Why The More Democrats Destroy The American Economy, The Better It Will Be For Them Politically

April 9, 2013

In my student years and then in my working years, I have met many women whose boyfriends, live-in boyfriends or husbands treated them worse than I would treat dog crap.

It worked beautifully for the guys: they so destroyed these women’s self-esteem that they stayed with the men who abused them.

Why?  Their spirits were so crushed that they had been convinced that the low-life scum who abused them were the best they could ever hope to get.

And so they foolishly and self-destructively remained in abusive relationships.  If they had the crap beat out of them, they made sure to tell the police a story about some accident that hadn’t happened.

They sustained and protected and nurtured a “relationship” that was literally worse than cancer.

The national economic equivalent of the man I just described is Barack Hussein Obama.

He has so completely crushed so many desperate people – after selling them lie after lie after lie after lie – while holding out his socialist welfare state as the only solution for his massive economic failure – that many Americans believe Obama’s welfare society is their only hope.

Americans discouraged by economic recovery leave labor force
Published April 07, 2013
Associated Press

WASHINGTON –  After a full year of  fruitless job hunting, Natasha Baebler just gave up.

She’d already abandoned hope of getting work in her field, working with the  disabled. But she couldn’t land anything else, either — not even a job interview  at a telephone call center.

Until she feels confident enough to send out resumes again, she’ll get by on  food stamps and disability checks from Social Security and live with her parents  in St. Louis.

“I’m not proud of it,” says Baebler, who is in her mid-30s and is blind. “The  only way I’m able to sustain any semblance of self-preservation is to rely on  government programs that I have no desire to be on.”

Baebler’s frustrating experience has become all too common nearly four years  after the Great Recession ended: Many Americans are still so discouraged that  they’ve given up on the job market.

Older Americans have retired early. Younger ones have enrolled in school.  Others have suspended their job hunt until the employment landscape brightens.  Some, like Baebler, are collecting disability checks.

It isn’t supposed to be this way. After a recession, an improving economy is  supposed to bring people back into the job market.

Instead, the number of Americans in the labor force — those who have a job or  are looking for one — fell by nearly half a million people from February to  March, the government said Friday. And the percentage of working-age adults in  the labor force — what’s called the participation rate — fell to 63.3 percent  last month. It’s the lowest such figure since May 1979.

The falling participation rate tarnished the only apparent good news in the  jobs report the Labor Department released Friday: The unemployment rate dropped  to a four-year low of 7.6 percent in March from 7.7 in February.

People without a job who stop looking for one are no longer counted as  unemployed. That’s why the U.S. unemployment rate dropped in March despite weak  hiring. If the 496,000 who left the labor force last month had still been  looking for jobs, the unemployment rate would have risen to 7.9 percent in  March.

“Unemployment dropped for all the wrong reasons,” says Craig Alexander, chief  economist with TD Bank Financial Group. “It dropped because more workers stopped  looking for jobs. It signaled less confidence and optimism that there are jobs  out there.”

The participation rate peaked at 67.3 percent in 2000, reflecting an influx  of women into the work force. It’s been falling steadily ever since.

Part of the drop reflects the baby boom generation’s gradual move into  retirement. But such demographics aren’t the whole answer.

Even Americans of prime working age — 25 to 54 years old — are dropping out  of the workforce. Their participation rate fell to 81.1 percent last month, tied  with November for the lowest since December 1984.

“It’s the lack of job opportunities — the lack of demand for workers — that  is keeping these workers from working or seeking work,” says Heidi Shierholz, an  economist at the liberal Economic Policy Institute. The Labor Department says  there are still more than three unemployed people for every job opening.

Cynthia Marriott gave up her job search after an  interview in October for a position as a hotel concierge.

“They never said no,” she says. “They just never called me back.”

Her husband hasn’t worked full time since 2006. She cashed out her 401(k)  after being laid off from a job at a Los Angeles entertainment publicity firm in  2009. The couple owes thousands in taxes for that withdrawal. They have no  health insurance.

She got the maximum 99 weeks’ of unemployment benefits then allowed in  California and then moved to Atlanta.

Now she is looking to receive federal disability benefits for a lung  condition that she said leaves her weak and unable to work a full day. The  application is pending a medical review.

“I feel like I have no choice,” says Marriott, 47. “It’s just really sad and  frightening”

During the peak of her job search, Marriott was filling out 10 applications a  day. She applied for jobs she felt overqualified for, such as those at Home  Depot and Petco but never heard back. Eventually, the disappointment and fatigue  got to her.

“I just wanted a job,” she says. “I couldn’t really go on anymore looking for  a job.”

Young people are leaving the job market, too. The participation rate for  Americans ages 20 to 24 hit a 41-year low 69.6 percent last year before bouncing  back a bit. Many young people have enrolled in community colleges and  universities. That’s one reason a record 63 percent of adults ages 25 to 29 have  spent at least some time in college, according to the Pew Research Center.

Older Americans are returning to school, too. Doug Damato, who lives in  Asheville, N.C., lost his job as an installer at a utility company in February  2012. He stopped looking for work last fall, when he began taking classes in  mechanical engineering at Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College.

Next week, Damato, 40, will accept an academic award for earning top grades.  But one obstacle has emerged: Under a recent change in state law, his  unemployment benefits will now end July 1, six months earlier than he  expected.

He’s planning to work nights, if possible, to support himself once the  benefits run out. Dropping out of school is “out of the question,” he said,  given the time he has already put into the program.

“I don’t want a handout,” he says. “I’m trying to better myself.”

Many older Americans who lost their jobs are finding refuge in Social  Security’s disability program. Nearly 8.9 million Americans are receiving  disability checks, up 1.3 million from when the recession ended in June  2009.

Natasha Baebler’s journey out of the labor force and onto the disability  rolls began when she lost her job serving disabled students and staff members at  Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind., in February 2012.

For six months, she sought jobs in her field, brandishing master’s degrees in  social education and counseling. No luck.

Then she just started looking for anything. Still, she had no takers.

“I chose to stop and take a step back for a while … After you’ve seen that  amount of rejection,” she says, “you start thinking, ‘What’s going to make this  time any different?'”

Let’s just call it “Battered Worker Syndrome.”

How did Obama campaign against Mitt Romney?  Well, this rich turd demonized and slandered Mitt Romney as a rich turd who didn’t care about the poor.  Even though while Obama – just a couple years before deciding to run for president – gave virtually NOTHING to the poor or to charity, Mitt Romney was giving tens of millions of dollars to the poor.  Who was the real rich turd who didn’t care about the poor?

Look at the one-percenter vacation-vacation-vacation lifestyle of the Obamas since they got to live off the fat of everybody else.  And then consider that the Romenys never even had a damn MAID.

Republicans are generous people.  In fact they are FAR more generous than Democrats.  But rather than cynically exploiting the desperation of the poor to create wasteful federal bureaucracy after wasteful federal bureaucracy that pisses away other people’s money, Republicans believe that WE as individuals should give, whereas Democrats believe that they are generous because they’re willing to give away other people’s money.

Republicans don’t want tax cuts because they’re greedy or selfish; they want tax cuts because if they are allowed to control more of their own money, they will be able to build a better, bigger economy that will benefit EVERYONE.  They want tax cuts because it is better for both those who give to the needy as well as the needy who receive the gifts when private individuals and organizations control the charitable giving.

Margaret Thatcher put it brilliantly: Under the failed policies of the liberals, Britain had degenerated into “the new sick man of Europe.”  The economy was in shambles when Thatcher took over.  She turned the nation around.  But liberals couldn’t have cared less; what mattered to them was that the rich had become richer along with everyone else in the nation.   And as Margaret Thatcher put it, “Liberals prefer that the poor become poorer so long as the rich become less rich.”

