Schumer, Democrats Goose-Stepping To Their Fuhrers’ Marching Orders

March 31, 2011

When Charles Schumer’s caucus gives marching orders, Charles Schumer knows exactly how to proceed: “Jawohl, mein Fuhrer!”

Even the New York Times of all sources affirms this was  an incredibly stupid display.  But it is an incredibly stupid act that reveals that the Democrats are strickly a Big Brother-style operation.  And that Republicans are their Immanuel Goldstein.

On a Senate Call, a Glimpse of Marching Orders
By JENNIFER STEINHAUER
4:58 p.m. | Updated Um, senators, ever heard of the mute button?

Moments before a conference call with reporters was scheduled to get underway on Tuesday morning, Charles E. Schumer of New York, the No. 3 Democrat in the Senate, apparently unaware that many of the reporters were already on the line, began to instruct his fellow senators on how to talk to reporters about the contentious budget process.

After thanking his colleagues — Barbara Boxer of California, Benjamin L. Cardin of Maryland, Thomas R. Carper of Delaware and Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut — for doing the budget bidding for the Senate Democrats, who are facing off against the House Republicans over how to cut spending for the rest of the fiscal year, Mr. Schumer told them to portray John A. Boehner of Ohio, the speaker of the House, as painted into a box by the Tea Party, and to decry the spending cuts that he wants as extreme. “I always use the word extreme,” Mr. Schumer said. “That is what the caucus instructed me to use this week.”

A minute or two into the talking-points tutorial, though, someone apparently figured out that reporters were listening, and silence fell.
Then the conference call began in earnest, with the Democrats right on message.

“We are urging Mr. Boehner to abandon the extreme right wing,” said Ms. Boxer, urging the House to compromise on the scale of spending cuts and to drop proposed amendments that would deny federal financing for Planned Parenthood and for government agencies like the Environmental Protection Agency.

Mr. Carper continued with the theme, referring to some House Republicans’ “right-wing extremist friends.” Mr. Cardin decried Mr. Boehner’s giving into “extremes of his party.” Mr. Blumenthal closed by speaking of the “relatively small extreme group of ideologues” who are “an anchor” dragging down the budget negotiation process.

How news is made . . .

Update: Later in the day, Mr. Schumer’s spokesman, Brian Fallon, issued this statement about the senator’s remarks: “There’s nothing wrong with reporters overhearing him calling the House Republicans’ [position] extreme, because that’s what it is. He had just given a speech on the Senate floor saying the same thing. The sooner Speaker Boehner abandons the Tea Party’s extreme demands, the sooner there can be a bipartisan deal on the budget.”

So’kay, Republicans are “extreme right wing.”  But you guys are nothing more than a bunch of Nazis, goose stepping to your fuhrers’ marching orders.

The “relatively small extreme group of ideologues” just won the largest landslide election in 70 years, while Democrats – the “mainstream” in their warped view – just LOST the largest landslide election in 70 years.  What is wrong with this picture?

The Republican House is trying to fulfill the campaign pledge that won them victory in that landslide.  The are trying to cut a MERE $61 billion out of a $1.65 TRILLION deficit.  Democrats falsely and deceitfully claim they want to reduce the deficit when literally everything the Republicans propose to do so is “extremist.”

Let’s talk “extremist”:  When Democrats took over, Republicans had left them with a deficit of $161 billion (the deficit in the Republican-passed FY-2007 Budget).  The very next budget, and the first budget passed by Democrats (FY-2008), contained a $459 billion deficit – nearly three times larger than the previous year’s GOP budget.  If that seems crazy, consider their next budget, the FY-2009 budget that had a $1.4 TRILLION deficit – which again virtually tripled their previous tripling of the deficit.  Then there was the Democrats’ FY-2010 budget with a deficit of $1.6 trillion.  And even with total control over the White House, the House of Representatives and the Senate, Democrats – caught like cockroaches with the kitchen lights turned on – couldn’t pass a budget at all prior to the election that threw them out of that total control.

Thanks to the Democrats, the United States is adding $4 billion to the deficit every single day this year.

Now, you need to decide that either THAT is “extreme,” or Republicans trying to cut just a tiny fraction – just 1.5% – of that deficit, is “extremist.”

Republicans are the extremists?  Again, what is wrong with this picture???

Let us see who has used this tactic of unrelenting blame in the past:

Hitler wrote his Mein Kampf.  He blamed the Jews for pretty much everything that was wrong with Germany.

Hitler seized power after blaming the Reichstag fire on a communist conspiracy.

