Of the sons of Issachar, men who understood the times, with knowledge of what Israel should do, their chiefs were two hundred; and all their kinsmen were at their command — 1 Chronicles 12:32
Hollywood A-Lister Sean Penn was once notorious for his explosive temper but now his son, Hopper (pictured right), has apparently followed suit.
Well, somewhat.
The younger Penn is accused of resorting to vicious and racist name-calling after he got into an altercation with a random Black photographer who confronted the pair as they entered a medical building, reports TMZ.
The nasty encounter between the photographer (pictured) and the 19-year-old was captured on video. Hopper is seen pushing the unidentified man and this is followed by a face-to-face confrontation where the hot-headed teen is heard spewing the words, “F**k you, you’re a f**king fa**ot…shut up you fu**ing ni**er.”
During the raucous, police just happened to be in the vicinity and overheard what had transpired between Hopper and the photographer. When officers questioned the shutterbug about what had happened, he just sloughed off the argument and refused to press charges.
Yes, he did say that. On camera, no less. With his words being recorded. For the record, without the asterisks, Sean Penn’s apple that didn’t fall very far from the tree shouted, “You’re a fucking faggot. Shut up you fucking nigger!”
Now, of course, if it had been Sarah Palin’s kid, imagine the rabid-cockroach feeding frenzy the press would have had. You would have thought Sarah herself had been caught on tape mouthing those obscenities if it had been her kid who had said that. She would have been persona non grata. You know, the way the left already treats her.
Instead, it’s yawnsville. You know, much the same way that famous liberal actor and loud-mouthed punk Alex Baldwin “a rude little pig.” Which you’d think would be, you know, a WAR ON WOMEN.
Hell, you can even slaughter dogs after you’ve mangled them by forcing them to fight with other dogs as long as you belong to the “permanent ward of the liberal State” class. As Michael Vick did. Rush Limbaugh can’t become a part owner of an NFL team because he’s a Republican and Republicans are evil, but people who force dogs to fight to their deaths and then viciously slaughter the ones who aren’t vicious enough are peachy dandy as long as they’re black. The media falsifies stories to demonize the former while ignoring the truth to celebrate the latter. You can get caught red-handed committing adultery with whores in the scores, like Tiger Woods did. And Obama will still play golf with you during one of his countless vacations. Why not? Obama is pissing on marriage by replacing it with sodomy; so why not further piss on it by endorsing the crown prince of all adulterers???
No one is ever to be punished for their words or their behavior except Republicans, you see. Because Democrats despise actual morality and view the world through a rabid political prism that Stalin would have admired.
When I first saw Jim Carrey, I thought he was hilarious. But by the time I saw his third movie, I realized that he was purely one-dimensional. And if you’ve seen one of his films, you’ve pretty much seen his entire repertoire. Unlike, say, Charleton Heston – an actual ACTOR.
Greg Gutfeld of Fox News’ “The Five” has destroyed Carrey. He pointed out that Carrey attacked Heston because he didn’t think he could lose an argument with a dead man. But the funny thing is THAT HE DID LOSE AN ARGUMENT WITH A DEAD MAN. Because a dead Charleton Heston is worth a 16.7 trillion Jim Carreys (or however many trillions Obama’s national dead is at now).
The quintessential essence of the left is abject moral hypocrisy. If you are a Democrat, you are a hypocrite; if you are a liberal Democrat, you are a tyrannosaurus hypocrite on megasteroids. Whether it’s about racism or guns or taxes or any other damn thing under the sun of their fascism.
This is an amazing time when the truth is urinated upon while liars and their lies are beloved.
The day is coming when liberals are going to stand before a just and holy God and find out the hard way that morality is a real thing and that God will judge them according to His Word that they mock rather than their self-serving standard of political correctness.
That day will be so beautiful that it’s worth wading through all the liberal ugliness and filth to get to.
Update, 3/29/13: I wrote this piece to highlight the galling and appalling constant piss of liberal hypocrisy. I have Jim Carrey to thank for providing more documentation to prove my thesis. The whiny little turd just released a letter bitching about “vicious slander” from Fox News because this pathetic little turd believes that only HE should have the right to viciously slander people. He alludes to a lawsuit because this little creep knows that the man whose grave he literally danced on is dead and can’t sue him right back. Most amazing of all is his assertion that the clear majority of Americans that he mocks and slanders – as proven by the fact that even the majority of DEMOCRATS refuse to embrace his fascist position on guns as evidenced by Harry Reid’s tabling the so-called “assault weapons” ban – are “intolerant” even as this intolerant little creep demonizes them. What a pygmy little loser.
I came across an amazing piece of rubbish in the rubbish that is the Los Angeles Times. It is amazing how incredibly deceitful and deliberately disingenuous these propagandists are. But I’ll wait to respond until after you’ve read this pile of drivel from the “senior culture editor” of the LA Slimes:
Arnold Schwarzenegger’s recent decision to return as executive editor of Muscle & Fitness and Flex magazines makes one thing abundantly clear: The former bodybuilder, movie star and California governor can’t seem to grasp the simple fact that his era is over.
He tried to ride out the revelation that he had secretly fathered a child with his housekeeper by penning an autobiography that was long on self-aggrandizement and short on introspection. Then he ventured back to the big screen with “The Last Stand,” prompting critics to declare him too old, too odd-looking (who knew Austrians turned orange as they aged?) and too mired in scandal to resurrect his action hero career.
Now he plans to return to his bodybuilding roots because he just doesn’t get it: The He-Man is dead, and few mourn his passing.
While Schwarzenegger was governating, the cultural landscape changed. Women, led by Lara Croft, Buffy and Nikita, gained muscles and martial arts skills on the big screen and small, while men learned how to talk and even (gasp) intuit.
Dr. Gregory House and Don Draper became the objects of serial desire while the cinematic action hero morphed into Robert Downey Jr., more mind and mouth than muscle. James Bond still thrives, but it is Daniel Craig’s scarred, haunted and human Bond, weeping tears of salt, not vermouth. Sylvester Stallone tried to get back in the game too, and “Bullet to the Head” bombed even faster than “The Last Stand.”
It isn’t just anatomy, it’s attitude. Social, economic and environmental concerns have turned on the in-your-face consumer-machismo that Schwarzenegger and other big men made their signature. Bodybuilding, Hummers, the Cuban cigars, the triple Scotches, the wild nights and womanizing are no longer the accoutrement of A-list masculinity.
