June Jobs Report: Disgraceful Job Numbers For A Completely Failed President

July 6, 2012

80,000 jobs.  Do you know how pathetic that is?  We need an absolute minimum of 125,000 jobs a month (in light of our 313 million citizens it’s more like 200,000) just to begin to keep up with population growth.  And when you consider Obama’s godawful labor participation rate and the number of working-age Americans who have just been cast out during the cancer of this presidency, it is an abject disgrace.

But here’s the thing: you listen to Obama campaign and you’d think the last four years didn’t happen.  He’s mouthing the same garbage that he was blathering when he was running for president in 2008.  Nothing bad has happened (“the private sector’s doing fine”) or it’s anybody and anything else’s fault but the man who sits behind “the buck stops here” desk in the Oval Office.

Barack Obama is the most narcissistic, the most ignorant, the most naive and the most demagogic president America has ever seen.  Bar none.

Obama told us that the answer to the bad economy was a government takeover of the private economy via his stimulus.  He took office when unemployment was 7.6 percent.  If his stimulus passed, he promised, unemployment would never get to 8 percent – and in fact by this time (July 2012) unemployment would be 5.5 percent.  History proves that Obama was completely wrong and has absolutely no idea whatsoever how to get an economy moving.  All he can do is count on people to believe the same lies he’s been making for years and idiotic things.

One of the idiotic things you’ve got to believe is a flip side of Obama’s “I’m the president who got bin Laden” argument.  On this view, had George Bush had another term or even two more terms, he never would have been able to get bin Laden.  And of course Bush couldn’t have got bin Laden because he’s not Obama, and only Obama could have ever got bin Laden.  It doesn’t matter if the military loved Bush far more than Obama, or that the esprit of the CIA was far, FAR higher under Bush; only Obama could possibly have got bin Laden.  End of discussion.  It wasn’t just a matter of time as Bush said it would be; it was Obama personally nailing bin Laden with his sheer magnificent wonderfulness.

If you apply this same mindset to Bush and the economy, we had a terrible economic hit (actually caused by liberals who recklessly ran Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac into the ground, but that’s another story) and as Bush left office we were lost 700,000 jobs in just one month.  And the religious doctrine that all Democrats must believe as an article of their faith in messiah Obama is that if Bush were still president today, we would have continued to lose 700,000 jobs every single month and unemployment would be 30 percent today.  And of course Obama’s otherwise godawful performance now looks GREAT if you consider the 30 percent unemployment that we would of course had had under George Bush.  Never mind facts like no recession has ever lasted forever; and never mind that there have only been TWO times when America didn’t come roaring back from a bad recession and both occurred under socialist presidents (Obama and FDR).  The average recession lasts 11 months.  And historically we get very strong recoveries out of recessions.  But if Bush were still president it would have lasted forever and ever and ever.  And only messiah Obama can possibly deliver us.  Because Mitt Romney is the devil.  And do you want a rich, evil, vulture capitalist vampire monster to be your president when you could have more Obama instead???  Hint: if you say “yes” you’re clearly a racist.

So we listen to Democrats demonize “the failed Republican policies” that got us into this terrible mess and we believe their narrative that of course Obama must never be blamed for anything negative but must be given total credit for anything positive.  We are taught to not remember that George W. Bush – who himself inherited a terrible recession with the DotCom bubble burst that happened on Clinton’s watch and which wiped out $7.1 trillion in American wealth – ended his presidency with a 5.26 percent overall unemployment rate.

5.26 percent.  That’s not bad for a president who inherited the DotCom bubble collapse which vaporized $7.1 trillion in American wealth and annihilated 78% of the Nasdaq Exchange valuation before we here hit on 9/11 due to Bill Clinton’s gutting the military and intelligence budgets while he emboldened Osama bin Laden into believing that America was a paper tiger.

If we extrapolate pure liberal demagoguery and simply utterly refuse to consider history, then Obama is the answer.  Otherwise this pathetic president truly and profoundly sucks.

So let’s let the messiah who has an average unemployment rate of 9.16 percent through June 2012 assure us that the president who had a 5.26% unemployment rate was terrible for jobs.  And we’ll believe him because this is God damn America and God damn America is under a spirit of delusion.

Yesterday (July 5) I had CNBC’s Larry Kudlow program on, and Kudlow had two economists representing a liberal (Dean Baker) and conservative (David Goldman) perspective.  Baker had an optimistic view, believing that the Labor Department release today would show that we created a lousy but-comparatively great 165,000 jobs in June; Goldman believed the report would be even worse than the economists’ consensus view of 125,000 jobs and we’d get only 100,000 jobs.  To make it even more interesting and show just how LOUSY liberals and liberalism are, Baker demagogued Goldman and accused him of merely ticking off “talking points” as compared to Baker who was of course examining the NUMBERS.

And Dean Baker documented just who was the ideologue living in a world of talking points: 80,000 jobs.  Not even HALF of his shockingly idiotic estimate.  And it was the conservative and his “talking points” who was right, right, RIGHT.

If it was a street fight, Goldman would be standing over Baker’s corpse and liberalism would be lying on the street DEAD.  But you just can’t kill this failed ideology of liberalism off in a “civilized” world.  They just get to keep screeching to fools and counting on the fact that there will always be ignorant, stupid, depraved people who believe that somebody else ought to be forced to support their failed lifestyles.

Stop and think about the difference of this “cancer presidency” and the Reagan recovery.  As voters considered re-electing Ronald Reagan, GDP was surging to 8.5 percent.  Under Obama, it’s 1.2 percent and we’re facing a double-dip recession.

Newsbusters has a great documentation of how incredibly propagandist the mainstream media was.  In May, 1984, when the jobs report for Ronald Reagan reported 269,000 jobs, the New York Slimes actually arbitrarily revised it DOWN by 19,000 jobs to 250,000 ostensibly to keep the numbers in increments of 50,000.  So if the New York Times were fairly “reporting” on Obama today, we’d have only 50,000 jobs created, wouldn’t we?  And whereas Obama’s numbers keep getting revised DOWN, Reagan’s for some mysterious reason were being revised UP: the revised jobs report for May, 1984 actually showed growth of 363,000 jobs.   Compare that to Obama’s jobs number above – recognizing that Reagan’s number was when we had a population of 235 million people versus 313 million today – and tell me that Obama isn’t wildly failing the American people.

The worst lies, according to the “lies, damned lies and statistics” proverb, are statistics.  And when liberals control the statistics, you get great news being depicted as lousy news and you get lousy news being depicted as great news.

Your biggest problem in being able to know the truth is that most of our “journalists” are Marxist propagandists who could have easily fit in at TASS during the Soviet days.

Ultimately communist “journalists” blamed seventy years of bad weather for why they couldn’t keep up with Ronald Reagan and an America that was being ran under conservative Republican policies.

And Obama is one of those Marxist ideologues trying to explain away failure and marginalize Reagan.  He makes me SICK with his rabid dishonesty.

Obama keeps demonizing Romney as standing for the “same failed Republican policies of the past.”  JUST LIKE RONALD REAGAN’S.

If you want to see “the failed policies of the past” you just take a look at Barack Obama’s utterly failed liberal policies of the last four years.  And as much as Obama has demonized George W. Bush, Barack Obama has never once even in his very best month been anywhere CLOSE to George Bush’s very worst month of unemployment.

Bill O’Reilly interviewed Bill Clinton and asked a question: Bill Clinton, George Bush, Barack Obama – who collected the largest revenue?

O’REILLY: I didn’t mind paying you that but do you know between… among you, Obama and Bush who had the highest tax receipts of all three of you? Do you know? Bush. So under prosperity the tax cuts under Bush more money flowed into the federal government.

Bill Clinton didn’t know (or more likely, knew but wouldn’t answer) and shook his head without responding: Bill O’Reilly supplied the answer: George Bush.  And that is because Tax Cuts INCREASE Revenues; They Have ALWAYS Increased Revenues.

