What Does God Damn America Look Like? It Looks Like A Housing Market Collapse, And Food, Fuel Prices Out Of Control

March 24, 2011

Well, in Barack Obama’s defense, he did promise us “change.”

For most Americans, homes are THE most important purchase and investment that they will ever make in thier lives.

And in “God damn America” – the God damn America that Democrats cursed this nation with by voting for Jeremiah Wright’s wicked disciple – that’s just gone along with the American Dream that Obama has despised his for at least his entire adult life.

We are now well into the third year of Obama’s presidency.  We are going on the third year of abject failure from a man whose only real experience had been in community agitating.

They have answers at all because they’re entire economic and moral philosophies are depraved and false.  All they have is blaming Bush.  Because Obama isn’t responsible for his presidency.  In fact, we should re-elect Obama so we can have another five plus years of abject failure that we can hold Bush responsible for.

If you’re not that stupid and that depraved, recognize that this was all very clearly seen by people who understood that Obama’s policies would not only fail but massively fail.

New home sales slowest in at least a half-century
DEREK KRAVITZDEREK KRAVITZ, AP Real Estate Writer

WASHINGTON (AP) — Home construction in the United States is all but coming to a halt.

Americans are on track to buy fewer new homes than in any year since the government began keeping data almost a half-century ago. Sales are now just half the pace of 1963 — even though there are 120 million more people in the United States now.

Here’s another reality in God damn America: food prices skyrocketing out of control.  That’s “change,” too.  From the LA Times:

On Wednesday, the U.S. Labor Department reported that wholesale food prices jumped 3.9% in February over January, the highest monthly increase in 37 years. Economists expect to see a similar uptick in what consumers are paying for food at retail when the Labor Department releases its consumer price index Thursday.

“Food prices have been rising a lot faster, because underlying costs have really shot up. You’re seeing some ingredients up 40%, 50%, 60% over last year,” said Ephraim Leibtag, a U.S. Department of Agriculture economist. “When you see wheat prices close to 80% up, that’s going to ripple out to the public.”

Then there’s the skyrocketing gasoline and fuel prices which are just crushing Americans.  Which, by the way, are likely to hit $5 a gallon before summer.  I hope you agree with Obama and Democrats that it’s better that your children suffer than that we harness our own massive oil potential.

Thanks, Barry Hussein.  We should all be chanting with your spiritual mentor for 23 years: “No, no, no!  Not God bless America!  God damn America!”

You wanted it.  You got it.

It’s a good thing we spent an entire year passing ObamaCare.  Because who really needs an economic base?  And so what if it’s profoundly unconstitutional?  And so what if the economy goes straight down to hell where one day Democrats will be spending eternity for murdering 53 million innocent human beings.

This is Obama’s God damn America.

Most Americans Finally Blaming The Most Irresponsible President In History

August 3, 2010

One could conclude – based on rhetoric alone – that George Bush never left office, and Obama never actually ascended to the presidency.

After all, according to the Obama narrative, only one man is responsible for anything these days.  And that man is George Bush.

Obama isn’t “responsible.”  He’s completely irresponsible.

Obama has never once taken the “The Buck Stops With George Bush” sign off of his desk.

Since we all know that the buck stops at the highest political office, and since we all know that Obama keeps passing the buck off to George Bush, we can therefore know that Obama really isn’t our president.  Whether he produces his damn birth certificate or not.  Given the fact that leadership is ultimately about taking responsibility, and Obama refuses to take any responsibility whatsoever, he’s clearly not the POTUS.  And since Bush is apparently STILL responsible for everything, he becomes our defacto president even nearly two years after actually leaving the office.

Well, Barry Hussein may never accept responsibility for the failure of his policies, but at least more Americans are finally saying that this is Barack Obama’s sucky economy, rather than agreeing with Obama that he had nothing to do with anything.

From Rasmussen:

48% Blame Obama for Bad Economy, 47% Blame Bush
Monday, August 02, 2010

For the first time since President Obama took office, voters see his policies as equally to blame with those of President George W. Bush for the country’s current economic problems.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 48% of Likely U.S. Voters now think Obama’s policies are to blame for the continuing bad economy, up three points from last month. Forty-seven percent (47%) say the recession that began under Bush is at fault.

With voters across the country expressing stronger belief that the economy is getting worse rather than better, these new findings spell potential bad news for Democratic candidates this fall. The president is already planning to limit his campaign appearances with candidates because of potential voter backlash.

In June and last October, 45% blamed Obama’s policies for the country’s ongoing economic woes, the previous high finding on this question. The number who blame Bush is down from 62% in May 2009 when Rasmussen Reports first began tracking the question regularly. Only 27% faulted Obama at that time.