Nowadays, real men drive hybrids, extol super-foods and worry more about core muscles and resting heart rates than the size of their pecs. Smart is the new sexy, struggling the new strong, insecurity a form of seduction. It helps if you can sing.
The He-Man did not go quietly. Roused to fury by the feminist movement and the quiche-eating New Male, the He-Man took power in the 1980s, both politically and culturally — it’s no coincidence that Schwarzenegger’s film career launched during the Reagan years. Subsequently, he found sustenance in both the “Fast and Furious” video-game generation and the new political right.
But the rise of the woman warrior, both real and fictitious, the increasing acceptance of gay Americans with their richly diverse definitions of masculine and feminine, and a digitally led shift toward Steve Jobs-cerebral over blue-collar-physical forced the classic He-Man into a very real Last Stand.
It all but defined this past election. Mitt Romney, no one’s definition of a He-Man, was recast as Mr. Fix-It, a can-do guy with money-making smarts who might be good to have around the house. Meanwhile, some of his supporters seemed intent on taking up the machismo slack with a game of gender-political chicken.
Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Vista) convened a House panel on birth control that was all male. Rush Limbaugh called law student Sandra Fluke a “slut” because she thought insurance companies should cover birth control. Then-Rep. Todd Akin (R-Mo.) tried to argue that women could not get pregnant in cases of “legitimate rape” in last year’s GOP primary for a U.S. Senate seat. In the Indiana Senate race, Republican Richard Mourdock insisted that abortion not be allowed in cases of rape because such births are in fact a “gift from God.” (Both Akin and Mourdock lost their races.)
Coming from hard-line conservatives, none of these views were new or even surprising, but the response of bipartisan outrage certainly was. The gender gap has been a political reality for years, but during this past election many voters seemed intent on sending a message: “Knock it off, guys.” Smug and sexist just doesn’t fly even among conservative women.
So for another four years we have a president whose wife has better biceps than he does, a man more visually associated with a library than a ranch. In many ways, Barack Obama is the quintessential third-millennium alpha, the antithesis of such He-Man presidents as Ronald Reagan or Bill Clinton (who, after a life-saving diet of veganism and spousal deference, has also changed with the times).
Obama may be commander in chief of two wars and the man who brought down Osama bin Laden, but unlike most of his predecessors he is rarely seen handling a firearm (and then only shooting at clay targets). He does not yell; he has been known to sing.
Indeed, prompted by the Sandy Hook tragedy, one of the first big fights of his second term is against the National Rifle Assn., arguably the most powerful embodiment of Old Guard masculinity in the country. Certainly NRA Chief Executive Wayne LaPierre followed the He-Man script to the letter when he finally broke his silence after 20 children and six adults were slain by a lone gunman in a matter of minutes. The obvious solution, he said, happily stepping back into a time when men were men and women didn’t have the vote, was to arm all the teachers.
And it isn’t just an American phenomenon. All over the world, in countries where male authority is socially and politically institutionalized, the old models of masculinity are being reconsidered. The recent gang rape and killing of a female student in New Delhi sparked a national uproar that resulted in a government panel examining the widespread abuse of women in India and calling for an end to “a culture of masculinity, a cult of aggression.” In Pakistan, the shooting of 15-year-old Malala Yousafzai by members of the Taliban infuriated by her insistence that girls should receive an education caused international outrage.
Not even the pope, arguably the world’s most spiritual He-Man — head of the most famous patriarchy, defined by his position as infallible, speaking literally in edicts — is immune. Beset by scandal, including and especially the revelations that the Catholic Church has, for decades, ignored and covered up the rape and sexual abuse of children by pedophile priests, the now-former Pope Benedict XVI recently acknowledged that, beset by health issues and general frailty, he was no longer the man for the job and became the first pontiff in centuries to resign.
So out of style is the concept of He-Man masculinity that History, in publicizing its much-anticipated series “The Vikings,” is pushing not only the role of women (did you know they were allowed to own property and go into battle?) but intellectual curiosity. The lead character may be named for a famous Norse pirate, but he’s portrayed as just as interested in acquiring knowledge and technology as he is in slaughter and booty.
If Ragnar the Viking realizes the age of the He-Man is over, perhaps it’s time Arnold Schwarzenegger did too.
– Mary McNamara, Senior Culture Editor
What are her data points? What actual facts does she offer? Well, a couple of frankly elderly men tried to make movie comebacks which didn’t go so well. That, plus a load of lies such as all conservative he-men are pro-rapist, was her basis for declaring that real men are dead, and good riddance to them.
Mary McNamara says that the fact that 66-year-old Schwarzenegger and nearly 67-year-old Stallone can no longer play macho he-men in the movies somehow proves that “he-men” have been vanquished from culture. What does this idiot think; that if “he-men” were still viable, these two would be able to continue to flex their biceps on the big screen into their nineties???
That proposition is nearly – but not quite – as dishonest as her use of failed Republican Senate candidate Todd Akin and the revulsion of a gang rape in India as “evidence” that real conservative he-men are dead and gone. Did you know that conservative muscle men all supported gang rape? Because that was sure as hell news to me. Did you know that all conservative muscle men cheered when Todd Akin made his stupidly worded statement? Because damn it I sure didn’t. I also wasn’t aware that all muscular men everywhere think that all women should be denied an education the way McNamara assures me they do.
Just to point out a little thing called the truth, by the time Arnold Schwarzenegger left office in humiliation, he had long since been a pawn for pretty much ever arrow in the liberal quiver: global warming, ObamaCare, homosexuality and gay marriage, abortion and embryonic stem cell research. To frame “the Governator” as some kind of right winger is dishonest nonesense squared.
Let’s just call this Los Angeles Times piece what it is: infantile propaganda for stupid, ignorant, wicked minds.
It’s kind of interesting: I want you to notice that McNamara somehow utterly fails to mention the Navy SEAL Team that went in and killed Osama bin Laden. I mean, this woman even goes to Pakistan in her propaganda piece, but not to those masculine anachronisms otherwise known as the Navy SEALs. Because on her dishonest worldview, “he-men” Navy SEALS didn’t really do that job; girl-man Barack Hussein Obama did:
America doesn’t need real actual he-men when we’ve got a posturing coward in our White House.
Those “he-men” Navy SEALs are useless to liberalism. They’ve been killed off to make way for liberal heroes such as:
Lara Croft – like this anorexic woman is going to kick ass?
– but facts, truth and reality itself don’t matter. Liberalism urinates on these three things every single day. And for the record liberalism squats to pee on them. Because standing up for pretty much ANYTHING is beyond these fools.