Hitler launched his Anschluss in Austria claiming that he was “protecting” the Austrian people from a Communist uprising (i.e., he blamed the communists).  For the record, both Nazi fascism and Soviet communism were both socialist and both left wing (“Nazi” stood for “National Socialist German Workers Party”).  The Nazis were “rightwing” only in that they were the far right of the extreme left.

Hitler demanded the Sudetenland in Czechoslovakia after blaming the Czechs for oppressing the Volkdeutsch (ethnic Germans) there.

Hitler invaded Poland after fabricating the Gleiwitz incident which provided him with the pretext to blame the Poles.

The tactic of demagogic blame has worked for fascist socialists many times before.  Only an evil people falls for this tactic.

It remains to be seen whether it will work this time.

Proof Positive That The Mainstream Media Is The Propaganda Wing Of The Democrat Party

November 1, 2010

We’ve seen it all over the place.

During the 2008 presidential campaign, the mainstream media had what Bernie Goldberg described as a “A Slobbering Love Affair: The True (And Pathetic) Story of the Torrid Romance Between Barack Obama and the Mainstream Media.”  And he backed it up with cold hard facts.

For the last two years, we have had one crude, dishonest and even vile dismissal of the conservative tea party movement.  With the most vivid example in my memory being CNN anchor Anderson Cooper saying, “It’s hard to talk when you’re tea-bagging.”  Which was a gross, crude sexual pun to describe decent, intelligent people.

The tea party movement was mocked and dismissed by the media until it was obvious they were deliberately lying about the movement; and then the media started to demonize them and label them as racist.  Even though in reality the tea party better reflects the racial composition of the country than any other political movement.

We’ve had the mainstream media bombard us with the message that tea party supporters were some kind of  ignorant, fanatic, fascist hillbillies and tools of some conservative elite puppetmasters when in actual fact they are actually considerably wealthier and better educated than the population at large.

Joe Miller is a case in point.  The Senate candidate from Alaska – who is backed by and who in fact espouses the tea party platform – is not only a West Point graduate, but is also a graduate of Yale Law School.  But since those facts refuted the mainstream media narrative about tea partiers as ignorant hillbillies, they were ignored.

There’s the petty vindictive stuff.  Such as the TV ad that Christine O’Donnell paid to run on a public channel – and even held a rally timed for its airing – only to have the network “conveniently” forget to run it.  Twice.  Like “Oops.  Sorry.  Don’t think for even a second that it’s because government-funded media aren’t in the pocket of liberals, though.”

And there’s the more institutionally biased stuff.  Such as the fact that the mainstream media refused to use the word “extremist” to describe anyone on the left, but ONLY used the word to describe conservatives and tea partiers. Which simply proves that there is an institutional ideological leftwing bias across the board.  When you turn on or turn the pages of any mainstream media bias, you are simply pumping leftwing bias into your brain.

But all of that, as bad as it is, is nothing compared to the true black cockroach souls of the mainstream media and “journalists” of today.

This story says it all.

From RadioViceOnline:

News staff from the CBS affiliate KTVA in Anchorage inadvertently left a message on the cell phone of Joe Miller’s campaign spokesperson yesterday.   Nick McDermott, the KTVA assignment editor, had just ended a phone call with Miller’s spokesperson but missed the ‘end call’ button on his iPhone.

The conversation between McDermott, and those who are assumed to be other KTVA staff, goes on for about one minutes and 15 seconds. The audio and transcript are below. They seem to conspire to create stories that will harm the election efforts of Miller including looking for registered sex offenders and child molesters who happen to support Miller’s campaign. Then they suggest staging a Rand Paul-type moment where someone attacks Miller.

Not surprising to me. Remember, many journalism students join the profession to make a difference, not to report the news. When they realize they are not making a difference — in this case electing their preferred choice for Alaska’s next senator — they start making up the news.

Big Journalism had the breaking story, and Gov. Sarah Palin let the Fox News Sunday audience know about the story this morning during an interview with Chris Wallace. She called the conspirators “corrupt bastards” (video below) this morning and reminded Americans this is just one example of what it has been like for Joe Miller when the GOP establishment, Democrats, the Washington elites, and the left-wing media machine are all gunning for you.

Written transcript follows…

FEMALE REPORTER: That’s up to you because you have the experience but that’s what I would do…I’d wait until you see who shows up because that indicates we already know something… [Laughter [INAUDIBLE]

FEMALE REPORTER: Child molesters…

MALE REPORTER: Oh yes…Joe Miller’s…uh…get a list of people/campaign workers which one’s the molester [INAUDIBLE]

FEMALE VOICE: You know that of all the people that will show up tonight, at least one of them will be a registered sex offender.[Laughter]

MALE REPORTER: We need to find that one person… [INAUDIBLE]

FEMALE REPORTER: The one thing we can do is ….we won’t know….we won’t know but if there is any sort of chaos whatsoever we can put out a twitter/facebook alert: saying what the… ‘Hey Joe Miller punched at rally.’

