When American Greatness Is Gone, And When NASA = ‘National Aeronautics and Sharia Administration’

Houston, we have a problem.  Our president is a chucklehead.

I can imagine Barry Hussein sending a helmeted American astronaut to Mecca, live on video feed, and hearing him say as he steps inside, “That’s one small step for man, one giant step for Sharia.”

Any student of history worth at least a penny should be readily able to see how our Failure-in-Chief Obama represents everything that is declining, failing, and unsustainable.

John F. Kennedy said the following involving the “foremost” mission of NASA:

We choose to go to the moon. We choose to go to the moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard, because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one which we intend to win, and the others, too.

It is for these reasons that I regard the decision last year to shift our efforts in space from low to high gear as among the most important decisions that will be made during my incumbency in the office of the Presidency.

One could present a powerful argument that it was as a result of that speech that the United States dominated space and dominated space-age technology for the following forty-plus years.

But NASA just got new marching orders.  From the moon to Mars?  Nope.  From the moon to anywhere?  Nope.  From the moon to mediocrity?  You’re starting to get warm.

Now we have this from the Obama-appointee heading what USED to be the National Aeronautics and Space Administration:

NASA Administrator Charles Bolden said in a recent interview that his “foremost” mission as the head of America’s space exploration agency is to improve relations with the Muslim world.

Though international diplomacy would seem well outside NASA’s orbit, Bolden said in an interview with Al Jazeera that strengthening those ties was among the top tasks President Obama assigned him. He said better interaction with the Muslim world would ultimately advance space travel.

“When I became the NASA administrator — or before I became the NASA administrator — he charged me with three things. One was he wanted me to help re-inspire children to want to get into science and math, he wanted me to expand our international relationships, and third, and perhaps foremost, he wanted me to find a way to reach out to the Muslim world and engage much more with dominantly Muslim nations to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science … and math and engineering,” Bolden said in the interview.

So Obama’s new mission for NASA is first, not to go into space, second not to go into space, and third not to go into space.

Instead he’s got the most technologically powerful agency on earth doing his useless politically-correct hopey-changey crap.

And only Barry Hussein is naive enough to actually believe that Osama bin Laden and al Qaeda and the Taliban are going to quit hating us because we tore NASA apart and pissed it away.

What a legacy of failure from the worst failure to ever occupy the White House.  One can just look at the past few weeks to see what a useless turd Obama is.  I think of Vice President Joe Biden explaining how “Yes We Can” really meant “No We Can’t” on jobs:

there’s no possibility to restore 8 million jobs lost in the Great Recession.”

I think of Kennedy boldly saying “We choose to go to the moon!”  Do you realize how incredible that statement is?  Now we’ve got failures who don’t even have the balls to predict that we’re going to be able to restore jobs right here on earth – even with their “saved or created” bullcrap.

I see a 110-consecutive-year record of American manufacturing greatness pissed away under Obama.  And do I hear a bold determination to regain our lead?  “No We Can’t.”

OBAMA:  The US economy for a long period of time was the engine of world economic growth.  We were sucking in imports from all across the world financed by huge amounts of consumer debt.  Because of the financial crisis, but also because that debt was fundamentally unsustainable, the United States is not going to be able to serve in that same capacity to that same extent.

Obama’s tax-cheat treasury secretary Timothy Geithner chimed in:

“But I think the world understands now that world growth in the future can’t depend on the United States as much as it did in the past. So, for the world to grow together, we have to see more growth in the other major economies. Not just in the emerging markets, which are very strong now, in the United States.”

Because We Are All Socialists Now and our days of greatness in the world are now behind us in the age of Obama.

Mark Levin summarized Team Obama’s mindset:

Levin said this is a sign that the president wants to “rebalance the globe.”

“We selfish, piggish Americans, and all the rest of the people out there who we abuse in other countries, we’ve got to rebalance this ladies and gentlemen and he is going to rebalance this for us,” Levin said. “Do you know what that means in the mind of a Marxist? We become poorer so the others can become richer, and then we get equality.”

He later added, “You know what our enemies must be thinking? This is cool. We don’t even have to defeat them. We’ve got Obama. Obama’s on our side. He’ll defeat his own people for us. “

I think of Ronald Regan boldly predicting the downfall of an evil empire that covered a sixth of the globe and stretched over 11 time zones.  I think of Reagan boldly going to the Brandenburg Gate and saying, “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall.”  And succeeding in bringing down that vast, evil empire without firing a shot.  Now we’ve got failures who don’t even have the balls to believe that we can even possibly secure our damn border from an illegal invasion:

“Even as we are committed to doing what’s necessary to secure our borders, even without passage of the new law, there are those who argue that we should not move forward with any other elements of reform until we have fully sealed our borders,” said Obama. “But our borders are just too vast for us to be able to solve the problem only with fences and border patrols. It won’t work.