Anyway, Rush Limbaugh has been predicting that liberals were killing off real men and replacing them with feminist girly men for YEARS now. And Mary McNamara’s biased piece of crap is actually all the proof you need to know that Limbaugh was right and McNamara is wrong.
I did point out that liberals and truth, facts and reality are like east and west with never the twain meeting.
Which is why I go back to the Navy SEALs – whom Mary McNamara thinks are dead and gone – as evidence that she is both a liar and a fool. Because, contrary to this idiot LA Times propagandists, these are men who frankly don’t care about making their abs look pretty. They actually stand for something; which is why they’ve got to go. After all, these are the guys who go into buildings when negotiations break down and there are people inside who need to be killed. You don’t get more “he-man” than that; which for the record is why actors like Schwarzenegger and Stallone pretend to be guys like this in their films.
McNamara for whom Hollywood is all the reality she will ever understand – cites Robert Downy Jr. as proof that real men and real man muscle are dead and gone. But it’s kind of funny that she somehow omitted somebody from her own damn Hollywood genre. Because apparently she’s never heard of “The Hulk.”
Does this look like a fellow who is “worrying more about core muscles and resting heart rates than the size of his pecs” to you???
I guess you’re right, Mary, you half-wit; clearly this guy was only focusing on his “core” rather than building those stupid muscles you believe are so offensive and useless.
Outside of the fake bubble that is Hollywood, I have memberships at two different gyms (World’s and Gold’s) because the considerably better equipped gym is also considerably farther away. And at both gyms what I see actual men doing is focusing so much on their chests and their arms that they are ignoring their legs. It is decidedly easier to work out one’s abs and legs than it is one’s chest and arms because the latter equipment is nearly constantly in use. This fool woman knows absolutely NOTHING about “he-men” or pretty much any other kind of man.
Of course, outside of Mary McNamara’s incredibly contrived examples was Vladimir Putin, who literally won reelection in Russia by taking off his shirt and showing us, yes, his “pecs.” I’m sure that former KGB thug would have a different view than our resident LA Times idiot.
Again, this woman is a dishonest, biased, liberal turd propagandist who is so selective in her “facts” and so deceitful in her conclusions that it is shocking even by the Los Angeles Times’ “standards.”
I hate lies, which is why I hate liberalism so much.
I don’t have a doubt that Limbaugh will be highlighting Mary McNamara’s gibberish in his radio program. Without trying to replace my opinions for his, I have a feeling that he’s going to be pointing out THE FACTthat he’s been saying over and over again for YEARSthat liberals viscerally despise strong men. Women can’t have powerful muscles, so men shouldn’t be allowed to have them either. And no decent man would ever try to build something that women can’t have every bit as much of, including muscles. Social justice requires pathetically weak men, albeit pathetically weak men with slim, trim waists.
That’s why we’re heading toward women being pushed into combat by a few feminists. Whether their FAR physically weaker women’s bodies can handle the stress of it or not. That’s simply a fact attested to by a Marine Corps captain (named Katie Petronio) who knows from personal and painful experience that it is a fact.
Again, facts don’t matter one freaking DAMN to these people. They are people who are determined to substitute a lie for the truth until their lie BECOMES the “truth.”
And that’s why we’re gutting our physical fitness standards for male military recruits. Because if men are stronger and have greater endurance than women, well, that doesn’t help the cause of liberalism. So strength must be weakened, and then weakened again and again and again until women can pass the same “standards.”
No woman on earth could be a Navy SEAL. Or a Delta Force operator. Or a Green Beret. Or an Army Ranger. Or a Marine Force Recon member. Or an Air Force Pararescue member. Etcetera. Etcetera. The requirements are simply too physically difficult for women because men and women aren’t the same. And the idea that a man is capable of being something – anything – that a woman can’t be is just anathema to these leftist turds for whom ideology must trump reality.
I watched a young Marine doing standing military presses with 245 lbs. Try that at home, girls. That would be almost as much fun as watching Angelina Jolie and Sarah Michelle Gellar shooting 12 gauge shotgun slugs.
Liberals are gutting strength. They are gutting honor. They are gutting courage. And most of all they are gutting the truth. And they are replacing these qualities – which Americans used to reverence in their real heroes and in the men like John Wayne who depicted those heroes on film – with the weak, limp-wristed feminist pseudo-men that liberals are baiting and switching us with on a pretty much daily basis with their Hollywood drivel even as they cite that selfsame drivel as some kind of proof.
When the real “he-men” are gone, we’re going to need them. And they won’t be there to help you. But if it helps you to feel better, just remember that Georgetown law school students will get free birth control off the sweat of people who won’t earn a twentieth what these entitlement whores will earn in their law careers.
Remember who killed our real men and rejoiced at their demise on the day that it results in ourown national demise.
Real men tell the truth and stand up courageously for what is right. Which is precisely why real liberals despise them so damn much and will continue to do everything they can do to discredit and destroy them until their propaganda war on reality succeeds.
Some Twitter users are speculating that the Aurora, Colo., shooter was inspired by comments made by Rush Limbaugh. The shooting occurred at a midnight premiere of the movie, “The Dark Knight Rises.” On Tuesday July 17, Limbaugh said on his radio show that the name of the villain in the movie is a thinly-veiled dig at Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney:
RUSH: Have you heard this new movie, the Batman movie, what is it, The Dark Knight Lights Up or whatever the name is. That’s right, Dark Knight Rises. Lights Up, same thing. Do you know the name of the villain in this movie? Bane. The villain in The Dark Knight Rises is named Bane, B-a-n-e. What is the name of the venture capital firm that Romney ran and around which there’s now this make-believe controversy? Bain. The movie has been in the works for a long time. The release date’s been known, summer 2012 for a long time. Do you think that it is accidental that the name of the really vicious fire breathing four eyed whatever it is villain in this movie is named Bane?
This summer’s much-anticipated Hollywood blockbuster, “The Dark Knight Rises,” is getting an unusual boost from Democrats and other foes of Mitt Romney who are eager to tie the Gotham crushing villain to the GOP presidential candidate. Their angle: the mask-wearing, “Venom” gas breathing bad guy has a name that sounds just like Romney’s former investment firm that President Obama has been blasting as a jobs killer.
“Bane” is the terrorist in the new movie who drives the caped crusader out of semi-retirement in the final Batman movie. Democrats, who believe they have Romney on the ropes over the president’s assault on his leadership at Bain Capital, said the comparisons are too rich to ignore.
