Democrat Says ‘If you don’t tie our hands, we will keep stealing’ As His Party Imposes Health Care Ripoff

March 19, 2010

Democrat Rep. Tom Perriello – quite possibly accidentally – admits a truth that should outrage the American people even as his party sets the nation up for the biggest theft in seventy years.

The setting is this: Rep. Perriello is speaking about balancing the budget.  He then says that the same government which creates entitlement programs – like ObamaCare – will use those entitlements to literally steal from the American people.

“If you don’t tie our hands, we will keep stealing.”

Hot Air correctly expresses it this way:

This isn’t exactly shocking information. You can see it in the stimulus package, the omnibus bill, the new jobs bill, and of course, Obamacare. You can see it in the endless spending and spending and spending and spending currently going on in Washington by the looters who call themselves Democrats. They’re spending like there’s no tomorrow, and why should they care? They aren’t the ones who will have to shoulder the burden; our children and grandchildren will. It’s like the teenager who goes crazy with Daddy’s credit card because they know that someone else will have to pay for the bill.

The Democrats have labeled the tactic that they are using as “majoritarian absolute power” (Barack Obama), the “arrogance of power,” “a fundamental power grab” and “naked power grab” (Joe Biden), and – just so we understand what it is – “the arrogance of power” (Harry Reid).

Which is to say, we are talking about arrogant, power-hungry thieves with a hard-core addiction to spending who are dictatorially determined to keep spending and spending and stealing and stealing until they are stopped.

They are trying to sell one of the grandest lies in history: that they can create a trillion dollar spending program that will reduce the deficit.

“If you don’t tie our hands, we will keep stealing.”

For God’s sake, please tie their hands.