As is often the case, Mainstream voters and the Political Class have wholly different viewpoints on this question. While 61% of Mainstream voters now blame Obama’s policies, 87% of the Political Class say the bad economy is due to the recession that began under Bush.

Fifty-five percent (55%) of men blame Obama’s policies for the current economic problems, while 52% of women think Bush is the cause.

Among voters not affiliated with either major party, Obama is now chiefly to blame by a 52% to 44% margin.

That last paragraph is particularly significant.  Independents OVERWHELMINGLY blame Obama over Bush for the worsening economy.

And if that news isn’t revealing enough, Gallup/USA Today just came out with a poll showing Obama at only 41% approval – the lowest of his presidency.  He’s now flirting with being in the 30s.

I don’t really care what Democrats think about Obama vs. Bush.  The Democrat Party can be rightly defined as the party of moral idiocy.  But we are finally seeing rank-and-file Americans who are not involved with political ideology looking at going on two years of failure and false demagoguery and coming to the correct conclusion about whom to hold responsible.

When the economy appeared to be improving, Obama starting talking about his “summer of economic recovery.”

From Politico:

Obama, Biden declare ‘Recovery Summer’
By MIKE ALLEN 6/17/10 5:06 AM EDT

Vice President Joe Biden today will kick off the Obama administration’s “Recovery Summer,” a six-week-long push designed to highlight the jobs accompanying a surge in stimulus-funded projects to improve highways, parks, drinking water and other public works.

David Axelrod, a senior adviser to the president, said: “This summer will be the most active Recovery Act season yet, with thousands of highly-visible road, bridge, water and other infrastructure projects breaking ground across the country, giving the American people a first-hand look at the Recovery Act in their own backyards and making it crystal clear what the cost would have been of doing nothing.”

But then we got all kinds of lousy economic news to rain turds all over Obama’s “Mission Accomplished” summer of recovery tour.

We got news like this:

Steep decline in GDP growth raises alarms
By Don Lee, Los Angeles Times
July 31, 2010

Reporting from Washington — U.S. economic growth slowed sharply in the spring, stoking concerns about a weak job market, a drawn-out struggle for the unemployed and growing financial pressures on millions of American families.

The nation’s gross domestic product grew at an annualized rate of 2.4% in the second quarter, falling from an upwardly revised 3.7% expansion in the first three months of the year, the Commerce Department said Friday.

While many economists had expected growth to moderate, the reported decline was a jolting 35% below the previous quarter. Gross domestic product is the value of all goods and services produced in the economy. […]

In the wake of Friday’s report, a number of economists downgraded their growth forecast for the second half of the year to as low as 1.5%, an anemic rate that would likely push the unemployment rate above June’s 9.5% figure.

Commerce officials also revised downward some prior growth figures for real GDP, which is the inflation-adjusted value of all goods and services produced in the U.S. The government Friday said real GDP grew 5% in the fourth quarter of 2009, down from a previously reported 5.6%.

Overall, the new data painted a picture of a deeper recession than previously believed.

Government spending and inventory adjustments have powered the economic recovery that began last summer, and they juiced up the second quarter as well. But economists expect tighter public spending, particularly by budget-strapped state and local governments, to be a drag on the economy in the coming quarters.

Many private economists projected that the unemployment rate would rise to 9.8% or higher by the end of the year
.

And today, we learned that housing prices were down, factory orders were down, and consumer spending was down.  As the LA Times put it:

U.S. consumers did not boost their spending in June and their incomes failed to increase, further evidence that the economic recovery slowed in the spring. And Americans saved at the highest rate in nearly a year.

Personal spending was unchanged in June, the Commerce Department reported Tuesday. It was the third straight month of lackluster consumer demand. Incomes were also flat, the weakest showing in nine months.

The disappointing report on spending and income was among a raft of data released Tuesday that confirmed the economy ended the April-to-June quarter on a weak note.

Factory orders dropped 1.2 percent in June to a seasonally adjusted $406.4 billion, the Commerce Department said. It was the second consecutive decline after nine straight months of gains. Lower demand for steel, construction machinery and aircraft dragged down the figure.

And the number of buyers who signed contracts to purchase homes fell in June. The National Association of Realtors says its seasonally adjusted index of sales agreements for previously occupied homes dipped 2.6 percent to a reading of 75.7. That was the lowest on records dating back to 2001 and down nearly 19 percent from the same month a year earlier.

Last week the government said economic growth for the second quarter slowed to 2.4 percent. Many analysts believe it will dip further in the second half of the year as high unemployment, shaky consumer confidence and renewed troubles in housing weigh on the year-old economic recovery.