“It has been observed that movies can reflect the national mood,” said Democratic advisor and former Clinton aide Christopher Lehane. “Whether it is spelled Bain and being put out by the Obama campaign or Bane and being out by Hollywood, the narratives are similar: a highly intelligent villain with offshore interests and a past both are seeking to cover up who had a powerful father and is set on pillaging society,” he added.
The left says that we need to take a day off from the political divide in honor of the Aurora tragedy – even as they drag politics into the tragedy in Aurora by turning the day into an “Let’s overturn the 2nd Amendment and ban guns” issue. It doesn’t seem to matter that the most violent cities in America are ALL liberal cities with the most stringent gun laws.
You’d think at some point they would finally get tired of being wrong. But nope; being wrong seems to energize them into even greater feats of being completely wrong.
There’s a guy out there attacking Rush Limbaugh as some kind of enemy of decency. While he’s being incredibly indecent in his attack, mind you. I have no doubt that he was desperately hoping that Rush Limbaugh would mention his name on air and give his meaningless existence some semblance of noteriety. But alas and alack, it appears that Rush Limbaugh is just too big to care.
I’m not, though, so I’ll take a shot at Limbaugh’s rejects.
I’ll just produce the article and then comment on what I’m reading:
Rush Limbaugh never fails to sicken me and his comments last week on our own local celebrity’s act of selflessness puts me at wit’s end.
While many readers who want to lump me in with the run-of-the-mill liberal journalist stereotype probably think I’m blowing off steam about Limbaugh’s overall conservatism, that is not the case at all.
The man is a complete idiot. Period.
In case you missed it, he stooped to an all-time low (quite possibly trumping even his illegal Viagra possession, pain killer addiction and entirely sexist attitude toward all women’s issues) in what he apparently saw as some insightful truth into the declining nature of the capitalist values he believes make the United States the end-all-and-be-all of human existence.
Specifically, he took the story of West Liberty-Salem long distance runner Meghan Vogel helping another runner cross the finish line and said the young athlete lacks the spirit of American competitiveness that makes our country strong.
What the dolt is missing about the true American spirit — and what Meghan demonstrated by pushing Arlington runner Arden McMath ahead of her in the state 3,200 meter track competition — is that life isn’t all about coming in first place in some athletic competition.
In fact, sometimes people do stop to help each other out.
Just the other day, I was walking to work and a man asked me for directions to the nearest gas station. Instead of blowing on by him so I could get to work and earn my cash — as Limbaugh wants all to believe is the only worthwhile pursuit in life — I took the time to point him in the right direction.
Recently, local businessman Robert Notestine spoke with me about giving a few bucks here and there to folks who are homeless or down on their luck.
These everyday acts of consideration for others may not equate to or garner the national attention of sacrificing a better placing in a state competition, or — as Limbaugh goes on to compare it to — Rory Sabbatini sacrificing the Memorial tournament so Tiger Woods can feel better about himself, but they do occur throughout our country on a daily basis.
As a matter of fact, if life were all about competition, Middle America probably wouldn’t exist at all.
We’d all be off running the rat race in New York or Los Angeles trying to be on top of the American dung hill Limbaugh and his ilk call home.
Quite frequently people ask me why I don’t aspire to work for a bigger newspaper, but I just don’t.
I was born right here in Bellefontaine. My family is here. People know me. And, honestly, I don’t know of any better place to ply my trade than right here in Logan County. And, trust me, I have ventured out.
So, according to the radio loud mouth, that’s just one more strike against me as a true American.
But in my opinion, it is the people of all the small communities who are not striving to be on top in Washington, the Big Apple or Hollywood that make America what it is.
And yes, we do frequently stop to help our neighbors or even complete strangers out, despite the fact that it may entail a sacrifice on our own part.
And this opinionated blowhard has the gall to say we’re the ones making America weak.
In my own opinion, the television and radio stations that feed us this endless stream of drivel from arrogant pundits like Limbaugh are much more to blame for the decline of America than the Meghan Vogels of this country.
Reuben Mees is an Examiner Satff Writer and vitriolic despiser of television-era punditry that serves no purpose in educating our society. He can be reached at rmees@examiner.org
Let’s stop and ponder the man’s title and compare it with his first sentence: “The decline of American decency.” And then “Rush Limbaugh never fails to sicken me.” If you have a big enough barf bucket to keep reading, a little later the liberal turd categorically states, “The man is a complete idiot. Period.” He points out that Rush Limbaugh is a “dolt.” Near the end of his piece he asserts, “We’d all be off running the rat race in New York or Los Angeles trying to be on top of the American dung hill Limbaugh and his ilk call home.” And our defender of American decency concludes by proclaiming that Rush Limbaugh is an “opinionated blowhard.” All of these things are examples of “decency” from our self-inaugurated defender of American decency.
I get confused: WHO ended American decency?
It doesn’t seem to matter how completely black that pot is, it just can’t stand the fact that the kettle over there might be black.
Reuben Mees, the fellow who is complaining about “American decency” declining, repeatedly personally attacks – in incredibly indecent manner, mind you – the most popular radio personality on the planet. And it never seems to ever once occur to him what an abject hypocrite he is. It’s perfectly fine for the protector of civility and decency to state that those who he disagrees with live “on top of a dung hill.”
When a liberal says something hateful, it can’t be hate by definition. When a conservative says, well, pretty much anything, it can’t be anything BUT hate by definition. This is precisely how the fascists and communists (leftist socialists both, by the way) reasoned in their various show trials.
Let’s either just pull out the knives and fight it out with no-holds barred, or stop the personal demonization. One or the other. But liberals won’t have it that way. These aren’t civil, “decent” people who are confronted with mean-spirited conservatives. Rather, these are people who personally and viciously attack conservatives on a daily, continuous basis while simultaneously just as daily and continuously whining about all the hate and intolerance. What they in fact demand is the right to be able to demonize the opposition into silence so that they and they alone have the right to demonize.
What is Mees’ evidence that Rush Limbaugh is an idiot who lives on a dung hill along with everyone else Mees disagrees with? Well, apparently Rush Limbaugh had issue with the pop-culture story of Meghan Vogel losing a race to help another runner cross the finish line.
Slam dunk case, I’m sure. Only a dung-hill dwelling idiot could possibly ever hold such a view. One day Mees’ fellow Nazis will surely line Limbaugh up against a wall and shoot him for that thoughtcrime.