For the record, if Barack Obama were held accountable to the labor participation rate that he inherited from George Bush, unemployment would be well over 11 percent right now.  The only reason that Obama’s unemployment number is as “good” as 8.2 percent is because Obama has destroyed millions of jobs and driven millions of Americans completely out of the work force where they are simply not even counted by the Labor Department.  The fact is that 88 million working-age Americans are not in the work force because of this completely failed presidency.  And the far better U-6 unemployment measurement has unemployment at 14.9%.

For the record, Bush’s U-6 rate was more than five points lower at this point in his presidency as he faced re-election.  To go with a 5.5 percent U-3 rate which is nearly three points lower.  But, hey, whatever we do, let’s not go back to “those failed policies.”

The “failed Republican policies of the past” don’t just refer to George Bush in late 2008 ( Democrats want you to believe that Bush was only president for the last few months of 2008 because the rest of his presidency looked pretty darn good); they refer to Ronald Reagan.

Let me tell you liberal pukes something: Ronald Reagan didn’t fail at NOTHIN’.

I wrote an article describing the grim economic indicators that were facing Ronald Reagan when he took office in 1980.  Jimmy Carter had said of the crisis, “It would be misleading for me to tell any of you that there is a solution to it.”

Unlike Jimmy Carter – and at this point it is very obvious to say, unlike Barack Obama – Ronald Reagan had a solution.  Under Reagan’s leadership, the US economy soared into the stratosphere.  Bill Clinton became part of that Reaganomics solution when he acknowledged that “the era of big government is over” and cooperated with the Republicans who had swept both the House and the Senate in a landslide when he too had failed to accept that conservative policies WORK.

It is a solution that Barack Obama has dedicated his entire life to destroying.  Which is why Obama has never and never WILL succeed as president.

If I had Barack Obama’s performance, I would resign.  I would have held a press conference and declared, “I’m sorry.  I thought I had a plan to turn this economy around.  Clearly I was wrong.  It’s time for me to step aside and allow someone with better ideas and better leadership to help the American people.”

But Barack Obama doesn’t give one miserable rat damn about the American people.  All the people whose support Obama rode to victory are the worst impacted by the disgrace of the Obama economy: black unemployment, Hispanic unemployment, female unemployment, college-age unemployment are utterly pathetic.  Last month in the “Obama recovery” minorities suffered miserably; this month their suffering got worse.  The unemployment rates for blacks shot up to 14.4 percent (14.8 percent prior to ‘seasonal adjustment’). Barack Obama is to these people as Adolf Hitler was to Germans, promising a government Utopia and producing nothing but abject ruin.

Barack Obama has declared war on the United States of America.  But instead of bullets and bombs, he has waged his war with massive and unsustainable government spending and joblessness.

Remember Obama’s ‘The Private Sector’s Doing Fine’ Remark? Manufacturing Just Crashed To Pre-‘Recovery’ Levels

July 3, 2012

The stink of a double-dip recession is heavy in the air and this time it’s going to take a whole lot more Kool-Aid to blame it on Bush.

But this is getting really wearisome to our messiah.  No matter what you hear, just remember: “The private sector’s doing fine.”

So if you hear something like, oh, say:

The trade group of purchasing managers said its index of manufacturing activity fell to 49.7. That’s down from 53.5 in May. And it’s the lowest reading since July 2009, a month after the Great Recession officially ended. Readings below 50 indicate contraction

and it occurs to you to think, “holy crap.  That sounds like the double-dip recession that conservatives predicted as a result of Obama’s stimulus being a sugar high that ultimately sucked money out of the private sector and then pissed it away on politically-connected government boondoggles.”

You just remember that your messiah said everything is “fine” and you just keep mindlessly supporting Obama.  Oh, and say a dozen “blame Bushes” before you go to bed tonight.

US manufacturing shrinks for first time in 3 years
By CHRISTOPHER S. RUGABER
AP Economics Writer

WASHINGTON (AP) — U.S. manufacturing shrank in June for the first time in nearly three years, adding to signs that economic growth is weakening.

Production and exports declined, and the number of new orders plunged, according to a monthly report released Monday by the Institute for Supply Management.

The slowdown comes as U.S. employers have scaled back hiring, consumers have turned more cautious, Europe faces a recession and manufacturing has slowed in big countries like China.

“This is not good,” said Dan Greenhaus, chief economic strategist at BTIG, an institutional brokerage. Though the report “does not mean recession for the broader economy, it is still a terribly weak number.”

The trade group of purchasing managers said its index of manufacturing activity fell to 49.7. That’s down from 53.5 in May. And it’s the lowest reading since July 2009, a month after the Great Recession officially ended. Readings below 50 indicate contraction.

Economists said the manufacturing figures were consistent with growth at an annual rate of 1.5 percent or less. That would be down from the January-March quarter’s already tepid annual pace of 1.9 percent.

“Our forecast that the U.S. will grow by around 2 percent this year is now looking a bit optimistic,” said Paul Dales, an economist at Capital Economics.

Stocks fell sharply after the report was released at 10 a.m. But investors appeared to shake off the bad manufacturing news by the end of the day. The Dow Jones industrial average recovered most of its early losses to close down just 8.7 points at 12,871. And broader indexes ended the day up.

Most economists aren’t yet predicting another recession. Though the ISM report suggests manufacturing is contracting, it typically takes a sustained reading below 43 to signal the economy isn’t growing.

Still, U.S. manufacturing, which has helped drive growth since the recession ended, is faltering at a precarious time.

Americans have pulled back on spending, which drives roughly 70 percent of growth. Europe’s economy is likely in recession, which has hurt U.S. exports.

And China’s manufacturing sector grew in June at its slowest pace in seven months, according to a survey released Sunday by the state-affiliated China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing.

Manufacturing will likely stay weak for the next few months. The ISM’s gauge of new orders, a measure of future activity, plunged from 60.1 to 47.8. That’s the first time it has fallen below 50 since April 2009, when the economy was still in recession.

Fewer new orders reflect growing concerns of businesses. In addition to slower global growth and less spending by U.S. consumers, many companies worry that U.S. lawmakers won’t extend a package of tax cuts at the end of the year.

Bricklin Dwyer, an economist at BNP Paribas, said the uncertainty “has left businesses unwilling to invest.”

A gauge of production in the ISM’s survey fell to its lowest level in more than three years.

U.S. factories are also reporting less overseas demand. A measure of exports dropped to 47.5, its lowest level since April 2009.

A gauge of employment edged down but remained at a healthy level of 56.6. That suggests factories may still be adding jobs. Manufacturers have reported job gains for eight straight months.

Overall hiring has slowed sharply this spring. Employers added an average of only 73,000 jobs per month in April and May. That’s much lower than the average of 226,000 added in the first three months of this year. The unemployment rate rose in May to 8.2 percent from 8.1 percent, the first increase in a year.

Worries about slowing job growth are outweighing the benefits of lower gas prices. A measure of consumer confidence fell in June for the fourth straight month.

Slower job growth and falling confidence are weighing on consumers’ willingness to spend. Americans cut back on purchases of autos and other long-lasting factory goods in May, the government said Friday.

The sharp drop in U.S. factory activity overshadowed more positive news on housing.

Construction spending rose 0.9 percent in May from April, the Commerce Department said in a separate report Monday. It was the second straight monthly increase, even though the level of spending still isn’t healthy.

The increase was driven by a surge in residential construction. Home sales are up from the same month last year. Mortgage rates are at the lowest levels in history. And prices have begun to stabilize in most markets.

The economy could also get a boost this summer from lower gas prices, which have tumbled more than 60 cents per gallon since peaking in April. The result is that consumers have more money to spend on other goods, from autos and furniture to electronics and vacations, that fuel economic growth.

The article twice mentioned “lower gas prices.”  But why are gas prices lower?  Because the economy sucks which drives down demand.

“Demand is down, which ought to help drive up demand.”

Just you remember that at least we don’t have that awful George W. Bush.  The unemployment rate was a terrible 5.3 percent:

Thank God those grim days are behind us.

