Of the sons of Issachar, men who understood the times, with knowledge of what Israel should do, their chiefs were two hundred; and all their kinsmen were at their command — 1 Chronicles 12:32
Do you remember all the media ginned-up brouhaha over the alleged incident in which a Tea Party protestor spat in the face of a black congressman? Emmanuel Cleaver? Ring any bells? Republicans were depicted as these racist haters.
Even though with ten thousand cameras and recording devices all around that day, nobody ever produced any footage of somebody deliberately spitting in anybody’s face that day.
Even though conservatives offered $15,000 for any proof of intentional spitting. And never had to pay a dime.
GRAND CHUTE — A bus tour event on behalf of Mitt Romney turned ugly Friday afternoon when a protester interrupted a rally and spit in a supporter’s face.
The event featured Wisconsin state Sen. Alberta Darling and Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch.
During Darling’s remarks, the protester, Mary Hoglund, 83, of Appleton, interrupted the event to ask about Republican opposition to Planned Parenthood.
A local Romney supporter began arguing with Hoglund, who then spit in her face. Hoglund was escorted out, and received medical attention for a scratch she received on her neck.
The supporter declined to give her name as she left the event, but said she was unharmed.
Hoglund said she was attacked inside the event, hosted at Hanson Benefits. The event was part of a statewide tour kicking off “Wisconsin Women for Mitt.”
Grand Chute police are reviewing the altercation for potential charges. Hoglund was taken away in an ambulance with what appeared to be minor injuries, including the scratch.
Chris Hanson, owner of the benefits provider, said the altercation caught her off guard.
“This is a private business and we invited a small group of clients and friends,” Hanson said. “Whatever happened to grace and mercy in politics? This isn’t a town hall meeting.”
Ben Sparks, a Wisconsin-based Romney spokesman, called the incident a “stunt” and said the woman refused to leave when asked.
Romney protester Kathy Lefebvre, of Green Bay, was escorted out with Hoglund.
“I’ve never experienced anything like that before, to me it’s unacceptable,” Lefebvre said. “Getting upset is one thing, but (Romney supporters) attacked Mary.”
Mary Jones, of Oneida, attended the event and was standing in the crowd of two dozen people near the altercation.
“It was very disrespectful,” Jones said. “One woman decided to be rude and was politely asked to leave. It was shocking.”
Kathy Lefebvre needs to find herself a functioning brain. If somebody spits in my face I’ll be attacking that person, too, you libturd dumbass. For this liberal idiot to try to depict Mary Hoglund as a “victim” after she just spat in somebody’s face is almost as unhinged as spitting in somebody’s face.
If you are a Democrat and you want to see what a truly vile human being looks like, get off your ass and go look in the mirror.
Somehow, I have a feeling this incident of a rabid liberal spitting in the face of a conservative woman at a Republican event won’t make it into MSNBC’s “coverage.”
For the record, Fox News played the clip of the Emmanuel Cleaver “spitting” incident quite a number of times – and I suppose you could argue that they did that BECAUSE NOBODY INTENTIONALLY SPIT ON ANYBODY AND THE VIDEO CLEARLY SHOWED THAT.
Obama’s campaign is the most dishonest, the most vile and the most vicious in American presidential campaign history. And that is because Obama’s supporters are dishonest, vile, vicious people and he is reaching out to the lowest and most loathsome element in America to try to win.
I think of the Tea Party and all the accusations of hate that was poured on us. It was amazing. I saw peaceful, mostly older people protesting in complete law-abiding order. But the left demonized us. And then we saw the Occupy Wall Street movement (OWS) that was replete with numerous acts of rape, of violence, of rioting, of outright terrorism, complete with 7,387 documented arrests.
But those who literally DOCUMENTthemselves to be violent and willing to resort to violence aren’t “hateful.” Only Christians who read and follow their Bibles so qualify.
So we have ourselves a liberal who literally believes that those who believe what the Holy Bible and 2,000 years of Western Civilization clearly teach are “hateful.” And those who murder people for practicing their right to believe as they will and speak as they will – as 230 years of our constitutional republic clearly teach – are “tolerant.”
Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, is calling for an end to “reckless rhetoric” he believes is behind Wednesday’s shooting at the conservative group’s office in Washington, D.C.
Leo Johnson is recovering after he was shot in the arm in what federal authorities have labeled an act of domestic terrorism.
The Wednesday morning incident began when suspected shooter Floyd Corkins, 28, entered FRC headquarters off G Street, and reportedly made statements opposing the company’s policies.
He then shot Johnson, an FRC building operations manager who also serves as a security guard. Johnson was unarmed and not in uniform.
“Floyd Corkins was responsible for firing the shot that wounded our friend,” Perkins said Thursday.
“But Corkins was given a license to shoot an unarmed man by groups like the SPLC that have been reckless in labeling organizations ‘hate groups’ because they disagree with them on public policy,” he added.
Hate Group?
In 2010, the Southern Poverty Law Center put the FRC on the same “hate group” list as the Klu Klux Klan and neo-Nazis because of its stance in favor of traditional marriage.
Jerry Boykin, a retired Army general and FRC’s new executive vice president, was at the office when the shooting occurred.