You were lied to by a wicked man.  And on the other side of that coin is the fact that it is bad people who believe lies.  Which means YOU.

But Obama knows how to slander.  He knows how to demonize.  He knows how to fearmonger.  No one but the coming Antichrist will ever be better at it.  And Obama’s new Democrat Party will frame the next election this way: if you vote for Republicans, they’ll end the welfare state that you [thanks to Democrats] now depend on.

It takes courage and selfless integrity to vote outside of yourself and support the policies that will be best for THE COUNTRY and for the country’s longer-term prosperity.  Obama knows that you don’t have either one of those things.  He trusts in your cowardice and in your greed, and he knows how to exploit those pathetic traits that now dominate the American people’s national “character.”

What Obama promised would work we now know DIDN’T.  The average American household lost forty percent of its wealth thanks to Obama’s failed policies.  The median household lost $4,300 under Obama. But – like Hillary Clinton said over the treasonous debacle in Benghazi – “What difference does it make now?”  You know, now that thanks to liberalism you’re dependent on the tit of the federal government and if you can’t keep sucking other people’s money you’ll die because you’ve been reduced to being helpless?

Next presidential election, I believe that people will vote for their welfare check and to hell with the economy.  And I believe that because that’s pretty much what we did in 2008 and in 2012.

The Republican Party is the party of adults who have finally reached the place where they know what will make a business or a household economic plan work.  They are adults who have worked hard to earn something and believe that they  should be able to keep more of what they earn rather than giving it away to a class-warfare system of Marxist redistributionism [in exchange for votes].  And Obma knows that the American people have degenerated into children who want their mommy and daddy – or after mommy and daddy the federal government – to keep treating them like babies forever.

That’s why the worse things get economically, the better off the Democrat Party will be in 2016.

Margaret Thatcher, God Rest Her Soul, NAILED The Essence Of American Liberalism: They’d Rather The Poor Be Poorer Provided The Rich Are Less Rich

April 8, 2013

Margaret Thatcher, speaking before the House of Commons on November 22, 1990:

Transcript (from the video):

Prime Minister Thatcher: If the hon. Gentleman will just listen, he might hear something that he did not know. The average pensioner now has twice as much to hand on to his children as he did 11 years ago. They are thinking about the future. This massive rise in our living standards reflects the extraordinary transformation of the private sector.

Mr. Hughes: There is no doubt that the Prime Minister, in many ways, has achieved substantial success. There is one statistic, however, that I understand is not however challenged, and that is that, over her 11 years as Prime Minister, the gap between the richest 10 per cent. and the poorest 10 per cent, has widened substantially. At the end of her chapter of British politics, how can she say that she can justify the fact that many people in a constituency such as mine are relatively much poorer, much less well housed and much less well provided for than they were in 1979? Surely she accepts that that is not a record that she or any Prime Minister can be proud of.

Prime Minister Thatcher: Mr Speaker, ALL levels of income are better off than they were in 1979.  But what the honorable member is saying is that he would rather the poor were poorer provided the rich were less rich.  That’s why you will NEVER create the wealth for better social services as we have.  And what a policy!  Yes, he would rather have the poor poorer, provided the rich were less rich.  That is the liberal policy.

Mr. Hughes: No.

Prime Minister Thatcher: Yes, it came out!  He didn’t intend it to, but it did.

[Different liberal socialist Mr. Sillars]: The prime minister is aware that I detest every single one of her domestic policies and I have never hidden that fact.

Prime Minister Thatcher: And I think that the honorable gentleman knows that I have the same contempt for his socialist policies as the people of East Europe who have experienced it.  I think I must have hit the right nail on the head when I pointed out the logic of those policies are they’d rather have the poor poorer.  Once they start to talk about the gap, they’d rather the gap were that [indicating] – down here – not that [indicating], but that [indicating].  So long as the gap is smaller, so long as the gap is smaller, they’d rather have the poor poorer.  You do not create wealth and opportunity that way.  You do not create a property-owning democracy that way.

Margaret Thatcher was EVERY BIT as correct about the liberal American socialists like Obama who are running this country into its grave as she was about the liberal British socialists of her era.

The median wage has PLUMMETED under Obama’s failed presidency.  And as the last jobs report just proved (yet again), the poor have no chance of even being able to FIND a damn job as they are driven out of Obama’s failed economy in despair.  Under Obama, the labor participation rate – the percentage of working age Americans with jobs – there are fewer working Americans today than there have been since 1979.  And it’s actually far, FAR worse than it was in 1979 – because back in 1979, not NEARLY as many women wanted a to have a job as today.

Obama has created a jobs HOLOCAUST for the “poor.”  There is no question Obama has made the poor poorer.

And the fact that his welfare state has absolutely exploded – with food stamp dependency up by 100 percent since Obama took office – is proof of that vile pudding.

She said:

“I came to office with one deliberate intent: to change Britain from a dependent to a self-reliant society — from a give-it-to-me, to a do-it-yourself nation. A get-up-and-go, instead of a sit-back-and-wait-for-it Britain.”

What kind of nation has Obama “fundamentally transformed America” into?  The very kind that Margaret Thatcher sought to deliver her nation FROM.

She nailed Obama right on the head when she summed up the results of his attempt to socialize the American economy by describing the failed results of the British Labour Party:

I was speaking of the Labour party wanting to renationalise privatised industry. Four of the industries that we have privatised are in the top 10 British businesses, but at the very bottom of the list of 1,000 British businesses lie four nationalised industries. Labour’s industries consume the wealth that others create and give nothing back.

That’s exactly what Obama has given us: the nationalized industries of his crony capitalist fascism where only HE and his bureaucrat thugs get to decide who wins and who loses, who gets to keep their money and who gets their money taxed, who succeeds and who fails.

Today Fisker – another of the failed liberal boondoggles that Obama gave half a billion taxpayer dollars to – is beginning the process of filing for bankruptcy after laying of 3/4 of its workforce.

In 2009, when Joe Biden trumpted the Obama half-billion boondoggle loan to Fisker, Joe Biden trumpeted:

The doubters were wrong about our ability to manufacture.”

No we weren’t, you failed turd.  YOU were wrong.  You were catastrophically wrong and WE WERE COMPLETELY RIGHT JUST AS I PREDICTED WE’D BE COMPLETELY RIGHT.  Just as you were wrong about all of Obama’s other failed boondoggles:

Barack Obama is the Solyndra President.  Well, make that the Solyndra-EverGreenSpectraWattFirst SolarSolar TrustAbound SolarBrightSourceLSP EnergyEner1SunPowerBeacon PowerECOtalityA123Uni SolarAzure Dynamics President.  Not to mention all the other now-bankrupt green energy crony-capitalist businesses that have stolen more than $2 billion dollars of the American people’s money.

And that sum of massive Obama failure has grown massively since I wrote that a year ago – as Fisker alone proves.

Reality simply doesn’t matter to dishonest hypocrite liberals or to their dishonest and hypocritical ideology of liberalism.  There is simply no contact with the real world.  The Word of God enables humans to – at least in part – be able to see the world accurately, as God sees it.  Liberals hate the Word of God and the Judeo-Christian worldview which is based on the Word of God.  Instead, liberals view the world through demonic secular humanist theories such as existentialism, postmodernism and yes, Marxism and its socialist cousin fascism.  They are blind fools leading a blind and foolish world into the heart of darkness.  And they are about to get their way.