Obama will probably talk about his 27 consecutive months of job growth.  Which is much better than George Bush’s pathetic 52 consecutive months of job growth.

I don’t doubt that Obama is going to blame Europe.  What’s funny, of course, is that Europe is blaming America.  But the bottom line is both Obama and the Europeans want to pile on more debt on top of their already utterly unsustainable debt.

One thing is for sure; Obama will NOT be talking about his shrinking labor participation rate, which has shrunk every year of his presidency and is now the worst its been in over thirty-one years.  Obama won’t talk about the fact that if the same labor participation rate that he inherited from Bush – 65.76 percent – were applied to Obama today, unemployment would actually be about 11.6 percent now.  He won’t talk about the fact that 88 million Americans of working age are out of the work force under his presidency.

He won’t mention any of that because the private sector’s doing fine.

That is an article of faith and if you don’t believe it, you’re a heretic.

And a racist, too.

‘The Other Side Will Tell You’ (The Truth): The Worst President EVER Tries To Inoculate His Followers Against Reality

June 15, 2012

As carried by Yahoo News:

In an Ohio campaign event, President Barack Obama described the kind of ads he foresees the GOP running against him during the election cycle.

“From now until then, both sides will spend tons of money on TV commercials. The other side will spend over a billion dollars on ads that tell you the economy is bad, that it’s all my fault; that I can’t fix it because I think government is always the answer, or because I didn’t make a lot of money in the private sector and don’t understand it, or because I’m in over my head, or because I think everything and everybody is doing just fine,” Obama said at Cuyahoga Community College Metropolitan Campus in Ohio on Thursday.

Notably, Obama did not refute the hypothetical accusations.

“That’s what the scary voice in the ads will say; that’s what Mr. Romney will say; that’s what the Republicans in Congress will say. Well, you know, that may be their plan to win the election. But it’s not a plan to create jobs. It’s not a plan to grow the economy. It’s not a plan to pay down the debt. And it’s sure not a plan to revive the middle class and secure our future.”

It’s interesting.  Obama first says, “The other side will spend over a billion dollars…”  Do you know which side first brought up the real possibility that it would be able to raise over a billion dollars?

Obama’s side.

Let’s consider a few facts.  Barack Obama became the first politician – as young and as inexperienced as he is – to raise over a billion dollars in the entire history of the human race.  Obama’s favorite source of money was the very Wall Street financiers he demonized as greedy and cynical fat catsObama is the slick pathological political weasel who has now held more fundraisers than the last five presidents COMBINED. As of March 27, Obama had attended 191 fundraisers – FAR EXCEEDING ANY PRESIDENT EVER RECORDED IN HISTORY.  In 2008, Obama outspent John McCain by at least 3-1 and by as much as 5-1 after breaking his promise to accept the public campaign matching funds that every previous party nominee had accepted until Obama.

Now this pathological weasel is following the liberal script to whine about the huge sums of money that HE HIMSELF OPENED THE DOORS TO HELL IN RAISING.  There never would have BEEN a Citizens United case that the left so demonizes had Obama accepted the same matching funds that every major party candidate for president had accepted before him.  Obama is the pathological weasel who started a war over campaign money and used that war chest to annihilate the other side and then actually complained that the other side was actually fighting back.

Obama says they’re going to tell you “that tell you the economy is bad, that it’s all my fault.”  Well, that’s a shocker.  We thought Obama knew that he’d been the president for the last four years and that the president was responsible for his economy.  That’s been true in the past, but not in this case, because Obama is a pathological weasel and a malignant narcissist to boot.  So Obama has never once accepted so much as a scintilla of blame for ANY of his four years of failure.  Rather, he’s literally still blaming Bush – and if you want four more years of failure along with four more years of excuses and four more years of blaming Bush, you know who to vote for.  Rather, he’s blaming the Republican Party for “obstructionism” – as if the two years of utter Democrat obstructionism in which Democrats controlled both the House AND the Senate during the period between 2006 and 2008 when the economy went to crap, during which a Senator named Barack Obama and a Senator named Joe Biden participated in obstructing absolutely everything George Bush tried to do while personally demonizing him on a constant basis, and the first two years of the Obama administration when he had total control of the White House, the House and the Senate but got NOTHING done to help the economy, mattered.

I ask you:

Further, Obama and the Democrats – in trying to demonize Republicans for their “obstructionism” – are demanding that Republicans vote for what is essentially the son of the son of Obama’s first massive and massively failed stimulus. Remember that first massive stimulus that was officially $862 billion but which the CBO said would actually cost $3.27 TRILLION when it was all said and done? Remember that second stimulus program for $447 billion that will likewise cost far more than that? How many more stimulus programs should Obama get? How many trillions of dollars in government spending is enough?

But that’s exactly what Obama is doing: demanding more of what he has already done and which has already failed.  Obama demands that America bash its head against a reinforced brick wall until it is a brainless collectivist socialist state like Europe.  Nothing will stop him from turning America into a failed state except an election.

So yeah, Barry Hussein, we DO blame you for your four years of mess.  Consider this summary of Obama’s record:

Few things are more difficult in politics than confronting failure and learning from it. It is especially difficult when a leader you have championed, and in whom you have placed your highest hopes, turns out to be less than he seemed.

Such is the dilemma facing liberals in the age of Obama. Barack Obama entered the presidency with his sights and standards very high, and many liberals believed he could be the transformative figure they had been awaiting for generations. But by now it is clear that, by any reasonable measure (including those set out by Obama himself at the beginning of his term), his presidency has been a failure.

Consider the economy. President Obama has overseen the weakest recovery on record. He is on track to have the worst jobs record of any president in the modern era. The standard of living for Americans has fallen more dramatically during his presidency than during any since the government began recording it five decades ago. As of this writing, unemployment has been above 8 percent for 38 consecutive months, the longest such stretch since the Great Depression. Home values are nearly 35 percent lower than they were five years ago. A record 46 million Americans are now living in poverty.

The economist Michael Boskin has listed some of the post–World War II records set during the Obama years: among them, federal spending as a percentage of GDP at 25 percent, the federal debt as a percentage of GDP at 67 percent, and the budget deficit as a percentage of GDP at 10 percent. The United States has amassed more than $5 trillion in debt since January 2009, with the president having submitted four budgets with trillion-dollar-plus deficits. (Prior to Obama, no president had submitted even a single budget with deficits in excess of a trillion dollars.) In addition, government dependency, defined as the percentage of persons receiving one or more federal benefit payments, is the highest in American history.

Add to this the fact that the president’s signature domestic achievement, the Affordable Care Act, is among the most unpopular major domestic policies passed in the last century; and that the $787 billion American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, widely known as Obama’s stimulus package, is so unpopular that his aides have virtually expelled the word stimulus from their lexicon.

And yeah, add to that the fact that Obama keeps trying to same trick under different names – it’s no longer a “stimulus,” it’s an investment  The “S” word is a dirty word, so Obama has to use another dirty word to sucker the American people into doing the same fool thing all over again.  It’s no longer “shovel-ready jobs,” it’s “construction workers ready to get dirty”.  And, you see, the fact that Obama is not talking about construction workers ready to get dirty “right now” means we can’t consider his infamous confession that “Shovel-ready was not as … uh .. shovel-ready as we expected.”

Obama most certainly cannot run claiming that the American people are better off under his presidency than they were.  We just found out that the average American household lost a whopping forty percent of their wealth.  Liberals want to blame some of that loss on Bush, but guess what: the median household income is down more after Obama’s first three years of failure (down $4,300 since assuming office)  than it was under the entire Bush presidency (down $2,000 over eight years):

Barack Obama campaigned four years ago assailing President George W. Bush for wage losses suffered by the middle class. More than three years into Obama’s own presidency, those declines have only deepened.

The rebound from the worst recession since the 1930s has generated relatively few of the moderately skilled jobs that once supported the middle class, tightening the financial squeeze on many Americans, even those who are employed.