“I tell you what, you couldn’t blow me out of here with a stick of dynamite now,” he told CBN News. “I am so determined that we are going to continue standing for biblical values, family values, freedom, faith.”
“I hope that this stimulates other Americans that have the same values to get involved in what’s going on in this country,” Boykins continued. “We’re not going away. We’re not going to back down.”
Since the incident, Perkins visited Johnson in the hospital. Despite his injury, the unarmed Johnson and others tackled the suspect and wrestle him to the floor.
“When I told him his actions were heroic in protecting his colleagues, he told me that he just reacted in the way he thought anyone at FRC would have responded,” Perkins said.
He added that his organization is grateful for the continued prayers and support from around the world.
A Dangerous Atmosphere
Corkins, who was taken into FBI custody, is a volunteer worker at a Washington community center for the homosexual and transgender population of D.C.
“Well, I’m very shocked. It’s very surprising,” a neighbor said of Corkin’s attack.
FRC is known as a conservative Christian lobbying organizations, especially well-known for its support of traditional marriage and stance against abortion.
The suspect was also reportedly carrying a Chick-fil-A bag. Chick-Fil-A’s president, Dan Cathy, has been under fire for opposing gay marriage and funding groups like FRC.
Some conservatives say if Wednesday’s attack was politically motivated, liberal and pro-gay organizations that keep labeling FRC a “hate group” for opposing gay marriage are partially to blame for the dangerous atmosphere.
We’d like to hear your thoughts on how liberal groups are labeling those who stand for biblical beliefs as ‘hate groups.’ join the discussion at our CBN News Facebook page.
“This has got to be a wake-up call to everybody in the conservative movement,” Media Research Center’s Dan Gainor said. “If it turns out early reports are accurate and this individual did this based on politics, it’s not that it’s new. It’s the culmination of years of leftie demonization of conservative groups.”
“Such harmful and dangerous labels deserve no place in our civil society,” he said, calling on pro-gay organizations “to withdraw such incendiary rhetoric from a debate that involves millions of good Americans.”
Many liberals and gay rights activists often refer to those who disagree with them as “haters” or “hate groups.”
Stirring the Pot
Just this past Friday, gay Campus Pride leader Shane L. Windmeyer blasted Chick-fil-A for its support of traditional marriage in an Huffington Post editorial.
“Through its family-controlled nonprofit arm, Chick-fil-A profits have funded such groups as Eagle Forum, Exodus International, Family Research Council, and Focus on the Family,” he wrote.
“Chick-fil-A profits fund documented hate groups that aggressively work against LGBT people, advocating their criminalization, psychological abuse, or death,” he added.
The Southern Poverty Law Center said it labels FRC a hate group because it disseminates false information to defame gays.
But FRC senior fellow Peter Sprigg told CBN news that’s not true.
“I don’t expect everyone to agree with some of the things that we assert about the homosexual lifestyle,” Sprigg said. “But we do present evidence in support of those assertions, and they are certainly not falsehoods or fabrications.”
Tony Perkins, the president of Family Research Council, had this to say on the Huckabee show (August 18, 2012) – and I typed it verbatim:
Tony Perkins: “And he [Leo] had the gun on the man. I talked to Leo – in fact I talked Leo again this morning to make sure he is doing okay, and he’s doing fine, recovering well – He could have and would have been justified in shooting the man because he had no idea if he had another weapon, or what he planned to do. But Leo told me this: he said that in that moment, “the Lord spoke to me and said, ‘Don’t shoot him.'” And he didn’t. He called for help and other members of the team came and held him until the police arrived.”
This liberal – like ALLliberals – utterly despises the God of the Bible.
But it was that very God who told Leo Johnson to spare that liberal’s life.
Just so you understand the sheer hypocrisy and cowardice of this particular liberal, there’s this:
Fox News is reporting that the incident occurred inside the FRC headquarters at approximately 10:45 a.m. yesterday. Sources said the shooter made statements regarding FRC policies just before opening fire and shooting Leo Johnson, a security guard, in the arm. Johnson and another guard managed to wrestle the man to the ground and take away his gun. While doing so,the shooter said, “Don’t shoot me, it was not about you, it was what this place stands for.”
Can you imagine saying that to the man you just tried to kill merely because of where that man worked?
Hopefully God spared – and make no mistake that it was GOD who spared – Floyd Corkins in order that at least one liberal would realize that absolutely EVERYTHING he believes and thinks he knows has been completely wrong.
Chick-Fil-A has received more hatred this past week than most businesses get in a lifetime. Why? Because its CEO expressed his constitutionally-protected opinion and because he took the same position that Liar-in-Chief Obama cynically and deceitfully took for most of his first term before betraying the American people who believed him when Obama said:
“I believe that marriage is the union between a man and a woman. Now, for me as a Christian — for me — for me as a Christian, it is also a sacred union. God’s in the mix.”
It is very difficult to believe now that Rahm Emanuel became this incredibly hateful man’s chief of staff given that Obama “tastes like hate.”
It was only three months ago that Barack Obama tasted like hate.
