Famed Liberal Legal Analyst Jonathon Turley Says Eric Holder Is A ‘Sin Eater’ Who Has Shielded Obama From His Treasonous Actions

May 29, 2013

Nearly forty years ago now, Republicans proved that they could rise above partisan political self-interests as they turned on Richard Nixon and ended the cancer of his presidency.

I don’t believe Democrats have that ability in their shriveled souls.  I think Democrats would burn this nation to the ground before they would prove that they can rise above politics to do what is right for the country.  But facts are beginning to shape up that may prove me wrong yet.  Democrats are now openly calling for Attorney General Eric Holder to be fired.  And this column by famous liberal legal analyst Jonathon Turley is simply powerful:

Fire Eric Holder: Column
by Jonathan Turley, USATODAY

Recently, Attorney General Eric Holder appeared before the House Judiciary Committee to answer questions about the administration’s sweeping surveillance of journalists with the Associated Press. In the greatest attack on the free press in decades, the Justice Department seized phone records for reporters and editors in at least three AP offices as well as its office in the House of Representatives. Holder, however, proceeded to claim absolute and blissful ignorance of the investigation, even failing to recall when or how he recused himself.

Yet, this was only the latest attack on the news media under Holder’s leadership. Despite his record, he expressed surprise at the hearing that the head of the Republican National Committee had called for his resignation. After all, Holder pointed out, he did nothing. That is, of course, precisely the point. Unlike the head of the RNC, I am neither a Republican nor conservative, and I believe Holder should be fired.

The ‘sin eater’

Holder’s refusal to accept responsibility for the AP investigation was something of a change for the political insider. His value to President Obama has been his absolute loyalty. Holder is what we call a “sin eater” inside the Beltway — high-ranking associates who shield presidents from responsibility for their actions. Richard Nixon had H.R. Haldeman and John Ehrlichman. Ronald Reagan had Oliver North and Robert “Bud” McFarlane. George W. Bush had the ultimate sin eater: Dick Cheney, who seemed to have an insatiable appetite for sins to eat.

This role can be traced to 18th century Europe, when families would use a sin eater to clean the moral record of a dying person by eating bread from the person’s chest and drinking ale passed over his body. Back then, the ritual’s power was confined to removing minor sins.

For Obama, there has been no better sin eater than Holder. When the president promised CIA employees early in his first term that they would not be investigated for torture, it was the attorney general who shielded officials from prosecution. When the Obama administration decided it would expand secret and warrantless surveillance, it was Holder who justified it. When the president wanted the authority to kill any American he deemed a threat without charge or trial, it was Holder who went public to announce the “kill list” policy.

Last week, the Justice Department confirmed that it was Holder who personally approved the equally abusive search of Fox News correspondent James Rosen’s e-mail and phone records in another story involving leaked classified information. In the 2010 application for a secret warrant, the Obama administration named Rosen as “an aider and abettor and/or co-conspirator” to the leaking of classified materials. The Justice Department even investigated Rosen’s parents’ telephone number, and Holder was there to justify every attack on the news media.

Ignoble legacy

Yet, at this month’s hearing, the attorney general had had his fill. Accordingly, Holder adopted an embarrassing mantra of “I have no knowledge” and “I had no involvement” throughout the questioning. When he was not reciting the equivalent to his name, rank and serial number, he was implicating his aide, Deputy Attorney General James Cole. Cole, it appears, is Holder’s sin eater. Holder was so busy denying responsibility for today’s scandals, he began denying known facts about older scandals, such as the “Fast and Furious” gun operation.

In the end, Holder was the best witness against his continuing in office. His insistence that he did nothing was a telling moment. The attorney general has done little in his tenure to protect civil liberties or the free press. Rather, Holder has supervised a comprehensive erosion of privacy rights, press freedom and due process. This ignoble legacy was made possible by Democrats who would look at their shoes whenever the Obama administration was accused of constitutional abuses.

On Thursday, Obama responded to the outcry over the AP and Fox scandals by calling for an investigation by … you guessed it … Eric Holder. He ordered Holder to meet with news media representatives to hear their “concerns” and report back to him. He sent his old sin eater for a confab with the very targets of the abusive surveillance. Such an inquiry offers no reason to trust its conclusions.

The feeble response was the ultimate proof that these are Obama’s sins despite his effort to feign ignorance. It did not matter that Holder is the sin eater who has lost his stomach or that such mortal sins are not so easily digested. Indeed, these sins should be fatal for any attorney general.

Jonathan Turley, the Shapiro Professor of Public Interest Law at George Washington University, is a member of USA TODAY’s Board of Contributors.

In addition to its own editorials, USA TODAY publishes diverse opinions from outside writers, including our Board of Contributors.

Jonathon Turley is outraged over Obama’s criminal and blatantly unconstitutional power-grab over the media.  I want you to note here: Turley says nothing against what Obama did to in criminally targeting at least 500 conservative groups in effectively denying them the right to organize as tax-exempt groups.  He says nothing about the fact that by some bizarre coincidence Obama’s EPA did the same exact thing to conservative organizations while approving liberal green groups time after time.  He says nothing about the cover-up that clearly occurred in the aftermath of Benghazi – during which the president and numerous members of his administration literally claimed that what the intelligence said was true (that Benghazi was attacked in a planned operation by al-Qaeda-connected terrorists) was false and that what was false (that the attack was somehow the spontaneous result of a Youtube video) was true.  Obama lied to the American people and had his underlings lie to the American people because if the people knew how wildly Obama’s foreign policy had failed, he would not have been reelected.  And Turley only alludes to the Fast and Furious scandal in which Eric Holder was cited for contempt of Congress over his outright lies in that matter.  And even the issue that Turley expresses his outrage – in the Obama-Holder campaign to suppress and intimidate the press – Turley doesn’t give the full weight of what Eric Holder did, such as lie to Congress under oath when he testified.

At this point, Holder is refusing to answer how many journalists he has used the power of his office to attack.  Holder’s – and Obama’s – claim is complete ignorance – as if ignorance is some kind of a virtue.

At this point, Obama has already repeatedly documented that he does not give a flying damn about the law (example: he refused to uphold the Defense of Marriage Act, passed by Congress and signed into law by a president simply because he didn’t agree with the law and viewed himself above the law) or the Constitution (example: he doesn’t care about the 2nd Amendment and now we know he doesn’t give a flying fig about the 1st, either).  As I have rightly stated over and over again, Barack Obama is a true fascist.  As is Eric Holder.

The major question is simply this: do the American people care?  Do they have the last vestiges of decency to demand that Obama and his pet legal pit bull go.  Or has America crossed the Rubicon of apathy that will see this once greatest and mightiest nation in the history of the human race soon sliding into the graveyard of nations.

I’d love to be surprised, but I believe the latter.

I don’t believe the American people as a whole have any such virtue.  Which is why the beast is coming, and which is why the United States of America will join the world in worshiping the Antichrist and taking his mark.

Department of ‘Justice’ Attack On AP And Now Fox News Reveals Obama Fascism Is Widespread

May 20, 2013

I’ve written it again and again before it was cool: Barack Obama was, is and will continue to be a FASCIST (see here and here and here).  It is more abundant now than it has ever been in American history that a fascist is our president.

As I write, the Obama administration is bogged down in three major scandals.  They tried to cover-up their failure in competency and ideology in Benghazi by covering-up who attacked America (terrorists, not “spontaneous protesters) and why THOSE TERRORISTS attacked America.  They have clearly used the IRS as a weapon against their political enemies by denying hundreds of conservative groups 501c4 tax exempt status (while not denying progressive groups).  It was a clear and obvious double standard and it was a clear and obvious politically motivated attack.  In the same way, the Obama IRS used “retaliatory audits” to punish and intimidate conservative groups.  Conservatives have horror stories as to how they were politically targeted by Obama for exercising their 1st Amendment freedoms which was followed by retaliatory audits from the IRS.  In fact, not just the IRS but NUMEROUS federal government agencies under Obama have engaged in a pattern of brutal government intimidation and suppression reminiscent of the days of Stalin.  In a clearly coordinated attack and rather like a pack of wolves, the IRS, the FBI, OSHA, and the ATF systematically targeted a woman named Catherine Engelbrecht whose crime was filing under our constitutional freedoms of speech to form a tax-exempt organization.  That is just one appalling case in a systematic pattern as some 500 organizations were specifically targeted by the Obama Chicago thug regime out of naked political bias.  The list of organizations that are finding out that Obama targeted them, also, is growing on a basically daily basis.  This same thug regime also illegally released the confidential federal tax records of American citizens to progressive groups that politically exploited the information that was illegal for them to have or use.

And they have began a war against the free press that is simply unprecedented.  As in never attempted before even by the likes of Nixon.

The Obama IRS targeting of conservative groups such as the Tea Party also included attacking Christian and Jewish groups as well as reporters who didn’t tow the Obama line.

Of that last story we began when Obama’s DoJ broke the law to seize the records of the leader in wire service reporting, the Associated Press.  Nearly two dozen phone lines involving some 100 reporters had their calls monitored without the legal requirement to inform the press of such intrusive and frankly UNPRECEDENTED monitoring having been met.

