Another Failed Stimulus? What’s The Difference Between ‘Shovel-Ready Projects’ And ‘Construction Workers Ready To Get Dirty’???

September 7, 2011

Obama is previewing his “jobs speech” which he’ll be giving on Thursday, and it’s basically deja vu all over again.

Obama said Monday:

“On Thursday, we’re going to lay out a new way forward on jobs to grow the economy and put more Americans back to work right now. I don’t want to give everything away right here, because I want you all to tune in on Thursday, but I’ll give you just a little bit.”

We’ve got roads and bridges across this country that need rebuilding. We’ve got private companies with the equipment and the manpower to do the building. We’ve got more than 1 million unemployed construction workers ready to get dirty right now. There is work to be done and there are workers ready to do it. Labor is on board. Business is on board. We just need Congress to get on board. Let’s put America back to work.”

Let’s see: Obama’s $862 billion – actually $3.27 TRILLION – pork-laden boondoggle wasn’t big enough the first time. The stimulus totally failed. But if at first you fail, why then fail, fail again. And why not spend America into its grave failing while you’re at it?

“Ready to get dirty right now.” What does that remind me of?

Oh, that’s right. Watch this video to find out:

“Ready to get dirty right now” is just another damn way of saying “shovel-ready projects.”

What was it Obama said? You know, after selling the first massive stimulus as being one huge “shovel-ready jobs” package???

“Shovel-ready was not as … uh .. shovel-ready as we expected.”

But what the hell. Let’s waste another few billion tons of money. Let’s make sure we dig our way into a hole that will guarantee out complete economic collapse.

Please don’t be stupid.  It’s being leaked that Obama is going to propose another $300 billion for the same crap that conservatives RIGHTLY predicted would fail the last time when it was three times bigger.  It’s not going to work.  It’s going to fail for the same reasons the stimulus failed so abysmally before.

Back on October 20, 2008, I wrote the following, quoting CEO Magazine:

People are most concerned about jobs right now; maybe they should stop listening to mainstream media ideologues and start listening to the people who actually create jobs:

Chief Executive Magazine’s most recent polling of 751 CEOs shows that GOP presidential candidate John McCain is the preferred choice for CEOs. According to the poll, which is featured on the cover of Chief Executive’s most recent issue, by a four-to-one margin, CEOs support Senator John McCain over Senator Barack Obama. Moreover, 74 percent of the executives say they fear that an Obama presidency would be disastrous for the country.

“The stakes for this presidential election are higher than they’ve ever been in recent memory,” said Edward M. Kopko, CEO and Publisher of Chief Executive magazine. “We’ve been experiencing consecutive job losses for nine months now. There’s no doubt that reviving the job market will be a top priority for the incoming president. And job creating CEOs repeatedly tell us that McCain’s policies are far more conducive to a more positive employment environment than Obama’s.”

Disastrous for the country.” That doesn’t sound good. And that’s about as optimistic as the CEO’s get about Barack Obama:

“I’m not terribly excited about McCain being president, but I’m sure that Obama, if elected, will have a negative impact on business and the economy,” said one CEO voicing his lack of enthusiasm for either candidate, but particularly Obama.

In expressing their rejection of Senator Obama, some CEOs who responded to the survey went as far as to say that “some of his programs would bankrupt the country within three years, if implemented.” In fact, the poll highlights that Obama’s tax policies, which scored the lowest grade in the poll, are particularly unpopular among CEOs.

Bankrupt the country within three years.” There. You want socialism, you can have it. “Spread the wealth around” so that country itself is as broke as the defaulting homeowners and the defaulting mortgage houses we keep hearing about.

How can you people not see that these professional job creators were RIGHT?!?!?  These CEOs KNEW what they were talking about; how much more obvious can it get that Obama DOESN’T?!?!?

Please vote this disgrace out of office before it’s too late for America to recover.

‘Sometimes you can’t defend the indefensible,’ Says Obama’s OWN Chief Of Staff Of Obama’s Policies

June 18, 2011

Allow me to point out as a preamble that Obama appointed William Daley after the total asskicking Democrats got in November 2010 in a move to reach out to the business community he had repeatedly attacked and demonized.  And now this same guy is forced to say, “Don’t ask me to defend my moron boss’ idiotic economy-murdering policies.”

It’s time for anotherwe TOLD you so alert“:

Daley can’t defend Obama’s ‘indefensible’ economic policies
Published: 1:21 PM 06/17/2011 | Updated: 12:01 AM 06/18/2011

White House Chief of Staff Bill Daley took heat from business executives Thursday for the Obama administration’s regulatory expansions. Daley also said he didn’t have any good answers for some of what President Obama is doing and expressed frustration about the “bureaucratic stuff that’s hard to defend.”