[…]

As a candidate in 2008, Obama blamed the reversals largely on the policies of Bush and other Republicans. He cited census figures showing that median income for working-age households — those headed by someone younger than 65 — had dropped more than $2,000 after inflation during the first seven years of Bush’s time in office.

Yet real median household income in March was down $4,300 since Obama took office in January 2009 and down $2,900 since the June 2009 start of the economic recovery, according to an analysis of census data by Sentier Research, an economic- consulting firm in Annapolis, Maryland.

One of the interesting things that comes from these facts is that Americans have actually lost more in household income SINCE “the recession officially ended” ($2,900) than they had during the recession ($4,300 – $2,900 = $1,400).  Obama’s “recovery” is a “wreckovery” – which is the term conservatives like Michelle Malkin coined in predicting that Obamanomics would be a colossal and wildly expensive failure.  It is literally true to state that Obama’s “recovery” has been harder on American families economically than the recession that he keeps claiming he inherited was for those families.

There are more Americans living in poverty under Obama than any time during the 52 years the government has been publishing figures for that statistic.  There are more grown-ups living with their parents than any time during the last sixty years.

Pardon us for telling the world about what a profound failure you are, Barry Hussein.  Sorry it bothers you.  Truly sorry you are a pathetic and inadequate man in a job that is clearly way over your abilities to perform.

Obama says the Republicans are going to say “that it’s all my fault; that I can’t fix it.”

Obama himself once talked about “If I can’t fix the economy”:

Obama in 2009: If I can’t fix the economy in three years, you can call me former President Obama
by editor on June 16, 2011

Don’t you hate it when your own words come back to bite you in the butt? Back in February 2009 President Obama told Today Show host Matt Lauer that he’d be a one-term president if he didn’t fix the economy in three years.

“I will be held accountable,” Obama said. “I’ve got four years and … A year form now, I think people are going to see that we’re starting to make some progress, but there’s still going to be some pain out there … If I don’t have this done in three years, then there’s going to be a one-term proposition.”

Obama at the time he made that remark clearly believed that his Obamanomics held the answer, and that he could turn the economy around with his Obamanomics.  His was the administration that predicted that if his stimulus was passed – by which I mean the first $862 billion one, not the second $447 billion dollar one that he demanded follow it – unemployment would not go above 8% and that in fact unemployment would be less than 6% by now.  And he was saying if I’m wrong I’ve got no business holding this job and I should be voted out of office.

Question: DID OBAMA FIX THE ECONOMY? Please consider the above section on the economy before you provide an asinine answer, liberal.

Obama predicts we’ll going to say that “the economy is bad, that it’s all my fault; that I can’t fix it because I think government is always the answer.”

As Dinesh D’Souza points out:

Barack Obama is the most antibusiness president in a generation, perhaps in American history. Thanks to him the era of big government is back. Obama runs up taxpayer debt not in the billions but in the trillions. He has expanded the federal government’s control over home mortgages, investment banking, health care, autos and energy. The Weekly Standard summarizes Obama’s approach as omnipotence at home, impotence abroad.

Not only has Obama enacted spending that DWARFS anything ever before seen in the entire history of the human race, and not only is Obama literally spending $2.52 in bucks seized from taxpayers or borrowed from the Chinese for every $1 he gets in bang, not only are Obama’s budgets so insane than not even one single DEMOCRAT would vote for them for the last two years in a row, but the actual Obama spending is even worse than the official numbers:

Real federal deficit dwarfs official tally
By Dennis Cauchon, USA TODAY

The typical American household would have paid nearly all of its income in taxes last year to balance the budget if the government used standard accounting rules to compute the deficit, a USA TODAY analysis finds.

Under those accounting practices, the government ran red ink last year equal to $42,054 per household — nearly four times the official number reported under unique rules set by Congress.

A U.S. household’s median income is $49,445, the Census reports.

The big difference between the official deficit and standard accounting: Congress exempts itself from including the cost of promised retirement benefits. Yet companies, states and local governments must include retirement commitments in financial statements, as required by federal law and private boards that set accounting rules.

The deficit was $5 trillion last year under those rules. The official number was $1.3 trillion. Liabilities for Social Security, Medicare and other retirement programs rose by $3.7 trillion in 2011, according to government actuaries, but the amount was not registered on the government’s books.

America’s real debt is not the on-its-face massive $16 trillion; it is well over $211 trillion.  And virtually every penny of that debt is due to Democrat policies.  And what we are looking at now is a coming $600 trillion collapse.  Again, mostly created by liberals and liberal policies.

Yeah, Barry Hussein, you believe that government is God, and you are as determined as any true believer to force all Americans to bow down before you as the god of your Government and render you sacrifices and offerings otherwise known as “taxes.”  You DO believe “government is always the answer.”

And as was pointed out, in your demagogic attack that masqueraded as a “major policy speech” and yet offered nothing, NOTHING, you “did not refute the hypothetical accusations” that you literally levied against yourself.

Rather, you state them as a rhetorical device to suggest that they now somehow can’t be used against you – no matter how true they are and no matter what a failure you are.  And when we do in fact say the facts that you predicted we’d say – and why wouldn’t we? – you want your worshipers to disconnect the logical side of their brains and instead say, “Obama was right!  Scary voice man said exactly what Obama predicted!”

Obama says that the GOP will go after him “because I didn’t make a lot of money in the private sector.”  That isn’t true, and if you claim it is, find me a major conservative source that argues that Obama didn’t make enough money to be deemed a fit candidate for president.  It’s a straw man demagogic argument like most all of his other arguments that doesn’t have a scintilla of truth to it.

Our argument isn’t that Obama isn’t “rich” and so he shouldn’t be president (Obama IS rich, by the way: his books made him so); our argument is that Obama has basically NEVER had a real job in the private sector and has absolutely no idea whatsoever how the private sector works.  In fact, when Obama came the closest he ever would in his career to having such a job, he was so radical and so anti-business that he wrote, “I felt like a spy behind enemy lines.”  Obama’s real love was for socialist community agitating and undermining the private sector.  Our argument is also the fact that Obama has an administration that is almost as clueless in actual world business experience as he is:

The Obama administration is truly one of the blind leading the blind.

Obama predicts his opponents will say he should not be president “because I think everything and everybody is doing just fine.”  Again, Obama demagogues his opponents by offering a straw man.  Unlike Obama, we don’t have to invent false statements to demonize our opponentWE CAN RELY ON OBAMA’S VERY OWN WORDS:

“The private sector is doing fine. Where we’re seeing weaknesses in our economy have to do with state and local government,” President Obama claimed on Friday. His solution to fix the public sector was more government spending.

Nobody is arguing that Obama says “everybody and everything is doing just fine.”  That is simply typical lying demagoguery from a lying demagogue weasel.  Obama wants to slander and demonize the truth so that when his followers hear it, they will be inoculated against it and turn their brains off.  The fact is that Obama said that the private sector is doing just fine, and that ought to be quite a surprise to the vast majority of Americans.  According to US News and World Report, about 22 million people work in the American public sector.  The OTHER 291 million Americans are in the private sector.  And let me assure you that things aren’t nearly so rosy for those 291 million Americans as Barack Obama claims they are.

I document that the labor participation rate clearly proves that Barack Obama has destroyed jobs at a terrifying rate.  For men, the labor participation rate is now 70% – the lowest it has EVER been since records started being kept in 1948.  The American work force has massively evaporated during the Obama years, with millions of jobs simply vanishing, and if the U.S. unemployment rate were calculated using the labor participation rate that Barack Obama inherited from George W. Bush, the official unemployment rate would be on the order of 11.6%.  I also document that a whopping 88 million working age Americans are completely out of the labor force under Obama’s regime.

“The private sector’s doing fine” is a lie from a genuinely evil man.