What’s funniest of all – if anything is funny during a complete failure’s destruction of what had been the greatest nation in the history of the planet – is that Obama was literally still congratulating himself when the bad news came dumping down:

President Obama was in New Jersey yesterday killing time before his appearance on ‘The View’. So he stopped at Tastee Subs and held a small business summit, pushing for legislation to increase funding to the Small Business Administration. In between sound bytes on jobs and bites of Tastee’s super-sub special, more bad economic news came rolling Obama’s way.

And then all of a sudden the Obama administration is all, “Oh, crap! Stop looking at our “success”!  No!  Don’t look at our “recovery summer”!  We don’t want to take responsibility after all!  Start looking at Bush again!  He’s the only one who is actually RESPONSIBLE!”

So now – after Obama patted himself on the back and congratulated himself for his mission accomplished, all of a sudden we’re back to the “Bush recession.”

BIDEN LAMENTS ‘BUSH RECESSION’…. Vice President Biden appeared on NBC’s “Today” show earlier, and used a line I don’t recall leading White House officials using before, at least not lately.

Ann Curry noted that the administration has been blamed for high unemployment rates, and asked, “Has this administration done enough?”

Biden replied, “Let me put it this way: there’s never enough until we restore the 8 million jobs lost in the Bush Recession. Until that happens, it doesn’t matter. I mean, it matters, but it’s not enough.”

Which is to say that, according to the Obama administration, George Bush is to blame for all the jobs HE lost, PLUS all the jobs that OBAMA lost.  After going on two years in office, Obama still isn’t responsible for anything at all.  Oh, except for that brief period when it looked like maybe things were looking up and Obama could suddenly be “responsible”.

When Bush left office, unemployment was 7.6%.  Barry Hussein promised that his massive stimulus would save the day.  He assured the American people that he understood what was wrong, and that he had the solution.  His administration promised that if the stimulus (which started out at $787 billion, then got revised upward to $862 billion, but which will actually cost taxpayers $3.27 TRILLION) was passed, unemployment would not go over 8%.

From NPR:

President Obama is being forced to wade into a domestic economic debate that just won’t go away: As the unemployment rate rises, there have been calls for a second round of stimulus spending.

Obama is in a difficult position. He has to defend his $787 billion economic stimulus package at a time when there are few visible signs that it has had an effect. Unemployment is at 9.5 percent, even though the White House predicted in January that with the stimulus bill, it would rise to only about 8 percent.

And the LA Times article cites economists as now predicting that unemployment will rise to at least 9.8% – or higher.  Which for the record is a lot higher than 8%.

It’s not enough to say Obama was incompetent.  He lied.  He pitched himself as Mr. Wonderful, and utterly failed to live up to all of his false promises.

In October 2008 I wrote an article which quoted Chief Executive Magazine as follows:

In expressing their rejection of Senator Obama, some CEOs who responded to the survey went as far as to say that “some of his programs would bankrupt the country within three years, if implemented.” In fact, the poll highlights that Obama’s tax policies, which scored the lowest grade in the poll, are particularly unpopular among CEOs.

And I had cause to cite that article again recently, as Obama pursued the incredibly demagogic rhetoric that said we had to go forward with his “change” rather than backward.  Lest you don’t see the obvious flaw, allow me to point out that Germany went forward with Hitler’s “change,” too.  And then there was Stalin’s “change,” and Pol Pot’s “change,” and Castro’s “change,” etc.

To argue that moving forward to “change” is somehow intrinsically good is intrinsically stupid.  It is the very worst kind of moral idiocy.  And that “logic” has repeatedly justified the most evil outcomes in the history of the human race.

The CEOs – whom unlike the Obama administration actually understand something about business – have turned out to be right.  And Obama has turned out to be completely wrong.  Over and over and over again.

Obama pitched his entire campaign for presidency on “hope” to go along with his nebulous “change.”  Sadly, the American people didn’t understand that there isn’t and can be no hope in the progressive agenda of Barack Hussein.  There is only increasing government control over more and more of our lives.

It should terrify you that Obama is well on the way to the three-year plan toward bankruptcy that the CEO’s predicted of an Obama presidency.

Obama Revealed As Hypocrite And Failure In 2-Minute Youtube Ad

May 29, 2010

The National Republican Senatorial Committee blasts Obama with his own words demonizing Bush for his “halfhearted leadership” during the Katrina disaster, and then cites liberals such as Chris Matthews, James Carville, and others to point out what a disaster of a leader Obama has been before asking the question, “Is This The Change You Had In Mind?”

Well.  Is it?

Tiger Woods, Barack Obama, And Really Lousy ‘Change’

April 14, 2010

I didn’t link Tiger Woods and Barack Obama together.  Golf Digest did that for me:

In any event, another similarity between these two is that both promised “change” – and neither seem to be very good at keeping their promises.