“It’s just too hard.”  “It won’t work.”  “No We Can’t.”  “Wah.”

Now, I’m sure that at this point some moral idiot will eventually challenge me that Reagan urged Russia to tear down it’s wall while people like me are demanding that we build a new wall of our own.  I say “moral idiot” because such a person doesn’t have the moral reasoning capability to differentiate between the wall the Soviets built to prevent people from escaping and the wall we would build to prevent people from illegally invading our country.

Go into space where no human has ever gone before?  Defeat the largest and mightiest military power on earth?  Regain our lost jobs, or our lost manufacturing capability?  Secure borders that are being overrun every single day?  Hell.  We’re not even up to the task of plugging a damn hole anymore under this “God damn America” loser.

Well, under Obama, America believes that it is an arrogant, mediocre nation that has nothing to offer but our bared throats and our apologies for terrible things we did such as defeat Nazism and world communism.

But there are a people who now believe that they have what the world needs: global domination under Islam and totalitarian sharia law.

Obama has bowed down to these people in every way imaginable – including literally:

So by all means, let’s strip American greatness to the bone.  Let’s transform one of our greatest agencies into a politically-correct tool of ideological asininity.  Let’s give up on our economy and job creation.  Let’s abandon our global standing in the world.

Because No We Can’t.

Joe Biden Predicts World Will Test Barack Obama With Hostile International Crisis

Joe Biden predicts that the world will test a young and inexperienced Barack Obama with an international crisis if he is elected President, and that it might look like he won’t know what he’s doing:

ABC News’ Matthew Jaffe Reports: Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., on Sunday guaranteed that if elected, Sen. Barack Obama., D-Ill., will be tested by an international crisis within his first six months in power and he will need supporters to stand by him as he makes tough, and possibly unpopular, decisions.

“Mark my words,” the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. “It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”

“I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate,” Biden said to Emerald City supporters, mentioning the Middle East and Russia as possibilities. “And he’s gonna need help. And the kind of help he’s gonna need is, he’s gonna need you – not financially to help him – we’re gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially, it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right.”

Not only will the next administration have to deal with foreign affairs issues, Biden warned, but also with the current economic crisis.

“Gird your loins,” Biden told the crowd. “We’re gonna win with your help, God willing, we’re gonna win, but this is not gonna be an easy ride. This president, the next president, is gonna be left with the most significant task. It’s like cleaning the Augean stables, man. This is more than just, this is more than – think about it, literally, think about it – this is more than just a capital crisis, this is more than just markets. This is a systemic problem we have with this economy.”

The Delaware lawmaker managed to rake in an estimated $1 million total from his two money hauls at the downtown Sheraton, the same hotel where four years ago Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., clinched the Democratic nomination. Despite warning about the difficulties the next administration will face, Biden said the Democratic ticket is equipped to meet the challenges head on.

“I’ve forgotten more about foreign policy than most of my colleagues know, so I’m not being falsely humble with you. I think I can be value added, but this guy has it,” the Senate Foreign Relations chairman said of Obama. “This guy has it. But he’s gonna need your help. Because I promise you, you all are gonna be sitting here a year from now going, ‘Oh my God, why are they there in the polls? Why is the polling so down? Why is this thing so tough?’ We’re gonna have to make some incredibly tough decisions in the first two years. So I’m asking you now, I’m asking you now, be prepared to stick with us. Remember the faith you had at this point because you’re going to have to reinforce us.”

“There are gonna be a lot of you who want to go, ‘Whoa, wait a minute, yo, whoa, whoa, I don’t know about that decision’,” Biden continued. “Because if you think the decision is sound when they’re made, which I believe you will when they’re made, they’re not likely to be as popular as they are sound. Because if they’re popular, they’re probably not sound.”

My first thoughts are these:

1) Maybe we should elect an older, experienced President the world WON’T test with an international crisis.  Remember that Kennedy flailed wildly and failed badly in his first tests (does the Bay of Pigs ring any bells?).  Foreign policy experts have laid the erection of the Berlin Wall and the Cuban Missile crises as resulting from key mistakes in John Kennedy’s early months in office – and Kennedy himself described his “without preconditions” meeting with Nikita Khrushchev was an “unmitigated disaster.”  Vote for Obama.  Vote for a major international crisis that just may reveal that this arrogant young punk is in way over his head.  Time to start playing Hillary Clinton’s “3 AM ad” again and again with soundbites from Biden’s speech and his previous denunciation of Obama’s readiness.