Many people have admired Obama’s speaking ability.  Allow me to point something out: the gift of great public speaking can be a blessing or a curse.  In the case of Winston Churchill, it was a blessing, as his courage and clarity of speech rallied the free world to fight and to keep fighting.  In the case of Adolf Hitler, it was a curse as an demon-possessed man used the power of lies to ignite the unholy passions of a nation that had succumbed to a spirit of deception.  I’m not trying to claim that Barack Obama is Adolf Hitler; I’m merely pointing out the fact that the gift of speech can be used not to illuminate the truth, but to deceive, not to reveal reality, but to distort it, not to untangle the truth, but to tangle it up into knots.  Barack Obama does the latter on a constant basis.

When the revelations came out about Rev. Jeremiah Wright – Obama’s self-acknowledged spiritual leader and mentor for over 20 years – I realized that this man was an order of magnitude more evil than any president who had ever sat in the Oval Office, and that America would suffer terribly under him.  History documents that I have not been wrong.

So when Obama says, “They’re going to say this about me,” what he’s really saying is, “They’re going to tell you the truth about me.  Don’t believe it.  Believe my lies instead.”

Hypocrite Alert: The Same Nancy Pelosi Who DEMONIZED Bush And 52 Consecutive Months Of Job Creation Hails Obama’s 27 Months As Wonderful

June 2, 2012

Nancy Pelosi trotted out today and had this to say:

Leader Pelosi. Good morning. Nice to see you all here – you missed the crowd of visitors to the Capitol. It’s pretty exciting when they come where, what a thrill.

With today’s jobs report it is clear that we have work to do. Although this is the 27th month of increased, continued job increases in our economy it is certainly not enough. It’s clear from that jobs number that we have work to do. We know it and the American people know it and American families across the country know it.

Wow.  “This is the 27th month of increased, continued job increases,” says Pelosi.  You’ve got to praise a president who can boast that kind of a record.

But a president who has – quite literally – TWICE THAT RECORD?  You should demonize that president.

George Bush had 52 months of “increased, continued job increases.”  As US News and World Report points out:

“Economy Made Few Gains in Bush Years”, declared the Washington Post earlier this week. And while the story grudgingly acknowledged the 52-straight months of job growth, it dismissed any economic gains as the ephemeral product of the housing bubble and wild-spending consumers. Except … that worker productivity — the most important long-term indicator of the core health and competitiveness of an economy — has risen at a really impressive 2.6 annual rate during the Bush years vs. 2.0 percent for Clinton and 1.6 percent for Reagan. (That factoid from the Wall Street Journal.) This is important stuff. It’s one big reason why the World Economic Forum says the U.S. has the most competitive economy in the world. The economic rebound after the pro-growth 2003 tax cuts was no mirage.

Okay, 52 straight months of job growth under Bush.  Let me get out my calculator, because this is math that is clearly FAR beyond any Democrat’s ability to perform: 52 months versus 27 months.  Which is more?

Yep.  I just confirmed it.  Bush’s 52 consecutive months of job growth dwarfs Obama’s 27 months.

And Bush also gave America worker productivity that dwarfed Bill Clinton’s while giving us virtually the same unemployment rate as Clinton (5.2% unemployment under Bush).

I could do also do the math to show that Bush’s unemployment rate is so much better than Obama’s it’s not even funny.  But that would be like rocket science explained to ants for Democrats.  So I won’t bother.  But if you look at the monthly unemployment figures and do the math that Democrats are clearly too depraved to do, Obama’s average unemployment rate through May 2012 is 9.2%.

So the guy with the 9.2% unemployment rate who promised America that unemployment would be under 6% by now if we passed his massive stimulus is saying that the guy with the 5.2% unemployment rate is to blame for his abject failure.

It actually gets considerably worse – because even those monthly unemployment figures are deceitful.  Labor participation has plummeted abysmally and catastrophically under Obama; millions of workers have simply given up bothering to even try to look for a job and 88 million working age Americans aren’t working during this failed presidency.  If we were to calculate Obama’s unemployment rate by the SAME participation rate that Bush’s last unemployment figure was calculated under, Obama would actually have an 11.4% unemployment rate.

That’s in the weeds particularly for Democrats’ whose ideological brains are somewhat smaller than cockroackes’, but the U-6 unemployment rate that many say is this broader “real” rate is 14.8% right now.

Job creation is way down.  The unemployment rate is up.  The market just crashed to correction levels (defined as dropping by 10% from the high) with the Dow losing 278 and the Nasdaq losing 80.  The last two months of “job gains” were downwardly revised. The GDP sucks the big one with a downwardly revised 1.9%.  And speaking of “revising” EVERYTHING keeps getting revised down under this propaganda presidency.

Well, at least Obama has Nancy Pelosi to keep singing his praises.  It’s a way-off tune shrieking cackle that belongs in the padded part of the psycho ward, but at this point Obama has to take praise anywhere he can get it.

With Naked Obama Regime Propaganda All Around, America Under Obama Has Now Seen The 30 Worst Months Of Unemployment In 25 Years

May 26, 2012

What’s worse: when a government fails its people or when a government that is failing its people resorts to propaganda to hide the truth?

Under Obama: 30 Worst Months of Employment in the Past 25 Years
8:05 AM, May 23, 2012 • By JEFFREY H. ANDERSON

The federal government’s Bureau of Labor Statistics publishes monthly tallies for the employment-population ratio.  That stat shows something rather straightforward:  Among those who are living in America and are free to pursue employment, what percentage are employed?  (The bureau excludes those who are under 16 years old, are active-duty military, or are — in the bureau’s own words — “inmates of institutions (for example, penal and mental facilities, homes for the aged),” from its tallies.)

Over the past quarter of a century (a total of 300 months), dating back to May 1987 and the Reagan administration, here are the 30 worst months (that is, the bottom 10 percent) for the employment-population ratio, along with the president who happened to be in office at that particular time (scroll down to the see the list):

1. (tie) July 2011, 58.2 percent, President Barack Obama
1. (tie) June 2011, 58.2 percent, Obama
1. (tie) November 2010, 58.2 percent, Obama
1. (tie) December 2009, 58.2 percent, Obama
5. (tie) August 2011, 58.3 percent, Obama
5. (tie) December 2010, 58.3 percent, Obama
5. (tie) October 2010, 58.3 percent, Obama
8. (tie) April 2012, 58.4 percent, Obama
8. (tie) October 2011, 58.4 percent, Obama
8. (tie) September 2011, 58.4 percent, Obama
8. (tie) May 2011, 58.4 percent, Obama
8. (tie) April 2011, 58.4 percent, Obama
8. (tie) February 2011, 58.4 percent, Obama
8. (tie) January 2011, 58.4 percent, Obama
15. (tie) March 2012, 58.5 percent, Obama
15. (tie) January 2012, 58.5 percent, Obama
15. (tie) December 2011, 58.5 percent, Obama
15. (tie) November 2011, 58.5 percent, Obama
15. (tie) March 2011, 58.5 percent, Obama
15. (tie) September 2010, 58.5 percent, Obama
15. (tie) August 2010, 58.5 percent, Obama
15. (tie) July 2010, 58.5 percent, Obama
15. (tie) June 2010, 58.5 percent, Obama
15. (tie) March 2010, 58.5 percent, Obama
15. (tie) February 2010, 58.5 percent, Obama
15. (tie) January 2010, 58.5 percent, Obama
15. (tie) November 2009, 58.5 percent, Obama
15. (tie) October 2009, 58.5 percent, Obama
29. February 2012, 58.6 percent, Obama
30. (tie) May 2010, 58.7 percent, Obama
30. (tie) April 2010, 58.7 percent, Obama
30. (tie) September 2009, 58.7 percent, Obama

Interestingly, the 30 (or 32, including ties) worst months for employment in the past 25 years have all come after the most recent recession ended, in June 2009. In other words, they’ve all come during the Obama “recovery.”

What’s more, under every other president during the past 25 years (spanning from the later stages of the Reagan presidency through the entire George W. Bush presidency), the employment-population ratio was always over 60 percent — every single month, for 260 consecutive months. In vivid contrast, with the exception of the month in which he took office (January 2009) and his first full month in office (February 2009), the employment-population ratio under Obama has always been under 60 percent — every single month, for 38 consecutive months. (For 32 consecutive months — from September 2009 to the present day — it’s been under 59 percent.)