Why don’t Democrats demonize anyone who ISN’TChristian for believing that marriage is the union between one man and one woman and that homosexuality is a sin?
Homophobia, to be sure, is a sadly universal phenomenon. But it is one with especially deep roots among blacks. Polling numbers bear this out. In a recent Pew poll, 65 percent of American blacks reported thinking of homosexuality as wrong, while only 48 percent of whites did; in other words, most blacks harbored this prejudice, while fewer than half of whites did. Also, black voters played a disproportionate role in getting the anti-gay-marriage Proposition 8 passed in California in 2008.
Why don’t Democrats demonize “homophobic” Islamic mosques and point out that those people who largely have different skin color than white people are all evil intolerant haters?
If memory serves, the people in thirty-five states out of thirty-five states have voted. And in every single case the people have supported Dan Cathy and Chick-Fil-A’s view of marriage. Shouldn’t the Democrat Party’s official platform position be that the American people are clearly evil?
Boy, are those liberals “brave” for surrounding an old black man and dumping their hate on him. But at least these white liberals are being slightly consistent unlike the real “99 percent” of their party who would never DREAM of being consistent and viciously attacking black people for their views about a subject they just LOVE to demonize old white men for.
Aside from the fact that to be a Democrat is to be a gutless hypocrite who “stands for everything” and therefore stands for NOTHING, I can tell you the real reason why Democrats have somehow only ever shown the moral “courage” to demonize Christians. It’s in the Bible. Jesus Himself taught it:
“If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. Remember the words I spoke to you: ‘No servant is greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also. They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the One who sent me.” John 15-18-21
Democrats don’t hate Obama. Even though for three years he “tasted like hate.” Democrats don’t hate black people even though on their own view black people are far and away the most intolerant and evil people in America. Democrats don’t hate Muslims even though they want to see gay people burned alive or thrown off cliffs. Democrats don’t hate Louis Farrakhan or his Nation of Islam in spite of their numerous hateful and racist and bigoted views that of course include homosexuality. Nope.
Democrats hate Christians.
And Jesus told us exactly why Democrats would hate Christians.
Ultimately, to be a Democrat is to be a hater of Jesus Christ. They hated Him first. And they hate us because they hate Him.
You go ahead, Democrat. You hate me as much as you want. I know why and I’ve chosen my side just like you’ve chosen yours.
See also here for why God ordained marrige the way He did and why the Democrat Party in officially making homosexuality part of their party platform have finally reached rock bottom.
SECAUCUS — For the second time this week, the Walmart at Harmon Meadow plaza was evacuated Thursday afternoon after a bomb threat was called in to the store, police said.

Walmart shoppers and employees outside of the store after a bomb threat Thursday afternoon.
A caller phoned in the threat at 1:41 p.m., said Detective Sgt. Dominick DeGennaro of the Secaucus police. Store employees called police, and officers and firefighters searched the store without finding anything, DeGennaro said. The store was allowed to reopen after about an hour, he said.
A nearly identical scenario played out at the same Walmart store on Monday. About 700 people, including customers and employees, were evacuated after a threat was called in to the store at 1:45 p.m., police said.
In Secaucus on Monday, K-9 units from the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office and the NJ Transit and Jersey City police searched the store for more than two hours before determining there was no bomb, authorities said. The store was allowed to reopen at 4:15 p.m., he said.
Authorities also searched for a link to at least a dozen similar threats that were called in to Walmart stores in Missouri, Kansas and Oklahoma over the weekend.
Who do ya think is behind these??? This is your cue to look in a mirror, point a finger at it, and say, “YOU are, you fascist scumbag!” at yourself, liberal.
Fascists Democrats are uniting behind their Fascist-in-Chief messiah. And they will either burn this country to the ground or we will take it away from them come November.
Democrats are people who demand a circular firing squad to kill any businesses that don’t tow their liberal line. They constantly seek to drive WalMarts out in spite of the tax base and jobs those stores create just as they sought to drive out Chick-Fil-A and literally state “We don’t need their tax dollars” in spite of the fact that each of those restaurants create nearly a hundred long-term jobs along with paying taxes to those cities. You’d think this was suicidal behavior, but it really isn’t for those who lead “the cause.” People like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton show up and rouse the rabble with their demagoguery, prevent a business from opening, get shake-down/extortion concessions for themselves in the form of “donations” to their causes in exchange for finally leaving, and then walk away from the communities that will now get NOjobs because of their “leadership.” In the case of Occupy, there is giant Soros money funding the cause. George Soros is a Nazi and an enemy of the United States and has always BEEN a Nazi and an enemy to the United States, but that doesn’t matter to these people. The organizers of those OWS protests get their Judas wages for sabotaging businesses and thereby sabotaging the communities that needed those businesses.
I mentioned Chick-Fil-A. Yes, the Democrat Party viciously attacked Chick-Fil-A in the form of three fascist Democrat Mayors who threatened that business with government power over daring to hold their own views whether those views are protected by the First Amendment or not. Yes, in response Chick-Fil-A benefited from the largest sales in their entire history as hundreds of thousands of people stood in line for as long as three hours to buy their products in response to that fascism. Yes, the left held their own day – a homosexual “kiss-in- that got virtually NOBODY to show up. But they did manage to pull off still another example of fascist liberal intolerance:
On a day that some gay-rights activists are planning a “National Same-Sex Kiss Day,” a Chick-fil-A in Torrance was vandalized overnight with hateful graffiti.