“Sometimes you can’t defend the indefensible,” Daley said at a National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) meeting.

Daley couldn’t answer basic questions and continually faced criticism from the executives in the room. The business leaders even applauded each other’s criticism of the administration. “At one point, the room erupted in applause when Massachusetts utility executive Doug Starrett, his voice shaking with emotion, accused the administration of blocking construction on one of his facilities to protect fish, saying government ‘throws sand into the gears of progress,’” wrote Peter Wallsten and Jia Lynn Yang in the Washington Post.

Americans for Limited Government Communications Director and former Labor Department Public Affairs Chief of Staff Rick Manning told The Daily Caller that Daley’s inability to defend Obama’s regulations is an indication that the administration’s plans aren’t working. Manning also points out that Daley’s meeting may have large political implications.

“Business community to William Daley, your Jedi tricks don’t work on us,” Manning said in an email. “The chickens are coming home to roost from the wholesale assault by Obama on the free enterprise system and the private job creators who make it run. The meeting itself is incredible in that it demonstrates just how vulnerable Obama feels in 2012.”

The Workforce Fairness Institute’s Fred Wszolek told The Daily Caller that Daley’s lackluster performance is even more questionable when comes to the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) and its campaign against the Boeing Company. The NLRB has gone after the Boeing Company for opening a new plant in South Carolina. Boeing’s new plant is an addition to its already-existing production lines in Washington state. The NLRB’s case hinges on whether Boeing made the decision to open the new plant as “retaliation” against machinist unions in Washington, even though no jobs were lost there. In fact, Boeing has added thousands of new jobs in Washington.

As a former Boeing board member before taking on his White House job, Daley voted in favor of opening the new South Carolina plant. Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham has challenged Daley to come out and defend his vote in the face of the NLRB’s case, but he hasn’t yet done so.

“Bill Daley is White House chief of staff in an administration that is accusing a company where he served on the board of violating Federal labor law,” Wszolek said in an email. “The individual who launched the complaint against the Boeing Company was appointed to the post by President Obama and is currently a nominee. Now, to top it all off, Daley states he cannot defend the ‘indefensible’ conduct of his own administration, which presumably speaks to the Boeing matter.”

Wszolek questions Daley’s ability to continue “ethically” serving the president.

“All of this leads to one question: how can Daley serve in an administration that he cannot defend and believes his actions were unethical?,” Wszolek said.

It’s not just Obama’s Chief of Staff that is out there saying Obama is a total fraud and an abject failure: LISTEN TO OBAMA HIMSELF:

Versus:

Shovel-ready was not as shovel-ready as we expected,” Obama said.

We spent $3.27 TRILLION that we didn’t have ON AN IDIOT FOOL’S LIE!!!  And now it’s supposed to be some kind of joke!?!?!?

This man is an abject disgrace.  He is everything I expected from God Damn America.  There is no longer any question that God has set His face against America because it elected an evil demonic fool and will not drive him out of office in disgrace.

“Government throws sand into the gears of progress.”  There’s your basic truth about reality that no Marxist Democrat will ever understand.

U.S. Housing Is Now WORSE Than Great Depression (Thanks Barry Hussein!)

June 15, 2011

Here’s Obama’s constant and constantly false narrative.  Things are bad, but Barry Hussein has made then better.

I mean, thank God we don’t have that miserable 7.6% unemployment Bush left office with; due to Obama’s messianic leadership, unemployment has improved to 9.1%.

Unemployment with Obama’s “stimulus” boondoggle is actually HIGHER than the Obama White House said it would be WITHOUT the stimulus – and on top of the fact that his stimulus actually HURT employment, we still have to pay back that $3.27 TRILLION in debt that Obama saddled America with.

Obama constantly boasted about the “shovel-ready jobs” he created.  He is a liar by his own acknowledgment now.  The other day he heard someone bitterly complain about all the terrible regulations he created and how they stopped any meaningful recovery dead in its tracks [note: remember how Democrats deceitfully blamed all the problems on Republicans’ DEREGULATING], and Obama responded with a joke, dismissively saying, “Shovel-ready was not as shovel-ready as we expected.”

That’s RIGHT, you lying weasel!!!  And Republicans were only telling you this three years ago while you lied and lied and then lied some more every single day.

But that aint nothin’ compared to the havoc Obama has wreaked with his “wreckovery.”

Just yesterday I explained at length how Democrats and Obama were FAR MORE RESPONSIBLE for our housing crisis than Bush or the Republicans.