In fact, the worst non-Obama month in the past 25 years was December 2008, when the employment-population ratio was 61.0 percent under George W. Bush. Comparatively, Obama’s best month to date (not counting January 2009, when he entered midstream) was his first, February 2009, when the employment-population ratio was 60.3 percent. In other words, over the past 25 years, the worst month under any other president has beaten the best month under Obama.

Again, what’s worse, employment numbers perennially in the toilet or government propaganda regarding said employment numbers being perennially in the toilet?

I’ll let you decide, but they’re both going on at the same time under the “hope and change” administration of Barry Hussein:

Inital Claims Soar Again, Ninth Consecutive Miss To Expectations In A Row: BLS Back To Propaganda School
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 04/19/2012 08:42 -0400

There are those who thought last week’s massive Initial claims miss was the last one. They were wrong. Instead of printing at the expected 370K, an improvement from last week’s already big miss of 380K, this week came at a whopping 386K, the worst standalone print in 4 months. Well, until last week’s revision that is: instead of the 380K print that stunned everyone, last week’s number has now been revised to a massive 388K. Why? So that mainstream media can declare, with a straight face, that this week saw the number of initial claims decline! Here is the reality: last week’s expectation was for a print of 355K. Instead we got a number of 380K. Now this number is being revised to 388K, and is the biggest initial expectation to revision miss since early 2011. Needless to say, this means two things: 1) the transitory bump associated with record warm weather, which was nothing but pulling from the future, is now over, and 2) the April NFP print will be another disaster, which is just as the Fed wants it – after all it is time to start setting the stage for the NEW QE (and certainly not QE3 which is already in place as Jeff Gundlach was so kind to explain) now that Obama is the margin hiker in chief.

The chart below shows the difference between the actual print (revised) and the expectation survey: 9 straight misses in a row.

For those not on the propaganda hopium dole, this is how YTD revisions look like, courtesy of John Lohman:

Tyler Durden wrote this back in mid-April.  If I may draw your attention to the very last chart immediately above, Eric Bolling reported yesterday that the jobless numbers have now been revised upward – meaning the initial report was that employment numbers were better than they actually were – for twenty consecutive weeks in a row.

Obama knows that once the report comes out, the market reacts based on that initial report and few ever bother to pay attention about the revision that comes out later.  It’s a great way to sell lies.

If I flip a coin and come up with heads twenty times in a row, you’d better look at my coin before we make a bet on the next coin toss when I call “heads” again.

But it’s still worse than that: because as New York Times reporter Louise Story pointed out May 26, 63 of the last 64 Department of Labor weekly jobless reports have now revised the jobless numbers HIGHER.  I couldn’t find her work on that, but here’s an article from a few weeks earlier that describes the same situation:

Lies, Damned Lies and Government Jobs Data (oringinal article available here)

As analysts dig into the government jobs numbers, questions are being raised about the reliability of the data. 59 out of the last 60 weeks, the weekly jobless numbers have been revised after the fact to a higher number. The unemployment rate has been questioned too because the number doesn’t include people who stopped looking for work, but still want a job.

There is lots of talk about the “fiscal cliff” the U.S. faces at year end, as stimulus and tax cuts go away.

So the last thing the government needs now is market distrust in its job numbers. But, as analysts dig into the government job numbers, questions are increasingly being raised about the reliability of the data, from questionable revisions in the weekly jobless numbers to the odd changes in unemployment rates.

For 59 out of the last 60 weeks, the weekly jobless numbers have been revised, after the fact, always in the same direction: higher. That’s unheard of.

Those revisions higher make the present week’s unemployment number look better in comparison, more so since the markets often treat the prior week’s revision as an afterthought.

This is naked, glaring propaganda.  But it’s not being very widely reported, is it?

This is the worst government for propaganda since Hitler and Stalin.  It’s not just that the Obama regime continually lies; it is that a Joseph Goebbels-style media eagerly swallows each new lie with enthusiasm.

Barack Obama Is Bringing Americans Together – As ROOMMATES Because Rent In His Regime Is Too Expensive For People To Live Alone Anymore

May 18, 2012

Barack Obama is bringing America together.

No, he’s not doing it the way he deceitfully promised when he said he would transcend the political divide and that this wasn’t red states and blue states but the United States.  Obama lied like your floor rug on that.  He’s the most polarizing president in American history because he demonizes his opposition like no American president EVER did.  According to Obama, Republicans are people who crave dirty air and dirty water and celebrate every time a child is born with autism or Downs Syndrome.  And of course we should break America up into racial groups and those groups should “punish their enemies.”  No, rather, Obama is bringing Americans together in a very literal way: because Americans can no longer afford to live alone anymore.

This year about 30% of adults, 69.2 million people, are living in doubled-up households, compared with 27.7%, or 61.7 million, in 2007, according to a September report on income, poverty and health insurance from the Census Bureau.

The completely failed Obama presidency has done NOTHING to solve the housing mortgage crisis that actually caused the 2008 collapse.  If anything his failed policies have made that crisis WORSE and certainly stalled any hope that a free market be allowed to self-correct.

Maybe that was Obama’s plan: because he’s brought us together in a unique way.  Because of his failed presidency, more Americans than ever before are forced to live with a roommate because they can’t afford to pay “ObamaRent.”

Rents Keep Rising, Even as Housing Prices Fall
By MOTOKO RICH
Published: February 24, 2012

The housing market remains a potent drag on the economy as home prices continue to slip, foreclosed homes fill some neighborhoods and millions of construction workers scramble for jobs.

But one group is sitting pretty: landlords.

Unlike home prices, rents have been rising, up 2.4 percent in January from a year earlier, according to recent data, not adjusted for inflation, released by the Labor Department.

With few rental buildings erected over the last few years, available units are going fast. Nationwide, the apartment vacancy rate is down to 5.2 percent, its lowest level in more than a decade, according to the research firm Reis Inc.

[…]

“We are more of a renter nation than we have been for a while,” said Christopher J. Mayer, a professor of real estate at the Columbia University Business School.

It’s an interesting state of affairs: home values and prices are plunging because nobody can afford one or will take the risk of buying a home in this economically dying country.  But people – including poor people – have to live somewhere (at least until cardboard boxes and park benches start looking like better prospects): so rents are skyrocketing.

Obama has “fundamentally transformed” America into a nation of renters.  And more Americans are now forced to live with roommates than ever before:

Home Invasion! How Old Is Too Old for Roommates?
With apartments scarce, even settled, married couples are opening up their homes to strange bedfellows.
By Rachel R. White 5/09 10:55am

When Michelle, a writer working on a first novel, tells people her husband, Daniel, is a hedge fund manager, they often remark, “Oh, honey, you did well.” And she did. The recently married pair live in a large dazzling loft in Dumbo. They currently rent, though they’ve started looking at places to buy and are getting serious about a second home upstate.

But Michelle and Daniel’s living situation was dealt a serious blow by the economy when Hannah, Michelle’s friend from Columbia, found herself without a job or home. The couple gave her a place to crash, and Daniel found he had to navigate a new morning routine. He was careful to get dressed in the bedroom before venturing out to make coffee, and he learned to keep especially quiet as he pored over the Wall Street Journal and the Times before work, so as not to wake Hannah, dozing on the guest bed in the corner.

Thanks to stagnant employment rates and rising rent prices, such situations appear to be increasingly common. Browsing Craigslist for single-room listings that include the phrase “we are a couple” brings up 131 posts from the week of April 30–May 7 alone. Stephanie Diamond, founder of The Listings Project, an email resource for renters in New York City, says she’s also seen a rise in couples seeking roommates. So has Jonathan Miller, the president and CEO of Miller Samuel Inc., a real estate consulting firm. “More people are sharing rents—doubling up—whether with family or roommates,” he said.

