Vicious Paris Attacks, Turkey Shoots Down Russian Jet, NATO HQ Owned By Terrorist – And It’s ALL On Obama And Democrats

November 24, 2015

“That’s one small step for man, one giant step for mankind,” I remember Neil Armstrong saying as he became the first human being to walk on the moon.

The day that Barack Hussein Obama was elected president was “That’s one SMALL man, one GIANT step toward Armageddon.”

Today Turkey shot down a Russian jet.  This is the first time since the early 1950s that a US ally shot down a Russian plane.  That’s seriously bad news for anybody who doesn’t want to glow in the dark as they slowly die of radiation poisoning.

Please understand how serious this is: if Russia responds to Turkey’s shooting down their aircraft, Turkey has a right to declare Article 5 of the United Nations Charter – and the United States is forced by treaty to go to war with Russia.

A couple of weeks ago Islamic State blew up a Russian passenger jet which was THE worst aviation disaster in Russia’s entire history.

Shortly after that, Islamic State launched a highly successful terror attack in Lebanon.  Obama couldn’t have cared less.

We just witnessed the kind of terrorist attack that all the experts have most been dreading: while al Qaeda kept swinging for the fences and seemingly fixated on passenger jets – making it far, FAR easier to deter them – Islamic State is willing to go for every piece of low-hanging fruit it can get its hands on.  And to our horror there is low-hanging fruit in every single town and city on planet earth.  They not only went after a venue that will make them almost impossible to stop and easily murdered well over a hundred people, but they murdered most of them execution-style.  And it turns out that while the Obamas of the world demand we negotiate with these murderous Muslims, all that does is give them more time to execute more of their victims.  Because they are absolutely without mercy and they absolutely WILL NOT be deterred from achieving their religious Islamic goals that the Obamas of the world refuse to believe they even have.

As we speak, Brussels – the headquarters of NATO – is locked down and is and has been virtually completely OWNED by radical Islamist terrorists.

And there is blood in Tunisia as terrorists just shot up a bus filled with a presidential guard.

Welcome to the world that Barack Hussein Obama has given us.

Barack Obama could not have been more wrong in his “open-hand” approach to Islamic viciousness.  He is worse than a fool because he is a steadfast fool who is almost miraculously incapable of changing his policies no matter how obviously wrong they are.

And what I keep hearing from the mainstream media is just how “complicated” the world has become under Obama.  It’s a three-dimensional chess board now, they lecture us, with a lot of players each having competing and conflicting strategies.

But whose fault is that?

It didn’t use to be that way.  It didn’t have to be that way.

But we MADE it that way when we elected a depraved fool to be our leader who leads from behind – at least unless he’s unleashing his rabid hate on his own fellow Americans who happen to be Republican or Christian.

There was a time not that long ago when the world was a LOT more simple.  There was a time when in place of the three-dimensional chess board with a lot of different players each having competing and conflicting strategies we had ONE GREAT BIG PLAYER WHO LED.

But a fool named Barack Hussein Obama DEMONIZED that world.  Obama DEMONIZED the projection of American influence, strength, power and resolve.  It was a terrible thing for the United States to actually LEAD and strive to SECURE PEACE.  Obama claimed that when the United States was strong and projected that strength, it destabilized the world.  He said HIS way would lead to peace.

Obama has ignited the world.  We are back to the days of Cold War.  And now we are very close to being back to the days of WORLD WAR.

There was a time when the United States was a true Superpower.  Those days are gone.  Now we are a nation in retreat.  Our Christian ideals that made us the greatest nation in the history of the world have been destroyed and dismantled, and now there is nothing left that is worthy to stand and fight to safeguard.

Obama cut and ran.  He pulled out.  He withdrew.  He retreated.  He surrendered.  And a lot of terrible players stepped up and seized the opportunity to seize the advantage.  And everybody else – because there was no longer a strong leader who could put together strength and force – just scrambled around trying to make whatever deals they could so they wouldn’t be attacked whether by an emboldened Islamic State or by an emboldened Russia or Iran or China who smelled American weakness and lack of resolve.