It’s not that conservatives have no convincing arguments; it is rather that, between the facts that a) mainstream media propaganda deceitfully distorts the conservative message; and b) we are entering the last days before the Antichrist and the mark of the beast as God has decreed that it is time that the world receive the judgment for its wickedness that it deserves – which is why we have the terrible choice between a Mormon Mitt Romney who believes Jesus Christ is the spirit brother of Lucifer and an Obama who actually IS the spirit brother of Lucifer; c) which results in RINO turds like John McCain, Lindsey Grahem and Mitt Romney being the inarticulate voices of the Republican Party who can’t argue their way out of a wet paper bag on a rainy day.

Todays’ leaders have no courage, no backbone and no clue.  Because they are men and women manufactured by politics rather than men and women shaped by virtue.

Now we are cursed with Barack Hussein Obama, a fool who believes the disease is the cure.  And if his “cure” doesn’t work to plague America with more of his disease.  And then more disease, and still more.

When God damned Europe for its wickedness in the wake of the rise of Stalin and Hitler, there WERE no intelligent voices of opposition who were allowed to rise up and confront the evil and stupidity that were swallowing up the world.  In nation after nation in Europe, you had the dismal choice between an evil, terrible choice and a slightly less evil, terrible choice.  And again and again the most evil and terrible choice was the one that prevailed.

We won’t see your like again, Mrs. Thatcher.  But God bless you for your good work on this earth.  The world desperately needs leaders like you, but they will not rise.  Because the beast is coming – and fools must reign to welcome him and his coming mark.

Enjoy your rest with God in heaven, Iron Lady.  You truly earned it.

Would that we had your like now instead of the God damn America that we have under this failed presidency of a man who is every bit as foolish as the fools you exposed.

The Secret Of The Dishonest Unemployment Report Revealed – 4 Million Jobs DESTROYED Under Obama And Worst Labor Participation in 31 Years

September 24, 2012

I’ve written about the disastrous hollowing-out and destruction of the American economy by the Job-Destroyer-in-Chief before.  It’s good to see it being echoed by excellent conservative sites such as American Thinker and even BETTER to see it taken up by Reuters:

September 23, 2012
The ‘hidden’ unemployed
Rick Moran

Every month when the jobless numbers come out, Obama critics take pains to point out that the “official” number is very misleading.

One of the major reasons is that the published unemployment rate does not include such “hidden” workers as those working part time who would like to work full time, and those who have given up looking for work.

Reuters has a good piece today on the latter:

Economists, analyzing government data, estimate about 4 million fewer people are in the labor force than in December 2007, primarily due to a lack of jobs rather than the normal aging of America’s population. The size of the shift underscores the severity of the jobs crisis.

If all those so-called discouraged jobseekers had remained in the labor force, August’s jobless rate of 8.1 percent would have been 10.5 percent.

The jobs crisis spurred the Federal Reserve last week to launch a new bond-buying program and promise to keep it running until the labor market improves. It also poses a challenge to President Barack Obama’s re-election bid.

The labor force participation rate, or the proportion of working-age Americans who have a job or are looking for one has fallen by an unprecedented 2.5 percentage points since December 2007, slumping to a 31-year low of 63.5 percent.

“We never had a drop like that before in other recessions. The economy is worse off than people realize when people just look at the unemployment rate,” said Keith Hall, senior research fellow at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University in Arlington, Virginia.

The participation rate would be expected to hold pretty much steady if the economy was growing at a normal pace. Only about a third of the drop in the participation rate is believed to be the result of the aging U.S. population.

The economy lost 8.7 million jobs in the 2007-09 recession and has so far recouped a little more than half of them.

Economists say jobs growth of around 125,000 per month is normally needed just to hold the jobless rate steady.

Given the likelihood that Americans will flood back into the labor market when the recovery gains traction, a pace twice that strong would be needed over a sustained period to make progress reducing the unemployment rate.

Last month, employers created just 96,000 jobs.

Some areas of the country are better off than others jobs-wise, but that last factoid from Reuters should give us pause. There have only been two months during the Obama administration that have seen more than 250,000 jobs created. If there ever is anything like a normal recovery, the real unemployment rate will skyrocket once the discouraged workers are counted again by the BLS.

No one knows the future but God.  That said, it is my belief that if Obama is reelected, you will see a widespread dive in joblessness as small businesses that have just been hanging on hoping the turd would be voted out variously come to the conclusion, “The hell with it.”

Unemployment Holocaust: 96,000 Jobs Added, 368,000 Give Up Hope Under Obama. For Every Job Obama Created, FOUR Bailed Out Of Declining Workforce

September 7, 2012

Joe Biden said it last night in his speech: “We’ve turned the corner.”

If you read this article, you will see how right – and yet how terribly, wickedly wrong – Joe Biden and the Obama administration truly are.

The key to understanding the official (U-3) unemployment rate is the bizarre measure by which people who are out of work are counted as “unemployed” only if they’re actively looking for a job.  Only 63 percent of working-age adults are working in Obama’s God damn America.  Millions of people – over 23 million – have dropped out of the work force, making this unemployment statistic not only meaningless, but cruel, as oppressed people simply don’t count any more.

The most accurate description of the August unemployment report is coming from the UK:

Are you better off? Just 96,000 jobs added in August as 368,000 people LEAVE the workforce in bleak employment report dealing blow to Obama re-election hopes
• Lowest workforce participation rate since September 1981
• Jobless rate drops to 8.1 per cent but only because workforce shrinks
• President Barack Obama knew of figures before big speech

Just 96,000 American jobs were added in August in a bleak monthly jobs report as 368,000 left the workforce, bringing labour market participation down to its lowest level for 31 years and dealing a blow to President Barack Obama’s re-election chances.

The national unemployment rate dropped to 8.1 per cent, down from 8.3 per cent, but this was only because so many people gave up looking for work. If the participation rate had not dropped so precipitously, unemployment would have risen to 8.4 per cent.

Factory employment fell by the most in two years and temporary-help companies eliminated positions for the first time in five months. The 69.9 per cent labor force participation rate for men is at lowest level recorded since the US government began tracking it in 1948.

According to James Pethokoukis of the American Enterprise Institute, the unemployment rate would be 11.4 per cent if the labour force participation rate had remained what it was when Obama took office in January 2009.

President Barack Obama was made aware of the figures before he took the stage to deliver his prime-time address at the Democratic convention on Thursday night, which could account for his sometimes grim demeanour as he spoke.

In a biting statement, Romney said: ‘If last night was the party, this morning is the hangover. For every net new job created, nearly four Americans gave up looking for work entirely. This is more of the same for middle class families who are suffering through the worst economic recovery since the Great Depression.

‘After 43 straight months of unemployment above eight per cent, it is clear that President Obama just hasn’t lived up to his promises and his policies haven’t worked. We aren’t better off than they were four years ago. My plan for a stronger middle class will create 12 million new jobs by the end of my first term. America deserves new leadership that will get our economy moving again.’

On Thursday night, Obama laid out his case for being re-elected to a second term by comparing himself to Franklin D. Roosevelt, who won an unprecedented four presidential elections and led America to recovery after the Great Depression.

Stalling: The growth of new jobs has taken a significant dip compared to the beginning of the year

The grim economic data came as Obama and Romney were deadlocked in the national opinion polls in a race that has been too close to call for many months. It was the last opportunity for either man to use a defined ‘moment’ to change the trajectory of the race before the three presidential debates in October.

[…]

The labor force participation rate declined again to 63.5%.   That is down from 65.7% when Obama assumed office in January 2009.  That 2.2% destruction in the American workforce participation rate, but it is actually huge:

“In the latest, much celebrated, unemployment report, the labor force participation rate had plummeted to 63.7 percent, the most rapid decline in U.S. history,” writes economist Peter Ferrara.

Does that sound like a president who should be reelected?  Obama is presiding over “the most rapid decline in U.S. history.”  His polices are failing about as massively as they could fail.