Chick-fil-A employees were greeted Fridays morning with the words “Tastes like hate” scrawled in large black lettering mimicking the chain’s advertising across the back wall of the restaurant at 182nd Street and Hawthorne Boulevard in Torrance.
With media helicopters hovering overhead and police officers on the scene, one employee said, “I’m just trying to sort everything out.”
Chick-fil-A has been at the center of media scrutiny and public debate ever since the company’s president publicly expressed his opposition to same-sex marriage.
On Friday, some gay-rights activists are encouraging same-sex couples to go one of the chicken restaurant’s locations and take a photo or video of themselves kissing.
It remains unclear whether this protest will generate the huge crowds that turned out Wednesday for “Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day,” when tens of thousands waited through long lines in a show of support for the executive.
The privately held company declined to give specific sales figures but released a statement to the Los Angeles Times confirming that frenzied sales of chicken sandwiches and cross-cut waffle fries had made for a record-setting day.
“We are very grateful and humbled by the incredible turnout of loyal Chick-fil-A customers on August 1 at Chick-fil-A restaurants around the country,” said Steve Robinson, executive vice president of marketing, in the statement. “While we don’t release exact sales numbers, we can confirm reports that it was a record-setting day.”
Who pulled off that victory for liberalism? It was a fascist Obama-voting demon-possessed cockroach, that’s who it was.
By Friday afternoon reports from restaurants around the country showed the number of protesters was low compared to the hundreds of people from around the country who turned out Wednesday for a “Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day.”
It was of course hundreds of thousands of people nationwide, and “the number of [kiss-in] protestors was nonexistant in comparison. Not that the facts should actually matter or anything. “Facts” and “truth” and “reality” only matter to rightwingers, and if you care about such idiotic concepts you are a racist homophobic bigot.
We’re living in a day when Nazi Democrats like Harry Reid openly deploy Orwellian tactics to demonize their opponents. It doesn’t matter if Harry Reid refused in a vote to release his OWN damn taxes; it doesn’t matter if just a few weeks ago his president was protected by his party when Obama declared executive privilege and refused to provide ANY records surrounding the FACT that the Obama administration put 2,000 guns into the hands of Mexican drug cartel murderers who used those guns to murder at least one US Border Patrol Agent and which likely murdered an American ICE agent as well. How is it that Democrats can surround an act of clear presidential obstruction of justice on the one hand and then turn around and demand records right after refusing to allow any records to be turned over? And do so with such appalling pseudo-self righteousness?
“I don’t think the burden should be on me,” Reid said. “The burden should be on him. He’s the one I’ve alleged has not paid any taxes. Why didn’t he release his tax returns?”
Reid said, “the word’s out that he [Romney] hasn’t paid any taxes for 10 years.” The “word is out” because and ONLY because Harry Reid PUT the word out by making two false and recklessly unsubstantiated statements on the Senate floor while making numerous statements to the press.
This is the new system that Democrats are demanding: they get to make assertions with zero evidence documented by nothing. And the burden of proof is on whomever they accuse. That is pure Nazi bullshit and the Democrat Party is the Nazi Party unless and until they drive Harry Reid into retirement for crap like that. Every Democrat is a fascist for allowing a fascist like Harry Reid to remain in office.
It wasn’t a week ago now that the same Democrat president who was for gay marriage before he was against gay marriage before he was suddenly for gay marriage again pulled that same fascist hat-trick with guns. He joined the crowd of Democrat fascists in trying to take away our constitutionally guaranteed right to keep and bear arms. There is absolutely zero question that our founding fathers are firmly on one side and Democrats like Obama are on the other. And to whatever extent America is going-out-of-control with violence it is ONLY because Democrats have “fundamentally transformed” America into a moral cesspool with their evil fascist policies that revel in evil and oppose what is good.
But Obama wasn’t finished with fascism; he is NEVER finished with fascism. So the man who likes to call himself “the commander-in-chief” literally sued to keep the troops under him from being allowed to have a chance to vote his skinny fascist weasel ass out of office. You want to talk about “equal protection under the law?” I’M a victim of unequal protections; I have an ID legally issued to me by the government; the people that Obama and Holder demand be able to vote DON’T have such ID. I’m a US citizen; there’s no reason to believe that the people Obama and Holder demand be able to vote share that distinction. Barack Obama is a cynical fascist weasel who is trying to unconstitutionally stack the deck in his favor by rewarding illegal immigrants who vote overwhelmingly for him and punishing American soldiers who vote overwhelmingly AGAINST him.
All of that pure fascism happened in the Democrat Party between 7/27 and 8/3/2012. It is truly amazing how wicked this party has become.
Still another thing that has happened during that period has been the Democrat Party’s decision to make homosexuality part of their official party platform. Read Romans chapter 1 and tell me that the Democrat Party hasn’t just reached the very bottom of the moral sewer.