Every single time Obama has  cut and ran he’s had a dishonest excuse.  He cut and ran from Iraq, claiming that as much as he really, really wanted to he couldn’t keep American troops there to preserve the peace they’d won because of a status-of-forces agreement negotiated by Bush.  Read this news article and see the proof that Barack Obama is a wicked LIAR.  He made political promises and he was hell-bent on pulling out of Iraq REGARDLESS of what our military leaders begged him to do.  And then like the weasel-coward that he is he LIED about his true motives.  There were NUMEROUS ways around any status-of-forces limitation that an American president could have utilized; all it would have taken was the will to do the right thing rather than the political thing.  So Obama claimed victory, his administration claimed victory, and then they cut and ran and gave the terrorists back the country we had just defeated them in.

He did the same thing in Syria – the other melted state that Islamic State ate a big chunk of as they successfully created the world’s first terrorist caliphate directly under Obama’s nose on his watch – and displayed a lack of resolve that was terrifying to everyone but dictators and terrorists.  Obama first declared a “red line” that became a disgrace and a fiasco that emboldened our growing list of enemies and dismayed our shrinking list of friends.

We have Hillary Clinton – the virtually-assured Democrat nominee – dead-to-rights caught in a MASSIVE LIE when it comes to Benghazi.  She not only told the American people a false story, but she told the families of the victims her Benghazi mission murdered while literally standing over their dead bodies, that their family members had been murdered as a result of a video because an American citizen falsely believed in the 2nd Amendment.  But while she was saying that, she was saying something completely DIFFERENT to her own daughter and to an Egyptian official when she told the truth:

“we know the attack in Libya had nothing to do with the film. It was a planned attack, not a protest.”  — Hillary Clinton told the Egyptian Foreign Minister

“Two of our officers were killed in Benghazi by an Al Queda-like [sic] group,” Hillary Clinton told her daughter.

We now know that Barack Obama was fundamentally deceiving the American people when he told them he had “decimated” al Qaeda when in reality he was receiving briefings that even as he was claiming credit for his success, al Qaeda had in FACT DOUBLED IN SIZE.

If you are a Democrat today, you are lower on the moral scale than every single cockroach on planet earth.

Conservatives – each of whom has more moral and intellectual intelligence than every progressive liberal COMBINED – declared Obama’s despicable and cowardly punt a “fiasco” nearly TWO YEARS AGO.  And Obama is such a weasel and such a LIAR that he actually tied to say he didn’t say what he very clearly said.  But yeah, you said it, you miserable turd.  And your “I didn’t set a red line. The world set a red line” just makes you even MORE of a disgrace.  And America’s credibility is GONE and we can’t get it back until you’re put on trial and executed for treason.

And the Islamic State that numbered a few hundred disgruntled refugees from the defeated al Qaeda in Iraq grew to seize its own caliphate while you claimed they were “JayVee.” And then like he coward lying weasel you are denied that, too.

It’s important to understand this history.  Because now we understand just how TREASONOUS Obama and his entire White House has truly been.  Here’s a headline and subheadline for you from the Daily Beast, which is hardly a conservative bastion:

Spies: Obama’s Brass Pressured Us to Downplay ISIS Threat
U.S. intelligence analysts keep saying that the American-led campaign against ISIS isn’t going so well. Their bosses keep telling them to think again about those conclusions.

We can go back to before the 2012 election where Obama was falsely and idiotically claiming that Mitt Romney was wrong about Russia being America’s greatest geopolitical threat and where Obama was claiming he’d decimated the terrorist threat against America and where Obama sent out Susan Rice to say on ALL FIVE national political Sunday programs that it was a video and NOT a terrorist attack that resulted in the murder of the first US Ambassador since 1979.  We now know for a FACT that these were ALL LIES.  Lies from hell from a pathologically ungodly man who will one day scream in hell for his wickedness.