An article about Tiger Wood’s repeated vulgar outbursts – in diametric contrast to his promises of “change”:

Jim Nantz criticizes Tiger Woods’ vocal tantrums
By Shane Bacon

Before the Masters started, Tiger Woods told us that he had changed. His outbursts would be quieted, his club tossing would be softened and he was going to be a different guy on the golf course.

No matter if you bought that or not, it’s true that the weekend brought out some of the old Tiger. He screamed “Tiger, you suck!,” only to follow that up with a profanity unlike any other in the third round. On Sunday on the 13th hole, Woods screamed “Jesus Christ!” after a tee shot and he wasn’t complimenting the man upstairs.

It wasn’t something new with Tiger, but it is something he told us would be avoiding in the future. Jim Nantz, the voice of CBS at the Masters, had a chance to talk with Mike Francesa of WFAN on Monday, and let it be known that he wasn’t happy with the way Woods acted.

“If I said what he said on the air, I would be fired. I read in the USA Today and it was called “mild language.” Someone on my broadcast dismissed it as him having a camera in his face. Well, guess what? Phil Mickelson had a camera in his face all week and did you even hear him come close to approaching that? He didn’t hit every shot the way he wanted. Have you ever heard Arnold Palmer or Jack Nicklaus use that kind of language? What are the parameters between what’s right or wrong?”

Nantz then admitted that this isn’t something that has disturbed him in the past, but the fact that Tiger promised us a change is why it rubbed him the wrong way. He mentioned that he doesn’t speak perfectly, but when the red light is on, he has things he cannot say.

[Video: See spoof of Phil’s feud with Tiger, featuring Elin.]

He also said that there are people watching the telecast that shouldn’t be subjected to such profanities.

“How about the father and son who are standing right there by the tee? How about the hundreds of people who are around that tee who hear that? How about the hundreds of letters I’ve gotten through the years from people who have been outraged at the language they’ve heard there and have written me and said, ‘Why don’t you guys ever say something about that?’ “

Nantz obviously has some great points here. If you’re going to cuss when the cameras are rolling over a live broadcast, that is one thing, but when you tell us you won’t and still do it, it sure makes you look bad. Especially for a guy trying to bulldoze his past image.

I’m reminded of someone else who promised us “change.”

Barack Obama has told many lies that simply fundamentally put to the lie Obama’s entire case for his presidency.  But here is his very worst lie of all, as summarized by the New York Times:

WASHINGTON — At the core of Senator Barack Obama’s presidential campaign is a promise that he can transcend the starkly red-and-blue politics of the last 15 years, end the partisan and ideological wars and build a new governing majority.

To achieve the change the country wants, he says, “we need a leader who can finally move beyond the divisive politics of Washington and bring Democrats, independents and Republicans together to get things done.”

But this promise leads, inevitably, to a question: Can such a majority be built and led by Mr. Obama, whose voting record was, by one ranking, the most liberal in the Senate last year?

I’ve got to say it: if Tiger’s wife, Elin Nordegren, actually believes Woods’ promises that “I’ve changed,” she will single-handedly do more to harm the image of blond women as intelligent than every single blond joke ever told.

I pointed out what a total lie Barack Obama’s core promise to the American people truly was.  Obama began to fearmonger, demagogue, and demonize from day one of his administration.  And a Pew Research poll underscored that fact: we find that Barack Obama is the most polarizing president in history.

There are many other major, massive lies from Obama.  His promise of game-changing transparency, for example, couldn’t have been a more dishonest lie.  Only yesterday, Obama offered yet another massive proof of just what a lie his claim about “transparency” is when he totally shut the press out of what was supposed to be a major global political event in a way that left much of the world’s press stunned.  Even the Chinese president was more open with the press than Obama.

Another fundamentally dishonest lie on the part of Barack Obama was his push for the use of the cynical and partisan political tactic of reconciliation to shove through his ObamaCare bill when he had specifically promised he would NOT do that.

Neither one of these men is credible.  Neither one of them deserve a scintilla of our respect.

The thing is that as bad as Tiger Woods was, as dishonest, and as cynical and manipulative as he proved himself to be, he doesn’t even hold a candle to the dishonesty of Barack Obama.

Did Obama Actually Claim Credit For Ahmadinejad’s Victory?