I haven’t bothered to say anything about the Meghan Vogel story on this blog, but I will take the time now. Limbaugh has a very good point. Think of it this way: either that race was important or it wasn’t. If it was important, then Meghan Vogel owed it to herself, her teammates and her high school to run the best race she could and win if it was possible for her to do so. Particularly given the fact that such is the very point of having the race to begin with. If it was NOT important, then it was frankly meaningless for her to help another girl cross the finish line for a meaningless event. Why not just help her to the bleachers, instead (particularly AFTER crossing the finish line).
Let’s say that Meghan Vogel is in the Olympics and she does this. She could have won America the gold, but hell no; instead, she decides to ignore the entire purpose of the race (to see who wins and award the winner) and decides to make it about some kind of personal charity. She sacrifices America’s victory, but isn’t she nice?
Imagine LeBron James is inspired by Meghan Vogel. He’s got a clear path to the basket to win with a slam dunk and win the championship for his team, his fans and his city. But out of the corner of his eye he sees the defender behind him trip and fall. So instead of winning the title, Lebron James ubergraciously stops and helps the opposing player to his feet. And loses everything he was supposed to win.
But don’t you worry, sports fans. Because the Miami Heat fans and the organization will wildly cheer Lebron for his niceness. Who cares if that stupid trophy and championship banner are hoisted by the Oklahoma Thunder?
Nobody would dare say that maybe LeBron James should have stuck to sports and done his charity work off the court. Because cockroaches like Reuben Mees would come crawling out to denounce them.
On Mees’ liberal theology, nobody ought to win. EVERYBODY should be “winners.” And anyone who tries to excel in anything ought to be punished. It is only those socialist souls who crawl to the lowest common denominator and lose while helping others be better losers who ought to be celebrated. “Fairness” means that fast runners should hamstring themselves to be slower; beautiful people ought to pour acid on their own faces to be no more beautiful than the ugliest people around them; rich people ought to have their wealth seized so that it may be redistributed to everyone equally. Don’t you DARE try to be better, and most definitely don’t you dare try to be the best you can be. And so had Meghan Vogel decided, “I’m going to be the best! I’m going to run like hell and win this race for myself, for my teammates, for my high school, for my community!” THAT is what would have been inexcusable.
Liberty and independence ought to be sacrificed for some bizarre leftist notion of “social justice.”
Another issue to consider is that the girl Meghan helped cross the finish line might have had a serious medical problem. Imagine if she’d fallen down with a stroke or a heart attack. Out of misplaced compassion, Meghen could have literally contributed to the girl’s death.
For the record, these analogies are far, FAR closer to the Meghan Vogel example than the one that Reuben Mees provides. Mine is an apples-to-apples comparison; Mees literally charges that Rush Limbaugh is telling us to say go to hell to anybody on the street who asks you for directions. Which is to say that Mees bases his entire ad hominem on a non sequitur straw man. In seeing the sort of issues I describe above with the Meghan Vogel story, Rush Limbaugh is actually saying that anybody who helps anybody anywhere is interfering with his “rat race” vision of America that he (in Mees’ rodent mind) cherishes.
Would you like to hear about a real hero? Consider Stormy Rich, who stood up to a bunch of bullies to defend a mentally disabled girl on a bus – and got suspended for her noble behavior. I want you to carefully notice that Rush Limbaugh didn’t diminish Stormy Rich and say that we shouldn’t help people in real genuine need.
I am past fed up with vile hypocrites crawling out from under every rock on the left and spewing hate about us while at the same time decrying us for being spewers of hate. If you don’t like us responding to your hate, THEN STOP YOUR DAMN HATING! All conservatives like myself want is either a fair debate, or a fair fight. And as long as hypocrites like Reuben Means are screeching, we’ll never get either one.
P.P.S. I decided to link to articles I’ve written that come under this topic as a reference of leftwing hypocrisy and simply couldn’t stop myself. I used my search engine to pull out articles relating to “violence” and finally forcibly stopped myself at the year 2010. This is what we’re up against:
So there’s at least one journalist who got invited to the 68th annual Radio and Television Congressional Correspondents’ Dinner who wasn’t an abject hypocrite.
Greta Van Sustern is probably literally the ONLY one who has any integrity whatsoever, however:
Fox News host Greta Van Susteren announced this eveningthat she will be boycotting the 68th annual Radio and Television Congressional Correspondents’ Dinner over the selection of a comic to headline the dinner who has repeatedly attacked Sarah Palin using vile sexual terms.
Another pig….and a media association has hired the pig, Louis C.K., to be their headliner for the big media dinner? Really? I am not going. I refuse to go. Everyone in the media should join me in this boycott.
The headliner of this year’s Radio and Television Correspondents Dinner is “comedian” Louis C.K. Comedian? I don’t think so. Pig? yes.
He uses filthy language about women…..yes, the C word…and yes, even to describe a woman candidate for Vice President of the United States. It isn’t just Governor Palin he denigrates. He denigrates all women and looks to the crowd to laugh.
I refuse to show any support for this guy or for the Radio and Television Correspondents Association Dinner Committee who hired him. I think the organization that hired him is just as bad as he is. It is no secret that he denigrates women.
SNIP
Free Republic brought to prominence the matter of Louis CK hosting the dinner by keeping an original article on the dinnerpublished in Breaking News. The article was picked on Twitter and by several bloggers.
The article picked up on news about the dinner reported by Brent Bozell at Newsbusters. Bozell had mentioned the dinner earlier that day but had buried it in a column about the Rush Limbaugh-Sandra Fluke controversy.
Van Susteren is showing more courage than one would expect, as the 2012 chairman of the RTCA is a Fox D.C. colleague, John L. Wallace III.

It is astonishing: Sandra Fluke – who was too poor to afford birth control – has been jetting all over the country to be adoringly interviwed as a “victim of Rush Limbaugh’s bigotry” by the very same people who will be going to an event featuring a man who said garbage that was a THOUSAND TIMES WORSE about Sarah Palin than ANYTHING Rush Limbaugh ever said.
Barack Obama personally called Sandra Fluke – because the Armageddon that will occur when Iran gets the bomb is clearly not worth bothering with – after Rush Limbaugh mocked her as a “slut” because she demands that other people have to pay for her to have sex. But he is all to happy to support the million dollar donation of Bill Maher, who similarly called Sarah Palin a “cunt” and a “dumb twat.”
Instead of calling it the “Radio and Television Congressional Correspondents’ Dinner” let’s just call it what it is: “the Joseph Goebbels Media Meal.”
Liberals are the most dishonest hypocrites on the planet today.
It’s our biggest loser program. And the “winner” is…
CARBONITE!