Eric Holder came out with this:

When asked if he understood why members of the media would find the records seizure “troubling,” Holder replied that the leak they are trying to plug was “very, very serious.”

“I’ve been a prosecutor since 1976, and I have to say that this is among, if not the most serious – it’s in the top two or three – most serious leaks that I’ve ever seen,” Holder added. “It put the American people at risk. And that is not hyperbole.”

Fascists always seize on a “crisis” in order to justify the seizure of more power.  It is simply what fascists have always done.

We immediately began to learn that what Eric Holder said claimed was a lie.  He claimed that the risk to national security was so serious that the Obama Injustice Department had to act in such a massive and unprecedented way.  But that was never true.  For one thing, the AP voluntarily delayed publishing the story in question until the federal government not only said it was okay, but until the federal government said that IT was going to go public with the story:

“We held that story until the government assured us that the national security concerns had passed,” AP President Gary Pruitt said in a written response to the Justice Department’s claims.

A report from The Washington Post appeared to give more weight to the AP’s claims.

According to the Post, the AP had been sitting on a scoop about a failed Al Qaeda plot at the request of CIA officials for five days. The morning they were supposed to release the story, journalists were asked by government officials to wait another day, citing safety concerns.

However, the CIA officials who first cited the security concerns said they no longer had the same worries. Rather, the Obama administration was planning to announce the success of the counterterrorism project the following day, according to The Post report.

But now we have another proof that Eric Holder is a liar without shame, without honor and without integrity.  We now know that, rather than unleash this kind of Stalinist surveillance monster for ONE media outlet in ONE circumstance that was “in the top two or three – most serious leaks that I’ve ever seen”, this Stalinism toward the media is an event that has occurred ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS.

It happened to Fox News, too, involving a different story.  Which means so much for the magnitude of the AP leak justifying the Stalinist means.

Report: Three Fox News Staffers Targeted By Justice Department
by John Nolte 20 May 2013, 10:20 AM PDT

Fox News reports that three Fox staffers, two reporters and one producer, were targeted by Barack Obama’s Justice Department. Fox doesn’t have all the details yet on reporter William La Jeunesse and producer Mike Levine, but their emails showed up in a IG report regarding Fast and Furious. Either their emails were leaked by the Justice Department officials they were sent to, or the email accounts of both were subpoenaed and invaded by government investigators.

The IG report does say that subpoenas were issued to obtain emails. Whose email was targeted is not yet known.

The third staffer is reporter James Rosen. The Washington Post‘s story behind that is downright chilling. What we have here is a case of the Obama Administration criminalizing reporting.

In June of 2009, James Rosen of Fox News reported that North Korea might respond to an increase in United Nations sanctions with even more nuclear tests. Rosen added that the CIA had learned this information from their sources within North Korea.

According to the Washington Post, upon hearing learning of Rosen’s report, the White House launched what many believe is an unprecedented leak probe that went so far as to criminalize standard news-gathering.

Because the Justice Department believes the source of the leak to Rosen was Jin-Woo Kim, a government adviser, he is facing federal charges that could land him a 10-year prison sentence.

But in their zeal to dig into reporter Rosen’s part in this (and supposedly firm up their case against Kim), the Post reports that FBI agent Regineld Reyes claimed there was “evidence Rosen had broken the law, ‘at the very least, either as an aider, abettor and/or co-conspirator.’”

After building their case against Kim, the Obama administration then went after Rosen, using his badge to trace his whereabouts in the State Department. But they also wanted Rosen’s emails. The Post writes that in order to do this, because of legal protections offered the media, the case had to be made that Rosen was a co-conspirator in a criminal conspiracy to leak national security secrets:

Privacy protections limit searching or seizing a reporter’s work, but not when there is evidence that the journalist broke the law against unauthorized leaks. A federal judge signed off on the search warrant — agreeing that there was probable cause that Rosen was a co-conspirator.

Rosen said the government never contacted him.

The thing you have to keep in mind here is that if Kim and Rosen did what the Obama administration says they did — it is something that happens almost every day between reporters and their sources. It is called everyday journalism; and the Obama administration is attempting to criminalize everyday journalism.

If sources are not leaking information to journalists, what is the alternative? Well, the only alternative is that the media write what the government tells them to write.

[Update: May 22, 2013]: And we can already see that this Obama Department of Injustice already has more proof of contempt for the Constitution and the laws that govern a nation.  It wasn’t just one rare case, it was a widespread thug political tactic to intimidate and suppress the free press.  Now we’re learning that it wasn’t just the 100 Associated Press reporters who used those 20 phone lines Obama bugged; we’re learning that it wasn’t just those 100 AP reporters plus Fox News correspondent James Rosen.  The Obama thug FBI commit slander against Rosen in an affidavit in order to see to it that only Obama’s lawyers could be present when they illegally wiretapped a JOURNALIST but bugged his parents, too.  Along with an as yet unknown number of Fox News reporters and journalists.

Eric Holder and Barack Obama went further in sliming and demonizing the role of the reporter than anything that has ever been seen in American history.  They literally said in the case of Fox News staffer James Rosen that the constitutional role of the media to serve as a check and balance against an out-of-control federal government is a crime.  They had to accuse the normal act of covering a news story as a CRIME in order to justify their Stalinist fishing expedition into a formerly free press.

Stop and think back to the bizarre wave of leaks that clearly came from the White House in order to spin the news in a way that would favor Obama.  It didn’t matter how many secrets and how many lives were at risk, then.  And then compare the same president who leaked all kinds of secrets when it was convenient for him to suddenly show his Stalinist fangs when the leaks didn’t politically benefit him.

Again, Barack Obama is the worst fascist who has ever contaminated the White House and tyrannized the American people.

And this nation will suffer for its sin in giving America a truly demon-possessed president.

Obama Vs. Gallup (When A Communist Dictator Doesn’t Like The Polls, He Has The Pollster Shot)

September 8, 2012

I wish I could label the Obama regime “Nixonian.”  But Obama makes Nixon at his worst look like a choirboy at his best:

Emails suggest Axelrod leaned on Gallup after unfavorable poll
Published September 06, 2012
FoxNews.com

Employees at the venerable Gallup polling firm suggested they felt threatened by Obama campaign adviser David Axelrod when he questioned the methodology of a mid-April poll showing Mitt Romney leading the president – according to internal emails published Thursday.

That poll showed Romney leading Obama 48-43 percent.

The exchange, according to emails published by The Daily Caller, started when Axelrod sent a tweet saying the tracking poll was “saddled with some methodological problems” and directing followers to a National Journal story in which a professor suggested outdated sampling.

According to the email chain titled “Axelrod vs. Gallup,” the White House in addition asked that a Gallup staffer “come over and explain our methodology,” which was apparently perceived as a subtle threat.

A Gallup official said in an email he thought Axelrod’s pressure “sounds a little like a Godfather situation.”

“Imagine Axel[rod] with Brando’s voice: ‘I’d like you to come over and explain your methodology…You got a nice poll there … would be a shame if anything happened to it… .’”

The exchanges also show that Gallup invited White House officials to its Washington offices, but it remains unclear whether any of the meetings occurred.

However, when Gallup declined to change its polling methodology, the Obama administration’s Justice Department revived a 2009 whistle-blower lawsuit against the firm by joining the suit, a senior Gallup official alleges.

The suit was filed by former Gallup employee Michael Lindley, who claims the firm violated the False Claims Act by overcharging the federal government for its services.

Gallup declined to talk about the issue. Calls to the Justice Department, the White House and the Obama campaign have not been returned.

Obama campaign adviser Robert Gibbs told The Washington Times this week that he was unaware of any communications between the campaign and Gallup.

You want an investigation about “methodology”?  This is EXACTLY how the Obama “methodology” works.  The Eric Holder “Justice” Department has repeatedly been sicked on anybody Obama has regarded as a political enemy:

Internal emails between senior officials at The Gallup Organization, obtained by The Daily Caller, show senior Obama campaign adviser David Axelrod attempting to subtly intimidate the respected polling firm when its numbers were unfavorable to the president.

After Gallup declined to change its polling methodology, Obama’s Department of Justice hit it with an unrelated lawsuit that appears damning on its face.

Obama has sicked Eric Holder on numerous states that had the audacity to try to get Obama to uphold federal law (whereas Obama is ABOVE the law).  Arizona and a lot of other states know what its like to try to suffer attack after attack from their own openly hostile federal government.

Obama sicked the NLRB on Boeing because it had the audacity to think it had the right to open a plant in right-to-work state South Carolina.

Obama flagrantly trampled over the rights of SECURED GM and Chrysler bondholders when he stole their equity and handed to his union allies along with $79 billion in taxpayer money.

Obama played the same game he’s playing with Gallup with Gibson Guitar that he attacked to intimidate them after they stuck their heads out by stupidly believing they had free speech rights in Obama’s America.

Just as Obama played the same game by attacking Sherrif Joe Arpaio after Arpaio clashed with him on immigration whether he had any legitimate grounds to do so or not.  After a three-year-long witch hunt, mind you.

Obama is described in terms of his “Nixonian quality” regarding his godawful treatment of the press.