Fox New reported:

Friday’s report was discouraging throughout. Hourly pay fell, manufacturers cut the most jobs in two years and the number of people in the work force dropped to its lowest level in 31 years.

As stated in both articles, this is the lowest participation in the employment force in 31 years. And the rate for men is the lowest number EVER RECORDED since tracking began back in 1948.

I’ve written about this growing disaster: two years ago, Obama had degenerated the workforce to it’s lowest participation rate in 25 years.  Last year, Obama sunk the labor participation rate to its lowest level in 27 years.  Just in May of this year, it was at the lowest level in 30 years.  And now it is at the lowest level in 31 years and sinking like a stone.

At the rate we’re going, as I’ve said, Obama will be crowing about zero percent unemployment and he and his government cronies will be the only people in America with damn jobs.

Obama has led America into a jobs holocaust.  The only reason the unemployment rate went down is because the participation rate dropped.  If we calculated unemployment by the same participation rate that George Bush handed Obama, unemployment would be 11.4%.

What is true of the labor force participation is also true of business start ups in America under Obama.  Two years ago – and this being during the so-called Obama “recovery,” the number of U.S. business start-ups and dropped 24% – and how the hell does that happen in a “recovery” when you’re supposedly coming out of a recession that you blame Bush for?  Last year the number of business start-ups had plunged to a 25 year low which was THE LOWEST level ever measured since the statistic began to be tracked in 1986.  Now under Obama’s utterly failed leadership and under his Marxist class warfare, the number of business start-ups is at a 30 year low.

Obama isn’t adding anywhere NEAR enough jobs to keep up with the 10 million people who have joined the workforce by virtue of becoming adults during his presidency.  And when you add the discouraged workers who are simply abandoning all hope of any change in Obama’s rhetoric-based “reality” of “hope and change,” 96,000 jobs is a thin stream of piss in the Pacific Ocean.

If you have any damn clue whatsoever about what is going on in this economy, you have simply got to be an evil psychotic communist to believe that Barack Obama should be reelected.

Obama has made his entire presidency about demonizing and fearmongering the last presidency.  But that last presidency had an average unemployment rate of 5.26%, basically the same as Bill Clinton whom Democrats idolize.  Versus Obama, who promised the American people that if his now known to have been a failed stimulus, unemployment would never go above 8% (whereas it’s been over that for his entire presidency) and the current unemployment rate was supposed to be 5.4% today.

Obama is great at making promises; but he’s just as bad at fulfilling them as he is at making them.  He believes he can make a bunch of promises and then move on to make a new batch of promises.  That was the essence of his speech last night.

Zero Hedge (who provided this link to as well as a block quote from the official BLS report) summed it up thus:

In August, two months ahead of the presidential election ahead of which this number will be one of the most critical and talked about, the US generated just 96,000 non-farm payroll jobs, on expectations of 130K additions, and compared to the July number of 163,000, now revised to 143,000K. Private payrolls rose by a modest 103,000, much lower than the expected number of 142K, and down from July’s revised 162K. -15,000 manufacturing jobs were lost, compared to the expected +10K, and sadly just a little bit short of Obama’s recent promise to add 1 million manufacturing jobs by 2016. Finally, while the unemployment rate came lower (surprise, surprise: this is what appears in newspapers) at 8.1%, far lower than expectations of 8.3%, and below last month’s 8.3%, the broad total underemployment rate (U-6) continues to be sticky at 14.7%. Birth Death added 87,000, up from July’s 52,000. The reason for the drop in the unemployment rate: labor force participation dropped to 63.5%, down from 63.7%. Oddly enough, this report leaves the NEW QE door open, even as Obama can take the accolade for a declining unemployment rate. Win-win for everyone

Just to point out what Zero Hedge hinted at: there is a constant monkeying with the data such that for some reason every single report ends up ultimately being revised DOWN under Obama.  And it all seems to be geared toward a game of giving Obama talking points on the one hand and the Federal Reserve more power to devalue our currency on the other.

I like the way Clint Eastwood put it following his “empty chair” talk at the RNC:

“President Obama is the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people.”

True that.

We’ve turned the corner, all right.  And 368,000 more Americans showed their agreement this month by abandoning hope of getting a job in the Obama regime.  Under this failed presidency, we are heading at breakneck speed toward a depression unlike anything this nation has ever seen.  Because if Obama is reelected, you will see businesses immediately do the exact same thing they did when he was elected in 2008: bail out of America as the American people betray them by electing a business-hating Marxist.  Only this time it will be worse as businesses do what millions of Americans have already done in despair and quit “participating” in the US economy.

‘The Other Side Will Tell You’ (The Truth): The Worst President EVER Tries To Inoculate His Followers Against Reality

June 15, 2012

As carried by Yahoo News:

In an Ohio campaign event, President Barack Obama described the kind of ads he foresees the GOP running against him during the election cycle.

“From now until then, both sides will spend tons of money on TV commercials. The other side will spend over a billion dollars on ads that tell you the economy is bad, that it’s all my fault; that I can’t fix it because I think government is always the answer, or because I didn’t make a lot of money in the private sector and don’t understand it, or because I’m in over my head, or because I think everything and everybody is doing just fine,” Obama said at Cuyahoga Community College Metropolitan Campus in Ohio on Thursday.

Notably, Obama did not refute the hypothetical accusations.

“That’s what the scary voice in the ads will say; that’s what Mr. Romney will say; that’s what the Republicans in Congress will say. Well, you know, that may be their plan to win the election. But it’s not a plan to create jobs. It’s not a plan to grow the economy. It’s not a plan to pay down the debt. And it’s sure not a plan to revive the middle class and secure our future.”

It’s interesting.  Obama first says, “The other side will spend over a billion dollars…”  Do you know which side first brought up the real possibility that it would be able to raise over a billion dollars?

Obama’s side.

Let’s consider a few facts.  Barack Obama became the first politician – as young and as inexperienced as he is – to raise over a billion dollars in the entire history of the human race.  Obama’s favorite source of money was the very Wall Street financiers he demonized as greedy and cynical fat catsObama is the slick pathological political weasel who has now held more fundraisers than the last five presidents COMBINED. As of March 27, Obama had attended 191 fundraisers – FAR EXCEEDING ANY PRESIDENT EVER RECORDED IN HISTORY.  In 2008, Obama outspent John McCain by at least 3-1 and by as much as 5-1 after breaking his promise to accept the public campaign matching funds that every previous party nominee had accepted until Obama.

Now this pathological weasel is following the liberal script to whine about the huge sums of money that HE HIMSELF OPENED THE DOORS TO HELL IN RAISING.  There never would have BEEN a Citizens United case that the left so demonizes had Obama accepted the same matching funds that every major party candidate for president had accepted before him.  Obama is the pathological weasel who started a war over campaign money and used that war chest to annihilate the other side and then actually complained that the other side was actually fighting back.

Obama says they’re going to tell you “that tell you the economy is bad, that it’s all my fault.”  Well, that’s a shocker.  We thought Obama knew that he’d been the president for the last four years and that the president was responsible for his economy.  That’s been true in the past, but not in this case, because Obama is a pathological weasel and a malignant narcissist to boot.  So Obama has never once accepted so much as a scintilla of blame for ANY of his four years of failure.  Rather, he’s literally still blaming Bush – and if you want four more years of failure along with four more years of excuses and four more years of blaming Bush, you know who to vote for.  Rather, he’s blaming the Republican Party for “obstructionism” – as if the two years of utter Democrat obstructionism in which Democrats controlled both the House AND the Senate during the period between 2006 and 2008 when the economy went to crap, during which a Senator named Barack Obama and a Senator named Joe Biden participated in obstructing absolutely everything George Bush tried to do while personally demonizing him on a constant basis, and the first two years of the Obama administration when he had total control of the White House, the House and the Senate but got NOTHING done to help the economy, mattered.

