As Obama Claims Republicans Ruined Economy, Consider Economy During LAST YEARS’ Martha’s Vineyard Vacation

One of the lies Obama told on his BS (because U weren’t in his Canadian-built bus, were you?) tour was that he’d fixed the economy, and then the Republicans came to power. 

Let’s burn that lie down right now. 

While Obama was happily hobnobbing with the super-rich at Martha’s Vineyard last August, I wrote up a list of all the things that were truly going to hell:

Obama’s having a grand old time because he doesn’t give a flying fart about the following facts that have gripped the country while he was gripping a golf club:

The mainstream media’s adjective of the day to summarize all of the above is “unexpected,” of course.

And my favorite headline while Obama was on vacation #6 (not hard give the competition) comes from Überlefty David Letterman:

All of these things were reported as occurring during one of Obama’s four golf outings on his sixth vacation so far just this year.

I didn’t realize that last year’s post on Obama’s Martha’s Vineyard vacation would come in handy to refute the massive Obama lies just before this year’s Martha’s Vineyard vacation.

Boy, Obama sure had the streets paved with gold last year before those nasty Republicans entered the scene, didn’t he?  Last August, you might recall, Obama had the White House, Nancy Pelosi owned the House of Representatives lock, stock and barrel and Harry Reid had a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate.  But of course Bush was to blame for everything back then, just like Republicans are to blame for everything now.

Since Barack Obama became president, the number of Americans on food stamps has increased by 43%.  But blame Bush.  And Republicans, of course.

As Barack Obama leaves on vacation to hob-nob with the millionaires, the man who isn’t bothering to get economic briefings on a daily basis is ignoring a world on the verge of meltdown over fears of a U.S. meltdown.

It is amazing how utterly jammed-packed with fecal matter Democrats are.  George Bush was to blame for everything because George Bush was president; but Barack Obama being president for nearly three years means he is absolutely not to be held responsible for anything.  Republicans are to be blamed for everything now because they control the House of Representatives, but the fact that Democrats had total control of both the House of Representatives AND the Senate from 2006 until 2010 – which strangely corresponds quite well to when everything started going to hell – means they aren’t responsible for anything.  Because Bush was president, and the president is responsible unless that president happens to be Barack Obama.  And of course you hold the Republicans responsible if they control the House because you don’t hold the Democrats responsible even if they control both the House and the Senate.

One might laugh at this mindset, but it is the mindset of your mainstream media news.

I leave you with the words of former NBC News president Michael Gartner about Barack Obama:

“I think people have a fondness for him and I don’t think people blame him for anything that’s wrong in this country, unless – I think the far-right of the Republican Party does, but I don’t think the moderates do and certainly the Democrats don’t.”

When this is the representative attitude of the mainstream media, you know that America has truly surpassed Joseph Goebbels in the field of propaganda.

For Liberals, ‘Productive’ Politics Equals FASCIST Politics

It’s interesting.

I came across this headline and subheading yesterday in the Los Angeles Times: “112th Congress is one of the least productive in years: Fervent partisanship and the standoff over the debt limit are partly to blame for lack of action in the Senate and House.”

I thought about the implications of that.  And the sheer moral stupidity.

Imagine my friends and I are running your family’s lives.  And I assure you, “Don’t worry.  Every single hour we’re going to come out with new laws and new regulations and new requirements for you.  Every hour, on the hour, we’ll make it so you’ve got to do something you haven’t been doing, or you’ve got to quit doing something that you have been doing, or else we’ll punish you.  Because, after all, we want to be productive.”

I can hear you liberals cheering now: “Yay!  Ya!  Someone else is going to take over my useless idiot life!  I don’t have to think or be responsible for myself any more!  Thank you, Big Brother!  Thank you!”

As for those of you with moral intelligence, you would be appalled.

But that’s exactly what “being productive” means to the Los Angeles Times and to the cockroach army of liberalism.

As for me, my usual thought is this: “All we need is one more stupid law.”

As of the last count I could find, the U.S. tax code had ballooned to 71,684 pages in length.  Now THAT is productivity!!!

Rush Limbaugh had the following to say in his radio program.  I want you to note that it’s the same exact liberal script being applied:

Democrat Policies Aim to Shut Down America’s Private Sector

RUSH: Minnesota state government is closed. The Minnesota state government shut down at midnight last night, the victim “of an ongoing dispute over taxes and spending between Democratic Gov. Mark Dayton and Republican legislative majorities. Talks fell apart well before the deadline, leaving state parks closed on the brink of the Fourth of July weekend.” Oh, the tears.  You see how this works? Evil Republicans, state parks are closed, the little kiddies don’t get to have their snow cones and the sleigh rides, oh, no, no Fourth of July, evil Republicans.