And Obama is out to make Nixon’s enemies’ list look like a list of people to write ‘thank you’ notes to.

That’s not an exhaustive list, boys and girls; that’s just the stuff I thought of off the top of my head.  Obama is a Chicago Gestapo-style thug, pure and simple.

And so, lo and behold, what does Gallup give Obama next time around?  The Outside The Beltway title says it all: “Obama Gets ‘Big Bounce’ in Gallup Poll.”  What were the odds of that happening?

Of course, Obama’s stooge David Axelrod brought it to our attention: Gallup has crappy methodology and so the organization’s work ought to be ignored – especially when their work is coming with Obama’s gun to their head like it is.

Fast And Furious Democrats Step On Murdered Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry’s Grave As They Walk Out During Contempt Vote

July 2, 2012

Remember Elijah Cummings making the following sacred promise?

“…I promise you, we will not rest… we will not rest until every single person responsible for all of this, no matter where they are, are brought to justice… I promise you, we will not fail you.”

Other than being the vile little coward who held Nancy Pelosi’s hand as they stormed out of the vote to hold Eric Holder in contempt for his lies, for his obstruction of justice and for his withholding of documents that would make him and his boss Obama look bad, what has Elijah Cummings done to not piss all over his sacred promise???

What has Elijah Cummings done?  WHAT?!?!?

How has this liar who said, “I promise you, we will not fail you” NOT failed us?  What has Elijah Cummings done to do anything but further the obstruction of justice for Brian Terry and his family?

Who authorized this incredibly botched operation which put 2,000 guns in the hands of Mexican drug cartels, which murdered two American law enforcement officers and some 300 Mexican citizens?  What is that official’s name?  What has been done to hold that individual criminally responsible?  Who was the highest level official in the Obama administration who approved of this operation?

Here’s Nancy Pelosi floundering over the name of Brian Terry.  She had very clearly never bothered to speak his name before that moment.  Here’s White House mouthpiece Jay Carney having an even BIGGER problem recalling the name of the annoying little insect that Eric Holder’s guns to Mexican drug cartels murdered.  Democrats do not give one damn about Brian Terry or his grieving parents.

Democrats promised that they would not rest until every single person responsible for all of this, no matter where they are, were brought to justice.  Now we know the truth: they will not rest until every single fact and every single document are obstructed and buried and every single Democrat involved has been protected from justice.

Barack Obama, Eric Holder, Nancy Pelosi, Elijah Cummings and all but 17 Democrats in Congress have not done a SINGLE thing to get to the bottom of this criminal and frankly criminally insane operation also known as Fast and Furious.

And no, you Democrat liars: there is no connection between Operation Wide Receiver began and terminated under Bush and Operation Fast and Furious which has left hundreds of people MURDERED.  There is no connection between Bush’s Operation Wide Receiver which did not lose guns and Obama’s Operation Fast and Furious which lost some 2,000 guns.  There is no connection between Bush’s Operation Wide Receiver which controlled and tracked deliveries and Obama’s Fast and Furious which had totally uncontrolled deliveries.  There is no connection between Bush’s Operation Wide Receiver which tracked every gun involved in that operation and Obama’s Operation Fast and Furious which did not bother to even TRY to track ANY of the guns.

Please stop lying.  Please stop obstructing justice.  Please stop obfuscating the truth.  Please stop walking on the graves of Brian Terry and Jaime Zapata and get to the bottom of this no matter where the truth leads.

The Obama Presidency And Fast And Furious: Now We Know Why The Oval Office Is Shaped Like A Toilet Bowl

June 22, 2012

Two federal agents are dead after the Obama Administration literally put guns in the hands of Mexican drug cartel murderers.  More than 300 Mexican citizens are DEAD.  For two years, Obama’s weasel at the Department of Injustice has stalled and obstructed and flat-out LIED to the American people.

We know for a fact that Eric Holder and his Injustice Department directly and repeatedly lied in a letter that Holder later retracted after numerous statements were demonstrated to have been materially false:

Justice Withdraws Inaccurate ‘Fast And Furious’ Letter It Sent To Congress
December 2, 2011
by Carrie Johnson

Under fire for losing track of weapons that turned up at crime scenes along the Southwest border, the Justice Department has taken the extraordinary step of formally withdrawing an inaccurate letter about the episode that it sent to Congress earlier this year.

[…]

The February 2011 letter said that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives makes “every effort” to interdict weapons that have been purchased illegally before they cross into Mexico. It added that the allegation that the ATF had “sanctioned or otherwise knowingly allowed the sale of assault weapons” to suspicious people was false.

Both those statements turned out not to be true in the Fast and Furious operation, which targeted people who moved weapons to the violent Sinaloa, Mexico drug cartel during the Obama administration’s tenure. Republican lawmakers want to know who wrote that letter and have demanded “accountability” for government lawyers who allegedly misled them.

It is also a fact that no one at the Holder Injustice Department has ever been fired or even disciplined for lying to Congress.

And that is hardly the only outright lie coming out of the Holder Injustice Department.  And this lie directly proves that Eric Holder is a political ideologue who cannot be trusted to do anything other than cover his and Obama’s guilty-as-sin asses.

Let me summarize the fact-citing article below: the “Bush did it” claim is a lie.  It was ALWAYS a lie.  From an out-of-control administration that has NEVER ONCE accepted any kind of responsibility for ANYTHING for going on four full years now:

Holder retracts claim Bush team knew about Fast and Furious
June 20, 2012
Paul Bedard
The Washington Examiner

In a second major retraction over its version of the the gun-walking scandal, the Justice Department has retracted Attorney General Eric Holder’s charge in a hearing last week that his Bush administration predecessor had been briefed on the affair.

In a memo just released by Sen. Chuck Grassley, the Iowa senator reveals that Holder also didn’t apologize to former Attorney General Michael Mukasey for dragging him into the Fast & Furious scandal that is headed for a major legal clash and likely contempt of Congress charge against Holder.

According to Grassley’s memo, Justice said that Holder “inadvertently” made the charge against Mukasey in a hearing.

Here is the full text of the Grassley memo:

Re: Second retraction of Fast and Furious Assertions

Da: Wednesday, June 20, 2012

The Justice Department has retracted a second statement made to the Senate Judiciary Committee. During a hearing last week, Attorney General Eric Holder claimed that his predecessor, then-Attorney General Michael Mukasey, had been briefed about gunwalking in Operation Wide Receiver. Now, the Department is retracting that statement and claiming Holder “inadvertently” made that claim to the Committee. The Department’s letter failed to apologize to former Attorney General Mukasey for the false accusation. This is the second major retraction the Justice Department has made in the last seven months. In December 2011, the Department retracted its claim that the ATF had not allowed illegally purchased guns to be trafficked to Mexico. Sen. Chuck Grassley’s letter and the Department’s response can be viewed here-1.

In addition, the Justice Department released only one page of additional material prior to the Attorney General’s meeting on Capitol Hill on Tuesday. It is a page of handwritten notes by a public affairs specialist for the Deputy Attorney General, which the Department says it “just recently discovered.” The notes indicate that when Deputy Assistant Attorney General Jason Weinstein met with senior ATF officials on April 28, 2010, regarding the problem of gunwalking in Wide Receiver, the Deputy Attorney General’s public affairs specialist also attended the meeting. These notes can be viewed here-2.

The notes indicate that Fast and Furious was also a topic discussed at the meeting, in addition to Wide Receiver. These notes further corroborate contemporaneous emails in 2010 that show Criminal Division Chief Lanny Breuer and Weinstein seemed to have been more concerned about the press implications of gunwalking than they were about making sure ATF ended the practice. (These emails can be viewed here-3.) The notes also undermine the claim that senior DOJ officials failed to “make the connection” between the gunwalking in Wide Receiver–which Breuer admitted to knowing about–and gunwalking in Fast and Furious. In fact, both cases were discussed by senior Department leadership and senior ATF leadership.

Grassley made the following comment on these developments.

This is the second time in nearly seven months that the Department has gotten its facts wrong about gunwalking. Attorney General Holder accused Attorney General Mukasey, without producing any evidence, of having been briefed on gunwalking in Wide Receiver. The case Attorney General Mukasey was briefed on, Hernandez, is fundamentally different from both Wide Receiver and Fast and Furious since it involved cooperation with the Mexican government. Attorney General Holder’s retraction should have included an apology to the former Attorney General.

In his eagerness to blame the previous administration, Attorney General Holder got his facts wrong. And his tactic didn’t bring us any closer to understanding how a bad policy evolved and continued. Bad policy is bad policy, regardless of how many administrations carried it out. Ironically, the only document produced yesterday by the Department appears to show that senior officials in the Attorney General’s own Department were strategizing about how to keep gunwalking in both Wide Receiver and Fast and Furious under wraps.”

Claiming that Holder inadvertently blamed Muksey is like arguing that Obama inadvertently blamed Bush.  Bullcrap.  These weasels lie about their lies.