Actually, Vante should get a giant gold medal for crapping out its turd of the year. If I understand correctly, this fool who acts like a total hater to go label some hapless employee a “hater” also had been on the faculty of the University of Arizona. Apparently they didn’t like his act, either. I’m not sure if anyone has asked Smith if he’s stopped digging or if he had another Youtube vid for our viewing pleasure.
Oh, I’m sorry. It’s because liberals are abject moral hypocrites who demagogue hate merely to attack convenient targets without really standing for anything? Never mind. That would explain why Obama’s former demagogue-of-staff Rahm Emanuel demonized Chick-Fil-A because they don’t represent “Chicago values” and then simultaneously celebrated Loius Farrakhan and his homo-hating Nation of Islam, then.
The Cardinal Newman Society, a national organization to help renew and strengthen Catholic identity in Catholic higher education, issued the following statement:
August 1, 2012, marks the formal beginning of the persecution of Catholic colleges and universities that wish to remain faithful to the teachings of the Catholic Church.
As of today, the Obama administration is forcing Catholic colleges to help students and employees obtain no-cost sterilizations, abortion-causing drugs and contraceptives, and also “counseling” promoting these practices.
And who are the first victims of the Obama administration’s new Sexual Revolution? Catholic colleges and the parents of Catholic college students!
One year ago, when the Obama administration shocked the nation with “interim final” regulations for its HHS mandate, it publicly admitted that it had rushed the rules to ensure that college students get “contraceptive services” in the 2012-2013 school year. Many student insurance plans renew in August.
In other words, the Obama administration’s desire to support students’ sexual activity without even one year’s delay is precisely why:
1) they rushed to publish a poorly constructed religious exemption, and
2) they refused to accept comments on the interim regulations until after they were issued.
Many news publications have deceptively reported that the HHS mandate is delayed another year for religious institutions, without explaining that many religious colleges and employers cannot meet the Obama administration’s arbitrary criteria for the delay.
Catholic colleges that covered “contraceptive services” as of February 10, 2012, are ineligible for the delay. But infidelity is not the only reason why Catholic colleges may be affected:
· They may have complied with state laws which violate religious freedom.
· They may have been unaware of provisions included in their health plans by insurance companies or by college personnel in prior years.
· They may operate in areas without affordable coverage that excludes contraception.
Moreover, the past infidelity of a Catholic college is no excuse for the federal government to violate that college’s First Amendment right to uphold Catholic teachings.
And further, the Obama administration is violating the rights of Catholic parents who send students to Catholic colleges, reasonably expecting their religious beliefs to be upheld. There is no religious freedom when the federal government prevents Catholic families from freely choosing authentic Catholic education.
Cardinal Donald Wuerl, archbishop of Washington, had this to say in an interview with Chris Wallace:
WUERL: This lawsuit isn’t about contraception. It is about religious freedom. Embedded in the mandate is a radically new definition of what institutes a religious community, what constitutes religious ministry — brand new and never fortified in the federal level. That’s what we are arguing about.
The lawsuit said we have every right to serve in this community as we have served for decades and decades. The new definition says you are not really religious if you serve people other than your own and if you hire people other than your own. That wipes out all of the things that we have been doing, all the things that we contribute to the common good — our schools, our health care services, our Catholic charity and even parish soup kitchens and pantries. All that’s wiped out.
WALLACE: Let me pick up on that, because the White House says — the famous accommodation by President Obama, that they changed the mandates so that the insurance companies that you are dealing with, to provide health insurance coverage to your employees have to provide the birth control for free and that the charities and the schools and the hospitals, don’t have to do anything.
WUERL: This is one of the reasons why we say the accommodation didn’t change anything, because so many of our institutions, certainly the archdiocese, is self insured. We are the insurer.
Obama is trying for force religious groups and charities out of business so he can impose his fascist socialist government to fill the vacuum of suffering he created by putting them into an impossible moral predicament: either abandon the theology that you have held for 1,500 years or abandon your charitable work and leave millions of people high and dry. But it is the theology that drives that charity work in the first place. Which makes it like yanking the floor out from under yourself and then trying to stand on thin air.
So on the one hand liberals are demonizing businesses like Chick-Fil-A and literally trying to use the raw power of government to punish them for exercising their free speech rights. And they do so on the “moral grounds” that they ought to be able to punish “anti-gay views.” And on the other hand the same damn liberals are trying to impose godawful unconstitutional restrictions that directly punish religious groups. And the fact that their views are anti-religious views, anti-Christian views and anti-biblical views doesn’t mean a damn thing in a world gone PC-crazy.
JACKSON TWP. — If Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy wanted to gauge Stark County’s support for backing “the biblical definition of a family,” he would be pleased by the massive turnout Wednesday at the chain’s locations here.
Perspiration dripped down the face of off-duty Jackson Township police officer Craig Hall as he directed a seemingly endless line of vehicles queuing up for lunch at Chick-fil-A’s Dressler Road drive-thru.
Hall, who arrived at 11 a.m., said the line of cars on Dressler waiting to turn in had to be rerouted around neighboring restaurant Ruby Tuesday to avoid a massive traffic jam.