Remember the new book Going Solo: The Extraordinary Rise and Surprising Appeal of Living Alone by NYU sociology professor Eric Klinenberg? Forget it. Mr. Miller calls the whole idea “bizarre,” pointing out that housing formation has lately fallen—which means that more people are actually living together.

Or – if you’re a college graduate who can’t find a job in Obama’s God damn America – live with your parents in their basement.  That’s what Obama meant when he said “hope and change,” you just didn’t read the fine print:

Survey: 85% of New College Grads Move Back in with Mom and Dad
By Erica Ho | @ericamho | May 10, 2011

The kids are coming home to roost.

Surprise, surprise: Thanks to a high unemployment rate for new grads, many of those with diplomas fresh off the press are making a return to Mom and Dad’s place. In fact, according to a poll conducted by consulting firm Twentysomething Inc., some 85% of graduates will soon remember what Mom’s cooking tastes like.

Times are undeniably tough. Reports have placed the unemployment rate for the under-25 group as high as 54%. Many of these unemployed graduates are choosing to go into higher education in an attempt to wait out the job market, while others are going anywhere — and doing anything — for work. Meanwhile, moving back home helps with expenses and paying off student loans.

The outlook isn’t sunshine and roses: Rick Raymond, of the College Parents of America, notes, “Graduates are not the first to be hired when the job markets begins to improve. We’re seeing shocking numbers of people with undergraduates degrees who can’t get work.”

Guess moving back home isn’t limited to philosophy majors anymore.

By the way, absolutely nothing has changed in the last year: an article that came out May 15, 2012 says the figure is STILL 85%:

Boomerang kids: 85% of college graduates must move back home
By Jessica Dickler | CNNMoney.com – May 15, 2012

Editor’s note: Politifactrecently called into question a survey cited in the 2010 CNNMoney article below. The survey, conducted by a company called Twentysomething Inc., found that 85% of college seniors planned to move back home with their parents after graduation. At the time, CNNMoney interviewed the head of Twentysomething, which today is no longer in business. A survey conducted by the Pew Research Center in December 2011 found that 53% of 18- to 24-year-olds are living with their parents or moved back with them temporarily during the past few years.

Getting a degree used to be a stepping stone to limitless career opportunities. Now it’s more of a hiatus from living under your parents’ roof.

Stubbornly high unemployment — nearly 15% for those ages 20-24 — has made finding a job nearly impossible. And without a job, there’s nowhere for these young adults to go but back to their old bedrooms, curfews and chore charts. Meet the boomerangers.

“This recession has hit young adults particularly hard,” according to Rich Morin, senior editor at the Pew Research Center in DC.

So hard that a whopping 85% of college seniors planned to move back home with their parents after graduation last May, according to a poll by Twentysomething Inc., a marketing and research firm based in Philadelphia. That rate has steadily risen from 67% in 2006.

“It’s peaking at levels we have not seen before,” said David Morrison, managing director and founder of Twentysomething.

Mallory Jaroski, 22 graduated from Penn State University in May but has been living at home with her mother while looking for a job in press relations. “It’s not bad living with my mom, but I feel like a little kid. I have a little bed, a little room,” she says.

Jaroski thought she would stay for summer. But like many others, she’s found her stay becoming significantly longer.

College Students voted for Obama in huge numbers.  And now they’re getting what they voted for: the most wicked and wickedly failing president in American history.

Now a lot more Americans are living the “college lifestyle” thanks to Obama:

This year about 30% of adults, 69.2 million people, are living in doubled-up households, compared with 27.7%, or 61.7 million, in 2007, according to a September report on income, poverty and health insurance from the Census Bureau.

Late last year I wrote, “Housing Under Obama Worst Since Great Depression – With Poor And Minorities Most Screwed By ‘Hope And Change’.”  Last year i wrote, “Obama’s ‘Hope and Change’ In Action: Poverty At Highest Number In 52 Years Census Bureau Has Tracked It.”  It hasn’t got any better since.

As a result of Obama’s demonic demagogic class warfare policies that punish workers by forcing employers to cut their workforces, black people have been set back DECADES. And women are losing ground. Obama is HURTING the poor while falsely and cynically claiming to be helping them.  Here are four headlines about the very base that makes up the Obama constituency that I wrote about last year:

After decades of hard-fought progress, black economic gains were reversed in Great Recession

Hispanics’ Unemployment Rate Soars

Women Losing Ground as Jobs Crisis Rages

U.S. Youth Unemployment At Arab Spring Levels

And let me add one about the young people that Obama’s damn-fool policies have failed JUST AS CONSERVATIVES TOLD ANYBODY WHO WOULD LISTEN THEY WOULD:

Teen Unemployment Another Proof Of How Desperately Wrong Obama, Democrat Policies Are And How Much They Hurt Little People

I can CONTINUE to document that the “Democrats’ War On Poverty Has Been A War On America That Has Done NOTHING To Help The Poor.”  I can continue to document that thanks to Obama “Inflation Is Back On The Table As Part Of Obama’s ‘Hope and Change’ Misery Buffet.”

The ONLY reason the unemployment rate is going down is because three people continue to abandon any chance of ever getting a job for every ONE person who is able to actually get a job.

It is a fact that “Real Unemployment Is Skyrocketing With A Record 88 Million Working-Age Americans Out Of Labor Force In Obama’s God Damn America.”

It is a FACT that the “Rapidly Worsening Labor Participation Rate Is Now Lowest In More Than THIRTY YEARS Under Obama’s Failed Regime. PLEASE LOOK AT HISTORY!!!.”

So let me simply ask: “Where Are The Jobs, Obama You Liar???

Unemployed Workers Losing Their Federal Unemployment Benefits ‘To Pay For’ Obama’s Bogus Jobless Number Claims

Obama Voters Losing Jobless Benefits Due to the Manipulation of Workforce Numbers

RUSH: Michael in Momence, Illinois. Great to have you on the EIB Network. Hello.CALLER: Thanks a lot, Rush, first-time caller. I’m calling because I was at the unemployment office just yesterday, and they have tables there where people fill out the paperwork that they have –RUSH: Wait, wait, wait whoa, whoa, whoa, just a second. I need you to go slow here.

CALLER: Okay.

RUSH: Why were you at the unemployment office? It may seem like an obvious question, but I want to know, why were you at the unemployment office?

CALLER: I was filing for benefits.

RUSH: Filing for unemployment benefits. Okay.

CALLER: Yes.

RUSH: Then you said on the tables…

CALLER: They had tables set out for people to fill out paperwork.

RUSH: Okay.

CALLER: All right. On this table was a few copies of a news release, as it said across the top of the paper, and what the news release was saying was: Due to the lowering of the unemployment rate and the improving economy, that federal extensions for unemployment benefits were being canceled. So it’s not 99 weeks anymore.

RUSH: Well, this was in Momence, Illinois?

CALLER: Kankakee County office.

RUSH: Kankakee County. So you went in there —

CALLER: Yeah.

RUSH: — and they’re touting the economy roaring back so much, unemployment rate has gone down, the economy is improving, so federal extensions for unemployment benefits are being canceled?

CALLER: That’s correct.

RUSH: I had not heard that.

CALLER: That was news to me as well.

RUSH: Well, but was there anything in this about 99 weeks, or are you just saying that because you know it’s 99 weeks that’s the max?

CALLER: Well, actually my brother’s well below his 99 weeks. He called to verify and he said he’s gonna be kicked off as of next week.

RUSH: Even before he reaches his 99 weeks?

CALLER: Yeah, 99 weeks doesn’t mean anything anymore.

RUSH: I have not heard this anywhere. Have you heard this anywhere, that people are just being told the economy is doing so well and unemployment is going up or down, employment’s going up, that your benefits are being canceled?

CALLER: Not mine personally yet, but that’s what’s going on.

RUSH: Well, but you’re just starting. Illinois’s unemployment rate hasn’t gone down. Illinois’s unemployment rate is skyrocketing.