The Bush-era program involved and cooperated with the Mexican government, whereas Obama’s program did not so much as even notify the Mexican government that Obama was sending thousands of guns into their country; 2) The Bush-era program diligently attempted to electronically track every weapon involved and utilized “controlled delivery” of the guns to further monitor them.  A total of a dozen guns could not ultimately be accounted for.  Whereas the Obama program made ZERO attempt to track the guns in any way, shape or form.  Consequently, more than 1,400 guns were “lost” (i.e., were handed to drug cartel murderers) in UNCONTROLLED DELIVERIES; 3) Two U.S. federal agents (Brian Terry and Jaime Zapata) were MURDERED with guns that Obama put into said drug cartel murderers’ hands.  And 300 Mexicans citizens have been murdered with the guns that Obama handed out to drug cartel murderers.

In between the time on February 4, 2011 when Eric Holder’s Department of Injustice lied in his letter and the period in December 2, 2011 when Holder retracted his lying deceitful letter, numerous memos and emails were sent too and fro totalling about 1,300 documents.  We now know that there was a cover up that occurred at the highest levels including Barack Obama – who just issued an executive order to protect his cover up.

Interestingly, Obama had previously issued a statement that neither he nor Eric Holder had any knowledge or involvement with Fast and Furious.  So on what grounds is Obama now claiming privilege?

If the documents are revealed, Barack Obama will be impeached from office the way Nixon was.

But even after the Republicans dramatically narrowed the scope of their search to the cover-up of what is now openly and obviously a documented lie, Obama asserted executive privilege.

In 2007, our current Liar-in-Chief had this bit of pathological hypocrisy:

President Obama criticized former President George W. Bush for trying to “hide” behind executive privilege in 2007, after the Bush administration refused to turn over subpoenaed documents over the controversial firings of nine U.S. attorneys.

In an interview on CNN’s Larry King Live, Obama said there’s been “a tendency on the part of this administration to try to hide behind exec privilege every time there’s something a little shaky that’s taking place.”

“I think the administration would be best served by coming clean on this,” Obama said, after Bush claimed executive privilege on the issue.”

“I think” if Obama revealed his part in the murder of a federal agent and the murder of 300 Mexican citizens he would be impeached and possibly end up in prison.

There is no question that this administration and its Department of Injustice is pathologically dishonest.

As I said, not one individual at the Department of Injustice has ever been disciplined in any way, shape or form for documented lies to the Congress of the United States.  Who HAS been punished?  The agents who alerted the world to the fact that Obama was putting guns in the hands of criminals after American agents had been murdered with those guns, that’s who.

What pisses me off the most about this Obama program – you know, aside from all the people that Obama and Holder murdered by proxy – is the fact that Obama was FORCING gun dealers to sell guns to Mexican criminals over their objections while at the very same time demonizing gun dealers for illegally selling guns to Mexicans.  Which is to say that Obama wanted to force American guns into Mexico so that he could use the American guns in Mexico to overcome the Constitution’s 2nd Amendment protection of guns in America.

If the American people knew the truth about this, we would have our own Tahrir Square movement, in which hundreds of thousands of beyond outraged Americans were mobbed outside the White House demanding that Barack Obama be put in prison for his crimes against the American people.

You have to wonder why Obama let this process go on for two damn years before shielding his administration’s crimes and cover-up with executive privilege.  It’s like playing a game to the last move and then ending the game – and declaring victory – just before the other team can hit the winning shot.  But it’s no wonder he did.  Because the day we see those records is the day Obama will be forced out of office.

The biggest problem is that Democrats are liars and dishonorable people.  Consider the statement once made by Democrat Congressman Elijah Cummings about Fast and Furious:

“…I promise you, we will not rest… we will not rest until every single person responsible for all of this, no matter where they are, are brought to justice… I promise you, we will not fail you.”

What he meant by that was that Democrats would not rest until every single person responsible for Fast and Furious was protected and shielded by Democrats.  Because he’s now on the record refusing to hold ANYBODY accountable for ANYTHING.  He and all the other Democrats are in lock-fascist-step ensuring that no one will EVER be held accountable for Fast and Furious.

It is the fact that Democrats are dishonorable liars and hypocrites without shame that Obama is counting on.  Nixon never would have resigned if Republicans had been one-tenth as determined to protect him as Democrats are to protect Obama.

Weasel Obama’s Pet Weasel Eric Holder Tries Blaming Bush For Operation Fast And Furious. BULLCRAP!

June 13, 2012

As a dog lover, I’ve more than a few times heard people joke that they wanted to get a dog so their dog could have a pet.  That’s kind of what Eric Holder is to Barack Obama.  Obama is a weasel, yes, but he also has his own pet weasel in the form of Eric Holder.

Eric Holder is THE most political and politicized Attorney General in American history bar none, surpassing anything we saw in the Nixon years and surpassing even the Kennedy years when the president had his own loyal-to-the-hilt BROTHER on the job.  You would have to use powerful hydraulics to pry Eric Holder’s lips out of Barack Obama’s anus.  That’s the bottom line.

Is it Bush’s fault that Barack Obama and Eric Holder implemented and initiated Operation Fast and Furious (OFF) which resulted in

This would have been my two questions to Eric Holder had he stated that Bush was really to blame for all of this in my presence: 1) How many U.S. federal agents were murdered due to guns from Bush’s Operation Wide Receiver?  And 2) How many innocent Mexican citizens were murdered due to guns from Bush’s Operation Wide Receiver?  And 3) How many guns were “lost”?  Because if we ask that question of Obama, Holder and their Fast and Furious, the answer is that two US federal agents (Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry and ICE Special Agent Jaime Zapata) were murdered with guns from Obama’s and Holder’s program, with Obama’s and Holder’s guns being found on at least 11 violent crime scenes in the United States, and at least 200 Mexican citizens were killed by guns from Fast and Furious.  And 1,400 of Obama’s and Holder’s guns were completely lost to violent criminals due to Fast and Furious and it’s Obama/Holder primary operation known as Project Gunrunner which was begun in October of 2009.   Versus Bush’s Operation Wide Receiver, which had CONTROLS to monitor the guns and lost a total of a dozen guns – because OWR utilized “controlled delivery” versus just allowing guns to “walk” as Obama and Holder did.

None of the results of Operation Fast and Furious is George Bush’s fault or the fault of the program that occurred during his administration, Operation Wide Receiver.

Furthermore, NOBODY in the Justice has been held accountable for this fiasco by Barack Obama or his pet weasel Eric Holder.  In fact, Eric Holder has PROTECTED those involved and actually given them PROMOTIONS to purchase their silence (and here).

Finally, Eric Holder is a thoroughly documented liar on Fast and FuriousHe has officially lied under oath.  He has refused to provide Congress with over 100,000 documents relating to this evil Obama operation and in particular refused to provide particular documents requested by name.  One of his most ridiculous lies is that the “Fast and Furious” in his emails have nothing to do with Operation Fast and Furious.  He simply cannot be trusted to have anything to do with this investigation and should have already been fired for his role in the cover-up (which is why Obama is involved in this crime at least in the role of assisting in the cover-up).  Nixon resigned from office for the same crime.

Two articles on the subject.  Note that they are both a year old – because this stalling and high-level corruption has been going on FOREVER:

No, Operation Wide Receiver Does Not Excuse Obama Or Holder
By:John Hayward
10/7/2011 03:59 PM

After a long period of resolutely ignoring Operation Fast and Furious, the bulk of the mainstream media has been dragged into covering the “gun walking” scandal by the charges of perjury directed at Attorney General Eric Holder. Flailing around for something they can spin, liberals have suddenly become very interested in Operation Wide Receiver, a gun walking program from the Bush era. Longtime observers of the Obama scandal have long been camped out on Operation Wide Receiver’s front porch with a bowl of Halloween candy, knowing it was only a matter of time before the Left showed up.

The L.A. Times, which has provided excellent coverage of the rapidly evolving Fast and Furious scandal, is curiously negligent in explaining Wide Receiver to its readers:

The Times reported from Washington on Monday that the Bush administration managed a program similar to Fast and Furious in 2006-07. Mexican President Felipe Calderon took office in December 2006.

In that program, dubbed Wide Receiver, weapons were allowed into Mexico, just as later occurred in Operation Fast and Furious in 2009 and 2010, The Times reported. About 2,000 weapons were “walked” in Mexico and later showed up at scores of crime scenes, Mexican officials have said.

The Monday report from the L.A. Times didn’t really say anything about Wide Receiver at all, beyond mentioning its name:

In the emails that the department turned over to congressional investigators, Justice Department officials last October discussed both the Fast and Furious gun-trafficking surveillance operation in Phoenix and a separate investigation from 2006 and 2007 called Operation Wide Receiver. In Wide Receiver, which took place in Tucson, firearms also were acquired by illegal straw purchasers and lost in Mexico, the emails say.

The Associated Press made a much more explicit attempt to claim Wide Receiver was essentially identical to Fast and Furious, meaning the Bush Administration was walking guns just like Obama:

The federal government under the Bush administration ran an operation that allowed hundreds of guns to be transferred to suspected arms traffickers — the same tactic that congressional Republicans have criticized President Barack Obama’s administration for using, two federal law enforcement officials said Tuesday.

Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and other Republicans have been hammering the Obama Justice Department over the practice known as “letting guns walk.” The congressional target has been Operation Fast and Furious, which was designed to track small-time gun buyers at several Phoenix-area gun shops up the chain to make cases against major weapons traffickers. In the process, federal agents lost track of many of the more than 2,000 guns linked to the operation.