Listen to this indictment – indictment of actual TREASON – against the Obama White House from the general who tried in vain to warn a fool about his folly:

A 2012 report by the United States Defense Intelligence Agency was direct: The growing chaos in Syria’s civil war was giving Islamic militants there and in Iraq the space to spread and flourish. The group, it said, could “declare an Islamic state through its union with other terrorist organizations in Iraq and Syria.”

“This particular report, this was one of those nobody wanted to see,” said Lt. Gen. Michael T. Flynn, who ran the defense agency at the time.

“It was disregarded by the White House,” he said. “It was disregarded by other elements in the intelligence community as a one-off report. Frankly, at the White House, it didn’t meet the narrative.”

“It didn’t meet the narrative.”  Because Obama has had a consistent narrative of LIES.

Barack Obama is the living embodiment of the prophetic words from Isaiah:

“You boast, ‘We have struck a bargain to cheat death and have made a deal to dodge the grave.  The coming destruction can never touch us, for we have built a strong refuge made of lies and deception.'” — Isaiah 28:15

And look no further than Obama’s incredibly wicked and incredibly deceitful deal with Iran as evidence of that fulfillment.  I guarantee you that Iran WILL have a nuclear weapon and WILL have the ballistic missile to intimidate the United States from taking action BECAUSE of Obama’s so-called “deal.”

Now in the age of Obama’s “leading from behind” NOBODY has the strength to stand up but the wicked, the tyrant, the terrorist.  Nobody can lead anything.  Nothing can get done.

2 Thessalonians 2:7 warned us that this time was coming just before the beast came to force the whole world to worship him and take his mark on their right hands or on their foreheads: the mystery of lawlessness, the secret power of lawlessness.

So we watch “ISIS” become “Islamic State” and a few hundred disgruntled terrorists who had listened to the words in Iraq, “We are defeated, don’t send any more foreign fighters,” – and fled to Syria to escape a President named George W. Bush – now beheading people, burning people alive, crucifying people, bombing jets with hundreds of people on board, launching devastating terrorist attacks all over the world.  And we are completely helpless against it and completely unable to stop it or even slow it down.  “How can this happen?”  And the answer is the mystery of lawlessness.

And it’s the same mystery of lawlessness that I see and feel when I realize that sixty million innocent babies have been brutally murdered by the Democrat Party abortion machine that sells their body parts like salami in a meat market.  It’s the same mystery of lawlessness that I see and feel when I realize that a president of the United States imposed sodomy perversion on a nation that once proudly proclaimed itself to be “one nation, under God.”  It’s the same mystery of lawlessness that I see and feel when I hear a politician booed and forced to apologize for saying that “all lives matter” as I watch Democrats burn and loot and riot while expressing hatred and contempt for the police officers who USED to enforce our laws.

And it all comes back to Obama.  He gave birth to the mystery of lawlessness and fed it so that it has grown into a raging monster.

There is a brilliantly prophetic article titled, “Brave Old World” that I have several times highlighted.  Written in 2008, it foresaw the consequences of a Barack Obama presidency.  The article ends with these words:

Yet globalization, in all its manifestations, will run out of steam the moment we tire of fueling it, as the world returns instead to the mindset of the 1930s — with protectionist tariffs; weak, disarmed democracies; an isolationist America; predatory dictatorships; and a demoralized gloom-and-doom Western elite.

If America adopts the protectionist trade policies of Japan or China, global profits plummet. If our armed forces follow the European lead of demilitarization and inaction, rogue states advance. If we were to treat the environment as do China and India, the world would become quickly a lost cause.

If we flee Iraq and call off the war on terror, Islamic jihadists will regroup, not disband. And when the Russians attack the next democracy, they won’t listen to the United Nations, the European Union or Michael Moore.

Brace yourself — we may be on our way back to an old world, where the strong do as they will, and the weak suffer as they must.

That’s the world that Democrats gave us and will continue to give us if we don’t come to our senses.