Here’s the first half of the story, pointing out that it’s all right for Ed Schultz to call a conservative woman a slut, but Rush Limbaugh is evil for calling a liberal woman a slut:
The recent manufactured flap by the mainstream media had a new entrant recently. Carbonite, a company that provides online backup support and apparently hasn’t heard of DropBox, released a statement declaring the end of their sponsorship of the Rush Limbaugh Show following remarks by Rush in which he questioned the definition of the word “slut” as a result of recent testimony by feminist and world’s worst contraception shopper, Sandra Fluke.
No one with daughters the age of Sandra Fluke, and I have two, could possibly abide the insult and abuse heaped upon this courageous and well-intentioned young lady. Mr. Limbaugh, with his highly personal attacks on Miss Fluke, overstepped any reasonable bounds of decency. Even though Mr. Limbaugh has now issued an apology, we have nonetheless decided to withdraw our advertising from his show. We hope that our action, along with the other advertisers who have already withdrawn their ads, will ultimately contribute to a more civilized public discourse.
His contention that her decision to go on national television to talk about her sex life expenses is “courageous” aside, these are bold words from a man who clearly is attaching no ideology to the matter. Right? RIGHT? Well, that’s come into question by some. And by some I mean me.
You see, Carbonite is also the sponsor for a radio show you probably have not heard of, The Ed Schultz Show. Ed Schultz made a similar remark to Rush’s although his was less a question about the usage of the word (as it was for Rush) and more him just screaming that Laura Ingraham is a “right wing slut.”
But you know what they’re talking about? Like this right wing slut. What’s her name Laura Ingraham? Yeah, she’s a talk slut…
Now I wonder why Friend’s daughters don’t’ come to mind here? Could this be a publicity stunt? Could they just be dropping sponsorship of Rush in an effort to gain some exposure to help their company get new customers? Because let’s face it, they’ll get more exposure from dropping Rush then they’ll ever get from keeping Shultz. And they could probably use it given that companies like DropBox have moved forward into advanced cloud backups and access while Carbonite seems hopelessly invested in remaining in the year 2006, but I digress.
I asked them on twitter and on FaceBook why the difference in treatment and so far haven’t gotten a reply.
In the twitter verse, fellow non-Carbonite user Amish Dude pointed me to one possible reason.
What’s this you ask? Oh, that’s a donation to Barack Obama’s campaign courtesy of OpenSecrets.org.
It’s all starting to make sense now isn’t it? He doesn’t mind Schultz because he agrees with him.
Enjoy obscurity Mr. Friend. I’m sure the trade of 20 million listeners vs 2 million listeners will be looked at as a super duper decision at your next shareholders meeting.
So that was late last week (Saturday) after the markets closed. And then the markets opened and rewarded Carbonite for its heroic stand for its liberal ideology:
NEW YORK — A look at the 10 biggest percentage decliners on Nasdaq at 1 p.m.:

Carbonite won’t be seeing any business from me, either. There are better outfits that DON’T insult my values to do business with out there these days.
Historically it’s only been the left that punished people with boycotts, because liberalism is fascism and fascists like to punish their victims.
I think it’s high time we borrow as many pages from the left’s playbook as we need to “Do Unto Obama As Liberals Did Unto Bush” and start punishing the crony capitalist corporations that cravenly cave to Obama.
I obviously often disagree with Kirsten Powers’ liberal perceptions, but I take my hat off to this woman for one thing that makes her an incredibly rare jewel: she might be the only consistent liberal on the entire planet – particularly when it comes to feminism.
Rush Limbaugh apologized on Saturday for calling a Georgetown Law student a slut for testifying about contraception and starting a firestorm of outrage. Kirsten Powers says the liberals who led the charge need to start holding their own side accountable.
Did you know there is a war on women?
Yes, it’s true. Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann, Bill Maher, Matt Taibbi, and Ed Schultz have been waging it for years with their misogynist outbursts. There have been boycotts by people on the left who are outraged that these guys still have jobs. Oh, wait. Sorry, that never happened.
Boycotts are reserved for people on the right like Rush Limbaugh, who finally apologized Saturday for calling a 30-year-old Georgetown Law student, Sandra Fluke, a “slut” after she testified before congress about contraception. Limbaugh’s apology was likely extracted to stop the departure of any more advertisers, who were rightly under pressure from liberal groups outraged by the comments.
Let it be shouted from the rooftops that Rush Limbaugh should not have called Ms. Fluke a slut or, as he added later, a “prostitute” who should post her sex tapes. It’s unlikely that his apology will assuage the people on a warpath for his scalp, and after all, why should it? He spent days attacking a woman as a slut and prostitute and refused to relent. Now because he doesn’t want to lose advertisers, he apologizes. What’s in order is something more like groveling—and of course a phone call to Ms. Fluke—if you ask me.
But if Limbaugh’s actions demand a boycott—and they do—then what about the army of swine on the left?
During the 2008 election Ed Schultz said on his radio show that Sarah Palin set off a “bimbo alert.” He called Laura Ingraham a “right-wing slut.” (He later apologized.) He once even took to his blog to call yours truly a “bimbo” for the offense of quoting him accurately in a New York Post column.
Keith Olbermann has said that conservative commentator S.E. Cupp should have been aborted by her parents, apparently because he finds her having opinions offensive. He called Michelle Malkin a “mashed-up bag of meat with lipstick.” He found it newsworthy to discuss Carrie Prejean’s breasts on his MSNBC show. His solution for dealing with Hillary Clinton, who he thought should drop out of the presidential race, was to find “somebody who can take her into a room and only he comes out.” Olbermann now works for über-leftist and former Democratic vice president Al Gore at Current TV.
The grand pooh-bah of media misogyny is without a doubt Bill Maher.
Left-wing darling Matt Taibbi wrote on his blog in 2009, “When I read [Malkin’s] stuff, I imagine her narrating her text, book-on-tape style, with a big, hairy set of balls in her mouth.” In a Rolling Stone article about Secretary of State Clinton, he referred to her “flabby arms.” When feminist writer Erica Jong criticized him for it, he responded by referring to Jong as an “800-year old sex novelist.” (Jong is almost 70, which apparently makes her an irrelevant human being.) In Taibbi’s profile of Congresswoman and presidential candidate Michele Bachmann he labeled her “batshit crazy.” (Oh, those “crazy” women with their hormones and all.)
This notion as to how the left – particularly liberal women – just viciously tears down Sarah Palin like rabid dogs in spite of the fact that what she is at her core is just a strong, successful woman made me think of this exchange:
Kirsten Powers is an analyst for Fox News. She is a proven liberal. But it turns out she is no friend of the N.O.W.