I ask you:

Further, Obama and the Democrats – in trying to demonize Republicans for their “obstructionism” – are demanding that Republicans vote for what is essentially the son of the son of Obama’s first massive and massively failed stimulus. Remember that first massive stimulus that was officially $862 billion but which the CBO said would actually cost $3.27 TRILLION when it was all said and done? Remember that second stimulus program for $447 billion that will likewise cost far more than that? How many more stimulus programs should Obama get? How many trillions of dollars in government spending is enough?

But that’s exactly what Obama is doing: demanding more of what he has already done and which has already failed.  Obama demands that America bash its head against a reinforced brick wall until it is a brainless collectivist socialist state like Europe.  Nothing will stop him from turning America into a failed state except an election.

So yeah, Barry Hussein, we DO blame you for your four years of mess.  Consider this summary of Obama’s record:

Few things are more difficult in politics than confronting failure and learning from it. It is especially difficult when a leader you have championed, and in whom you have placed your highest hopes, turns out to be less than he seemed.

Such is the dilemma facing liberals in the age of Obama. Barack Obama entered the presidency with his sights and standards very high, and many liberals believed he could be the transformative figure they had been awaiting for generations. But by now it is clear that, by any reasonable measure (including those set out by Obama himself at the beginning of his term), his presidency has been a failure.

Consider the economy. President Obama has overseen the weakest recovery on record. He is on track to have the worst jobs record of any president in the modern era. The standard of living for Americans has fallen more dramatically during his presidency than during any since the government began recording it five decades ago. As of this writing, unemployment has been above 8 percent for 38 consecutive months, the longest such stretch since the Great Depression. Home values are nearly 35 percent lower than they were five years ago. A record 46 million Americans are now living in poverty.

The economist Michael Boskin has listed some of the post–World War II records set during the Obama years: among them, federal spending as a percentage of GDP at 25 percent, the federal debt as a percentage of GDP at 67 percent, and the budget deficit as a percentage of GDP at 10 percent. The United States has amassed more than $5 trillion in debt since January 2009, with the president having submitted four budgets with trillion-dollar-plus deficits. (Prior to Obama, no president had submitted even a single budget with deficits in excess of a trillion dollars.) In addition, government dependency, defined as the percentage of persons receiving one or more federal benefit payments, is the highest in American history.

Add to this the fact that the president’s signature domestic achievement, the Affordable Care Act, is among the most unpopular major domestic policies passed in the last century; and that the $787 billion American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, widely known as Obama’s stimulus package, is so unpopular that his aides have virtually expelled the word stimulus from their lexicon.

And yeah, add to that the fact that Obama keeps trying to same trick under different names – it’s no longer a “stimulus,” it’s an investment  The “S” word is a dirty word, so Obama has to use another dirty word to sucker the American people into doing the same fool thing all over again.  It’s no longer “shovel-ready jobs,” it’s “construction workers ready to get dirty”.  And, you see, the fact that Obama is not talking about construction workers ready to get dirty “right now” means we can’t consider his infamous confession that “Shovel-ready was not as … uh .. shovel-ready as we expected.”

Obama most certainly cannot run claiming that the American people are better off under his presidency than they were.  We just found out that the average American household lost a whopping forty percent of their wealth.  Liberals want to blame some of that loss on Bush, but guess what: the median household income is down more after Obama’s first three years of failure (down $4,300 since assuming office)  than it was under the entire Bush presidency (down $2,000 over eight years):

Barack Obama campaigned four years ago assailing President George W. Bush for wage losses suffered by the middle class. More than three years into Obama’s own presidency, those declines have only deepened.

The rebound from the worst recession since the 1930s has generated relatively few of the moderately skilled jobs that once supported the middle class, tightening the financial squeeze on many Americans, even those who are employed.

[…]

As a candidate in 2008, Obama blamed the reversals largely on the policies of Bush and other Republicans. He cited census figures showing that median income for working-age households — those headed by someone younger than 65 — had dropped more than $2,000 after inflation during the first seven years of Bush’s time in office.

Yet real median household income in March was down $4,300 since Obama took office in January 2009 and down $2,900 since the June 2009 start of the economic recovery, according to an analysis of census data by Sentier Research, an economic- consulting firm in Annapolis, Maryland.

One of the interesting things that comes from these facts is that Americans have actually lost more in household income SINCE “the recession officially ended” ($2,900) than they had during the recession ($4,300 – $2,900 = $1,400).  Obama’s “recovery” is a “wreckovery” – which is the term conservatives like Michelle Malkin coined in predicting that Obamanomics would be a colossal and wildly expensive failure.  It is literally true to state that Obama’s “recovery” has been harder on American families economically than the recession that he keeps claiming he inherited was for those families.

There are more Americans living in poverty under Obama than any time during the 52 years the government has been publishing figures for that statistic.  There are more grown-ups living with their parents than any time during the last sixty years.

Pardon us for telling the world about what a profound failure you are, Barry Hussein.  Sorry it bothers you.  Truly sorry you are a pathetic and inadequate man in a job that is clearly way over your abilities to perform.

Obama says the Republicans are going to say “that it’s all my fault; that I can’t fix it.”

Obama himself once talked about “If I can’t fix the economy”:

Obama in 2009: If I can’t fix the economy in three years, you can call me former President Obama
by editor on June 16, 2011

Don’t you hate it when your own words come back to bite you in the butt? Back in February 2009 President Obama told Today Show host Matt Lauer that he’d be a one-term president if he didn’t fix the economy in three years.

“I will be held accountable,” Obama said. “I’ve got four years and … A year form now, I think people are going to see that we’re starting to make some progress, but there’s still going to be some pain out there … If I don’t have this done in three years, then there’s going to be a one-term proposition.”

Obama at the time he made that remark clearly believed that his Obamanomics held the answer, and that he could turn the economy around with his Obamanomics.  His was the administration that predicted that if his stimulus was passed – by which I mean the first $862 billion one, not the second $447 billion dollar one that he demanded follow it – unemployment would not go above 8% and that in fact unemployment would be less than 6% by now.  And he was saying if I’m wrong I’ve got no business holding this job and I should be voted out of office.

Question: DID OBAMA FIX THE ECONOMY? Please consider the above section on the economy before you provide an asinine answer, liberal.

Obama predicts we’ll going to say that “the economy is bad, that it’s all my fault; that I can’t fix it because I think government is always the answer.”

As Dinesh D’Souza points out:

Barack Obama is the most antibusiness president in a generation, perhaps in American history. Thanks to him the era of big government is back. Obama runs up taxpayer debt not in the billions but in the trillions. He has expanded the federal government’s control over home mortgages, investment banking, health care, autos and energy. The Weekly Standard summarizes Obama’s approach as omnipotence at home, impotence abroad.

Not only has Obama enacted spending that DWARFS anything ever before seen in the entire history of the human race, and not only is Obama literally spending $2.52 in bucks seized from taxpayers or borrowed from the Chinese for every $1 he gets in bang, not only are Obama’s budgets so insane than not even one single DEMOCRAT would vote for them for the last two years in a row, but the actual Obama spending is even worse than the official numbers:

Real federal deficit dwarfs official tally
By Dennis Cauchon, USA TODAY

The typical American household would have paid nearly all of its income in taxes last year to balance the budget if the government used standard accounting rules to compute the deficit, a USA TODAY analysis finds.

Under those accounting practices, the government ran red ink last year equal to $42,054 per household — nearly four times the official number reported under unique rules set by Congress.

A U.S. household’s median income is $49,445, the Census reports.