The AP says that the shutdown in Minnesota puts road projects at a standstill, forcing thousands of state worker layoffs, and, of course, all of which we’re supposed see as a taste of the horrors the nation will face if the federal debt ceiling is not raised by Congress. That’s how all of this works.  For the record the AP has already rewritten this article and they’ve given it a new headline. The first headline was: “Some Noticeable Casualties After Minnesota Shutdown.” The new headline: “Minnesota Shutdown Prompts Political Blame Game.” And naturally the blame falls on the Republicans.

But the whole purpose of this story is to set the stage for what will happen if we don’t raise the debt ceiling in the whole country. The whole federal government will shut down, oh, the horrors of it all. And again, note what the AP highlights here as the things that are gonna suffer: funding for the state zoo, the Capitol, child care assistance for the poor.  Meanwhile, critical functions like state troopers, prison guards, the courts and disaster responses will continue, which should give the Minnesota legislature a pretty good idea what can be safely cut. But the newly elected Democrat governor insists on defying the newly elected Republican majority. It’s historic, by the way, in Minnesota, in both houses, the Minnesota legislature, Governor Dayton would rather shut down that state than consider any spending cuts.

What he wants to do is raise taxes on all those rich people who make more than $180,000 a year, meaning just about every small business owner in the state. And as usual, the AP hopes that Republican moderates will come forward to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Never mind that a record 600 statehouse seats went from Democrat to Republican in the midterm election last November precisely because most people decided their taxed enough already. TEA: taxed enough already. You couldn’t have a greater contrast.  Virginia is one of the highest performing states in the country, a Republican governor. What do you have here in Minnesota? A Democrat governor says achievers in his state are not paying their fair share. A Democrat governor, a Democrat president have reached the same conclusion. Job creators should do with less. It’s gotta be tough living in a blue state if you experience success. You got a governor, you got a president reaching into your pocket.

If these guys get their way, America is Greece, only much, much bigger. But here’s the thing. The Minnesota government may have shut down, but Minnesota hasn’t. Minnesota has not shut down. The private sector is gonna be open for business. The private sector is going to be making sales, paying taxes. If you really want to shut down a state, have the private sector go on strike. That’s when a state shuts down. That’s when the tax revenues begin to shut off.  If you want to shut down a state, if you want to shut down a country, then you take direct aim at the producers and the achievers, and that’s what liberal Democrats are doing. Barack Obama and these blue state governors treat the private sector like indentured servants. They’re parasites. As if they won’t pick up and move and leave to avoid all these onerous taxes and regulations. Every tax increase is an incentive to relocate or move assets. Ask Amazon.com.

California said, “You know what, we’re gonna start demanding sales tax on anything Amazon sells in California.” Amazon said, “Okay, bye-bye, California.” Again, the dynamic reaction to an onerous policy. Now, what do the achievers get for paying more taxes at the state and federal level? What do they get?  The people who make the golden goose golden, what do they get? Food stamps, public sector union salaries, benefits, dues, and pensions that far exceed anything seen in the private sector. That’s what they end up paying for and people have had it. They don’t want anymore of it.

If you want the “productivity” of fascism, vote Democrat.  When Obama, Nancy Pelosi and the overwhelmingly Democrat House of Representatives and Harry Reid and the filibuster-proof Senate were marching in goose-step, we got ALL KINDS of productivity.  We got a stimulus costing Americans and their progeny $3.27 TRILLION that was promised to dramatically reduce unemployment.  2 1/2 years later, it is higher than it was (7.6%) when George Bush left office.  Oh, and they socialized 1/6th of the economy and brought it under “productive” government control.

And, yes, that naked fascist power grab is the quintessence of “productivity” to a liberal.

Until Obama is driven out of office as the disgrace he is, the best possible thing the American people can hope for is a government that can’t hurt us the way it already has.

Until then, “productivity” will be measured in terms of how many new food stamp recipients we’ve added.

1.  Almost all of the financial problems we see today are based on bad mortgage lending.  That would be lending money to people to buy homes who didn’t qualify for a loan.