“We haven’t had any problems,” he said. “Just one car stalled in the lane, and people got out and pushed it out of the way.”
Delaney Young of Perry Township waited in the car line with his wife, Mary, and sister-in-law Bobbie Bates of North Canton. He said they are members of Canton Baptist Temple and learned of the support day through their church .
“Chick-fil-A has the right to make these statements,” said Delaney. His family was decked out in white T-shirts with black lettering that said, “God is in control.”
Customers continued to stream in on foot from adjoining parking lots. By 12:30, more than 50 people were waiting in line outside just to get in the doors.
Franchise owner Doug Pugh said the response is overwhelming. “It’s a great day.”
CONTROVERSIAL COMMENTS
Cathy told the Baptist Press last month that the Atlanta-based company was “guilty as charged” for backing “the biblical definition of a family.” That unleashed a torrent of criticism from gay rights groups and others, who have called for boycotts and efforts to block the chain from opening new stores.
Opponents of the company’s stance are planning “Kiss Mor Chiks” for Friday, when they are encouraging people of the same sex to show up at Chick-fil-A restaurants around the country and kiss each other.
In response, Cathy supporters turned out in droves Wednesday to support the restaurant chain. The line was 50 or more at times at the Westfield Belden Village mall store.
WHAT CUSTOMERS SAY
Marilyn Nagle of North Canton carried out a bag of food from the Dressler Road location.
“It’s amazing how many people you meet when you’re standing in line like that. … I heard about this from friends. I wish I had come for breakfast before the crowds gathered.”

Nick Toussant of Hartville said his daughter told him about the event.
“Free speech is not a liberty to take lightly. I’m afraid the almighty dollar speaks loudest.”
Mary Lou Wolfe of Plain Township and her husband went out of their way to visit Chick-fil-A for lunch, a restaurant they don’t normally patronize.
She was impressed by the crowd and the employees who were pleasantly hustling to deal with the crowd crush.
“What I noticed most of all was the customers. Everyone was so happy to see such an outpouring of support. They didn’t mind waiting in line at all,” Wolfe said.
“It was an exhilarating experience.”
Wolfe saw her purchase as supporting free speech, saying the company’s owner has faced unfair criticism.
“Just because a person has a personal belief doesn’t mean his product should be boycotted.”

If Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy wanted to gauge Stark County’s support for backing “the biblical definition of a family,” he would be pleased by the massive turnout Wednesday at the chain’s locations here.
“I came because I wanted to support (CEO Cathy) who says marriage should be between a man and woman. So if you know a man, I’m a woman.”
Sodom and Gomorrah (Chicago and Boston) weren’t blessed, contrary to the liberal narrative; they were destroyed.
What is most amazing in all of this is that liberal cities are awash in bankruptcy and violence and yet they want to block businesses like Chick-Fil-A from bringing their jobs and their tax dollars in. Chicago is literally taxing the bejeezus out of people to pay for the deteriorating social services while chasing out businesses that pay taxes and further broaden the tax base by creating jobs.
The success of this “appreciation day” underscores a fact that never ceases to anger me. The left does boycott after boycott and punishes businesses into cowering to their demands on a regular basis. Conservatives generally speak of some moral high ground and tell their audiences and constituencies to support “progressive businesses” such as Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream just to show how “tolerant” we are compared to the left. And our little moral victory is exactly why the right continues to have less and less influence over culture even though there are easily twice as many conservatives as there are liberals.
I say that’s a truck load of crap.
If mobs of angry conservatives were to start boycotting businesses that don’t represent their values the way the left does we might actually get to a point where both sides agree to lay off each other. But that’s not the way it works: rather, the side that has half the people generates ten times the impact because they do what we won’t do.
We need to understand what is happening in our culture right now today. There is something toxic going on that is revealed in polls of Christian teens: In The Jesus Survey Book (2012), Mike Nappa documents that fully one out of three Christian teenagers believes that Jesus, Mohammed, Buddha and other great religious leaders all lead to heaven. The question is whether morality and religious truth claims are more like math (one right answer) or more like meaninglessness (whatever floats your boat). If Jesus claimed to be “the Way, and the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me” as He did in John 14:6, that is either truth like 1 + 1 = 2 or it is like an arbitrary color preference (you like red but I prefer blue). Jesus very clearly meant for His unique claim to be “the Resurrection and the Life” (John 11:25) to be the former and not the latter.
But our own children are being undermined by a politically correct view of “tolerance” that demands that all views be accorded the same status. And so morality is just a bunch of arbitary preferences and how dare you hold your arbitrary preference above mine? Even though I as a liberal very definitely hold MY preference over YOURS. We are allowing our children to be indoctrinated such that they cannot believe the truth no matter what we teach them because of a more fundamental truth claim that is being pushed into our culture at every level. Such that even Christian kids are being brainwashed by an idiotic and frankly self-refuting view. And I say “self-refuting” because the left’s demonizing free speech amounts to a disproof that they actually hold to any true “tolerance” at all. On the one hand liberals tell our children that there is no one right or wrong way to believe, and on the other hand they are simultanesouly teaching our children that in fact there is only one legitimate way to believe, and that is their way. That is an obvious fundamental and inherent self-contradiction, but we have degnerated to the point that we simply no longer care any more about such facts.