The big difference between the official deficit and standard accounting: Congress exempts itself from including the cost of promised retirement benefits. Yet companies, states and local governments must include retirement commitments in financial statements, as required by federal law and private boards that set accounting rules.

The deficit was $5 trillion last year under those rules. The official number was $1.3 trillion. Liabilities for Social Security, Medicare and other retirement programs rose by $3.7 trillion in 2011, according to government actuaries, but the amount was not registered on the government’s books.

America’s real debt is not the on-its-face massive $16 trillion; it is well over $211 trillion.  And virtually every penny of that debt is due to Democrat policies.  And what we are looking at now is a coming $600 trillion collapse.  Again, mostly created by liberals and liberal policies.

Yeah, Barry Hussein, you believe that government is God, and you are as determined as any true believer to force all Americans to bow down before you as the god of your Government and render you sacrifices and offerings otherwise known as “taxes.”  You DO believe “government is always the answer.”

And as was pointed out, in your demagogic attack that masqueraded as a “major policy speech” and yet offered nothing, NOTHING, you “did not refute the hypothetical accusations” that you literally levied against yourself.

Rather, you state them as a rhetorical device to suggest that they now somehow can’t be used against you – no matter how true they are and no matter what a failure you are.  And when we do in fact say the facts that you predicted we’d say – and why wouldn’t we? – you want your worshipers to disconnect the logical side of their brains and instead say, “Obama was right!  Scary voice man said exactly what Obama predicted!”

Obama says that the GOP will go after him “because I didn’t make a lot of money in the private sector.”  That isn’t true, and if you claim it is, find me a major conservative source that argues that Obama didn’t make enough money to be deemed a fit candidate for president.  It’s a straw man demagogic argument like most all of his other arguments that doesn’t have a scintilla of truth to it.

Our argument isn’t that Obama isn’t “rich” and so he shouldn’t be president (Obama IS rich, by the way: his books made him so); our argument is that Obama has basically NEVER had a real job in the private sector and has absolutely no idea whatsoever how the private sector works.  In fact, when Obama came the closest he ever would in his career to having such a job, he was so radical and so anti-business that he wrote, “I felt like a spy behind enemy lines.”  Obama’s real love was for socialist community agitating and undermining the private sector.  Our argument is also the fact that Obama has an administration that is almost as clueless in actual world business experience as he is:

The Obama administration is truly one of the blind leading the blind.

Obama predicts his opponents will say he should not be president “because I think everything and everybody is doing just fine.”  Again, Obama demagogues his opponents by offering a straw man.  Unlike Obama, we don’t have to invent false statements to demonize our opponentWE CAN RELY ON OBAMA’S VERY OWN WORDS:

“The private sector is doing fine. Where we’re seeing weaknesses in our economy have to do with state and local government,” President Obama claimed on Friday. His solution to fix the public sector was more government spending.

Nobody is arguing that Obama says “everybody and everything is doing just fine.”  That is simply typical lying demagoguery from a lying demagogue weasel.  Obama wants to slander and demonize the truth so that when his followers hear it, they will be inoculated against it and turn their brains off.  The fact is that Obama said that the private sector is doing just fine, and that ought to be quite a surprise to the vast majority of Americans.  According to US News and World Report, about 22 million people work in the American public sector.  The OTHER 291 million Americans are in the private sector.  And let me assure you that things aren’t nearly so rosy for those 291 million Americans as Barack Obama claims they are.

I document that the labor participation rate clearly proves that Barack Obama has destroyed jobs at a terrifying rate.  For men, the labor participation rate is now 70% – the lowest it has EVER been since records started being kept in 1948.  The American work force has massively evaporated during the Obama years, with millions of jobs simply vanishing, and if the U.S. unemployment rate were calculated using the labor participation rate that Barack Obama inherited from George W. Bush, the official unemployment rate would be on the order of 11.6%.  I also document that a whopping 88 million working age Americans are completely out of the labor force under Obama’s regime.

“The private sector’s doing fine” is a lie from a genuinely evil man.

Many people have admired Obama’s speaking ability.  Allow me to point something out: the gift of great public speaking can be a blessing or a curse.  In the case of Winston Churchill, it was a blessing, as his courage and clarity of speech rallied the free world to fight and to keep fighting.  In the case of Adolf Hitler, it was a curse as an demon-possessed man used the power of lies to ignite the unholy passions of a nation that had succumbed to a spirit of deception.  I’m not trying to claim that Barack Obama is Adolf Hitler; I’m merely pointing out the fact that the gift of speech can be used not to illuminate the truth, but to deceive, not to reveal reality, but to distort it, not to untangle the truth, but to tangle it up into knots.  Barack Obama does the latter on a constant basis.

When the revelations came out about Rev. Jeremiah Wright – Obama’s self-acknowledged spiritual leader and mentor for over 20 years – I realized that this man was an order of magnitude more evil than any president who had ever sat in the Oval Office, and that America would suffer terribly under him.  History documents that I have not been wrong.

So when Obama says, “They’re going to say this about me,” what he’s really saying is, “They’re going to tell you the truth about me.  Don’t believe it.  Believe my lies instead.”

Rapidly Worsening Labor Participation Rate Now Lowest In More Than THIRTY YEARS Under Obama’s Failed Regime. PLEASE LOOK AT HISTORY!!!

May 7, 2012

I’ve said it before: before long nobody will have a job and the mainstream media will be touting that unemployment is at zero percent.

It’s not just disappointing job numbers we’re looking at, of course; home prices, factory orders, retail sales and construction are all at godawful lows, too.  Let’s talk about Sandra Fluke and her made-up claims so Democrats can demagogue a war on women; let’s talk about Mitt Romney’s dog forty years ago; look over here at the shiny toy I’m waving; just don’t look at Obama’s economic record.

Meanwhile, the mainstream media is working overtime to somehow tease out something “positive” from disastrous economic figures.  Mind you, they were working just as hard to find every dark cloud in every silver lining when Republican Ronald Reagan was president (as I’ve written about before):

When Ronald Reagan came into office he had an awful lot of terrible policies and terrible results from those policies to overcome.  As I wrote back in October 2009:

The numbers told the sad story of the Jimmy Carter presidency: interest rates of 21%; inflation at 13.5%, and an unemployment rate of 7%. And a relatively new economic device called “the misery index” – the combination of the unemployment and inflation rates which Carter had himself used to great effect in his 1976 campaign to win election – was at a shocking 20.5%.

And those who went through those dark and difficult times may soon be looking back to that period as “the good old days.”

Welcome back, Carter.

When Ronald Reagan took office from Jimmy Carter, inflation was at a meteoric 13.3% and the country was in the throes of a fierce recession. There was a real question as to whether workers’ wages would keep up with the costs of living, which made people afraid to either spend or save. And nobody knew how to control inflation – which had risen from 1.4% in 1960 to the aforementioned 13.3% in 1980 – causing a real erosion of confidence in the future. Jimmy Carter answered a reporter’s question as to what he would do about the problem of inflation by answering, “It would be misleading for me to tell any of you that there is a solution to it.”

But Ronald Reagan had a solution. And by the time he left office, he had solved the problem of creeping inflation increases and had actually reversed the trend: he left behind a healthy inflation rate of 4.1%.

Reagan’s policies set the trajectory for growth that would last for 20 years.

[…]

I didn’t mention the labor participation rate in that article.  Frankly I’m not even sure I was that aware of the damned labor participation rate at that point.  But I’m sure aware of it now; and I am watching an employment holocaust under the most failed president in American history with growing horror.