2.  The Democrats, under Clinton, strengthened a government-created monster called the “Community Reinvestment Act” [first foisted upon the country under Jimmy Carter].  This law was then used by “activists” and “community organizers” …  to coerce lending institutions to make these bad loans … millions of them.

CBS Poll: Only 40% Approve Of Obama On Economy

Obama keeps talking about “moving forward.”  But only an increasingly shrinking minority of Americans want to go anywhere with him.

Economists have declared the economic recession over largely over, but most Americans don’t share their optimism, and they are increasingly blaming President Obama for their money woes.Mr. Obama’s approval rating on the economy has tumbled five percentage points from last month, according to a new CBS News poll, with just 40 percent of those polled expressing full confidence in his actions.

More than half of those questioned (54 percent) said they disapproved of Mr. Obama’s handling of the economy. Last month, 45 percent approved. The drop in approval has been seen mostly among independents, just 35 percent of whom now say they approve.

Three in four Americans think the effects of the recession will linger for another two years or more. Just 20 percent said they believed the recession’s aftereffects would continue to weigh on their lives and livelihoods for another year or less. The public is generally more pessimistic now than in February.

The national unemployment rate continues to hover just beneath the 10 percent mark, and it is estimated that many more Americans are underemployed – meaning they have given up looking for a full-time job, or are working fewer hours than they would like.

The poll shows widespread concern among Americans when it comes to employment. Seven in ten Americans rated the job market in their area “fair” or “very bad”; only a quarter of those polled described it as “good”.

There did appear to be some optimism that the job market would improve over the next year — but not a lot. While 28 percent said they expected the job market in their area to get better over the next year, twice as many — 56 percent — said it would likely remain the same. Another 14 percent predicted even fewer available jobs in the coming years.

This poll was conducted among a random sample of 966 adults nationwide, interviewed by telephone July 9-12, 2010. Phone numbers were dialed from random digit dial samples of both standard land-line and cell phones. The error due to sampling for results based on the entire sample could be plus or minus three percentage points. The error for subgroups is higher.

This poll release conforms to the Standards of Disclosure of the National Council on Public Polls.

Gee, Obama.  So much for your “summer of recovery.”  Got any other crap-sandwich assurances for us?

You can’t lie and weasel your way out of this one.  You’ve kept giving us “Are you going to trust me, or are you going to trust your lying eyes?” rhetoric.  And, well, we’re finally starting to open our eyes.

More than 70% of Americans say that the job market stinks in their area.  You promised us hopey-changey.  But more and more Americans are giving up even bothering to look for work in your Obamanomics nonsense.

As the job market in the United States continues to shrink more and more Americans are simply giving up hope. This is great news for the unemployment rate but for many jobless it leads to breadlines and homelessness.

The jobs are not coming back! The United States job market must add 125,000 new jobs each month just to keep up with young people entering the jobs market. For “recovery” to happen the United States would need to add closer to 250,000 jobs monthly. This is simply not going to happen. […]

The unemployment rate dropped from 9.7 percent to 9.5 percent, the lowest level since July 2009. But it fell because 652,000 people gave up on their job searches and left the labor force. People who are no longer looking for work aren’t counted as unemployed.

Even your very own Vice President is saying that you’re not going to do a damn thing to bring back the eight million jobs that have been lost, Barry Hussein:

Vice President Joe Biden gave a stark assessment of the economy today, telling an audience of supporters, “there’s no possibility to restore 8 million jobs lost in the Great Recession.”

Which is a pretty good way of realizing that your crappy policies are useless.  Why look for work when there’s “no possibility” to restore the lost jobs under Obama Hussein?

And, heck, more and more Americans (maybe after listening to all of your disgraceful apologies around the planet for how awful America has been) are just renouncing their U.S. citizenship altogether:

WASHINGTON — Amid mounting frustration over taxation and banking problems, small but growing numbers of overseas Americans are taking the weighty step of renouncing their citizenship.

“What we have seen is a substantial change in mentality among the overseas community in the past two years,” said Jackie Bugnion, director of American Citizens Abroad, an advocacy group based in Geneva. “Before, no one would dare mention to other Americans that they were even thinking of renouncing their U.S. nationality. Now, it is an openly discussed issue.”

I guess you’re going to have to redouble your already maximally demagogic rants blaming Republicans for everything.

The mainstream media propaganda depicted you as transcending the political divide and rising above petty politics, Barry Hussein.  But all you’ve gone is demonize and demagogue a now increasing majority of the American people.
