Obama Doesn’t Have Enough Experience To Deliver

September 12, 2008

The experience issue continues to be a problem for Barack Obama, according to polls:

The poll suggests that perceived inexperience is more of a problem at the top of the Democratic ticket than in the No. 2 spot for Republicans.

Eighty percent say McCain, with nearly three decades in Congress, has the right experience to be president. Just 46 percent say Obama, now in his fourth year in the Senate, is experienced enough. (more…)

Bill Clinton: Obama Has “Political Instincts of a Chicago Thug”

August 27, 2008

I don’t remember ever seeing this much overt bitterness between a party’s nominee for President and the past President of the same party. And this from the Great Messianic Uniter who will inspire all mortals with his inspirational (albeit hollow as an empty piggy bank) message of hope and change.

Bill Clinton gave Obama a nice little endorsement in his speech (and Bill Clinton always knew how to give speeches), but there was little doubt that he would say at the Convention what he’d been saying everywhere else.

Slick Willy may not have a lot of room to talk, but the fact is that the “candidate of hope and change” has some dead bodies in his closet.

Bill Clinton is still clearly outraged over the Obama’s allegation that Clinton “played the race card” by comparing the Obama campaign to Jesse Jackson’s. Clinton said, “They played the race card on me.”

It’s like we’ve been saying to your wife, Bill: welcome to the Republican Party. Obama played the race card on John McCain, too. It stinks having your party’s bag of cheap and dirty tricks opened up on you, doesn’t it?

Clinton also still hasn’t gotten over vote rigging he claimed he personally witnessed by the powerful Obama-endorsing Culinary Workers’ Union in Nevada.

All that said, the quote, “Bill Clinton believes the Democratic nominee, far from practicing a unifying, transformational brand of politics, has the political instincts of ‘a Chicago thug,'” is still quite a doozy, coming out the day of the Democratic Convention. (more…)

Bill Clinton Delivers a “Just Sayin'” Smackdown To Barack Obama

August 26, 2008

What’s red and gray and bitter all over?  Apparently, it’s still William Jefferson Clinton.

If “Candidate Y” aint John McCain, it’s got to be Marvin the Martian.  It sure aint political infant Barack Obama:

(CNN) – A senior advisor to Barack Obama said again Tuesday Bill Clinton would definitely stump for the Illinois senator in crucial swing states, as the former president again grabbed headlines with comments that seemed to suggest he was less-than-supportive of the presumptive Democratic nominee.

“Suppose you’re a voter, and you’ve got candidate X and candidate Y,” Bill Clinton said Tuesday at a Democratic event in Denver that featured his first public remarks since his wife Hillary Clinton was officially informed she would not be vice president.

“Candidate X agrees with you on everything, but you don’t think that candidate can deliver on anything at all. Candidate Y you agree with on about half the issues, but he can deliver. Which candidate are you going to vote for?” he asked – adding, after a pause: “This has nothing to do with what’s going on now.”

Sources told CNN this week that the former president was unhappy with his assigned speech topic for the convention, national security.

At a Tuesday briefing with senior officials from both the Clinton and Obama campaigns, a senior aide for the Illinois senator’s White House bid said that Bill Clinton would hit the trail for his wife’s primary season rival, and “is going to be very helpful in these battleground states.”

Bill Clinton will be on hand Tuesday evening as his wife Hillary addresses Democratic delegates on the second night of the party’s nominating convention.

The “messiah” might be able to walk on water, but that don’t get the bills paid, and it don’t get legislation passed.

Stay mad, Bill.  We like you that way!!!