2) Joe Biden calls on the American people to stick by an Obama-Biden administration even though it might look like he doesn’t know what he’s doing and his decisions are unpopular.  My response: you mean the way Democrats stuck with the President in Iraq? They couldn’t wait to cut and run, to declare defeat, to try to prevent the President from bringing us toward victory with the surge strategy.  They supported the war, and immediately turned against it when it began to become politically advantageous to do so.  Why on earth should anybody stick with these people, given their own craven example?

Mark Joe Biden’s words.  And mark mine: Obama WILL be tested, because there is no reason to believe the man has the stones to stand up to evil, or even understand it.  Given his career 97% record with voting with his Democrtatic leadership (that would be Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi), there’s no reason to believe he can stand up to anything.  David Freddoso spends nearly 300 pages documenting the fact that Barack Obama has never stood up to his political machine, but has merely went with the flow to suit his own political aspirations.  A man with genuine moral courage wouldn’t have spent 23 years in Jeremiah Wright’s church.

Joe Biden assured us that Barack Obama will have a “spine of steel”; he has omitted the fact that the man has a guts of jello.  Do you really see the guy who opposed the war in Iraq, and who opposed the highly successful surge strategy with dire predictions that he subsequently purged from his own website, would attack Iran to stop them from developing nuclear weapons?  He will face the same problems that Bush faced: a lack of perfect intelligence; an apathetic Europe; a weak and corrupt United Nations; and a UN-veto-weilding Russia and China that are determined to prevent any meaningful sanctions against their Iranian ally.  He won’t attack Iran, and nothing he does do will matter.

Former UN ambassador John Bolton has predicted that Israel would attack Iran BEFORE the next President is sworn in.   How’s THAT for an “international crisis”?  That would probably be the most terrifying event the world has ever seen.  You want Barack Obama being the one to answer THAT 3 AM phone call?  I mean, realize that even Joe Biden “has denounced Barack Obama’s poor foreign policy judgment and has strongly argued in his own words what Americans are quickly realizing – that Barack Obama is not ready to be President.”  Biden said Obama is “not ready” to be president, and that “the presidency is not something that lends itself to on-the-job training.”  Based on Joe Biden’s own words about Barack Obama, I wrote an article titled, “Obama Not Strong, Not Ready.  Just Ask His V.P.”  You don’t just take back words like that because Obama offered you a career upgrade.

John Bolton specifically predicted that Israel would attack Iran if Obama is elected, in another interview.  And why shouldn’t they?  Barack Obama is a man who said that Jerusalem should be the undivided capital of Israel, and then almost immediately reneged on his statement when Palestinians complained.  Does that show steadfast support, or a pandering waverer?  Obama has had several friends who were profoundly anti-Israel.  Should that be a basis for unqualified Israeli trust?  We’ve had anti-Semitic bigot Louis Farrakhan (honored by Obama’s church for lifetime achievement) as the “Messiah.”  Only this “Messiah” will pursue anti-Semitic policies.  Jesse Jackson said that under Obama there would be “fundamental changes,” and that key among such changes was the fact that “decades of putting Israel first would end.”

And Israel should just place its national survival in the hands of a President Barack Obama?  They should just assume that this man – who has already waffled with a key Israeli issue, who has numerous friends who are anti-Semitic, who can’t be trusted – to prevent a country that has called Israel a “rotting corpse” and promising that it is “doomed to disappear” from getting nuclear weapons?

I personally believe that Israel will realize that the United States under Barack Obama will very likely not do anything to keep its most hated and hateful enemy from acquiring nuclear weapons, and will feel that it has no choice but to take matters into its own hands.  They will probably do it before the election, while a very lame duck President Bush is still ostensibly in control.

What will Obama do in this scenario?  Do you trust him?  What will he do if Iran blocks the Strait of Hormuz and gasoline immediately goes up to $14 a gallon?

People who don’t care about foreign policy just because the media is focusing on the economy are lemmings and fools.

Obama Suffers From Kennedy-Confusion Syndrome

If you start thinking you’re John Kennedy, take two of these and then check yourself into a rubber room.”

There’s little question that Obama seeks to be viewed as the next Kennedy:

Even before Obama clinched the nomination, Germans viewed him as “the new Kennedy.” Over the next few days, that notion is likely to get conveyed to American voters, which is precisely what Obama wants.