During the 5 September 2008 broadcast of the Fox News program “Hannity and Colmes,” Kirsten Powers said this:
“It’s not the National Organization for Women, right? But it’s not. It’s really the National Organization for Liberal Women. It’s not the National Organization for Women, because she’s [Sarah Palin is] a woman. And they put out a statement saying, “Not all women speak for women. Sarah Palin doesn’t speak for women.” Well, look; this woman, when I look at her – even if I don’t support her, you know, a lot of her policies, she is the embodiment of what feminism was all about. She’s a mother, she’s successful, her husband helps with the children. You know, we should be exited about this, even if you don’t support her.”
Alan Colmes then said:
“If you support someone just because they’re a woman, and the National Organization for Women supports anybody whose a woman, then you’re saying we’re just supporting them because they’re a woman, and you’re not being discerning at all. So you can’t have it both ways.”
And Kirsten Powers responded:
“I would agree with that if they had any kind of actual moral authority, but they don’t, because they don’t ever support any women who don’t support their very narrow agenda. So they should just rename themselves and say what they’re really for, and stop pretending like they really care about the advancement for women.”
I believe it’s becoming clear that the convoluted “feminism” of the N.O.W. is in trouble. If it dies tough, successful, intelligent and independent women like Sarah Palin and Kirsten Powers will have been the ones that killed it.
I especially liked the part of this video where you have the speaker describing liberals accusing Sarah Palin of being “a retard” and then pointing out that if they really believed that, it should clearly engender a reaction of sympathy rather than hate piled on top of hate.
Kirsten Powers had a discussion with Megyn Kelly in which she pointed out that none other than the perpetually outraged feminist Gloria Alread actually went on Bill Maher’s program and failed to denounce him for his vicious attacks on women such as Sarah Palin (e.g., calling her a “cunt” on air). And Powers stated that it had nothing to do with any actual moral outrage, but was merely naked and hypocritical political opportunism on the part of the left every single time they play this game.
And Kirsten Powers is a truly consistent liberal feminist who is sick of the liberal game. And I applaud her courage and her virtue.
As an example of a liberal shill shrilly denouncing the other side for its “war on women,” DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz came out to take advantage of the poop Rush Limbaugh stepped in to demonize Mitt Romney. What the hell did Romney have to do with any of this? Nothing. But Schultz doesn’t give a damn.
My first comment by way of referencing the below story is that Rush Limbaugh did NOT call Sandra Fluke a “slut” for “her views on contraception.” He called her a slut because, according to her own testimony, she and all the women she was speaking for were having sex three times a day every single day, according to her “$3,000” example. And whether you like it or not, if Sandra Fluke was getting mounted three times a day every single day by myriad boys, she most definitely qualifies for the technical descriptive term “slut.”
You can argue that Rush Limbaugh was actually respecting Sandra Fluke. Based on her testimony and the numbers she provided, she is either an abject slut or a pathological liar. And he assumed that she wasn’t a pathological liar.
Well, anyway, Barack Obama, the community-agitator-in-chief, decided to invoke the full weight of the presidency of the United States in this crisis. Because if he’s spending his time on this issue, he can keep procrastinating dealing with the only slightly less important crisis of Iran on the verge of nuclear weapons and the whole Armageddon thing:
Rush Limbaugh condemned by Barack Obama for ‘slut’ remarks Georgetown student Sandra Fluke was called a ‘slut’ and a ‘prostitute’ by Limbaugh because of her views on contraception
Ryan Devereaux
guardian.co.uk, Friday 2 March 2012 15.46 EST
President Barack Obama has offered his support to a US law student called a “slut” on Wednesday by rightwing talkshow host Rush Limbaugh because of her views on contraception.
According to White House spokesman Jay Carney, the president called Georgetown University student Sandra Fluke on Friday and expressed his disappointment that she was the target of Limbaugh’s personal attacks. Obama reportedly thanked Fluke for supporting his administration’s policy of requiring health insurance coverage of contraceptives for women.
The call came moments before Fluke was set to appear on the TV news network MSNBC. Speaking to host Andrea Mitchell about the president’s call, Fluke said: “What was really personal for me was [that] he said to tell my parents that they should be proud.”
Limbaugh called Fluke a “slut” and a “prostitute” on Wednesday after she expressed her support for the administration’s policy in an informal testimony on Capitol Hill.
Then, on Thursday, on his nationally syndicated radio show, he added: “So, Miss Fluke, if we are going to … pay for you to have sex, we want something for it. We want you to post the videos online so we can all watch.”
Limbaugh’s outburst has already prompted some advertisers to pull their support for his controversial show. Following heavy pressure from the Democrats, House speaker John Boehner described Limbaugh’s comments as “inappropriate”. Boehner argued, however, that the Democrats were using the incident as an opportunity to raise money.
On Friday, Boehner’s spokesman, Michael Steel, echoed the concerns, saying: “The speaker obviously believes the use of those words was inappropriate, as is trying to raise money off the situation.”
At last month’s hearing, Fluke pointed out that her fellow Georgetown students pay as much as $1,000 a year for contraceptives that are not covered by student health plans.
On his show on Wednesday, Limbaugh equated the payment to prostitution.
“What does that make her? It makes her a slut, right? It makes her a prostitute,” he said.
“She wants to be paid to have sex … She’s having so much sex she can’t afford contraception,” Limbaugh added.
Georgetown – itself a Jesuit school – has, along with a number of other Catholic institutions, denounced the Obama administration’s contraception policy as an infringement on their religious rights.
Rather than apologize, Limbaugh has stood by his inflammatory rhetoric. On his Thursday show, he referred to a controversial joke made by Rick Santorum’s wealthy backer, Foster Friess, suggesting women should hold aspirin tablets between their knees in order to remain abstinent.
“I will buy all of the women at Georgetown University as much aspirin to put between their knees as they want,” Limbaugh said.
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is gathering signatures for an online petition calling on Republican leaders to “denounce Rush Limbaugh’s cruel tirade against women”.
Fluke responded to Limbaugh in a written statement, saying: “No woman deserves to be disrespected in this manner. This language is an attack on all women, and has been used throughout history to silence our voices.”
Barack Obama’s outrage is purely hypocritical and purely ideological. That is simply a documented fact.