June 14, 2009

Barack Obama was asked a question about what he thought about what was going on with the Iranian election, and his answer was his usual precise, clear, and masterful exercise in eloquent oration:

“Uh, we are excited, uh, to see, uh, what appears to be a robust debate taking place in Iran.  And obviously after the speech, uh, that I made in Cairo, uh, we tried to send a clear message that, uh, we think there is the possibility of change, uhhh, aaaand — ehhh, yuh– oh —  Ultimately the election is for the Iranians to decide, but just a-as has been true in Lebanon, uh, what’s, uh — can be true in Iran as well is that you’re seeing, uh, people looking at new, uh, possibilities. And, uh, whoever ends up winning, uh, the election in Iran, the fact that there’s been a robust debate hopefully will help, uh, advance, uh, our ability to engage them in new ways.”

You can watch it for yourself.  And here’s a game you can play at home or in your cubicle:  see if I got all the various iterations of “uh” right.  It’s actually not easy to keep track of them with a man who seems to be more speaking in tongues than he is answering a question.

Which leads to one of those things that lets you know we are living in a true age of propaganda.  We have the media swooning over Obama as a masterful communicator when he routinely utters gibberish without a teleprompter to tell him what to say.  And this assessment from the same people who routinely mocked George Bush for his “teleprompter-less” utterings.  We have Maxim Magazine declaring that Michelle Obama is one of the “100 hottest women in the world” when she would have to be literally set on fire to make that list.

You begin to understand that liberalism is a disease that rots the visual and auditory areas of the brain, such that the sufferers of this terrible malady can only see and hear what their ideology compels them to see and hear.

Bet let us contemplate the substance of Obama’s near gibberish utterance:

Barack Obama, perennial narcissist that he truly is, couldn’t help but tie events in Iran with a speech he gave in Egypt.  What was happening in Iran simply had to ultimately be about Barack Obama.  Because, on his view, every single Iranian – some 40 million people – simply had to have watched him in a rapturous adoration that would surely emerge in the vote.

And they would obviously want some of Obama’s magic “change you can believe in.”

Well, “change you can believe in” is a nuclear weaponized Iran.  It means the re-election of a man who says the Holocaust didn’t happen, and who has called Israel a “disgraceful blot” that should be “wiped off the face of the earth.”

Was the election rigged, as many are wondering? That would present its own dilemmas for Obama.  And anyway, like our own election, it doesn’t really matter: Iran – whether the people or the mullahs – has made Mahmoud Ahmadinejad their president.  And for what it’s worth, the only “independent” pre-election poll taken 3 weeks prior to the election indicated that Ahmadinejad would win by a 2-1 margin, and even indicated that Ahmadinejad would even defeat Hussein Moussavi in his own hometown.

Anyway, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s hatred for Israel probably sounds very much like some good old home preaching, given what Obama’s Reverend, “spiritual adviser,” and “friend and mentor” for 23 years has been saying:

“Them Jews ain’t going to let him talk to me,” Wright told the Daily Press in Newport News, Va. “I told my baby daughter that he’ll talk to me in five years when he’s a lame duck, or in eight years when he’s out of office.”

That little antisemitic rambling was really only news because Wright said it the day before a deranged psycho tried to storm the Holocaust Museum and killed a guard before being gunned down himself.  But Barack Obama’s pastor has been saying stuff like that for a long time:

“[T]he Jewish vote, the A-I-P-A-C vote, that’s controlling him, that would not let him send representation to the Darfur Review Conference, that’s talking this craziness on this trip, cause they’re Zionists, they would not let him talk to someone who calls a spade what it is.”

And before that Wright spoke lovingly of Jews in his sermons:

“We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans and now we are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back into our own front yards. America’s chickens are coming home to roost.”

And:

“We supported Zionism shamelessly while ignoring the Palestinians and branding anybody who spoke out against it as being anti-Semitic. … We care nothing about human life if the end justifies the means. …”

With that, Obama may get along just fine with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.  Let’s just hope Obama doesn’t begin to think of Ahmadinejad as his “spiritual adviser” or “mentor” like he did with Jeremiah Wright.  Don’t forget that nature abhors a vacuum; and if Jeremiah Wright isn’t still Obama’s spiritual adviser, friend, and mentor, some other nutjob must surely rush in to fill the void.

It’s true that Obama left Jeremiah Wright’s church.  It’s also true that he left it 23 years too late to matter.

I wrote an article back in October of last year: “Jews And Americans Alike Need To Fear Obama Presidency.”

Jews in Israel have since gotten the message:  When George Bush was president, fully 88% of Israeli Jews believed the president was “pro-Israel”; today under Obama, only 31% of Israeli Jews think so.

Anyway, Obama gives a speech in Egypt, and – in a stumbling, bumbling, near-incoherent message – talked about the great speech the Teleprompter of the United States gave in Egypt.  Clearly, Obama believes that TOTUS’s speech changed the world.  But the re-election of nuclear-weapons-crazy and kill-all-the-Jews-mad Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is a rather clear signal that nothing of the sort happened.

