Liar Obama Demonizes GOP For Using Debt Ceiling JUST LIKE HE USED IT When He Was A Senator

September 19, 2013

Quote from September 18, 2013:

“You have never seen in the history of the United States the debt ceiling or the threat of not raising the debt ceiling being used to extort a president … and trying to force issues that have nothing to do with the budget and have nothing to do with the debt,” Obama said in speech to the Business Roundtable, a nonpartisan association of top American CEOs.

That’s very interesting, since:

Obama Sidesteps Question on Not Raising Debt Ceiling as a Senator
Thursday, 24 Jan 2013 11:22 PM By Todd Beamon

President Barack Obama at his news conference Monday on the debt ceiling  sidestepped a reporter’s question on why he voted against raising the nation’s  borrowing limit when he was an Illinois senator but now expected Congress to do  so.

CBS News White House correspondent Major Garrett asked Obama about a  “new adamant desire on your part not to negotiate when that seems to conflict  with the entire history in the modern era of American presidents in the debt  ceiling and your own history on the debt ceiling.”

In his 339-word  response, according to a transcript from the Washington Post, Obama never  addressed his voting history on the issue — beginning, instead, with “getting  votes for the debt ceiling is always difficult — and budgets in this town are  always difficult.”

He then mentioned how, last year, “certain groups in  Congress took such an absolutist position that we came within a few days of  defaulting.”

Obama added: “We have never seen the debt ceiling used in  this fashion, where the notion was, you know what, we might default unless we  get 100 percent of what we want. That hasn’t happened.”

And he  underscored how the GOP was doing the same thing again with the impending talks.  “But what you’ve never seen is the notion that has been presented so far at  least by the Republicans that deficit reduction will only count spending cuts,  that we will raise the deficit — or the debt ceiling dollar for dollar on  spending cuts.”

The president then reiterated his pledge that the  nation’s credit rating would not be held hostage to such demands.

“What  we’re not going to do is put ourselves in a position where in order to pay for  spending that we’ve already incurred, that our two options are, we’re either  going to profoundly hurt the economy, and hurt middle- class families, and hurt  seniors, and hurt kids who are trying to go to college, or alternatively we’re  going to blow up the economy. We’re not going to do that.”

But as for  Obama’s own history on voting against raising the debt ceiling, not a word.

Note that this pathologically dishonest man has been using the same damn lie over and over and over all year long.

Here are the facts against this incredibly dishonest liar:

While President Obama’s economic advisor Austin Goolsbee argued Sunday that a refusal by the Senate to increase the government’s debt ceiling (currently $14.3 trillion) would be “catastrophic” and a sign of “insanity,” that’s not the position the president has held in the past.

Here are Obama’s thoughts on the debt limit in 2006, when he voted against increasing the ceiling:

The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. … Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that ‘the buck stops here. Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.

In 2007 and in 2008, when the Senate voted to increase the limit by $850 billion and $800 billion respectively, Obama did not bother to vote. (He did vote for TARP, which increased the debt limit by $700 billion.)

Which is another way of saying that Barack Obama NEVER voted FOR raising the debt ceiling when George W. Bush was president.  Not even ONCE.

But Barack Obama is that particularly demonic species of hypocrite who says over and over again on issue after issue, “What was fascist for thee is never fascist for me.”

If in fact it is wrong to note vote for increasing the debt ceiling, Barack Obama needs to resign in disgrace.  Because he NEVER did it and in fact actively worked against raising the debt ceiling when someone in the other party was president.  If it wasn’t wrong when Obama did it, it most certainly isn’t so godawful terrible for Republicans to do the same thing Obama did now.  Unless you’re a true hypocrite – which liberals invariably are.

Barack Obama is the WORST kind of hyper-partisan ideologue.  Because he is a hypocrite without shame, without integrity and without honor.

A couple of days ago, while some dozen Americans were still lying dead at the crime scene after a psycho’s murderous rampage less than two miles away, Barack Obama gave a viciously partisan speechThe Christian Post summarized the sheer twisted ridiculousness that is Obama:

President Barack Obama was criticized for delivering a highly partisan Monday speech on the economy while the nation was gripped by a shooting at the Navy Yard in Washington, D.C., that left 12 dead. His speech had two main points that appear contradictory: (1) The economy is doing well. And, (2) It is the Republican’s fault that the economy is not doing well.

I would ask you to keep in mind that this is really nothing more than yet another of Obama’s countless “pivots” as he tries to distract Americans away from his blatant incompetent failure over the Syria fiasco.  That said, Obama is the kind of hyper-partisan ideologue demagogue who demonizes the other party for being “political” and being “divisive” when HE IS THE MOST DIVISIVE POLITICIAN WHO HAS EVER LIVED.