So Turkey – with its own agenda – just shot down a Russian jet that had the agenda of further wiping out the few moderate Syrian resistance fighters that were seeking to dethrone dictator Assad.  As we’re still reeling from that, we learn that a presidential guard bus was just shot up by terrorists in Tunisia with at least a dozen killed.  Planes are being blown up right out of the sky; people in Paris are being shot and murdered by the hundreds.

The world has spun wildly out of control and all Obama can call it is “a setback.”  And the only people Obama can actually summon the courage to become angry with are Republicans.

That’s another major thing about this cancerous president.  In his blathering words today that are nothing more than “sound and fury, signifying nothing,” Obama said of Islamic States’s Paris attack:

“This was an attack on the very idea that people of different races, and religions, and backgrounds can live together in peace.”

Yeah, Obama.  Tell that to the Little Sisters of the Poor whom you tried to impose abortion on in rabid violation of their conscience.   Tell that to the county clerk who actually was arrested and thrown in jail for refusing to marry homosexuals in violation of her religious conscience.  Tell that to the Christian baker and the Christian wedding photographer whom your ilk broke and financially ruined in their hate and contempt for anyone who thinks different from themselves.  Tell that to the white people who would be demonized if they started saying that “White lives matter.”  Tell that to the people who have been raped and murdered by illegal immigrants who can flee with impunity to sanctuary cities run by Democrats.

Obama, you wicked fool: YOU’RE “an attack on the very idea that people of different races, and religions, and backgrounds can live together in peace.”

For that matter, tell that to the millions of refugees YOUR POLICIES have forced to flee as more refugees are fleeing from more places than ever before in ALL OF RECORDED HISTORY under your failed policies that you idiotically say are succeeding.

The Brave Old World is gone forever.  Now we have Obama’s Cowardly New Caliphate.

And we aren’t even allowed to point out the fact that 99.9999999 percent of all terrorist attacks are being launched by Muslims in the name of Islam.  Because better to perish on our knees pleading with merciless beheaders than it is to violate liberal political correctness.

We are where we are now because we voted for Obama, and because a vote for Democrat is a vote for the devil and a vote for hell.

The beast is coming.  He is nearly here.  And every single Democrat will worship him and take his mark on their right hands or on their foreheads.

It Aint Just The Tea Party: CNN Poll Shows 56% Say Obama Government A Threat To Citizens’ Rights

February 27, 2010

Barack Obama and the Democrat Party, demagogues that they are, have tried to marginalize and demonize the Tea Party demonstrations from the very outset.

Well, the Tea Party is now 56% of the country on the issue of the threat that the Obama administration poses to freedom and liberty.

CNN Poll: Majority says government a threat to citizens’ rights
Posted: February 26th, 2010 09:00 AM ET

From CNN Deputy Political Director Paul Steinhauser

Washington (CNN) – A majority of Americans think the federal government poses a threat to rights of Americans, according to a new national poll.

Fifty-six percent of people questioned in a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey released Friday say they think the federal government’s become so large and powerful that it poses an immediate threat to the rights and freedoms of ordinary citizens. Forty-four percent of those polled disagree.

The survey indicates a partisan divide on the question: only 37 percent of Democrats, 63 percent of Independents and nearly 7 in 10 Republicans say the federal government poses a threat to the rights of Americans.

According to CNN poll numbers released Sunday, Americans overwhelmingly think that the U.S. government is broken
– though the public overwhelmingly holds out hope that what’s broken can be fixed.

The CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll was conducted February 12-15, with 1,023 adult Americans questioned by telephone. The survey’s sampling error is plus or minus 3 percentage points for the overall survey.

Sean Curnyn makes an excellent point about the issue of Democrats and independents and a “partisan divide”:

“While it says, “only 37 percent percent of Democrats” believe this, I would rephrase that as “even 37 percent of Democrats” feel this way. When you’re losing independents to the tune of 63 percent on this issue, you sure can’t afford to also be losing over a third of Democrats.”