Well, something seems to be worth remembering about all of these self-righteous liberals as we contemplate the horror of Rush Limbaugh calling a woman who spends $1,000 a year on her out-of-control sexual addiction; it wasn’t all that terribly long ago that David Letterman called Sarah Palin a slut. And somehow that outraged telephone call from Barack Obama never came:
The Liberal media purveyors of Political Correctness and moral judges of what is it acceptable to say, and what is not acceptable say. This normally translates in to say anything you want about a right wing person, but, and this is a very big but, say anything against a Liberal Left person and you are immediately guilty of a range adjectives ending in “ist”.
As with any left wing agenda, be it AGW, Political Correctness, immigration et al, there is always rank and blatant hypocrisy from those that seek to convince us they know better.
The left has long championed the cause of women to be treated as equals and not pieces of meat, yet the very first to indulge in sexually demeaning and degrading slurs on female politicians are the very same left, that claim to champion their cause.
David Letterman sinks to a new low, even for an East Coast liberal broadcaster when he suggests that “Sarah Palin should update her slutty air stewardess look“
And the point of making such a remark politically, or for any other reason is?
In Aardvarks experience “slut” is a term used by the micro dicked to deal with rejection #justsaying
I hope Sarah Palin isn’t waiting by the phone for the president to call, thinking it’s the least he could do to NOT show what a hypocrite ideologue divider he is. Because Obama is very much all of those things, and there won’t be a call coming.
I don’t know. It is still theoretically possible that the left will have a self-righteous outraged hissy fit about something they didn’t already do first to a conservative. Highly unlikely, I know. But you have to admit it is theoretically possible by the sheer statistical probabilities involving random chance that it could happen.
Which is to say that $3,000 birth control is just another demonic lie from the demonic left. Liberals like Sandra Fluke and Nancy Pelosi who brought this liar in to falsely testify have no honesty or integrity and they simply lie like the hell they are going to to manipulate stupid people.
Further, since Sandra Fluke is trying to force universities – and in particular THE PRIVATE CATHOLIC UNIVERSITY THAT SHE CHOSE TO GO TO – to provide birth control, let’s point out the fact that Georgetown law school costs $23,432.50 PER SEMESTER. NOT COUNTING TEXTBOOKS, fwiw. Forty seven thousand dollars a year is no problem for this “slut,” but that $108 she has to spend on birth control for her own private business is just busting her tiny little balls.
Bottom line: if Sandra Fluke wants to slut around and live in a universe of outright lies, the very least she can do is go to one of the many leftist public colleges that love that garbage.
What’s most fascinating is how often liberals lie out of every orifice in their bodies and conservatives still end up being the ones who have to apologize.
Fluke, who was portrayed as a 23 year-old co-ed, is actually 30 years old and by her own admission chose to attend Georgetown precisely so she could battle their insurance policy since it does not cover contraceptives. What a handy witness she turned out to be last week on behalf of Obama’s contraception mandate. So important was she to Obama’s theater show that he personally called her to apologize for things Rush Limbaugh said on his program concerning her testimony.
Fluke testified that she and her classmates have to spend $3,000 during their time at Georgetown on contraception, and it’s simply an unbearable financial burden for them. If they paid top-dollar for birth control pills, that would be about $600 a year; $1,800 for three years. A box of condoms ranges from about $4.00 to $15.00. That’s maybe another $100 a year, but still nowhere close to $3,000.
Show me the video of Rush Limbaugh calling Hillary Clinton a “dumb twat” and the National Organization for Women having nothing to say about it, and you might have a case. Otherwise, if you are a liberal, and you aren’t hanging your head in abject shame, you are just too morally stupid and hypocritical to bother arguing with.
It takes a really weak, insecure, and spineless man to attack a woman on television. It takes an even weaker “feminist” movement to play down such attacks.
In a recent episode of “Somebody, Please Notice Me,” also known as “Real Time with Bill Maher” on HBO, the show’s host may have hit rock bottom with his latest rhetorical bomb by referring to Sarah Palin with a vulgarity exceedingly offensive to women. Far more noticeable, and certainly more noteworthy, was the backhanded “defense”of Palin from radical feminists and their clearly misnamed organizations.
Several weeks ago, MSNBC’s Chris Matthews attacked Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) with another derogatory slur in reference to a harmless geographical gaffe she made about American history. Only crickets from the radical feminists. (A few weeks later Matthews found himself geographically-challenged when he said the Panama Canal was in Egypt.)
So what gives with these attacks and the 800-pound double standard in the room?
Suppose Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity did drop a vulgarity on Hillary Clinton or Nancy Pelosi? Despite her protestations a rapid, robust response from Ms. Bennett, NOW and the feminist Left would’ve taken all of 30 seconds, give or take a few. Broadcast news shows would be leading with the story and the reaction, repeated calls for apologies, and firings would ensue. Left-wing groups would harass advertisers in an attempt to get them to pull their sponsorships.
All women, regardless of their political persuasions need to speak out against these kinds of attacks because they harm everyone who is female from age 2 – 92, but the prevailing view among radical feminists seems to be that conservative women either don’t exist or are merely female impersonators. They don’t deserve to be defended when attacked because, after all, real women don’t hold conservative views.
So if you’re a woman leader with conservative positions on the issues, and you’re active in your church and speak out about matters of faith, and you get demeaned, demonized, slurred, or smeared, the radical feminist attitude toward you is, “You get what you deserve, because we, frankly, have the same opinion of you.”
Already teetering on the precipice of irrelevance, radical feminists only further undercut their credibility and authority to speak out on behalf of women when they stay silent in the face of such unacceptable behavior. They have become as clueless and delusional as the men they challenged and mocked 40 years ago.
The collapse of radical feminism was first revealed in the movement’s turning a blind eye toward Bill Clinton’s philandering and clear objectification of women. A conservative president who behaved like Clinton would have been publicly filleted, but instead, the leaders of the “women’s movement” gave him a wink and a nod.
In one of radical feminism’s lowest moments (and there are many), former Time magazine White House correspondent Nina Burleigh appointed herself the official Clinton apologist when she infamously told Mirabella magazine: “I’d be happy to give him [oral sex] just to thank him for keeping abortion legal.”
From embracing Bill Clinton to ignoring Bill Maher, radical feminists have reduced themselves to pitiful insignificance. New women have emerged as leaders, and many more will follow, and they reject the radical feminist orthodoxy with its hypocrisies and double-standards.
The movement’s leaders will have only themselves to blame. Women achieved substantial, needed gains several generations ago. Unfortunately, too many radical feminists are stuck in 1971, where they are destined to remain.
Penny Young Nance is CEO of Concerned Women for America, the nation’s largest public policy women’s organization.
Liberalism has now officially become the ideology of dumb twats, while liberal women who hypocritically claim to stand up for women do nothing.