FEMALE REPORTER: Kinda like Rand Paul…I like that. [Laughter]

FEMALE REPORTER: That’s a good one.

So reporters from a CBS affiliate made a call to Joe Miller’s campaign, and then these people who are so damn smart (versus all the ignorant hillbillies in the tea party movement) forgot to hang up the phone before plotting to destroy the GOP candidate they had just called.  And it was all gloriously caught on air.

Does anyone honestly think any of these people are reporting or covering the political news fairly or honestly?

It’s not enough to call these reporters “leftwing.”  They are fascist.

CBS reporters are talking about deliberately seeking out stories that will “frame” Joe Miller as dangerous or unstable to sow seeds of fear in the electorate.  It’s a “November Surprise,” only they are looking to somehow create it.  And there’s no chance in hell that the Democrat is ever going to face that level of hard-core bias and outright animosity.

Think about this.  This incredibly cynical, deceitful, disingenuous and malicious attitude toward conservatives isn’t just happening in San Francisco; it’s happening in Alaska.  And Alaska is so conservative that the Democrat is only getting 30% of the vote.

If this kind of shocking media bias against the right is going on in a solidly red state such as Alaska, what is going on in your state?  Just how bad is it everywhere else?

As bad as the Democrat Party is, their dishonesty is NOTHING compared to the blatant dishonesty coming from the “journalists” who staff the mainstream media.

They’re supposed to report the truth in an objective, non-partisan manner; instead they look for dirt against conservatives and Republicans.

If the media reported fairly and honestly, we’d be talking about Democrats the way we talk about dinosaurs – as a giant behemoth that died out due to its own stupidity eons ago.  Instead they fabricate one story and falsify one “angle” after another.

And as a result of the mainstream media dishonesty, the Democrat Party has been allowed to become more and more and more corrupt.

Piss off a “journalist” tomorrow.  Vote for Republicans.

Holocaust Museum Shooting: What Makes Someone ‘Rightwing’?

June 10, 2009

Today, an 89-year old documented nut entered the Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C.  I have no idea what the politics of Stephen Tyrone Jones were, but the man serving as a guard died a hero: he died standing in the way of this evil man and the innocent and unarmed people he would have murdered.

A question immediately comes to mind: what side of the bowl did this nut inhabit?  Obviously he was a nut.  But was he a rightwing nut or a leftwing nut?

What the left want us to believe is that James von Brunn is a rightwing extremist.  Why?  Because he was an anti-Semite, and therefore a racist.  And racists, as everybody just knows, are rightwing.

This view became official government policy under the Obama administration.  Consider how the Department of Homeland Security under Janet Napolitano defined “rightwing extremism” versus “leftwing extremism,” according to the Associated Press:

In the report, right-wing extremism was defined as hate-motivated groups and movements, such as hatred of certain religions, racial or ethnic groups. “It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration,” the report said. [...]

The department’s definition of left-wing extremism in the March 26 report includes a reference to violence, stating these groups that embrace anticapitalist, communist or socialist beliefs seek “to bring about change through violent revolution rather than through established political processes.”

So, based on that, where do you pidgeon-hole an Anti-Semitic racist like von Brunn?  Read both definitions and it’s a no-brainer.  “Hatred of certain religions, racial, or ethnic groups.”  Check, check, and check.  James von Brunn is a rightwing extremist.  Just ask Janet Napolitano.

Only that’s completely asinine.

An article by Michelle Malkin shows just how profoundly dishonest and biased the “assessment” by the Obama DHS truly is.

Let’s start with Antisemitism and polling data from a December 2008 Rasmussen survey:

Sixty-two percent (62%) of Republicans back Israel’s decision to take military action against the Palestinians, but only half as many Democrats (31%) agree. A majority of Democrats (55%) say Israel should have tried to find a diplomatic solution first, a view shared by just 27% of Republicans.

While 75% of Republicans say Israel is an ally of the United States, just 55% of Democrats agree. Seven percent (7%) of Democrats say Israel is an enemy of America, but only one percent (1%) of Republicans say the same. For 21% of Republicans, Israel is somewhere in between, and 28% of Democrats agree.