Hey, I’ve got an idea.  With North Korea going more nuts than its ever been since 1950, maybe Obama can go to Seoul, South Korea, and give a speech there.  That’ll surely turn that mean ole’ Kim Jong-Il around!

Nancy Pelosi Promised Change, Too: Like Her “Change” So Far?

October 22, 2008

When Democrats swept into power two years ago, the new Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi offered all kinds of what hindsight reveal to have been absurd promises:

The election of 2006 was a call to change — not merely to change the control of Congress, but for a new direction for our country.

After years of historic deficits, this 110th Congress will commit itself to a higher standard: pay as you go, no new deficit spending. Our new America will provide unlimited opportunity for future generations, not burden them with mountains of debt.

What do you think of Nancy Pelosi’s “new America”?

In Nancy Pelosi’s “new America,” the stock price of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac – whose failure due to ridiculously poor congressional oversight precipitated the current financial meltdown – dropped 90% under the Democrats’ watch.

Under Nancy Pelosi’s “new America,” Rep. Barney Frank – who as Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee (and ranking member even when the Republicans held power) – said of Fannie and Freddie shortly (July 14, 2008) before their collapse:

I think this is a case where Fannie and Freddie are fundamentally sound, that they are not in danger of going under. They’re not the best investments these days from the long-term standpoint going back. I think they are in good shape going forward.

They’re in a housing market. I do think their prospects going forward are very solid. And in fact, we’re going to do some things that are going to improve them.

And Barney Frank – who led the Democrats’ efforts to resist ANY reform over Government Supported Enterprises Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac for the last 7 years – had been saying that Fannie and Freddie were fine and didn’t need regulation all along, as a statement from Frank in a  September 11, 2003 New York Times article proves:

”These two entities — Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac — are not facing any kind of financial crisis,” said Representative Barney Frank of Massachusetts, the ranking Democrat on the Financial Services Committee. ”The more people exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, the less we will see in terms of affordable housing.”

Barney Frank was complaining that Republicans were concerned about the health of GSEs Fannie and Freddie, which had a portfolio of $5.4 trillion in home loans – having massively expanded risky loans in support of Democrats’ Community Reinvestment Act – and wanted them to lay off their quest to regulate the industry which would have reduced the down-payment-free subprime loans to poor minorities.   Sadly, after failing for the third time in 2006 due to the promise of a Democratic filibuster, Republicans did just that.  By the time the Democrats took over Congress and decided they’d better do something, after all, it was too little, too late.  Just in case you want to know why your economy blew up.

The stock price of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac dropped 90% under the watch of Nancy Pelosi and Barney Frank.  And right before the collapse Barney Frank was STILL claiming that the stock was fine.

In Nancy Pelosi’s “new America,” Democrats make the same kinds of materially false statements about the viability of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac stock that Kenneth Lay said about Enron stock before its collapse.  The only difference is that Lay died in prison and Frank is free to keep on destroying our country while blaming Republicans for the mess he created.

Just so you know, it was Democrat policies under Democrat management that led to the risky loans that blew up our economy.

Under Nancy Pelosi’s “new America,” she promised to reduce the price of gasoline during her tenure, touting her “commonsense plan“:

“With record gas prices, record CEO pay packages, and record oil company profits, Speaker Hastert and the Majority Congress continue to give the American people empty rhetoric rather than join Democrats who are working to lower gas prices now.

“Democrats have a commonsense plan to help bring down skyrocketing gas prices by cracking down on price gouging, rolling back the billions of dollars in taxpayer subsidies, tax breaks and royalty relief given to big oil and gas companies, and increasing production of alternative fuels.”

But during the last two years while she was in charge, the price of a gallon of gasoline went from a little over $2 to nearly $5 while she and her fellow Democrats steadfastly refused to allow for any increase in domestic production.  When President Bush ended the executive ban against offshore oil drilling, the price of a barrel of oil immediately dropped dramatically, and continued to decline as investors became more confident that increased supplies would finally be on the way.  Ultimately, Democrats finally blinked on oil after decades of obstruction, after the price of oil immediately went down following President Bush’s ending the executive ban on offshore drilling.  But they are still determined to prevent any meaningful domestic oil production.  The price of oil is going to go back up when OPEC reduces its production to drive the prices back up.

In a story that came out just yesterday, OPEC is pushing for a production cut that will drive up oil prices.  Under Nancy Pelsosi’s “new America,” the United States won’t increase its own domestic production to keep prices low.