This view that an overwhelming majority of the people – even Democrats – now feel that the government under Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid is out to trample their rights dovetails with an article I wrote last August entitled, “Health Care Debate: As Charges of Nazism Abound, Which Side Is Right?

In that article, I begin with the following:

Nancy Pelosi upped the ante in the health care debate when she responded to a media question in the following manner:

Interviewer: Do you think there’s legitimate grassroot opposition going on here?

Pelosi: “I think they’re Astroturf… You be the judge. “They’re carrying swastikas and symbols like that to a town meeting on healthcare.”

That being in addition to her reference to town hall protesters as “simply un-American.”

And now 56% of Americans are “simply un-American” on Nancy Pelosi’s view.

I’ve always got to point out the fact that “Nazi” stood for “National Socialist German Workers Party.”  And when the aforementioned National Socialist German Workers Party attacked the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics during World War II, it was a war of the left fighting against the left.

How do such leftists think?  They think in Marxist or fascist, totalitarian terms.  It’s just who they are.

You should think about that when you have uber-liberal Bill Maher articulating what essentially amounts to the Democrat reconciliation strategy for health care in an August 24 interview on NBC’s Conan O’Brien program:

“You know, they’re talking about 60 votes they need,” Maher said. “Forget this stuff. You can’t get Americans to agree on anything. Sixty-percent? Sixty-percent of people don’t believe in evolution in this country. He just needs to drag them to it.  Like I just said, they’re stupid. Just drag them to this.”

You stupid morons who believe that you have rights.  Screw you.  You should be FORCED to comply with the liberal elitist intelligentsia.

Only 11 days ago Maher was at it again on CNN’s ‘Larry King Live’:

“But what the Democrats never understand is that Americans don’t really care what position you take, just stick with one,” Maher said. “Just be strong. They’re not bright enough to really understand the issues. But like an animal, they can sort of sense strength or weakness. They can smell it on you.”

Maher isn’t an elected politician – which is precisely why he can say what he’s saying.  But he is attempting to articulate the rationale behind forcing the American people to accept an ObamaCare boondoggle that they absolutely do not want.

It’s not just the polls that prove the American people don’t want the Democrats’ health care agenda; it’s the incredible victory of Scott Brown turning Camelot Republican by promising to be the 41st vote stopping it.  In voting for Scott Brown, the citizens of even one of the most liberal states in the country were effectively telling the Democrats, “We don’t want what you’re trying to impose; we’re taking away your filibuster-proof majority to stop this from happening.”

But the Democrats don’t CARE that you don’t want it.  They believe you are simply too stupid to be allowed to make such a choice for yourselves.  They are going to exercise raw, totalitarian power over you for your own good.

Let’s see what reconciliation is:

  • It is “a change in the Senate rules” that “would change the  character of the Senate forever.”
  • It is “majoritarian absolute power” which is “just not what the founders intended.”
  • It is “the precipice of a crisis, a constitutional crisis.”
  • It evaporates “the checks and balances which have been at the core of this Republic.”
  • It is “almost a temper tantrum.”
  • It is the abandonment of the concept of “a check on power” and an     abandonment of that which “preserves our limited government.”
  • It is something that “will turn the Senate into a body that could have its rules broken at any time by a majority of senators unhappy with any position taken by the minority.”
  • It “is ultimately an example of the arrogance of power.”
  • It “is a fundamental power grab.”
  • It “is a tyranny of the majority.”
  • It is “where the majority rules supreme and the party of power can dominate and control the agenda with absolute power.”
  • It is a “naked power grab.”
  • It is to “change the rules, break the rules, and misread the Constitution so that they will get their way.”
  • It is “The Senate … being asked to turn itself inside out, to ignore the   precedent to ignore the way our system has worked, the delicate balance   that we have obtain that has kept this Constitution system going, for immediate gratification of the present President.”
  • It is “the way Democracy ends. Not with a bomb but with a gavel.”