Two years ago Tyler Durden pointed out that the labor participation rate was the lowest in 25 years:

Labor Force Participation Rate Drops To 25 Year Low, At 64.5%
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 11/05/2010 09:03 -0400

The inverse silver lining to today’s jobs report that will be lost in the shuffle of what is perceived as a good NFP (despite consistent initial jobless claims of around 450K, which means that either there is a massive data error, or the rate of job creation has somehow surged) is that labor force participation has now dropped to the lowest rate it has been since 1984, at 64.5%. Assuming a reversion to the long-term average participation rate of 66%, means that the civilian labor force is in reality 157.4 million as opposed to the disclosed 153.9 million, a delta of 3.5 million currently unaccounted for. Maybe someone can ask the president during his imminent press conference what happened to the unemployed population, which would have been 18.3 if this labor force delta was incorporated, resulting in an unemployment rate of 11.6%.

Last year Tyler Durden pointed out that the labor participation rate was the lowest since 1984 (27 years):

Labor Force Participation Rate Drops To 63.9%, Lowest Since January 1984
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 08/05/2011 08:59 -0400

While we still await for BLS.gov to finally come back up online half an hour after printing the actual NFP number, here is the one data point that we know for a fact: the labor force participation rate, and the reason why the general unemployment rate declined to 9.1%, just dropped to 63.9%, the lowest in 16 years, or matches the participation rate from January 1984.

Now, the Associated Press is pointing out that the labor participation rate – which was the worst in 25 years two years ago, and the worst in 27 years last year – IS THE WORST IN THIRTY-ONE YEARS!!!

US hiring slows sharply with just 115K jobs added
Published May 04, 2012
Associated Press

U.S. employers pulled back on hiring in April for the second straight month, a sobering reminder that the economy remains weak. The unemployment rate fell to 8.1 percent, but only because more people gave up looking for work.

The Labor Department said Friday that the economy added just 115,000 jobs in April. That’s below March’s upwardly revised 154,000 jobs and far fewer than the pace from earlier this year.

The unemployment rate has fallen a full percentage point since August to a three-year low. But last month’s decline was not due to job growth. The government only counts people as unemployed if they are actively looking for work.

In April, the percentage of adults working or looking for work fell to the lowest level in more than 30 years.

Employers added an average of 252,000 jobs per month from December through February, a burst of hiring that raised hopes the economy would accelerate. But job gains have averaged only 135,000 in the two months since then.

The slowdown will heighten fears that high gas prices and sluggish income growth are weighing on the broader economy.

Average hourly wages rose a penny in April, to $23.38. They have increased 1.8 percent over the past year, trailing the rate of inflation.

The economy must create at least 125,000 jobs a month just to keep pace with population growth. It generally takes twice that number on a consistent basis to rapidly lower the unemployment rate.

Weak job gains pose a threat to President Barack Obama’s reelection. He is likely to face voters this fall with the highest unemployment rate of any president since World War II.

Economists surveyed by the Associated Press said hiring should be sufficient to push the unemployment rate below 8 percent by Election Day. The 32 economists surveyed by the AP see steady job gains averaging 177,000 a month for the rest of this year. That should be enough to lower the unemployment rate to 7.9 percent by November.

There have been some signs that hiring will improve.

The number of people seeking unemployment benefits fell last week by the most in a year, the government said Thursday. That figure was released after the government compiled its April report. But it could bode well for hiring in May.

And earlier this week, the Institute for Supply Management, a private trade group, said factory activity grew at the fastest pace in 10 months and a gauge of manufacturing employment showed that hiring jumped.

Still, service companies expanded in April at the slowest pace in four months, according to a separate ISM survey. And the group said hiring at those companies, which employ roughly 90 percent of the work force, slowed.

The economy expanded at a 2.2 percent annual rate in the January-March quarter, down from 3 percent growth in the fourth quarter. Economists polled by the AP forecast the economy will grow 2.5 percent this year. In a healthy economy, that would be considered average. But faster growth is needed to spur greater job creation.

Obama is leading us to hell so fast it is unreal.

And he’s actually taking credit for it.  Because as thousands more Americans simply give up in abject despair of finding a job in his failed economy, it artificially reduces the unemployment rate because people who give up are no longer counted.

Which means literally that the more people Obama drives into total despair, the better – at least for Obama:

“The unemployment rate ticked down again,” Obama said during a speech

And the most dishonest, most vile media propaganda since Joseph Goebbels helped give the world the Nazi Party is helping him to do it.  One blogger contemplating the destruction of jobs as measured by labor participation underscores this fact with some quotes from 1984:

“the Times of the nineteenth of December had published the official forecasts of the output of various classes of consumption goods in the fourth quarter of 1983, which was also the sixth quarter of the Ninth Three-Year Plan. Today’s issue contained a statement of the actual output, from which it appeared that the forecasts were in every instance grossly wrong. Winston’s job was to rectify the original figures by making them agree with the later ones.”…George Orwell, “1984″

“And if all others accepted the lie which the Party imposed–if all records told the same tale–then the lie passed into history and became truth. “Who controls the past,” ran the Party slogan, “controls the future: who controls the present controls the past.”…George Orwell, “1984″

Eighty-eight MILLION Americans have been driven out of the workforce under this presidency.  Unemployment would be over ELEVEN PERCENT if we calcuated unemployment at the same labor partipation rate that George Bush had when he left office.  When the rate was at 65.76 not all that long ago, unemployment would have been at 10.9 percent; Obama has now driven the percentage of Americans participating in the labor force down to 63.6 percent.

The civilian labor force participation rate declined in April to 63.6 percent, while the employment-population ratio, at 58.4 percent, changed little.” — BLS statistics, May 4, 2012

For men, the labor participation rate is now 70% – the lowest it has EVER been since records started being kept in 1948.  Democrats love to talk about “the war on women” when they have a war on men that is simply beyond unreal.

THE REAL UNEMPLOYMENT RATE UNDER THIS PRESIDENT IS 11.6 PERCENT:

Real U-3 Unemployment Rate: 11.6%
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 05/04/2012 10:02 -0400

Propaganda unemployment rate: 8.1%; Real unemployment rate: 11.6%. Reason for difference: organic growth of labor force which grows alongside the broader population. Don’t be confused by cheap explanations on TV why the labor force should be declining (especially with ZIRP meaning pre-retirement workers have to stay in the labor force ever longer to supplant their meager fixed income): the widely accepted definition of the labor pool, that used by the CBO and all other government forecasting agencies, assumes a 90,000 growth in the labor force every month as it has to keep in line with the growth of the US population! The implication is simple: using a real labor force participation rate long-term average of 65.8%, the real unemployment rate in April was 11.6%, based on the 5.4 million additional workers that should be counted as part of the U-3 which then means that the real number of unemployed is not 12.5 million but 17.9 million, which in turn implies a 11.6% unemployment rate in the US. This also means that the spread between the propaganda, and the real number is now 3.5%: the most it has been since the early 1980s.

It was said during the Great Depression that it really wasn’t so bad – as long as you had a job.

If you don’t have a job, or if you lose your job – as more Americans are losing their jobs every day now – Barack Obama is the worst enemy you ever had in your life.  If you lose your job, Barack Obama will crush you under his foot and when you give up bothering to look, Obama will tout the disaster that he has made of your life into a “success” as the bogus unemployment rate “drops.”

As I said in the title, PLEASE LOOK AT HISTORY!!!  Because since Obama touted his massisvely failed stimulus, everything he said would happen turned out to be a lie, and everything conservatives predicted turned out to be TRUE.  Here is a chart of the Obama stimulus, with lines showing what was predicted by Obama versus REALITY:

When you examine Obama’s very own predictions, he promised America that if his stimulus passed (and, uh, it did, you know) unemployment would be at 6 percent today. But if we DIDN’T pass his stumulus, things would be worse and unemployment would be higher – at about 6.7 percent today. AND EVEN BY THE MOST BOGUS CALCULATION UNEMPLOYMENT WITH OBAMA’S STIMULUS IS FAR WORSE THAN OBAMA SAID IT WOULD BE WITHOUT HIS DAMN STIMULUS.