This is a war that we are losing day by day. Because we have utterly refused to exercise the power over this culture that our numbers ought to accord us while a much smaller minority increasingly defines this culture with toxic views. History proves over and over again that if a people or a culture aren’t willing and able to stand up for what they believe, they will find themselves supplanted. And that is what is going on in our Laodicean Age (Revelation 3:15).
While this is an extremely positive day for conservatives and for supporting conservative values, I would argue that it also shows that we not only need to do a far better job of protecting our businesses, but also of turning liberal tactics against liberals. Because we are allowing the rug to be pulled right out from under us even as we think we’re standing on it.
If you use my search engine to explore my use of the word “fascist,” you’ll see I “liberally” apply it to liberalism. And to Obama and his liberal thugs. What the Obama administration did with DOMA – passed by the House and Senate and signed into law by President Clinton – and what he has since done with illegal immigration in an incredibly illegal and cynical attempt to win the Hispanic vote are just a couple of your more obvious examples.
The thing is, I’m completely right to do so, and liberals keep proving that I’m completely right.
Chick-fil-A is the latest (well, there are a thousand examples every day, so let’s just say it’s the latest mass media example) example of liberal fascism.
Let me first just ask this question: when was the last time a religious conservative mayor went after a business for its anti-BIBLICAL views???
The anti-gay views openly espoused by the president of a fast food chain specializing in chicken sandwiches have run afoul of Mayor Rahm Emanuel and a local alderman, who are determined to block Chick-fil-A from expanding in Chicago.
“Chick-fil-A’s values are not Chicago values. They’re not respectful of our residents, our neighbors and our family members. And if you’re gonna be part of the Chicago community, you should reflect Chicago values,” Emanuel said Wednesday.
“What the CEO has said as it relates to gay marriage and gay couples is not what I believe, but more importantly, it’s not what the people of Chicago believe. We just passed legislation as it relates to civil union and my goal and my hope … is that we now move on recognizing gay marriage. I do not believe that the CEO’s comments … reflects who we are as a city.”
Ald. Joe Moreno (1st) is using the same argument to block Chick-fil-A from opening its first free-standing restaurant in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood.
Chick-fil-A already has one Chicago store — at 30 E. Chicago near Loyola University’s downtown campus.
“Same sex marriage, same-sex couples — that’s the civil rights fight of our time. To have those discriminatory policies from the top down is just not something that we’re open to. …We want responsible businesses,” Moreno said.
“If he’s in the business of selling chicken in Chicago, he should be in the business of having equal rights for everyone. Period …. If it looks like a chicken, talks like a chicken, walks like a chicken, it’s a chicken. If you’re saying you don’t respect the values and rights of same-sex couples, that trickles down through the organization. … That’s paramount to the way the company behaves.”
Don Perry, vice president of corporate public relations for Chick-fil-A, and senior manager Jerry Johnston could not be reached for comment on the opposition from the mayor and Moreno.
Chick-fil-A has already obtained zoning approval to build a restaurant in the 2500 block of North Elston. But, the company still needs City Council approval to divide the land and purchase a lot near Home Depot.
Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy was quoted last week as saying he was “guilty as charged” for supporting, what he called the “biblical definition” of marriage as between a man and a woman.
“We are very much supportive of the family — the biblical definition of the family unit. We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that,” Cathy was quoted as saying.
Appearing on the Ken Coleman Show, Cathy was further quoted as saying, “I think we’re inviting God’s judgment when we shake our fist at him, you know, [saying], ‘We know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage.’ And I pray on God’s mercy on our generation that has such a prideful, arrogant attitude to think that we would have the audacity to try and redefine what marriage is all about.”
Cathy’s comments have infuriated gay rights activists across the nation, prompting their political allies to take a stand against the company.
Boston Mayor Thomas Menino has said Chick-fil-A “doesn’t belong in Boston” because of Cathy’s discriminatory stance.
On Wednesday, the tag team of Emanuel and Moreno joined the chorus, citing Cathy’s anti-gay views. The only question is whether they have a legal leg to stand on.
“Absolutely not,” said former Ald. William Banks (36th), the longtime chairman of the City Council’s Zoning Committee who presided over a massive re-write of the city’s 1957 zoning ordinance.
“Any alderman can hold a development issue for virtually any purpose. But if he’s doing it for the wrong reasons — if he’s citing a gay rights issue — there’s nothing illegal about that.”
Moreno said he has an ace in his back pocket if he runs into legal trouble: traffic and congestion issues caused by the store that have been the subject of behind-the-scenes negotiations for the last nine months.
“Chicago values” rightly understood is a pejorative, as in, “How DARE you insinuate that my mother has ‘Chicago values’!”
“Tell us that you recognize that a man sodomizing another man is a beautiful thing or we’ll take your business away from you!” Those are values I don’t need.
For the record, it isn’t just Obama’s home city and Obama’s former chief-of-staff who are pissing all over free speech; another old liberal city is doing so as well:
I can now officially define “inclusion” for you: it means singling out and attacking anyone or anything that doesn’t completely agree with what liberals think.