If in fact the Republican Party acts in ANY way like Obama has acted throughout his political career and throughout his presidency, they will try to attack Obama and stop him in absolutely every single thing he tries to do.  And they will absolutely refuse to negotiate just as Obama has absolutely refused to negotiate.  They will also utterly and completely contradict themselves while being just as utterly and completely petty.

The only difference is that they don’t have the adoring fascist media propaganda to protect them and spin the news to frame the narrative the way Obama does.

Apparently it’s wrong to act like Obama.  Except whenever Obama acts like Obama.

Don’t Trust Democrats On Debt Negotiations; And Trust Proven Liar Obama EVEN LESS Than Democrats

July 13, 2011

Barack Hussein Obama is a profoundly dishonest and evil man.  That is going to be a major obstacle to debt-ceiling negotiations.  Keep in mind, Democrats have ALREADY lied to Republicans in the past, promising Ronald Regan they would cut spending by $3 for every $1 dollar in tax hikes.  Democrats got their taxes, but then they immediately welched on their committment to reduce spending.  Reagan later said trusting Democrats was the biggest mistake he ever made.

Democrats proceeded to demonstrate that they are dishonest liars again prior to the 1992 elections that saw the end to George H.W. Bush.  Democrats promised that George Bush that they would not make the tax hikes they had coerced from him an election issue if we went along with them; but lo and behold Bush I was brought down by an avalanche of “Read my lips, no new taxes” ads.

Don’t trust Democrats.  They are bad people.  They are dishonest.  They can’t be trusted.  They lie.  Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.  And this would be the THIRD time (at least).

This is the kind of cynical, pathologically dishonest man Republicans are dealing with:

“President Obama had promised that he would not raise taxes on Americans earning under $250,000.  When asked whether the penalty attached to the individual mandate was a tax, President Obama said it was “absolutely not a
tax.” He also said “[n]obody considers [it] a tax increase.” Nevertheless, in an attempt to prevent the court from ruling on the constitutionality of the individual mandate, the Obama Justice Department argued that the penalty was in fact a tax. The Justice Department argument failed because the individual mandate provision was written in a way clearly to avoid using the word “tax.”

An ObamaCare item is absolutely not a tax in any way, shape or form until Obama gets it passed.  Then it becomes a tax.  Because he is a liar and an evil man who cannot possibly be trusted upon to negotiate anything.

Let’s also not forget that ObamaCare already added $500 BILLION in new taxes.  And now Obama wants to add a TRILLION DOLLARS more.

When it comes to the debt celing negotiations, Obama said of raising the debt ceiling as a Democrat Senator with a Republican President:

“The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure,” he said. “It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. … Leadership means that ‘the buck stops here.’ Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better. I therefore intend to oppose the effort to increase America’s debt limit.”

Barack Obama is a dishonest demagogue who doesn’t give a damn about the American people.  And that’s putting it politely.  Only a fool would trust him about anything, let alone a deal involving trillions of dollars in new debt and new taxes.

Barack Obama is talking vaguely about being willing to offer $4 trillion in spending cuts as part of a deal.  But at no time has he ever produced anything even close to resembling a specific concrete proposal.  It’s just a bunch of words from a documented liar.  Where is the Liar-in-Chief’s plan?  If there’s going to be any meaningful negotiation, the least Obama can do is bother to put out a plan on the table.

And when you’re negotiating with Barack Obama, just remember that he’s a liar and a weasel from a party of liars and weasels.

For Liberals, ‘Productive’ Politics Equals FASCIST Politics

July 5, 2011

It’s interesting.

I came across this headline and subheading yesterday in the Los Angeles Times: “112th Congress is one of the least productive in years: Fervent partisanship and the standoff over the debt limit are partly to blame for lack of action in the Senate and House.”

I thought about the implications of that.  And the sheer moral stupidity.

Imagine my friends and I are running your family’s lives.  And I assure you, “Don’t worry.  Every single hour we’re going to come out with new laws and new regulations and new requirements for you.  Every hour, on the hour, we’ll make it so you’ve got to do something you haven’t been doing, or you’ve got to quit doing something that you have been doing, or else we’ll punish you.  Because, after all, we want to be productive.”

I can hear you liberals cheering now: “Yay!  Ya!  Someone else is going to take over my useless idiot life!  I don’t have to think or be responsible for myself any more!  Thank you, Big Brother!  Thank you!”

As for those of you with moral intelligence, you would be appalled.

But that’s exactly what “being productive” means to the Los Angeles Times and to the cockroach army of liberalism.

As for me, my usual thought is this: “All we need is one more stupid law.”