Obama is now selling another whopping snake-oil lie by claiming that the answer to prosperity is more damn taxes on producers to punish them for daring to produce.  If we eliminated our military budget, if we eliminated all of our discretionary spending, if we added Obama’s deceitful “Buffett rule,” we STILL wouldn’t be able to overcome OBAMA’S MASSIVE FEDERAL BUDGET DEFICIT.  This truly evil man is ruining us.

Please look at history and wake UP, damn it.  Stop being the proverbial lemming who follows his leader off the cliff!  Stop being the proverbial frog in the pot of wter who allows himself to be boiled to death.

The reality is that Obama has created a holocaust.  And just as has tragically happened in the past, and just like the book 1984 examined, the bad guys are hiding it.

Next year, if Obama gets re-elected, the labor participation rate – measuring the number of working-age Americans who actually have JOBS – will be the lowest since Carter.  And the fact that there won’t be any Ronald Reagan to fix it, combined with the true disaster Obama has compiled and will continue to compile, will be enough to bury this country.

Update, August 2, 2013: The Labor Participation Rate has plummeted another half a percent (which amounts to millions of jobs lost) since my last entry.  It stands at 63.4%, We are now even beyond the territory of failed president Jimmy Carter.  We’re now in the territory of the worst participation rate since World War II ended.  And yes, as that author notes, had this happened during the fifth year of Reagan, it would have been described in terms of a holocaust; but it’s in the fifth year of Obama, so it is being lauded.

Update: May 2, 2014 – The labor force participation rate has now declined to 62.8%, the lowest level in 36 years since 1978.

Update, September 10, 2014 – Yeah, it’s STILL 62.8%.

Real Unemployment Skyrocketing With Record 88 Million Working-Age Americans Out Of Labor Force In Obama’s God Damn America

Amid disappointing unemployment numbers that fell 80,000 jobs short of projections, another number is raising eyebrows: the number of Americans not in the labor force has hit a record high 87,897,000.

This figure explains why overall unemployment dropped from 8.3% to 8.2%, as the Department of Labor’s unemployment figure does not include people who have given up hope and are not actively seeking employment.

When the number of individuals who have stopped looking for a job and/or who are working part-time but desire full-time employment is included–a figure known as the “underemployment rate”–real unemployment stands at 19.1%.

When Barack Obama assumed office, the labor participation rate was 65.76 percent.  If we were calculating unemployment by that measure, the official unemployment rate would be 10.9 percent right now:

If the size of the U.S. labor force as a share of the total population was the same as it was when Barack Obama took office—65.7% then vs. 63.8% today down from last month—the U-3 unemployment rate would be 10.9%.

At the rate we’re going in Obama’s God damn America, we will have zero percent unemployment and nobody will actually have a damn job.

And just to point out what a gigantic failure Obama’s boondoggle stimulus was:

Recall that back in 2009, White House economists Jared Bernstein and Christina Romer used their old-fashioned Keynesian model to predict how the $800 billion stimulus would affect employment. According to their model—as displayed in the above chart, updated—unemployment should be around 5.8% today.

In God damn America, lies are explained away with more lies.  And abject failure is simply ignored in favor of “blame Bush” and the rhetoric of Marxist class warfare – which of course worked so great for the former USSR.

Where Are The Jobs, Obama You Liar???

February 20, 2012

What should you call a president who falsely keeps claiming that he’s created millions of jobs when in reality he’s annihilated more than EIGHT MILLION JOBS since taking office???

I call him a liar.

Barack Obama is a pure, distilled liar.  When I heard those Jeremiah Wright sermons, and understood that Barack Obama had spent more than twenty years voluntarily submitting himself and his family to a toxic church under a racist, un-American, Marxist preacher, I KNEW that Barack Obama was a truly evil man.  I had a vision of America uner this wicked man – and it looked like our present state.

Thirteen million Americans are now out of work and simply not being counted.  Well under 2/3rds of the potential American labor force that ought to have jobs are working.  Or, to put it another way, more than a THIRD of the American workforce has been completely shut out of the work force under this presidency and the “leadership” of a Democrat Party that hasn’t even bothered to write a budget in 1,024 days.

Where are the jobs?
Bob Beauprez

Three years ago yesterday Barack Obama signed his $800 billion Stimulus into law in Denver, Colorado.

He said would save or create 4 million jobs and that the unemployment rate would be below 6% by now. He failed.

Obama’s spending didn’t stop with the Stimulus of course. In fact he’s piled up more than $4 trillion of new debt during his first three years with more than a trillion of additional red ink expected this year.

Still the question remains, where are the jobs? Today more than 13 million Americans that want a job can’t find one. Another 4 million Americans have given up even trying to find work. Five million jobs lost in the recession have yet to return. This has already been the deepest and longest lasting recession since the Great Depression. Barack Obama squandered trillions of dollars and American’s still wonder, “Where are the jobs?” he promised.

The following graph is courtesy of the House Republican Study Committee (RSC). It charts the steep decline of the Labor Participation Rate (LPR) from January 2005 to the present. The LPR represents the number of people employed or looking for a job out of the total age-eligible workforce. It is an indication of the confidence level in the state of the economy. It’s not a very encouraging picture, and yet another serious indictment of the failed policies and wasteful spending of this Administration.

From the Republican Study Group:

Democrats said their costly plan ($1.2 trillion, including interest) would “save or create” up to 4 million jobs and bring the unemployment rate down to about 6% today. The unemployment rate has not fallen below 8% at any point in the last 36 months. Furthermore, the official unemployment rate does not actually count unemployed people who have given up looking for work.

The above chart shows the “labor force participation rate.” This statistic represents the share of working-age Americans who are either employed or unemployed but looking for work. It is not a pretty picture. Only 63.7% of working-age Americans are currently in the workforce – the lowest in almost 29 years!

To put it another way, 36.3% of working-age Americans do not have a job and are not even looking.

Here’s another sobering chart that comes to the same conclusion.  Only it also points out that Obama has actually manufactured a jobs holocaust by destroying EIGHT MILLION JOBS:

CBO Director Douglas Elmendorf acknowledged Obama’s destruction of jobs:

That prompted this exchange between Rep. Tom McClintock, R-Calif., and the CBO director. “Let me ask you, are there more people working today or fewer people working today than at the — on inauguration day of 2009?” McClintock asked.

“I believe the answer to that,” said Elmendorf, “is there are fewer people, congressman.”

Here’s the bottom line of the Obama economy:

Even Ezra Klein states that if the same labor force participation rate applied from the Bush years, the actual Obama unemployment rate would be at 11 percent. James Pethokoukis of Reuters calculated it at 11.3 percent. And Tyler Durden using the most recent data calculates it at 11.4%.

It’s an economy for people who love living off the government tit while working Americans struggle more and more to deal with the consequences of staggering government debt.  It’s an economy for people who frankly despise America and believe it should be just one more mediocre country among all the other mediocre countries.

The real unemployment rate, according to Gallup, is over NINETEEN PERCENT.

Oh, and one other thing: after creating permanent unemployment over the Republicans’ repeated objection, Obama has created a permanently unemployed and unemployable “worker” who is now filing for disability to further weaken our collapsing Social Security system even as Obama used political demagoguery to seize another $100 billion from a system that is teatering on the verge of bankruptcy.

Obama’s only talent is blaming Bush and demonizing Republicans for everything that he’s been responsible for over the last three years and change.  We’re going down hard under this failed president’s “leadership”; and we deserve to fail until we refuse to tolerate him for one more day and force him out of office.