When Bush, a Republican, was president, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in Tucson, Ariz., used a similar enforcement tactic in a program it called Operation Wide Receiver. The fact that there were two such ATF investigations years apart in separate administrations raises the possibility that agents in still other cases may have allowed guns to “walk.”

The Washington Post packs its spin right into the headline: “Earlier ATF Gun Operation ‘Wide Receiver’ Used Same Tactics As ‘Fast and Furious.’”

Operation Wide Receiver came to light when Rep. Darryl Issa (R-Calif.) and Sen. Charles E. Grassley (R-Iowa) released new documents and e-mails this week which they said showed that although Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. told Congress in May that he had just learned about Fast and Furious, he had known for about 10 months.

That alleged discrepancy led some Republican lawmakers to accuse Holder of perjury. They have pounded on Holder over Fast and Furious, in some cases calling for his resignation.Their investigation of the program has led to the reassignment of the former ATF director and others, and the resignation of the U.S. attorney in Arizona.

But Wide Receiver, conducted in the Bush administration, has not received a lot of attention. According to Justice spokeswoman Tracy Schmaler, some of the e-mails used in the attempt to discredit Holder were referring to the Tucson case, Wide Receiver.

More specifically, Schmaler said that when the e-mails mention “guns walking,” they are referring to the 2006-07 Tucson case, Operation Wide Receiver. Schmaler said neither of the officials knew about guns walking in the Fast and Furious case.

(Emphasis mine.) Of course, “some” emails referring to Wide Receiver has absolutely no logical bearing on other emails referring specifically to Fast and Furious. I’m sure the next Republican Attorney General can count on the same kind of helpful spin and misdirection from the Washington Post.

Courtesy of Jim Shepherd at The Outdoor Wire, with a hat tip to Bob Owens at Pajamas Media, here are a few things the media is curiously forgetting to tell audiences about Operation Wide Receiver, which ran during the Bush years of 2006 and 2007 – and was indeed a bad idea, but not a monstrous horror like the Obama gun walking programs:

1. Wide Receiver was less than one-quarter the size of Fast and Furious, involving about 500 guns. About 450 guns made it across the border into Mexico. Not only was Fast and Furious much larger, but it was only one of several gun walking operations launched by the Obama Administration. In fact, intrepid CBS reporter Sharyl Attkisson says she has “found allegations of gun walking in at least 10 cities in five states.”

2. Unlike the Obama Administration programs, there actually was a serious attempt made to track the Wide Receiver weapons. Some of them were fitted with radio tracking devices. The cartel gun buyers figured out how to defeat the tracking system by driving around in circles, until the tracking planes ran out of fuel and were forced to return to base. Also, some of the tracking devices were damaged when ATF agents improperly inserted them into the guns.

By contrast, one of the signature features of Obama gun walking is that absolutely no effort to track the guns was ever in place. ATF agents have testified they were expressly ordered to stand down when they tried to follow the cartel straw purchasers. Whatever mistakes were made in Operation Wide Receiver, there’s no way to argue that Operation Fast and Furious was not much worse… because they should have learned from what happened in Wide Receiver.

3. And by “they” I mean “Special Agent In Charge Bill Newell.” That’s right – the same Phoenix ATF supervisor who became famous during the investigation of Fast and Furious was involved with Operation Wide Receiver. He’s also the ATF agent that originally told Congress that he mentioned gun walking in a roundabout way to his old buddy Kevin O’Reilly of the White House national security staff, who he communicates with maybe three or four times a year… only to be exposed as a liar when the same document dump that put AG Holder in jeopardy of perjury charges revealed a constant stream of emails between Newell and O’Reilly, lasting over a month.

4. Operation Wide Receiver was, by all accounts, shut down after its weapons dropped off the grid, and the ATF realized it had blundered. Operation Fast and Furious was only shut down because two of its weapons were discovered at the scene of U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry’s murder. According to congressional testimony, the Terry shooting – along with the mistaken suspicion that Tucson mass murderer Jared Loughner might have been packing a Fast and Furious gun – panicked top ATF brass into halting its gun walking operations.

5. The Obama Justice Department cobbled together significant inter-agency co-operation for its huge gun walking programs. As Kurt Hofmann of the Gun Rights Examiner notes, “At this point, we don’t seem to have any evidence that earlier ‘gunwalking’ involved the FBI, the DEA, DHS, the State Department, the IRS, and even the White House Security Council.”

6. And, of course, there was no massive cover-up of Wide Receiver. No senior Administration officials committed perjury to distance themselves from it. The ATF was not exactly advertising the existence of the operation, or its unhappy conclusion, but that’s very different from the thick stone wall Obama and his people tried to build around their far larger and deadlier operations.

In fact, a confidential informant named Mike Detty, who participated in Wide Receiver as a gun dealer, specifically told David Codrea of the Gun Rights Examiner that the Bush Administration was not involved in the earlier gun walking program:

The AP story said that under Bush this case was never prosecuted and it took the Obama administration to find this Bush debacle and prosecute.

The truth is that the first two AUSA’s assigned to this case declined to prosecute it because ATF, ASAC, SAC and above, lied to him and told him that the guns were being followed on the other side of the border. One AUSA told me, “Why would I take this case to court when I’d have to sacrifice my integrity and professional credibility because ATF screwed up so badly?”

There you have it. It had nothing to do with Bush or even DOJ at that point. ATF decision makers made the decision to devote 3 years worth of resources on a case based on a lie.

(Emphasis mine.) In summary, Operation Wide Receiver was a small-scale botched sting operation, in which a foolish, but faintly plausible, plan to track straw gun buyers to their criminal customers went terribly wrong. The Obama Administration used this disaster as a template, radically increased its scale, and turned it into something else altogether.

Far from letting the Obama Administration “off the hook” because “Bush did it too,” an understanding of the full Operation Wide Receiver story makes the Obama scandal worse.

Here’s another:

Operation Wide Receiver vs. Operation Fast and Furious
07 Oct 2011
by Rita Reno

Two wrongs don’t make a right, learn from other’s mistakes and don’t point fingers when you are in trouble are the mantras that most people hear from their moms. The Obama administration has broken all three of those in the ongoing scandal of Operation Fast and Furious (OFF).

In 2006-2007 the ATF devised Operation Wide Receiver while Bush was in office. The purpose was to track illegal weapons into Mexico and into the hands of the drug cartels. However, the guns all were fitted with transmitters for tracking. The amount of guns allowed to “walk” into Mexico were a quarter of the size of OFF. Only 450 were utilized and it was managed out of the Tucson office. However, like OFF, it was a failure also. The cartels figured out how to fool the trackers and sometimes when the trackers were placed in the guns they were damaged. This was a very bad idea and it certainly didn’t achieve the results they were anticipating.

Courtesy of Jim Shepherd at The Outdoor Wire, and Bob Owens at Pajamas Media, here are the facts that the media is not releasing about Operation Wide Receiver

  • Wide Receiver was less than one-quarter the size of Fast and Furious, involving about 500 guns.
  • Unlike the Obama Administration programs, there actually was a serious attempt made to track the Wide Receiver weapons.
  • By contrast, one of the signature features of Obama gun walking is that absolutely no effort to track the guns was ever in place. ATF agents have testified they were expressly ordered to stand down when they tried to follow the cartel straw purchasers.
  • Special Agent In Charge Bill Newell, That’s right – the same Phoenix ATF supervisor who became famous during the investigation of Fast and Furious was involved with Operation Wide Receiver.
  • Operation Wide Receiver was, by all accounts, shut down after its weapons dropped off the grid, and the ATF realized it had blundered.
  • The Obama Justice Department cobbled together significant inter-agency co-operation for its huge gun walking programs. As Kurt Hofmann of the Gun Rights Examiner notes, “At this point, we don’t seem to have any evidence that earlier ‘gunwalking’ involved the FBI, the DEA, DHS, the State Department, the IRS, and even the White House Security Council.”
  • And, of course, there was no massive cover-up of Wide Receiver. No senior Administration officials committed perjury to distance themselves from it. The ATF was not exactly advertising the existence of the operation, or its unhappy conclusion, but that’s very different from the thick stone wall Obama and his people tried to build around their far larger and deadlier operations.

A confidential informant, Mike Detty who was a gun dealer in Operation Wide Receiver, specifically told David Codrea of the Gun Rights Examiner that the Bush administration was not involved in the gun walking program. To me, that’s a moot point. The truth of the matter remains that we know for a FACT that Eric Holder knew about OFF and lied to congress when asked about it.

The other part that I can’t quite get a handle on is the fact that ATF and the Obama Administration resurrected a FAILED operation, made it much, much bigger than the original, ran it again and turned it into an EPIC FAILURE. Even with Bill Newell knowing that Operation Wide Receiver was a failure, he ran Operation Fast and Furious. Strike up the band, I expect we will hear a new chorus of the “this is Bush’s fault” song.

