Barack Obama self-righteously demonized House Republicans for spending five minutes on a resolution to continue to honor God:
Obama Mocks Congress For ‘In God We Trust’ Motto Vote, Ignoring Jobs Bill
First Posted: 11/2/11 06:03 PM ET Updated: 11/3/11 05:51 PM ETPresident Barack Obama urged lawmakers to move on the transportation funding portion of his jobs bill Wednesday, while simultaneously mocking them for spending time on supposedly less-important undertakings, such as a recent measure to reaffirm “In God We Trust” as the national motto.
In a speech from beneath the D.C. area’s Key Bridge, Obama told spectators that Congress had time to bring up votes on aspects of the American Jobs Act, but were instead dealing with more frivolous legislation.
“And if Congress tells you they don’t have time, they’ve got time to do it,” Obama said.
“In the House of Representatives, what have you guys been doing, John?” Obama continued, calling out Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-Ohio). “You’ve been debating a commemorative coin for baseball. You’ve had legislation reaffirming that ‘In God We Trust’ is our motto. That’s not putting people back to work. I trust in God, but God wants to see us help ourselves by putting people back to work.”
On Wednesday, the House voted 396-9 on a bill that reaffirmed the motto and encouraged its display in all public schools and government buildings.
The bill’s sponsor, Rep. Randy Forbes (R-Va.) had argued that some people, including Obama, needed to be reminded of the motto.
“Almost a year ago, the president in making a speech across the world said that our national motto was ‘E pluribus unum,'” Forbes said. “When the [U.S. Capitol] Visitor Center was opened … they did not have the national motto in there. In fact, they inscribed in the stones that our national motto was ‘E pluribus unum.'”
Let’s see if this cynical hypocrite without shame, integrity, decency or honor has a shred of intellectual or moral consistency against Democrats for “wasting time” in a resolution of their own:
House Resolution Honors Unions’ Role in Building Middle Class
AFL-CIO ^ | Nov 4, 2011 | Mike HallThe nation’s labor unions play a vital role in “ensuring a strong middle class,” says a resolution honoring the labor movement introduced in the House this week by Rep. Donald Payne (D-N.J.).
The resolution recognizes the importance of unions in building and maintaining a middle class:
by advocating for more equitable wages, humane work conditions, improved benefits…[and] unions make the middle class strong by ensuring workers have a voice in both the market and in the nation’s democracy.
Payne, who held several unionized jobs before being elected to Congress in 1988 says:
I know firsthand the strong impact unions have made on the workforce. I worked my way through college as a dockworker at Port Newark. I was once a seasonal postal worker and truck driver. I have worked the line and was a forklift operator at a local brewery in Newark, New Jersey.
I also served as a teacher for Newark Public Schools. If it were not for the protections provided by a union in these positions, I may not have succeeded in those positions, which ultimately prepared me to represent labor union interests now as a senior member on the House Committee on Education and the Workforce.
The resolution notes that if the rate of unionization increased by 10 percent, “the typical middle class family would earn $1,479 more this year,” and also says:
Unions benefit even non-union workers—particularly in highly unionized industries—by setting a high-standard for benefits and wages that other employers must meet.
It also highlights the role unions have played in bringing economic equality to women and communities of color, the training opportunities unions provide and their essential contributions in winning vital legislation from Social Security to the minimum wage to health care reform.

I have personally decided that I would be ill-advised to hold my breath that Barack Obama will be anything other than the cynical, dishonest hypocrite he’s always been.
We know that in reality Barack Hussein Obama despises God and one nation under Him with every fiber of his being:
This is the president who literally (and repeatedly) stripped God out of the Declaration of Independence. This is the president who edited Jesus out of Easter. This is the president who called America “one of the largest Muslim countries of the world” even as he explicitly denies that America is or ever was a Christian nation. This is the president who flat-out ridiculed the Bible as the inspired Word of God even as he called the Muslim call to prayer “one of the prettiest sounds on earth.” This is the president who has turned his back on Israel and who serves as the Antichrist’s useful idiot. This is the president whose reverend and spiritual mentor for over 20 years said, “No, no, no. Not God bless America. God DAMN America.”
Let’s see if he will show that same contempt for big unions.
Barack Obama is the very worst kind of cynical, deceiving liar. He promised to rise above partisan politics – and then sunk lower into partisan politics than ANY president we have ever had. And God Damn America will continue to be a fractured, divided, economically-sick nation until this Disgrace is driven out of office.
