windows, overturned garbage bins and set fire to at least two businesses.

ATHENS—Greece’s fiscal crisis took a new turn to violence Wednesday when three people died in a firebomb attack amid a paralyzing national strike, while governments from Spain to the U.S. took steps to prevent the widening financial damage from hitting their own economies.

U.S. Treasury officials have been quietly urging their European and International Monetary Fund counterparts to put together a Greek rescue plan more quickly to contain the damage, it emerged Wednesday, as U.S. policy makers worry the continent’s problems could undermine a U.S. recovery much as U.S. housing woes hammered Europe in 2008.

In Spain, rival political leaders came together Wednesday with an agreement that aims to shore up shaky savings banks by the end of next month. Banks in France and Germany, which are among Greece’s top creditors, pledged to support a Greek bailout by continuing to lend to the country. Investors, meanwhile, are pouring money into bonds of countries seen as less exposed to the crisis, from Russia to Egypt.

Anxiety over the euro-zone economies sent the euro down to about 1.29 to the dollar, its lowest level in more than a year. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell for the second straight day, losing 58.65 points, or 0.54%, to close at 10868.12.

Greece’s 24-hour nationwide general strike brought much of the country to a standstill, closing government offices and halting flights, trains and ferries.

At the same time, tens of thousands of protesters marched through Athens in the largest and most violent protests since the country’s budget crisis began last fall. Angry youths rampaged through the center of Athens, torching several businesses and vehicles and smashing shop windows. Protesters and police clashed in front of parliament and fought running street battles around the city.

Witnesses said hooded protesters smashed the front window of Marfin Bank in central Athens and hurled a Molotov cocktail inside. The three victims died from asphyxiation from smoke inhalation, the Athens coroner’s office said. Four others were seriously injured there, fire department officials said.
Europe’s Debt Crisis

A police spokesman said eight fires in Athens office buildings and bank buildings had been brought under control.

Later Wednesday, black smoke billowed from fires on one of Athens’s main shopping streets. Glass shards and smoldering garbage littered the sidewalks.

Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou condemned the violence. “Everyone has the right to protest,” he said in a statement to parliament. “But no one has the right to violence and especially violence that leads to the death of our compatriots.”

Wednesday’s protests were sparked by Greece’s weekend agreement to adopt austerity measures in exchange for a €110 billion ($143 billion) bailout loan from the European Union and the IMF. Unions challenged Greece’s parliament, which could consider the measures as soon as Thursday, to vote them down.

The general strike marks the broadest challenge to date to the government of Mr. Papandreou, which is pressed to pass the austerity legislation to unlock bailout funds to meet a debt payment later this month that it otherwise couldn’t meet.

The protests also brought out many Greeks who were resigned to belt-tightening. Their unhappiness at the cuts was matched with rancor toward a generation of politicians who they say spurred the crisis with decades of corruption, kickbacks and accounting legerdemain aimed at obscuring to the EU the true level of Greece’s annual deficits.

“For 30 years the Greek people have been held hostage,” said Periandros Athanassakis, 48, a garbage collector in Piraeus, the port near Athens. “Those who stole the money should pay.”

Some officials saw in Wednesday’s protests the seeds of broader discontent. “We may have an uprising in the making,” one senior Greek official said.

Greeks generally don’t blame Mr. Papandreou for the country’s problems, however, saying he inherited them from predecessors. It was his administration, elected in October, that announced the government’s budget deficit for 2009 would be equivalent around 13% of gross domestic product, compared with the 6% claimed by the previous administration.

Mr. Papandreou’s approval ratings are higher than those of the leader of the main opposition party.

Analysts also said the shock of Wednesday’s deaths could nudge Greece’s fractious political parties toward closer cooperation in dealing with the crisis and making it easier to pass reforms.

“This changes the political scene,” said George Sefertzis, an independent political commentator with the Athens consultancy Evresis. “There is no doubt that the deaths ease some of the political pressure.”

Under terms of the bailout deal, Greece’s government has announced a €30 billion package that will slash public-sector wages, cut pensions, freeze public- and private-sector pay, liberalize Greece’s labor laws and raise some taxes.

In Berlin on Wednesday, Chancellor Angela Merkel called on parliament to approve Germany’s contribution of €22.4 billion in loans to Greece. German public opinion opposes a Greek bailout but Ms. Merkel said it was essential. “Europe stands at a crossroad,” she said. “With us, with Germany, there can and will be a decision which lives up to the political, historical situation.”

In Greece’s northern city of Thessaloniki, there were reports of violence as police clashed with demonstrators who were attacking shop fronts amid a rally that drew at least 20,000 protesters to the streets.

Police officials estimated there were 20,000 protesters in Athens. Union officials said union-affiliated protesters alone totaled more than 60,000. Others put the number higher still. “This rally was double the size of the largest rally that has ever been held in Greece,” said Spyros Papaspyros, president of Adedy, a civil-service umbrella union. “If the government doesn’t listen, there will be more strike action next week.”

The day’s general strike, the year’s third, shut ministries and public offices. State hospitals and public utilities operated with skeleton staff. Shopkeepers joined the strike at midday, while journalists, bank workers, teachers, court workers, lawyers and doctors also walked off the job.

Many Greeks taking part in the demonstration saw little alternative than to accept the government measures and brace for a long, deep recession.

“I don’t expect the measures to be withdrawn,” said Pericles Papapetrou, 61, an architect and engineer who used to be mayor of the town of Elefsina. But, he said, the measures “could lead to extreme situations, such as an increase in crime, and also to an explosion of young people with no future.”

Artemis Batzak Panayou, a cleaning lady working for a local government, saw her €1,200 monthly salary, on which she supports three children, cut by €250 at the beginning of the year. She believes it will fall further. “There is no way to survive on the daily wages in the public sector,” she said, adding: “Greece won’t be fixed until all the crooks are removed from government.”

Right now, as we speak, we’ve got union firefighters are quite likely burning down a rash of buildings to “protest” that they aren’t getting more benefits than the outrageous benefits they’re already getting.

We’ve certainly already seen outright violence erupting at anti-Arizona law protest events.  And the Arizona law isn’t even in effect yet.

You watch.  The actual violence has nearly always come from the left in this country.  And it will surely be the case again.

The other thing that was interesting today is that the primary reason for our massive stock slide (and the double-digit slide on six of the last seven trading days) is Greece.  And Greece is crashing because it is a liberal socialist economy that imploded due to the same policies Obama is trying to bring to our shores now.

Which is to say that what will happen soon in America is that America will fail due to liberalism, and then liberals will violently riot in the streets.