San Francisco Mayor Ewdin Lee also joined the chorus opposing Chick-fil-A with a tweet saying: ‘Closest #ChickFilA to San Francisco is 40 miles away & I strongly recommend that they not try to come any closer.’
What was Chick-fil-A’s crime that they should be punished and deprived of their rights? The CEO stated that he believed that marriage was the union between one man and one woman and Chick-fil-A was “caught” having exercised its 1st Amendment right to donate to a pro-family cause that supported that view of marriage.
Fascists hate Chick-fil-A for that.
Liberals have repeatedly claimed that Republicans are hoping the economy is bad so that they can win in November. But it is LIBERALS who want job destruction and who do not want economic growth. Can Chick-fil-A create jobs in Boston or Chicago? Uh-uh, they can’t. Can Chick-fil-A grow and help the economy grow? Not if Democrats have anything to do with it, they can’t.
Anti-biblical views. I brought that up. What does the Bible say about homosexuality?
Genesis 19:4-5,12-13: Before they lay down, the men of the city, the men of Sodom, surrounded the house, both young and old, all the people from every quarter; and they called to Lot and said to him, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may have relations with them.” … Then the two men said to Lot, “Whom else have you here? A son-in-law, and your sons, and your daughters, and whomever you have in the city, bring them out of the place; for we are about to destroy this place, because their outcry has become so great before the LORD that the LORD has sent us to destroy it.”
Leviticus 18:22: ‘You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination.
Romans 1:18, 22, 25-27:For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. … Professing to be wise, they became fools … Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them. For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.
1 Corinthians 6:9: Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.
Is it okay if Bible-believing politicians and government officials freely persecute anybody who holds an “anti-biblical view”??? I hope every liberal out there is saying, “You’re damn right it’s okay!” Because otherwise you people are hypocrites.
If any lefty wants to say that’s happened, let’s see it: let’s see the conservative mayor who has said, “Those who hold anti-biblical views discriminate against Christians. Such people don’t represent what our city stands for and we’re going to punish them with the power of government.”
Just imagine the damn outcry if a conservative mayor punished gay people the way Boston and Chicago attacked a Christian business. You want to bet that Barack Obama and his attacking lawdog Eric Holder wouldn’t be all over that major like the stink on poop that they already are?
The Chicago Way (i.e., Obama’s way) is a fascist way. Period.
Quite a few people have praised Chick-fil-A for its business model. Allow me to criticize it: they ought to shake the filthy dust of Boston and Chicago from their feet and create jobs and build the economy in places that deserve to have jobs and economic growth.
We don’t have a Chick-fil-A in my own area (although locating in the Palm Springs area would be out of the frying pan and into the fire, wouldn’t it?), but if we did I’d be a Chick-fil-A-eating fool to thank them for being one of the few businesses that actually stands for something other than PC or profit. I used to eat at one in Anaheim and it’s gooooood.
And as yet another example of liberal fascism, the same damn fascist liberals who are trying to ban Chick-fil-A are doing everything they can to grant more permits for more Islamofascist mosques. Liberals self-righteously say, “We don’t support or endorse their beliefs or practices but we have a constitutional obligation to support their freedoms. But Chick-Fil-A fascism proves once for all that it isn’t any “moral principle” of freedom that liberals are standing on. Because the left would have called for Rahm Emanuel, Thomas Menino, and all the Democrats and liberals who joined their call for punitive action against Chick-Fil-A to RESIGN if that were the case. No, rather, vicious terrorists fanatical Muslims are (for obvious reasons to anyone who understands that the left is fascist) the ONLY religious group that liberals stand behind.
If you’re a liberal, you’re a fascist. And the more liberal you are, the more freaking fascist you are. The fact that Boston Mayor Thomas Menino and Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel are still in office after defecating all over the 1st Amendment is proof of that pudding.
ABC’s The View honored Roseanne Barr with a guest-host spot on July 19, which shows they probably aren’t in the habit of evaluating her sanity based on her Twitter rants. Take her wishing cancer on Chick-Fil-A fans this morning: “anyone who eats S–t Fil-A deserves to get the cancer that is sure to come from eating antibiotic filled tortured chickens 4Christ”.
This came after she told the restaurant chain to suck an appendage she doesn’t have.
This outbreak of hate was retweeted by comedian Joe Rogan, who recently hosted a newfangled version of “Fear Factor” on NBC. Shortly after her get-cancer tweet, she doubled down:
“off to grab a s–it fil-A sandwich on my way to worshipping Christ, supporting Aipac and war in Iran.”
Meanwhile, fascist liberals are seeking to forcibly close Chick-Fil-A restraurants at at least two state university campuses:
Liberals hate free speech, hate the Constitution, hate human life. They also hate businesses and jobs and even taxes – given that the one Chicago Chick-Fil-A created 97 jobs and pays taxes. Now liberals clearly don’t believe in God; but whatever replaces God for them – I suppose it’s ‘Government forbid!’ – that we let in a business that will pay taxes and create jobs. Again, what they REALLY want is to be able to control everything and reward their friends and punish their enemies and decide who wins and who loses. That’s the quintessential nature of fascism.