Under Nancy Pelosi’s “new America,” Democrats opposed the successful surge strategy and continued to oppose it even after it clearly turned the tide in the Iraq War.  Instead, they attempted to fulfill Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s gutless prediction “that this war is lost.”  In Nancy Pelosi’s “new America,” Democrats said of the prospect of American success, “Well, that would be a real big problem for us, no question about that.”  In Nancy Pelosi’s “new America,” the United States is a loser that trudges home in disgrace, not a winner that triumphantly departs having accomplished its mission to bring democracy to the heart of the Arab world.

You can mark my words that under Nancy Pelosi’s “new America,” Iran will develop nuclear weapons and will be free to foment global terrorism with impunity.

Under Nancy Pelosi’s “new America,” the approval rating of her Congress plummeted to its lowest level in history.  And for good reason.

If the voters decide they want more of Nancy Pelosi’s “new America” – and particularly if they want to give the people who screwed up our country total power by electing Barack Obama as President – the citizens of the United States frankly deserve whatever they get as a result.

If you don’t understand what Nancy Pelosi’s “new America” means by now, you probably never will.

Jews And Americans Alike Need To Fear Obama Presidency

October 14, 2008

You often don’t hear the truth about a politician from his or her own lips.  Politicians know how to cautiously craft their speech; they know how to distort, misrepresent, and flat-out lie.  No, you often have to get the truth about a politician secondhand.

At the first World Policy Forum held in Evian, France (Barack Obama loves world policy forums and has chided Americans for not being able to speak French), Jesse Jackson had this prophetic word for his hearers:

PREPARE for a new America: That’s the message that the Rev. Jesse Jackson conveyed to participants in the first World Policy Forum, held at this French lakeside resort last week.

He promised “fundamental changes” in US foreign policy – saying America must “heal wounds” it has caused to other nations, revive its alliances and apologize for the “arrogance of the Bush administration.”

The most important change would occur in the Middle East, where “decades of putting Israel’s interests first” would end.

Jackson believes that, although “Zionists who have controlled American policy for decades” remain strong, they’ll lose a great deal of their clout when Barack Obama enters the White House.

“Obama is about change,” Jackson told me in a wide-ranging conversation. “And the change that Obama promises is not limited to what we do in America itself. It is a change of the way America looks at the world and its place in it.”

Jackson warns that he isn’t an Obama confidant or adviser, “just a supporter.” But he adds that Obama has been “a neighbor or, better still, a member of the family.” Jackson’s son has been a close friend of Obama for years, and Jackson’s daughter went to school with Obama’s wife Michelle.

“We helped him start his career,” says Jackson. “And then we were always there to help him move ahead. He is the continuation of our struggle for justice not only for the black people but also for all those who have been wronged.”

In other words, the guy who has known Obama for years, known his family, and helped him get his start in politics says, “Be afraid, Jew: Obama is going to end your world in order to build a better one.”

France loves Obama.  But Jews shouldn’t  And Israelies certainly shouldn’t.  You can’t trust him on his stand for Israel.  He’ll say whatever he needs to say, and you won’t know what he really believes until he gets in power.  To Jews he said, “Jerusalem will remain the capital of Israel, and it must remain undivided.”  And then he turned right around and said to Arabs, “Well, obviously, it’s going to be up to the parties to negotiate a range of these issues. And Jerusalem will be part of those negotiations.”  You don’t know Barack Obama.  But Jesse Jackson sure knows him.

By the way, France willingly participated in helping the Nazis round up Jews to feed into their Holocaust death machine.  And it still has a great deal of Antisemitism to this day.

Last week I wrote an article titled, “Barack Obama Proclaimed As Messiah – The Beast Is Coming.”  I conclude in that article: “The United States isn’t mentioned in Bible prophecy.  Now we begin to see why: we wont’ matter because our economy will be in ruins.  And we certainly won’t be the kind of nation that will be willing to come to Israel’s aid against the beast when they need us most.”  Frankly, I didn’t realize that Barack Obama already had undeclared plans to undermine the Jewish state in order to advance his idea of a “new America” that will “fundamentally change its foreign policy” to “heal wounds” by cutting “Zionists” out of the picture.

Christians like myself view Jews as “God’s canary in the mine.”  How a nation treats the Jews demonstrates its moral condition.  As a nation blesses the Jews, God will bless that nation.  And as a nation curses the Jews, God will curse them (eg., Genesis 12:3).  But as I have already also written, Barack Obama would be President of God damn America.  So it doesn’t surprise me at all to learn from a key longtime Obama confidant that Barack Hussein Obama would pursue a policy that would damn America.