As of this date, Eric Holder says that he refuses to allow the appointment of an investigator that he cannot control and influence.  Again, Obama and Holder are criminal by Obama’s own standards:

Graham noted that as senators, Obama and Vice President Joe Biden had called for the appointment of a special counsel in past situations that involved Republican transgressions, such as White House leaks in the Valerie Plame case that revealed the identity of the CIA operative.

The current leaks were more serious, Graham argued, and Holder should do now what Obama and Biden had called for then.

These aren’t merely “Chicago thugs” holding court in Washington, as Bill Clinton himself once claimed. This is an ongoing criminal enterprise occupying the White House in God Damn America.

Barack Obama has shook his fist at God from the day he took office. And God will continue to damn this nation until the people reject him and his stink has been purged from the people’s house.

Voter Fraud Is Real: And Barack Obama, Eric Holder And EVERY Democrat In America Is A Dishonest Cockroach

March 14, 2012

Project Veritas put out an undercover video showing how easy it is to get a ballot and vote under someone else’s name without showing any photo ID:

That video is part of a series of investigative articles on voter fraud and how easy it is to undermine the democratic process.  I accessed it through this one:

Project Veritas Investigates: Voter Fraud
January 11, 2012

Dead men tell no tales, but as Project Veritas found in New Hampshire, they can still vote.

On New Hampshire Primary Day, Project Veritas sent a team of investigators into polling places with a list of deceased voters to see if they would be permitted to vote.

We tested more than a dozen polling places, simply walking up and stating the name of the deceased, and in all but one instance — where an alert poll worker actually knew the recently deceased — we were handed ballots.

While our investigators cast no votes and returned the ballots, there was nothing stopping our team, or anyone else, from illegally influencing the outcome of a presidential primary.

In fact, as shown in the video, Project Veritas investigators insisted on presenting identification in order to vote, but were told repeatedly, “you don’t need it.”

With the 8 vote margin in the 2012 Iowa Caucus, it is clear that voter fraud can influence the outcome of an election. It is important to note that Project Veritas’ team had the ability to cast more than a dozen votes in this latest investigation.

Watch the video for yourself here.

More to come . . .

(Unlike the establishment media, Project Veritas works to release full, unedited versions of its investigations and stories. To see the unedited videos from part one of the Voter Fraud investigation, click here.)

We just had an example of a Democrat Sheriff pleading guilty to voter fraud:

Former West Virginia sheriff, county clerk plead guilty to attempting to steal election
By Eric Shawn
Published March 07, 2012 | FoxNews.com

As the sheriff of Lincoln County, W.Va., Jerry Bowman is sworn to uphold the law. But the 58-year-old law enforcement veteran stood in a federal courtroom in Charleston on Wednesday and pleaded guilty in a shocking voter fraud case that has stripped him of his job and could send him to prison for a decade.

Prosecutors say Bowman and former Lincoln County Clerk Donald Whitten, 62, were part of a scheme to steal the May 2010 Democratic primary by stuffing ballot boxes with illegal absentee ballots.

Bowman admitted to falsifying more than 100 of the absentee ballot applications and even voting with some of the ballots himself, while Whitten, who also pleaded guilty Wednesday, acknowledged lying to investigators about the plan to try to throw the election.

“It makes you mad,” said Charles Brumfield, who ran against Bowman for Lincoln County circuit clerk, about having the election stolen from him. “It was hurtful. You just didn’t think that would happen in today’s society.”

Brumfield told Fox News that on election night, he was ahead by about 235 votes. That is, until additional batches of absentee ballots started mysteriously appearing, repeatedly, throughout the evening.

“We knew something was wrong, because the post office closes at 4:30 … you don’t go to the post office at 9 o’clock at night and find ballots.”

But for several hours on election night, “They kept coming out and saying ‘we found some more ballots’ … and they did this about three times from 7 to 11 p.m., and when the final tally was taken, we lost,” Brumfield said.

Brumfield was suspicious leading up to election night because he says he heard that more then 800 absentee ballot applications had been requested for the race, nearly six times more than normal number. He took the case to court, and after a judge threw out more than 300 ballots, he was declared the winner and was sworn in as the Lincoln County circuit clerk.

“An absentee ballot is a good thing, if it’s used correctly, the way it’s supposed to. And it wasn’t used that way,” Brumfield said.

The voter fraud allegations were investigated by U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin in West Virginia and West Virginia Secretary of State Natalie Tennant. An FBI agent and an investigator from Tennant’s office even allegedly had a gun pulled on them by one absentee ballot voter who is charged with making threats to kill them.

“We won’t tolerate elections violations,” Tennant told Fox News. “It makes me angry that someone would take our process, which is a good process, and attempt to manipulate it for their own good. … It is disappointing.”

“Voter fraud in southern West Virginia goes far and wide. It’s been bad my whole life,” the Lincoln County Republican Party Chairwoman Lisa Ramey said. She is now running for sheriff, and told Fox News that she once “saw someone buy a vote and get a bottle,” meaning whiskey.

“I’m appalled, disgusted,” she says. “We have good citizens in Lincoln County and we would like to have one, decent, fair election in our county, but I’m not sure that will be able to occur unless the federal government takes over the election process.”

She calls this voter fraud case, “the tip of the iceberg.”

[…]

After the plea hearing, Goodwin issued a statement saying, “A citizen’s right to vote is at the very foundation of our constitutional democracy. When votes are bought, sold or obtained by fraud, democracy itself is in peril.”

Election Fraud: If You Vote Democrat, You Are A Corrupt Dishonest Cheat By Proxy

Because you are.

And yet Obama Attorney General Eric Holder is bitterly fighting to prevent Texas from upholding it’s already passed and signed into law voter ID law.  Even though the Supreme Court has already ruled that voter ID laws are 100 percent legal and legitimate.

I say it again: if you vote Democrat, you are a corrupt and dishonest cheat and you want corrupt dishonest cheats to trample over America.

And all you have to do to prove me wrong is to (finally!!!) demand measures to weed out voter fraud.  But you won’t: because you are corrupt dishonest cheats right down to the cores of your shriveled little depraved cockroach souls.  And you want to benefit from fascist election theft because fascism is at the very core of your being.

And just to throw it in, if you are a Democrat, you are un-American according to scientific studies:

Just a brief exposure to an image of the American flag shifts voters, even Democrats, to Republican beliefs, attitudes and voting behavior.

A new Harvard University study finds that July 4th parades energize only Republicans, turn kids into Republicans, and help to boost the GOP turnout of adults on Election Day.

And there’s a damn good reason for that, you treasonous roaches.

Obama Department Of Justice Personnel Ought To Be Impeached For Crimes Against Humanity. Starting With Eric Holder.

December 9, 2011

Barack Obama and Eric Holder have murdered more than 200 people – including a U.S. Border Patrol agent – by literally giving the Mexican drug cartels thousands of guns.

This occurred in violation of both U.S. and international law.  It is illegal to traffic guns.  And our own federal authorities under the auspices of the Department of Justice trafficked guns.

Eric Holder himself has acknowledged that more people – more than the 200 plus already killed – will die as a result of this “operation.”

It is the legal and moral duty of Attorney General Eric Holder to thoroughly investigate every detail surrounding Operation Fast and Furious, find out who authorized this illegal and immoral operation – and not only fire that individual, but criminally prosecute that individual.

And yet Holder is refusing to do that.  He has demonstrated a contempt for Congress, a contempt for the law and for the Constitution, and contempt for murdered agent Brian Terry.

Eric Holder is a national disgrace as well as a disgrace to justice.  And so is Barack Obama for not firing him.

Behavior by Department of Justice Officials May Lead to Impeachment
Katie Pavlich News Editor, Townhall
Dec 08, 2011

It was a very uncomfortable Thursday for Attorney General Eric Holder on Capitol Hill as he testified before the House Judiciary Committee about Operation Fast and Furious. If it wasn’t clear that Fast and Furious was implemented as a way to push more gun control measures without the consent of Congress, it’s crystal clear now. Continued stonewalling from the Justice Department had Rep. James Sensenbrenner talking about impeachment

Ranking Member of the House Judiciary Committee Democrat John Conyers called for the enforcement of new gun control measures pushed through the Justice Department in July without the approval of Congress, requiring gun shops in southern border states to report multiple sales of long gun rifles. Conyers made it a point to adorn Attorney General Eric Holder with praise.

“I have never encountered an attorney general more dedicated and more effective than the current occupant of that chair, Eric Holder,” Conyers said.

Democratic members of the House Judiciary Committee continually asked Holder what Congress can do to stop the trafficking of firearms into Mexico, implying Congress should be implementing more gun control as a result of this program. During Operation Fast and Furious, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, under the jurisdiction of the Justice Department, knowingly allowed the trafficking of 2000 high powered weapons into the hands of Mexican drug cartels, yet Democrats are calling for more gun control laws that would punish law-abiding gun shop owners.

“There is a hole in our gun control laws that you could drive or fly a space shuttle through it,” Dem Rep. Hank Johnson said, adding that the National Rifle Association and Second Amendment supporters are “radicals.”

Holder called for support from Congress for long gun reporting measures, saying guns are easily accessible in Mexico because of the open flow of guns from America into Mexico. Holder failed to mention the U.S. government’s increased role in weapons trafficking between the two countries that has resulted from Fast and Furious.