If reconciliation is what these statements say it is, it is truly a fascist tactic that would only be employed by the most fundamentally unAmerican of totalitarians.

Only a genuinely evil and depraved political party would use such a despicable tactic.

Who said this about reconciliation?

Every single statement comes from Democrats as a result of Republicans merely discussing using the tactic to overcome a filibuster of a Bush judicial nomination.  Every single one.

Interestingly, Dianne Feinstein describes a progression which would start from a bad thing to an incredibly bad thing:

Dianne Feinstein 5/18/2005: The nuclear option if successful will turn the Senate into a body that could have its rules broken at any time by a majority of senators unhappy with any position taken by the minority. It begins with judicial nominations. Next will be executive appointments and then legislation.

The current batch of Democrats skipped the executive appointments and went straight for the legislation where they could most directly impose their will upon the American people.

Americans are stupid, you see.  And the rules shouldn’t matter when it comes to overcoming the objections of hundreds of millions of dumb animals, as Bill Maher calls us.

Cows are herded.  Whether they are milked or slaughtered, it isn’t their choice.  They don’t get to choose.

And don’t think this isn’t the pervasive Democrat attitude toward the American people.

At one point during the health care summit Barack Obama said the following to cut down a Republican:

“Point number two, when we do props like this — stack it up and you repeat 2,400 pages, et cetera — you know, the truth of the matter is that health care is very complicated. And we can try to pretend that it’s not, but it is.”

This referring to Rep. Eric Cantor, who had and was reading and referring to the very Democrat Senate bill that ostensibly was the very subject of discussion.

It’s not a “prop,” Obama.  It’s the bill representing the boondoggle you are trying to cram down our throats.  And while you might think of us as a bunch of stupid animals – just like Bill Maher does – who can’t possibly understand health care, we understand it just fine.  You don’t like Rep. Cantor reading it because you don’t want the American people to be able to actually know what you are trying to impose on us.

But it’s too late, Mr. Elitist-in-Chief.

A solid majority of the American people now understand that you, your administration, and everyone who thinks like you in government represents a clear and present danger to our rights and our freedoms.

The Democrats now want to use “the nuclear option” in a way that no Congress has ever even TRIED to use it before.

They think we’re dumb like animals.  But even the dumbest of animals can bite back after they’ve suffered enough abuse.

The scent of blood is in the air.

Catch you in November.

What Obama’s Speeches And The Emperor’s New Clothes Have In Common

January 28, 2010

Like the emperor’s new clothes, Obama’s speeches count on people determining that if they don’t see the wisdom coming out of Obama’s mouth, they’re fools.

When, of course, it’s only fools who think that way to begin with.

By HILLEL ITALIE, AP National Writer Hillel Italie, Ap National Writer Tue Jan 26, 12:02 am ET

NEW YORK – As a supporter of Barack Obama for president, former JFK speechwriter Ted Sorensen welcomed the young Democrat as a winning, Kennedy-esque orator who didn’t bore the public with “five-point programs” and lectures more fit for campuses than for campaigns.

But as Obama prepares to deliver his first State of the Union address, Sorensen wonders if the president hasn’t become more like the politicians he supposedly displaced.

“He is still a very eloquent, articulate speaker,” Sorensen says. “He is clearly well informed on all matters of public policy, sometimes, frankly, a little too well informed. And as a result, some of the speeches are too complicated for typical citizens and very clear to university faculties and big newspaper editorial boards.”

Authors, editors and speechwriters interviewed by The Associated Press agree that Obama is indeed a gifted and effective speechmaker, able to set a new tone with the Middle East in his Cairo speech or to turn public opinion, at least temporarily, in favor of changing the health care system after his address to Congress.

But even admirers have a hard time remembering what he actually says.

Ted Widmer, who edited an anthology of political speeches for the Library of America, praised Obama for his “masterful” style, but could not cite a specific line the president said. Similar observations were made by Jeff Shesol, David Frum and Harry C. McPherson, who wrote speeches for presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Lyndon Johnson, respectively.