It was primarily American Jews – greatly assisted by American Christians who believed the Bible – who helped conceive and lay the groundwork for a Jewish state in the land that God gave to Abraham and his descendants as an eternal possession (Genesis 17:8).  The United States was the first nation to officially recognize the state of Israel.  And the United States has been a better friend of Israel and the Jew than any nation in the history of the world.  And the United States has been blessed as no other nation in the history of the world, I believe, as a direct result.

Barack Obama, the false messiah who would undermine this nation’s foundations and leave it a hollow shell by means of his disastrous policies, would sever that relationship of blessing and turn it unto divine cursing, according to a happy Jesse Jackson.

Let us not forget that Jeremiah Wright engaged in antisemitic rhetoric at Barack Obama’s church; and that Barack Obama’s Trinity United Church named vitriolic Antisemite Louis Farrakhan it’s Man of the Year; and that Barack Obama actually helped lead Louis Farrakhan’s Million Man March.  And then Louis Farrakhan in turn declares that Barack Obama is the messiah.

Campbell Brown wrote a commentary titled, “So what if Obama were a Muslim or an Arab?”  I wrote an article titled “Why Islamic Extremists Support Democrats And Obama” without mentioning either Obama’s race or religion.  With all due respects to Campbell Brown, if Barack Obama is elected President, we are going to very soon discover that worldviews matter.  And Frank Marshall Davis, Saul Alinsky, Jeremiah Wright, Michael Pfleger, William Ayers, Louis Farrakhan, ACORN, and yes, Jesse Jackson ought to tell us that Barack Hussein Obama has a very radical worldview, indeed.  He has simply been smart enough to conceal both his worldview and his agenda.

Barack Obama will bring monumental change, no question about it.  Given the fact that if he is elected, he will likely have such an overwhelming majority under Nancy Pelosi’s House of Representatives and Harry Reid’s Senate that Republicans won’t be able to do anything about anything, Obama would likely have more power than any President in our lifetimes.  There will be change like we have never seen.

God bless America, or God damn America: which one will we choose?

Obama Throws ‘New Politics’, ‘Change’ Aside To Focus On Attacks

September 14, 2008

Don’t you love to say, “I told you so”?

Obama used to dish out the Kool-Aid that he was a “new candidate” offering a “new politics” of “hope” and “change.”  And his believers swallowed it by the gallon.  Why, Barack Obama – who has literally replaced Jesus Christ as the central figure of history – can do no wrong, and it is only Republicans who would stoop to doing anything negative.

Everyone else looked back at the cynical way he wiped Alice Palmer – who would have crushed him in a fair election – off the ballot (along with every other Democrat in the election).  And we remembered that the same guy had earlier been fighting to keep every voter ON the ballot even if there was a good chance that the “voter” was fraudulent.

Obama also knows how to play hardball in other ways: (more…)

Barack Obama Speech: Great On Delivery, Lousy On Substance

August 30, 2008

Barack Obama knows how to deliver a speech well.  But, in all seriousness, a good delivery doesn’t make the message delivered any more true than if it is poorly delivered.  And the very worst liars are often enough the very best talkers.

According to FactCheck.org, Obama “stuck to the facts except when he stretched them.”  I would argue that he stretched them beyond the point of ridiculous on a number of occasions.

At the macro level, one serious criticism is that Obama fundamentally contradicted himself. He spent the first third of the speech engaging in classic old-style politics, delivering several unfair and frankly over-the-top attacks.  Then he spent the last third talking about new politics, rising above attacks, coming together, and having the grace to build bridges.  You can’t start off delivering an old-style attack, and then claim that you represent a new style.

Also at the macro level, Barack Obama, whose campaign theme has been “change we can believe in,” promised to “spell out exactly what that change would mean” and deliver a “workmanlike” speech.  But, as two Associated Press articles report, Obama too often only “touched on major issues quickly and lightly,” and when he actually offered specifics, the vision he presented “collided with reality.”

Inexperienced Obama Makes Experience The Issue

August 29, 2008

Politico has the Obama campaign reaction to John McCain’s VP pick, Gov. Sarah Palin:

Obama spokesman Bill Burton: Today, John McCain put the former mayor of a town of 9,000 with zero foreign policy experience a heartbeat away from the presidency. Governor Palin shares John McCain’s commitment to overturning Roe v. Wade, the agenda of Big Oil and continuing George Bush’s failed economic policies — that’s not the change we need, it’s just more of the same.

When Barack Obama ran in the Democratic primaries, he was far away the least experienced candidate.  But it didn’t matter then.  He had “hope” and “change” on his side.  When Barack Obama began to run against John McCain, he was even farther away-er the lest experienced candidate.  But it didn’t matter then, either.  The man who opposed the surge – and the victory it has brought us in Iraq – said it was all about his “judgment.”

Now we get to see his poor judgment in action again.