“We have sought additional legislative abilities to deal with the gun trafficking problem,” Holder said.

In July, Townhall reported Fast and Furious was designed to promote gun control after obtaining an emailasking for a push on new long gun reporting measures. Holder was asked about the email and whether Fast and Furious was being used to push an anti-Second Amendment political agenda. Holder responded by saying the email was “taken out of context,” but also claimed he had never even read the email.

Congressman Darrell Issa (R.-Calif.), Chairman of the House Oversight Committee, was visibly frustrated the calls for gun control, saying this administration is more interested in building databases and more interested in talking about gun control than stopping gun and drug trafficking. Issa also made it clear that Operation Fast and Furious was not botched, as many media outlets continue to report, but that the program was carried out exactly as planned from the beginning.

“This was not an accident, this project was flawed and failed from the beginning,” Issa said. “Brian Terry is dead today in my opinion because of this failed program, but even today we won’t hear Justice taking responsibility.”

Holder’s misdirection of investigators about Fast and Furious was also at the center of questioning and testimony.

“My committee was systematically lied to by your representatives,” Issa said.

With the ongoing stonewalling from the Justice Department, Rep. James Sensenbrenner (R.-Wisc.) brought up the possibility of serious charges for Holder. “If we don’t get to the bottom of this, and that requires your assistance on that, there is only one alternative that Congress has – and it’s called impeachment,” Sensenbrenner said. “I’ve done more impeachments than anybody in the country.”

Holder was asked whether his department had lied to Senator Grassley’s office after a document dump last Friday showed Assistant Attorney General Lanny Breuer submitted false information in a letter to his office denying knowledge of gunwalking prior to the murder of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry in February 2011. In November 2011, Breuer testified that he actually knew about gun walking tactics as early as April 2010.

Holder responded by saying lying is a “state of mind.”

“Lying to congress is a federal felony. I don’t want to say that you have committed a felony, Mr. Attorney General but obviously there have been statements so misleading that a letter had to be withdrawn and I think some heads should roll,” Sensenbrenner said.

The letter submitted to Senator Charles Grassley was so false it had to be withdrawn, which Rep. Issa said is unheard of.

“We now know that some of the information provided by those supervisors was inaccurate,” Holder said. “Nobody in the Justice Department lied.”

Holder also gave himself numerous pats on the back for his response to Fast and Furious.

“I took action to ensure accountability,” Holder said. “Unacceptable tactics were adopted as part of Operation Fast and Furious.”

Nobody in the Justice Department has been fired for their involvement in Fast and Furious, which has left more than 300 innocent Mexican citizens dead and led to the murders of two U.S. federal agents. Fast and Furious guns have also been used to kill Mexican government officials. Agents within DOJ and ATF have been promoted after Fast and Furious, not held accountable, while the lives of whistleblowers are being ruined through DOJ retaliation. Holder was asked about how many murders have occurred in Mexico as a result of Fast and Furious and couldn’t give a direct response. He didn’t know the figures.

The president has said he has full confidence in this Attorney General. I have no confidence in a president who has full confidence in an attorney general who has in fact not terminated or dealt with the individuals, including key lieutenants, who from the very beginning had some knowledge and long before Brian Terry was gun downed, knew enough to stop this program,” Issa said. “Mr. Attorney General, the blame must go to your desk and you must today take real responsibility. Why haven’t you terminated the many people involved? Why is it that we’re still hearing about inconsistencies that don’t even take the correct responsibility for Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry’s death?”

Holder once again tried to pin responsibility for Fast and Furious on ATF field agents, saying this “wasn’t a top to bottom,” operation.

Rep. Jason Chaffetz asked Holder if he had spoken to Department of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Mexican President Felipe Calderon, Mexican Attorney General or President Obama about Fast and Furious and Holder responded no.

Photobucket

“The answers that you have given so far are basically saying well ‘gee somebody else did it.’ There really is no responsibility in the Justice Department,” Sensenbrenner told Holder. Holder claimed he has been in contact with the Terry family to bring him justice. He has not. It took Holder nearly a year to apologize to the Terry family for the murder of their son, but leaked the apology email to the press before it even reached the family, proving Holder was more concerned with his public image than really apologizing. In testimony today, Holder said he was outraged about Terry’s death, yet hasn’t shown outrage. Despite Eric Holder and President Obama wishing that this year long scandal would just go away, the investigation into Fast and Furious isn’t going away any time soon. The House Oversight Committee just launched a brand new website, FastandFuriousinvestigation.com, solely dedicated providing information about the investigation of Fast and Furious.

The questions we have about Brian Terry’s death remain unanswered; people remain unaccountable for their lethal decisions.

“No house has been cleaned,” Issa said.

Obama is as arrogant and narcissistic as he is evil.  He’ll dump his lawdog – a lawdog who is loyal to the Obama agenda rather than to the actual law – if and when he senses that Holder is a liability to his chance of getting re-elected.  But until then, it doesn’t matter how incompetent or how corrupt Eric Holder or the Obama Department of Injustice is.

Obama Keeps Governing By Crisis; Used ‘Fast And Furious’ As Ploy To Take Away Our Right To Keep And Bear Arms

December 8, 2011

First of all, it is simply a fact that Barack Obama has been seeking to take away our constitutionally-guaranteed right to guns.

I pointed out in April of 2009 that Obama was using a crisis that we now know that HE CREATED to abolish guns.  What did I say back then???

So the obvious question is, why is the American media, and why are Democratic politicians, blaming America and blaming American guns for the problems in Mexico?

And the answer is as obvious as it is disturbing: because they despise the American Constitution, and in particular they despise the 2nd Amendment which guarantees the rights of citizens to keep and bear arms.

Barack Obama’s Attorney General, Eric Holder, is just one among many Democrats citing the situation in Mexico to impose gun controls in the United States. Fortunately, a small cadre of Democrats have joined Republicans in their opposition to using the lies over the deteriorating situation in Mexico to impose anti-Constitutional laws on American citizens.

We need to point the finger at Obama, at his attorney general, at his secretary of state, and at every other politician who is demagoguing and lying to take away our Constitutionally-guaranteed rights and freedoms.

We have recently had a series of terrible mass murders involving guns, and many liberals will invariably cite these as proofs that we should take away gun rights from Americans. I know three things: 1) that the founding fathers guaranteed the right of citizens to keep guns as a deterrent against tyranny, and that – given the unprecedented power-grabbing of this government – this right is more crucial than ever; 2) that taking away guns from law-abiding citizens will merely ensure that only criminals have them to terrorize the innocent; and 3) that the unarmed victims of the shooting rampages wished they had weapons when the psychopaths came in shooting. Wishing that the psychopaths didn’t have guns is as much wishful thinking as wishing that there weren’t any psychopaths to begin with. In times of danger and uncertainty, Americans don’t need wishful thinking; they need the means to defend themselves and their homes and families.

Please also see my article here.

This was an Obama-regime manufactured crisis, we now know.  Barack Obama, Erick Holder and Hillary Clinton – among numerous other Democrats and members of the Obama administration – demonized gun dealers for selling guns that ended up going to Mexico.  But what we now know for a documented FACT is that the same people who were demonizing those gun dealers were in point of fact the ones who were making them do the very thing they subsequently demonized them for doing.

New e-mails: ATF officials discussed using Fast & Furious to … push gun control
posted at 4:15 pm on December 7, 2011 by Allahpundit

The logical extension of Rahm’s famous remark about never letting a serious crisis go to waste. If a grave problem is an opportunity to push your agenda, imagine how much farther you can push it by making the problem graver.

Another F&F bombshell from CBS’s Sharyl Attkisson:

ATF officials didn’t intend to publicly disclose their own role in letting Mexican cartels obtain the weapons, but emails show they discussed using the sales, including sales encouraged by ATF, to justify a new gun regulation called “Demand Letter 3″. That would require some U.S. gun shops to report the sale of multiple rifles or “long guns.” Demand Letter 3 was so named because it would be the third ATF program demanding gun dealers report tracing information.

On July 14, 2010 after ATF headquarters in Washington D.C. received an update on Fast and Furious, ATF Field Ops Assistant Director Mark Chait emailed Bill Newell, ATF’s Phoenix Special Agent in Charge of Fast and Furious:

“Bill – can you see if these guns were all purchased from the same (licensed gun dealer) and at one time. We are looking at anecdotal cases to support a demand letter on long gun multiple sales. Thanks.”

On Jan. 4, 2011, as ATF prepared a press conference to announce arrests in Fast and Furious, Newell saw it as “(A)nother time to address Multiple Sale on Long Guns issue.” And a day after the press conference, Chait emailed Newell: “Bill–well done yesterday… (I)n light of our request for Demand letter 3, this case could be a strong supporting factor if we can determine how many multiple sales of long guns occurred during the course of this case.”