As of the last count I could find, the U.S. tax code had ballooned to 71,684 pages in length.  Now THAT is productivity!!!

Rush Limbaugh had the following to say in his radio program.  I want you to note that it’s the same exact liberal script being applied:

Democrat Policies Aim to Shut Down America’s Private Sector
July 1, 2011

RUSH: Minnesota state government is closed. The Minnesota state government shut down at midnight last night, the victim “of an ongoing dispute over taxes and spending between Democratic Gov. Mark Dayton and Republican legislative majorities. Talks fell apart well before the deadline, leaving state parks closed on the brink of the Fourth of July weekend.” Oh, the tears.  You see how this works? Evil Republicans, state parks are closed, the little kiddies don’t get to have their snow cones and the sleigh rides, oh, no, no Fourth of July, evil Republicans.

The AP says that the shutdown in Minnesota puts road projects at a standstill, forcing thousands of state worker layoffs, and, of course, all of which we’re supposed see as a taste of the horrors the nation will face if the federal debt ceiling is not raised by Congress. That’s how all of this works.  For the record the AP has already rewritten this article and they’ve given it a new headline. The first headline was: “Some Noticeable Casualties After Minnesota Shutdown.” The new headline: “Minnesota Shutdown Prompts Political Blame Game.” And naturally the blame falls on the Republicans.

But the whole purpose of this story is to set the stage for what will happen if we don’t raise the debt ceiling in the whole country. The whole federal government will shut down, oh, the horrors of it all. And again, note what the AP highlights here as the things that are gonna suffer: funding for the state zoo, the Capitol, child care assistance for the poor.  Meanwhile, critical functions like state troopers, prison guards, the courts and disaster responses will continue, which should give the Minnesota legislature a pretty good idea what can be safely cut. But the newly elected Democrat governor insists on defying the newly elected Republican majority. It’s historic, by the way, in Minnesota, in both houses, the Minnesota legislature, Governor Dayton would rather shut down that state than consider any spending cuts.

What he wants to do is raise taxes on all those rich people who make more than $180,000 a year, meaning just about every small business owner in the state. And as usual, the AP hopes that Republican moderates will come forward to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Never mind that a record 600 statehouse seats went from Democrat to Republican in the midterm election last November precisely because most people decided their taxed enough already. TEA: taxed enough already. You couldn’t have a greater contrast.  Virginia is one of the highest performing states in the country, a Republican governor. What do you have here in Minnesota? A Democrat governor says achievers in his state are not paying their fair share. A Democrat governor, a Democrat president have reached the same conclusion. Job creators should do with less. It’s gotta be tough living in a blue state if you experience success. You got a governor, you got a president reaching into your pocket.

If these guys get their way, America is Greece, only much, much bigger. But here’s the thing. The Minnesota government may have shut down, but Minnesota hasn’t. Minnesota has not shut down. The private sector is gonna be open for business. The private sector is going to be making sales, paying taxes. If you really want to shut down a state, have the private sector go on strike. That’s when a state shuts down. That’s when the tax revenues begin to shut off.  If you want to shut down a state, if you want to shut down a country, then you take direct aim at the producers and the achievers, and that’s what liberal Democrats are doing. Barack Obama and these blue state governors treat the private sector like indentured servants. They’re parasites. As if they won’t pick up and move and leave to avoid all these onerous taxes and regulations. Every tax increase is an incentive to relocate or move assets. Ask Amazon.com.

California said, “You know what, we’re gonna start demanding sales tax on anything Amazon sells in California.” Amazon said, “Okay, bye-bye, California.” Again, the dynamic reaction to an onerous policy. Now, what do the achievers get for paying more taxes at the state and federal level? What do they get?  The people who make the golden goose golden, what do they get? Food stamps, public sector union salaries, benefits, dues, and pensions that far exceed anything seen in the private sector. That’s what they end up paying for and people have had it. They don’t want anymore of it.

If you want the “productivity” of fascism, vote Democrat.  When Obama, Nancy Pelosi and the overwhelmingly Democrat House of Representatives and Harry Reid and the filibuster-proof Senate were marching in goose-step, we got ALL KINDS of productivity.  We got a stimulus costing Americans and their progeny $3.27 TRILLION that was promised to dramatically reduce unemployment.  2 1/2 years later, it is higher than it was (7.6%) when George Bush left office.  Oh, and they socialized 1/6th of the economy and brought it under “productive” government control.

And, yes, that naked fascist power grab is the quintessence of “productivity” to a liberal.

Until Obama is driven out of office as the disgrace he is, the best possible thing the American people can hope for is a government that can’t hurt us the way it already has.

Until then, “productivity” will be measured in terms of how many new food stamp recipients we’ve added.