His speech in Berlin is being compared to President John F. Kennedy‘s appearance in the divided city, at the height of the Cold War, which drew ecstatic crowds and became the stuff of legend. (Another part of Obama’s effort to model himself after Kennedy: giving his convention acceptance speech before a large crowd at a nearby stadium, as JFK did in 1960.)

Obama spoke to a crowd of 200,000 in Berlin – his greatest turn-out ever. But It’s frankly rather hilarious how the event has unfolded.

Obama originally wanted to insert himself into the Brandenburg Gate scenery of Kennedy’s “Ich bin ein Berliner” speech and Reagan’s “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall” speech. But that was just a bit too much of a brazen display of ostentatious arrogance for German Chancellor Angela Merkel. So Obama had to find another location for his Obamessianic rally so he could show just how much Europeans love him.

So he picked the Victory Tower, another historic landmark.

This one was made famous by Adolf Hitler, who used it as the phallic-symbol backdrop for his own political rallies. Maybe great messiahs think alike. From Uber-messiah to Oba-messiah. And the same people that cheered the first one are now equally enthusiastic about the second one.

One can only go so far in any Hitler-Obama comparison, obviously; for one thing, nobody really knows just WHAT Obama stands for, do they? But like Obama, Hitler spoke also spoke in broad generalities to paint beautiful images, and used his personal cult of charisma and his power as a speaker to rally the people to himself.

But Obama doesn’t want to identify himself with Hitler, but with Kennedy. So let’s look at that relationship instead.

When President Kennedy came to Brandenburg Gate and spoke on June 26, 1963, he said:

There are some who say that Communism is the wave of the future. Let them come to Berlin.

And there are some who say in Europe and elsewhere we can work with the Communists. Let them come to Berlin.

And there are even a few who say that it is true that Communism is an evil system, but it permits us to make economic progress. Lass’ sie nach Berlin kommen. Let them come to Berlin…

Freedom is indivisible, and when one man is enslaved, all are not free…

All free men, wherever they may live, are citizens of Berlin, and, therefore, as a free man, I take pride in the words “Ich bin ein Berliner”.

Kennedy presented a vision of freedom from tyranny, and Reagan’s speech anticipated his fulfillment of that vision a short time after he delivered it on June 12, 1987:

General Secretary Gorbachev, if you seek peace, if you seek prosperity for the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, if you seek liberalization, come here to this gate. Mr. Gorbachev, open this gate. Mr. Gorbachev, Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall.

And just how is Barack Obama in any way part of that vision? How is the man who said that liberating 25 million Iraqis from the tyranny of Saddam Hussein – from rape rooms, from being taken away by secret police and never seen again, from mass graves – was a bad idea? How does that deserve to share the stage with Kennedy’s vision of freedom and his willingness to stand up and fight tyrants to secure that freedom?

Barack Obama is a guy who didn’t even bother to waste his time going to see some of the injured American heroes recovering from wounds sustained fighting for the freedom of human beings in Afghanistan and Iraq.

But there’s another thing.

Given that Kennedy and Reagan both stood up against communism (and in Reagan’s case, stood against it over and against the continual opposition of Democrats in Congress), it is pertinent to ask: what really is the difference between the Communist Party that Kennedy and Reagan fought to defeat and The Democratic Party of Barack Obama today, anyway?

Let’s see, Karl Marx’s proletariat and bourgeoisie; the Democrat’s “two Americas.” Check.

The belief that the evil wealthy proletariat enslave the poor by seizing and hoarding the means of production. Check.

The demand to seize the assets of the evil proletariat in the name of the people. Check.

The liberal-Democrat ideology of a “separation of church and state,” which does not exist in our founding documents but is very much a part of the Constitution of the U.S.S.R. Check.

The theology of Barack Obama’s long-time spiritual mentor – black liberation theology – comes right out of Marxism and does little more than view Christianity through Marxist eyes toward a Marxist end. Check.

President Kennedy had the vision to realize the need to cut taxes to stimulate economic growth.  But Barack Obama clearly doesn’t share the same principles.

Pardon me for having a really, REEAAAALLLLYYY hard time seeing John Kennedy in Barack Obama.

As Dennis Prager has put it many times, “A 1960s Kennedy liberal is a conservative today.”  It is most definitely NOT Barack Obama.

Where’s that guy who said, “Senator, I served with Jack Kennedy: I knew Jack Kennedy; Jack Kennedy was a friend of mine. Senator, you’re no Jack Kennedy“? I think we can use him now.