And this difference in views toward Israel and Jews is fairly established and consistent, as a Gallup survey from April 2002 shows:

The [04/17/2002 Gallup] survey of 1,009 adults conducted on April 5-7 found that 67 percent of Republicans side with Israel in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, compared to 45% of Democrats. Support for the Palestinians is at 8% among Republicans, versus 21% among Democrats.

How can Republicans/conservatives be overwhelmingly more supportive of Israel than Democrats/liberals, and yet at the same time overwhelmingly more Anti-Semitic than Democrats/liberals?  How does that even begin to make sense?  As a conservative evangelical Christian, I support Israel precisely because it is a Jewish state.  I pray for the shalom of Jerusalem according to Psalm 122:6.  I believe in something called “evil” and realize that the history of Israel and of Jews reveals that they have been victims of it FAR MORE than perpetrators of it.  I constantly refer to the “Judeo-Christian worldview” that respects and cherishes the influence of Judaism on my Christian faith.

Frontpage Magazine has an article that reveals why those on the left – who deny most of why I support Israel – end up embracing racist and Anti-Semitic views.

Let me say more.  When Republican George Bush was president, fully 88% of Israeli Jews believed the president was “pro-Israel”; today under Democrat president Barack Obama, only 31% of Israeli Jews think so.

The profoundly Anti-Semitic Nation of Islam has long and strong ties to the Democratic Party, and to Barack Obama personally via his 23 year relationship with Jeremiah Wright and Trinity United Church and via his participation with the Million Man March.  THIS VERY DAY, Jeremiah Wright said he’s denied access to Obama.  Why?  Quote: “Rev. Jeremiah Wright says Jews are keeping him from talking to President Obama.”

One article reads: “THE Rev Jesse Jackson and several other black American leaders are calling for a halt to the anti-Semitic rants of members of the black Muslim group Nation of Islam, led by Louis Farrakhan.”  And yet that itself is laughable; Jesse Jackson is a man who HIMSELF has displayed deep Antisemitism.  He has been documented calling Jews “Hymies” and New York “Hymietown.”

How DARE anyone on the left accuse the right of being Anti-Semitic.  HOW DARE THEY!!!

And if Democrats want to label Republicans as “racist,” perhaps they should either abolish the “Congressional Black Caucas” or find where Republicans are hiding their equivalent  “Congressional White Caucus.”  And you might either denounce Congressional Black Caucus member Bobby Rush or find similar racist statements coming from Republicans.   Show us where Republican leaders openly demanded that a Caucasian receive a US Senate seat.

An article on Examiner.com shows that von Brunn was more more leftwing than rightwing.  Among other things, he despised George Bush, believed 9/11 was a Bush conspiracy, and railed against “neo-cons.”

Holocaust Museum shooter von Brunn a 9/11 ‘truther’ who hated ‘neo-cons’, Bush, McCain

The man accused of opening fire at the Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC on June 10, James W. von Brunn, left a trail of unhinged writings around the internet.

The anti-semitism of von Brunn is the first thing one notices when visiting these bizarre websites. However, like those of most “white supremacists”, many of von Brunn’s political views track “Left” rather than “Right.” Clearly, a re-evaluation of these obsolete definitions is long overdue.

For example, he unleashed his hatred of both Presidents Bush and other “neo-conservatives” in online essays. As even some “progressives” such as the influential Adbusters magazine publicly admit, “neoconservative” is often used as a derogatory code word for “Jews”. As well, even a cursory glance at “white supremacist” writings reveals a hatred of, say, big corporations that is virtually indistinguishable from that of anti-globalization activists.

James von Brunn’s advocacy of 9/11 conspiracy theories also gives him an additional commonality with individuals on the far-left.

None of this will surprise readers of Jonah Goldberg‘s bestseller Liberal Fascism: The Secret History of the American Left, From Mussolini to the Politics of Change , which clearly demonstrates that “fascism” of the kind advocated by the British National Party (BNP) and the likes of James W. von Brunn is just as likely to reflect “leftwing” views as “rightwing” ones.

In fact, antisemitism is something the New Left and the “Far Right” have had in common since the 1980s, which is why so many former leftists like David Horowitz defected from one side to the other during the Reagan era and beyond. It also helps explain the otherwise baffling alliance between the Left and radical Islam.

That this shooting occurred shortly after President Obama’s former mentor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, blamed “the Jews” for his lack of access to his former parishioner is a troubling confluence of events as well.

I’m not going to answer the question posed by my title: “What Makes Someone ‘Rightwing’?  But I’ll say ONE thing for certain.

It’s most definitely NOT “racism” or “Antisemitism.”  There’s just way too much of that crap going on on the part of the leftwing to possibly attribute it exclusively to the right.