“The speech he made in Cairo — I remember the intelligence, the breadth and the reasonableness,” McPherson says. “But I can’t tell you, and this is one of the shortcomings of the kind of speech he makes — I can’t quote anything, or cite anything, off the top of my head.”

“His speeches can go for pages without applause lines, making comprehensive arguments about particular issues,” said White House spokesman Bill Burton. “And though people may not remember particular lines or phrases from every speech, when he is done speaking, people always get a sense of who the president is and exactly where he is coming from.”

A distinctive phrase can define, or make history, like Franklin Roosevelt’s calling Dec. 7, 1941, “a date that will live in infamy” because of the bombing of Pearl Harbor, or President Ford’s declaration, upon taking office after Richard Nixon had resigned, that “our long national nightmare” was over. President Kennedy’s inaugural call to “ask what you can do for your country” helped inspire an era of public service, while President Reagan’s demand that Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev “tear down that wall,” the Berlin Wall, was a climactic moment of the Cold War.

“I think there are memorable lines in certain speeches (by Obama),” says presidential speechwriter Adam Frankel, who started writing for Obama when he was a candidate. “But what makes him unique as a speaker is not necessarily a single line but the overall story he tells and the seriousness with which he tells it and the trust he puts in people to understand a complicated argument.”

Frum and others warn that a speechwriter can be so eager to come up with a memorable quote that the overall text suffers. Obama’s preference for sustain explanation over snappy summaries is a good thing, Widmer says, because it means he’s treating the public as adults.

“Sound bites help people to remember a speech and think about the larger message of a speech, but they become a distortion if you only remember the fragment,” Widmer says. “You can end up with a situation like the presidential primaries where you’ve got eight people in an Iowa cornfield, all trying to have a striking single sentence in the middle of a speech.”

Geoffrey O’Brien, editor of the next edition of Bartlett’s Familiar Quotations, says that so far he has 12 Obama citings planned, but just one since he became president (though he says that could well change).

The passage he wants to include from Obama’s presidency comes from his inaugural speech, when Obama called the United States “a nation of Christians and Muslims, Jews and Hindus, and nonbelievers.” He could not immediately cite any other lines from Obama’s presidential speeches.

“Obama is very strong at sort of coolly laying out issues, which may not be memorable, but is effective,” O’Brien says. “When he was running for president, he had to draw on a more impassioned style. He was addressing huge crowds of people.”

O’Brien says that when he talks about Obama with young people the phrase they remember is “Yes, We Can,” his campaign slogan.

Fred R. Shapiro, who edits the Yale Book of Quotations, mentioned a few phrases from Obama’s inaugural speech that could make the next edition some years from now. He cites Obama’s insistence that “We reject as false the choice between our safety and our ideals” in the fight against terrorism, and that “a man whose father less than 60 years ago might not have been served in a local restaurant can now stand before you to take a most sacred oath.”

But Shapiro doesn’t think that any of his presidential statements have caught on widely with the public, certainly not at the level of then-candidate Obama’s private observation in 2008 that small-town Americans “cling to guns or religion.”

“The lines I mentioned from his inauguration have not become very famous,” Shapiro says. “And if they’re in the next Yale Book of Quotations, it will be more because they were borderline choices than because they were overwhelmingly clear-cut candidates.”

No presidential speech since President Kennedy’s inaugural, which has 11 mentions in the most recent Yale book, has been so quoted. A Kennedy-Sorensen trademark is chiasmus — what speechwriters call “reversible raincoats,” in which the second half of the phrase is a variation on the first half, such as “Let us never negotiate out of fear. But let us never fear to negotiate.”

The stature of Kennedy’s speech is one reason it hasn’t been matched. Shesol recalls an agreement among Clinton speechwriters that reversible raincoats should be avoided because Kennedy and Sorensen had so perfected them.