Follow the link and read the e-mails from a participating gun dealer to the ATF asking for a letter affirming that he was only selling these weapons at the agency’s behest. He was worried that the sales were shady and wanted legal cover in case the bureau later turned around and decided that the dealers were “irresponsible” or whatever in making the sales — which was awfully prescient given the ATF’s subsequent political opportunism. But then, none of this is surprising: Congressional Democrats and even Eric Holder himself have already used F&F as a pretext to call for more gun control. I thought the sleaziest bit of White House scandal spin we’d see this year was the Energy Department asking Solyndra to hold off on layoffs until after election day in 2010. Nope: Per the new F&F e-mails, they’re actually using their own scandals now as a pretext for greater regulation. Says Dan McLaughlin, “Obama Administration once again lives down to every paranoid caricature of itself.”

Darrell Issa said today he’s going to press Holder at tomorrow’s hearing to “clean house” at the DOJ. Chuck Grassley, for one, knows just where to start.

What does the 2nd Amendment say?

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

Democrats – who frankly don’t give one flying damn about the Constitution – have fixated on the word “militia” and ignored the words “the people.”   They claim that only a “militia” can keep and bear arms.

But since the 2nd Amendment also clearly includes the words “the right of the people,” it seem obvious to me that we should take away other rights given to “the people” and only apply those rights to a militia, such as the right to peacebly assemble (we’ve already seen what damage liberals do when given such rights at the Occupy Movement disasters anyway, right?) or to petition the government for the redress of greivances (1st Amendment).  Or to have the right not to have their persons, papers and effects unreasonably searched (4th Amendment).  And of course I could go on.  Only militia members should get such rights.  Only THEY count as “the people” according to Democrats’ understanding of the 2nd Amendment.

Basically, Democrats should have all of their rights and freedoms denied to them, because if only a militia has the right to keep and bear arms, then only a damn militia has the right to do anything ELSE “the people” have a right to.

We could have a “Hunt Every Democrat Down With Dogs and Burn Them Alive Act,” and then allow our rightwing militias to exercise that duty.  Because only such militias count as “the people” by the Democrats’ own dumbass reasoning, and it’s way past time we were finally consisitent, isn’t it???

Meanwhile this same son of a bitch who is trying to take away our 2nd Amendment rights is trying to take away our 1st Amendment rights even as he demands rights for militant homosexuals.

I am beyond sick of Obama and his “govern by crisis” fascism.

Jonah Goldberg nailed it in his Liberal Fascism, which was published before Obama took power and which describes his style of governance to a ‘T’:

“The utility of terror was multifaceted, but among its chief benefits was its tendency to maintain a permanent sense of crisisCrisis is routinely identified as a core mechanism of fascism because it short-circuits debate and democratic deliberation.  Hence all fascistic movements commit considerable energy to prolonging a heightened state of emergency.” — page 42

I am beyond sick of Obama creating one crisis after another as one after another of his policies totally fails, and then demanding that because of all the failures he’s created we should do even MORE to destroy our country.

This is and will continue to be God damn America until this weasel and everyone who thinks like him is out of our government for good.

Obama DOJ Now Forced To Admit It LIED To United States Senate

December 5, 2011

Here’s some of what Republican Charles Grassley wrote about this far worse-than-Watergate (the Plummers didn’t murder any federal agents, let alone 200 innocent people) scandal:

The letter which Deputy Assistant Attorney General Jason Weinstein participated in drafting, and which Assistant Attorney General Lanny Breuer was sent drafts of, stated: “ATF makes every effort to interdict weapons that have been purchased illegally and prevent their transportation to Mexico.” Weinstein knew this was clearly false because he knew about gunwalking in Operation Wide Receiver, which he brought to Breuer’s attention in April 2010. Had Breuer read this letter (he is unclear if he read it), he would have known this sentence was false as well.—Senator Charles Grassley

Obama’s US Attorney for Arizona, Dennis Burke, had been saying demonizing crap about Grassley like:

Grassley’s assertions regarding the Arizona investigation and the weapons recovered at the BP Agent Terry murder scene are based on categorical falsehoods. I worry that ATF will take 8 months to answer this when they should be refuting its underlying accusations right now.”—Dennis Burke (former) U.S. Attorney for Arizona

He said demonizing and self-righteous crap about Grassley like:

“I am so personally outraged by Senator Grassley’s falsehoods,” former Arizona U.S. Attorney Dennis Burke wrote in an email regarding the allegation that a weapon connected to the ATF operation was found at the murder scene of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry. “It is one of the lowest acts I have ever seen in politics.”

But you see, Grassley isn’t the one with the integrity problem.  It is everybody who has anything whatsoever to do with Barack Hussein Obama and Eric Holder.

The Attorney General and his office is a bunch of documented LIARS.  It is now officially the Department of INJUSTICE under Obama and his stooge Eric Holder.

The New York Post has this denunciation of the Obama Attorney General’s Office:

It was all a lie. The angry denials, the high dudgeon, the how-dare-you accuse-us bleating emanating from Eric Holder’s Justice Department these last nine months.

Operation Fast and Furious — the “botched” gun-tracking program run by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives did, in fact, deliberately allow some 2,000 high-powered weapons to be sold to Mexican drug cartel agents and then waltzed across the border and into the Mexican drug wars — just as Sen. Chuck Grassley and Rep. Darrell Issa, who are leading the congressional investigations, have charged all along.

Michael Walsh concludes his piece by saying:

It’s time for the months of lies to end — but don’t hold your breath. The administration recently sealed the court records relating to agent Terry’s murder and — a year later — the one man arrested hasn’t been tried.”

Obama Attorney General Eric Holder is essentially trying to argue at this point that, “Okay, I’m a liar, and you’ve caught me telling lies. But like my boss who blames everything on Bush, it was really some other guy’s fault.

DOJ Details How it Lied About Fast and Furious to Senate Judiciary Committee
Posted on December 3, 2011 by

Yesterday night, the Justice Department released nearly 1,400 internal documents and e-mails showing in tortuous detail how a February 4, 2011 letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee came to have misrepresentations about Operation Fast and Furious. The letter stated that the ATF had made every effort to interdict guns before they reached Mexico, and that it had never allowed straw purchases to occur. Both these assertions have proven to be false. Knowingly lying to Congress is a criminal offense, so this document dump should be taken as an attempt by high level Justice Department officials to avoid prosecution, and shift the blame to others.

The documents appear to show, as reported by NPR, that:

— The basis for the inaccurate statements in the letter appears to have originated among people in the U.S. Attorney’s office in Arizona and among ATF officials earlier this year … Also at the meeting were the ATF’s top congressional liaison and a high level deputy named Billy Hoover … the U.S. Attorney’s office in Arizona passed along inaccurate information about the length of the gun trafficking operation and the timing of when guns were purchased.

— Jason Weinstein, a senior aide in the Justice Department’s criminal division, played a key role in drafting the February 2011 letter … Justice officials say Weinstein relied on the ATF and the U.S. Attorney’s Office in drafting the letter.

— Justice Department Criminal Division chief Lanny Breuer received draft copies of the Feb. 4, 2011 letter from Weinstein and forwarded those messages to his personal email account, which he didn’t share in recent congressional testimony about questionable ATF tactics in gun cases. However, Breuer writes in new correspondence to Congress Friday that “I cannot say for sure whether I saw a draft of the letter…I have no recollection of having done so and given that I was on official travel that week and given the scope of my duties as Assistant Attorney General, I think it is exceedingly unlikely that I did so.” …

— Former Arizona U.S. Attorney Dennis Burke, who resigned in August as the gun trafficking scandal intensified, repeatedly urged Justice officials in Washington to “push back” against “categorical falsehoods” coming from whistleblowers inside the ATF and from members of Congress. Burke also had some choice words for Sen. Grassley’s staff, which he said were “acting as willing stooges for the Gun Lobby” and “lobbing this reckless despicable accusation” about ATF. In another message, he tells a colleague that the congressional accusations are “among the lowest acts I have ever seen in politics.” …

In short, the DOJ is trying to say that Dennis Burke and William Hoover provided the false information, that Jason Weinstein drafted the letter but was relying purely on information from Burke and Hoover, and that while Lanny Breuer may have been cc’d drafts of the letter, he cannot remember actually reading those drafts. Meanwhile, Eric Holder was not even involved.

This is all really convenient for Breuer and Holder, as Burke has since resigned, and Hoover–a Deputy Director of the ATF–has been reassigned.

When bureaucrats release a blizzard of documents, there is always the question of whether they are using the sheer number of documents being released to obscure the fact that some important documents are still being withheld.

In particular, we still do not know who authorized Operation Fast and Furious in the first place. According to Justice Department protocol and procedures, it would appear that such an operation would have had to have been approved by both Breuer and Holder, and possibly even signed off on by the President himself. If this is so, then the document trail released today is all subterfuge. The most important internal document–the one that has so far not surfaced–is the one showing who approved of this operation. All these other documents might as well be Christmas decorations.

Two federal agents and more than 200 innocent civilians were murdered as a result of illegal gun purchases overseen and allowed by the ATF.

The classic Watergate question applies here: What did Obama or his stooge Eric Holder know and when did he know it?  How far up the Obama sewer did this mess go?  Who authorized this stupid and evil program?

We now know that the DoJ statement about not knowing about Fast and Furious was utterly false.  And we now know that the Obama White House is now saying “we’re withdrawing this letter” that documents the fact that they are LIARS.  We also know that the Obama White House is doing everything it can to stonewall and deceive and lie.