In brief, it was DEMOCRATS who created Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.  It was DEMOCRATS who forced banks to make risky loans under the guise of opening up home ownership to those who could not qualify for traditional (i.e. safe and sane) mortgages.  It was DEMOCRATS who pushed Fannie and Freddie into the incredible risky subprime loan market.  It was DEMOCRATS who were at the very epicenter of subprime loans to even BEGIN WITH.  It was DEMOCRATS who allowed Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to bundle huge blocks of these subprime loans together such that investors had no possible means of knowing how safe these mortgage backed securities (that ONLY Fannie and Freddie could sell) were and how much bad debt was in them.  It was DEMOCRATS who fiercely resisted all Republican efforts to reform Fannie and Freddie.  It was DEMOCRATS who falsely assured the American people that Fannie and Freddie were safe while Republicans correctly predicted these massive behemoths would lead us into a disaster.  It was DEMOCRATS who turned Fannie and Freddie into such a massive behemoth that it controlled more than half of the entire mortgage industry (to big to fail alert).  It was DEMOCRATS at the helm of Fannie and Freddie who doctored financial reports and benefited personally to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars in bogus bonuses and fees.  And it was DEMOCRATS like Barack Obama who received more campaign money in a shorter period of time from Fannie and Freddie (not to mention corrupt crony capitalist private firms like Lehman Bros.) than ANYONE.  And ALL the top scumbags who benefitted personally from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac money were ALL DEMOCRATS.

Fannie and Freddie went down – just like Republicans said would happen and just like Democrats promised us would NOT happen – and then the very people who created the mess and benefited from the mess turned around and demonized the people who tried to prevent the mess.

It was DEMOCRATS who created the housing crisis.  And it is under DEMOCRAT leadership that this crisis is so bad that it is even WORSE than the Great Depression:

US Housing Crisis Is Now Worse Than Great Depression
Published: Tuesday, 14 Jun 2011 | 12:04 PM ET
By: Jeff Cox
CNBC.com Staff Writer

It’s official: The housing crisis that began in 2006 and has recently entered a double dip is now worse than the Great Depression.

Prices have fallen some 33 percent since the market began its collapse, greater than the 31 percent fall that began in the late 1920s and culminated in the early 1930s, according to Case-Shiller data.

The news comes as the Federal Reserve considers whether the economy has regained enough strength to stand on its own and as unemployment remains at a still-elevated 9.1 percent, throwing into question whether the recovery is real.

“The sharp fall in house prices in the first quarter provided further confirmation that this housing crash has been larger and faster than the one during the Great Depression,” Paul Dales, senior economist at Capital Economics in Toronto, wrote in research for clients.

According to Case-Shiller, which provides the most closely followed housing industry data, prices dropped 1.9 percent in the first quarter, a move that the firm interpreted as a clear double dip in prices.

Moreover, Dales said prices likely have not completed their downturn.

“The only comfort is that the latest monthly data show that towards the end of the first quarter prices started to fall at a more modest rate,” he said. “Nonetheless, prices are likely to fall by a further 3 percent this year, resulting in a 5 percent drop over the year as a whole.”

Prices continue to tumble despite affordability, which by most conventional metrics is near historic highs.

The rate for a 30-year conventional mortgage is around 4.5 percent, just above the historic low of 4.2 percent in October 2010. The ratio measuring mortgage costs to renting is 7 percent below its norm, while the price-to-income ratio is 23 percent below its average, Dale said.

Yet other factors are constraining the market.

After the fallout from the subprime debacle, in which millions lost their homes when they defaulted on loans they could not afford, banks changed underwriting standards.

More than four in every five mortgages now require a down payment of 20 percent, and credit history standards have tightened. At the same time, foreclosures continue at a brisk pace, pushing more supply onto the market and pressuring prices downward.

Then there is the issue of underwater homeowners—those who owe more than their house is worth—representing another 23 percent of homeowners who cannot leave or are in danger of mortgage default.

Indeed, the foreclosure problem is unlikely to get any better with 4.5 million households either three payments late or in foreclosure proceedings. The historical average is 1 million, according to Dales’ research.

The only bright spot Dales found, aside from the slowing in price drop in March, was some isolated strength in states such as Nevada, Michigan, South Dakota, Alaska and Iowa.

The thing that was nearly COMPLETELY created by Democrats in the first place is now worse than at ANY time in the Bush administration, and in fact so bad under Obama’s watch that it is actually worse than it was even in the Great Depression.

But Obama has made it better.

You have got to be absolutely demonic to believe that.

Obama has failed.  He has utterly and completely failed.  He is the embodiement of God damn America, and God will continue to damn America until this wicked fool is removed from the White House.