“I think it’s very important for people to remember the words. Words have power. A successful speech will resonate and phrases will provide a kind of power in the near term and the longer term,” Shesol said. “But, ultimately, it’s important to any president to be able to make continually clear who he is, what he believes and where he wants to go.”

Thurston Clarke, author of “Ask Not,” a well-regarded book on President Kennedy’s inaugural speech, wonders if Obama isn’t still reacting to criticism during the 2008 campaign that he was too good with words. His main opponent, Hillary Rodham Clinton, cited a quote from former New York Gov. Mario Cuomo that “You campaign in poetry, but you govern in prose.” Robert F. Kennedy Jr., son of the late attorney general and New York senator, worried about the limits of “poetry or lofty language.”

“I think he’s scared of appearing too polished,” Clarke said. “I think it scared him from giving a great inaugural address and I think that was a huge mistake because no president gets an audience again like he does for his inaugural address.”

Allegations that Obama is holding back are “not true,” said Burton, the White House spokesman. “That speech (Kennedy’s) was 50 years ago, only underscoring the point that these iconic moments are so few and far between. But knowing a couple lines is not the best measure of a speech and certainly not of the effectiveness of a president.”

And thus the uber-leftist academicians circle the wagons to surround Obama as his apologists.  We saw the same mindset for FDR: FDR’s policies were a complete disaster; even his own treasury secretary said so:

“We have tried spending money. We are spending more than we have ever spent before and it does not work. And I have just one interest, and if I am wrong… somebody else can have my job. I want to see this country prosperous. I want to see people get a job. I want to see people get enough to eat. We have never made good on our promises… I say after eight years of this Administration we have just as much unemployment as when we started… And an enormous debt to boot!” – Henry Morganthau, FDR’s Treasury Secretary, May 1939

In April 1939, unemployment was still 20.7%

You start seeing fools early in this article. For example, JFK speechwriter Ted Sorensen doesn’t seem to understand that other people write Obama’s speeches.  And other people do the focus groups to to inform other people in the policy department to determine what those other people should write in those speeches.  Obama delivers other peoples’ words well; he’s helpless when he depends upon his own “oration.”

If you have any doubts about this, watch our “smooth, polished, Kennedy-esque orator,” watch him blathering on like the village idiot without his teleprompter screens and ask yourself if JFK ever did anything like this:

The opening three paragraphs from this AP article assume the liberal thesis that if the man who has bored us with more speeches and appearances only explained himself, the country would be thrilled with his uber-lib big-government policies.

My very favorite line from the article is Sorenson’s thesis: that “some of the speeches are too complicated for typical citizens and very clear to university faculties and big newspaper editorial boards.”  Which is the emperor’s new clothes, part deux.  If you were really really smart like we liberal elites, you’d understand the masterful wisdom that is The Obama.

Obama’s speechwriter (hey, Obama doesn’t write his own speeches after all, Ted!) Adam Frankel talks about “the trust [Obama] puts in people to understand a complicated argument.”  So if you don’t think what Obama’s saying makes any sense, you can know in advance that it’s because you’re ignorant.

When Obama speaks, you’d better not see the emperor’s underwear, or you’re stupid.

Then this group of Chris Matthews-clones who said they got shivers up their legs when Obama spoke admit that, “even admirers have a hard time remembering what he actually says.”

I’ll tell you a little secret: it’s because Obama takes way too long to say nothing.  Obama is all “masterful style” and absolutely no substance.  And these postmodernists who themselves believe in nothing beyond the most surface of appearances end up falling for nothing every single time as long as that nothing is eloquently painted with polished rhetoric.

In The Emperor’s New Clothes, the overwhelming majority are suckered by a couple of opportunists to willingly participate in a shocking display of collective ignorance despite what should be obvious to any with common sense.

There is nothing new under the sun,” wise Solomon once said.  And so we are right back to the vain emperor and his vain illusion that reveals the pretentiousness, pomposity, social hypocrisy, collective denial, and hollow ostentatiousness of our own time.