CALLER: Well, apparently they seem to think it’s pretty good.

RUSH: Well. This doesn’t make any sense.

CALLER: Well, Rush, here’s part of my question, is what happens to these people now that they’re shoved up the unemployment rolls? Are these people being counted?

RUSH: That’s why this doesn’t make any sense. In an election year, you add people to the unemployment rolls. You take care of ’em. You extend their benefits. You make sure they know you’re doing — this makes no sense. This is like a Romney prank.

CALLER: You know what you probably could do, and maybe your staff could do it, maybe go to the Illinois unemployment website and click on news releases. They do release news on the website.

RUSH: Well, I’ll assign one of the 55 people doing research to that. Snerdley is asking me, “Could this be how they’re lowering the numbers?” Am I the only one that sees this? Again, I ask that question. Okay, here are the two possibilities on the table. Michael, I was joking about the 55 people doing research. I was being very, very facetious. Thanks for the call. Here’s what we have. A guy goes in to the Illinois unemployment office in Kankakee County. News releases all over the tables where you fill out your forms: Because the unemployment rate is coming down and the economy is recovering, unemployment benefits are being canceled.

The only thing not said on the release is, “Get a job.” I don’t know what canceled means. They’re not canceling everybody’s benefits. That I know. But it’s just what this guy saw. So here are the two possibilities on the table. Snerdley’s theory is that this is how they’re getting the unemployment rate down. Okay, the benefit of that is what? The unemployment rate going down, millions and millions and millions of Americans unemployed, who else is gonna see this? The only people that are gonna see this are people going to the unemployment office. Why do you go to unemployment office? To get your bennies. To get your benefits.

You walk in to get your benefits. You read a news release that says: Sorry, you’re out of luck, get a job. This is how we’re lowering the unemployment rate. And this lowering the unemployment rate is gonna redound to Obama by getting him more votes because we’re gonna spread the news the economy is recovering, unemployment’s going down, but nobody is gonna see that unless somebody from that office called here like just happened. On the other hand, what is the real-world effect of this? People who are on unemployment are in there, I’d say the majority of them are genuine, they’re not scamming the system. Some are in there trying to scam it, happens, but most people are in there ’cause they’re out of work and they want some unemployment benefits. They read something in there: Sorry, the economy is getting so good, the unemployment rate is falling so much, that benefits are canceled, or extension benefits are canceled.

In an election year, Obama turning away voters? I can’t believe this. This is like a Republican trick. If I didn’t know better I’d say Andrew Breitbart had been in the Kankakee County, Illinois, unemployment office. I mean here you have hapless people with nowhere else to go, out of work, going in to sign up for unemployment and they read something from the regime that says, “No benefits, the economy is doing too good.” In an election year you want as many people on unemployment benefits as possible. You want dependents. You want people thanking you for making it possible they can eat. Snerdley, you’re off the reservation. Snerdley is now suggesting this is how they’re getting rid of white working class. They don’t know who’s gonna walk in there. The news release doesn’t say: Only to be read if you’re white working class. Doesn’t say that. Everybody’s gonna see this. According to the BLS, the Illinois unemployment rate is 8.1, so it is down. This doesn’t make any sense. And again, anybody can call here and say anything, but the guy sounded legit.

RUSH: Okay, I have the press release that the guy who went to the Illinois unemployment office saw. I’m holding it right here my formerly nicotine-stained fingers. I have it. And he was right. Now, here’s the deal. Economic Growth Strong Enough to Close Temporary Unemployment Insurance Program.” That’s the headline. “Long-Term Unemployed Should Visit IllinoisJobLink.com — Chicago: Falling unemployment rates and steady economic growth means an extended unemployment insurance program ends this month, the Illinois Department of Employment Security (IDES) said today.

“The expiring federal program…” By the way, the date of this thing is May 2nd. “The expiring federal program affects individuals who have collected benefits for more than 79 weeks. The Extended Benefit (EB) program ends May 12 because specific economic factors set forth by federal officials were met, such as the falling unemployment rate. Illinois EB claimants will be notified via mail and e-mail. Final payments will be issued during the two weeks following May 12. No further unemployment program exists for EB exhaustees.”

You ever heard that word: “Exhaustees”? So here’s the deal. “More than 200,000 long-term jobless Americans will lose their unemployment checks this week, when eight states roll off the federal Extended Benefits program. Nearly half of them live in California, and the rest reside in Florida, Illinois, North Carolina, Colorado, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Texas. The federal Extended Benefits program has provided the jobless with up to 20 weeks of unemployment checks after they’ve run through their state and their federal emergency benefits, which together last up to 79 weeks.

“But the Extended Benefits program is expiring throughout the country” when your state unemployment rate drops. So Obama… What’s happening here, I actually kind of like it now. Now, wait! Obama is stabbing himself in the back here: 200,000 Americans are losing their unemployment. There’s no more 99 weeks in these eight states, and it’s gonna be more states. As the regime keeps reporting the unemployment rate going down, they are at the same time kicking their own voters off the unemployment rolls!

That’s what’s happening here.

So the caller last hour who went in for the first time to sign up won’t be eligible for 99 weeks anymore. He’s gonna get 79 weeks is what’s happening here. The fed’s 20-week extension to take you to 99 weeks is ending because the unemployment rate has fallen to a level previously agreed to by federal officials. This all goes back to deals made during the debt limit arguments. But, see, here’s the thing. Now, the Democrats politically… Keep a sharp eye on this. This is how you are on the cutting edge here, folks.

Because while everybody’s talking about Romney and gay marriage and all this, the Democrats are already trying to blame the end of unemployment extensions on the Republicans because this was part of the debt ceiling deal last August. Now, this is a Democrat deal, but they’re gonna blame the Republicans for it. And it wouldn’t be happening if there was an honest unemployment rate being reported! That’s the great thing here. Well, I say “great thing.”

The funny thing is the regime is stabbing itself in the back because they’re faking the unemployment number. Unemployment is not going down because people are finding jobs; unemployment is going down because the universe of jobs is shrinking: The labor force participation rate. Eighty-eight million Americans aren’t working! Sixteen million of them make up the 8.1% unemployment number. When you have a smaller universe of jobs against which you’re calculating the unemployed, the percentage is gonna go down.

The percentage of two-out-of-ten is 20%. Two-out-of-15 is less than 20%. What they’re doing is lowering the universe number so that the percentage of people reported to be out of work goes down, but it isn’t true. The unemployment number… Everybody admits this. Everybody knows that what the regime is doing is jimmying the numbers because they’re shrinking the universe. There aren’t any new jobs being created, certainly not enough to lower the unemployment rate. So Obama’s voters are getting the shaft.

Somebody just said, “If fewer people had given up working, they’d get their benefits.” No. The regime is just… Maybe this what people don’t understand. Maybe this is where I failed to communicate. The administration is just arbitrarily telling us that there are two to 2-1/2 million fewer jobs today than there were when Obama took office. They’re just reporting whatever number they have to make up to make the unemployment rate drop. The number of people in the labor force is not a factual statistic.

The regime is making it up in order to get the unemployment rate down. Because Obama’s calculation here, obviously, is: “When the unemployment rate goes down, people think jobs are being created and people are going back to work. So we can easily sell an economic recovery.” But the problem is, even when that number went from 8.2% to 8.1% (did you notice?), the media were not excited about it. I was amazed. The media reporting it was actually accurate. They told us the truth.

The number is going down not because of new jobs being created. The number’s going down because more and more people are out of the workforce. And people started scratched their heads, “How can that be? If more and more people are out of the workforce, how can the number go down?” Right! Exactly! Now you get it! In the old days, when America was really America, the unemployment rate went down because people were being hired. Now the unemployment rate is going down because people not only are not being hired, but they’re not even looking for work!

And then beyond that, they’re not even being counted as looking for work. So because of, essentially, an artificially low unemployment number, Obama voters are losing their unemployment benefits. This is what… When the guy told the story, this is what I couldn’t believe. That’s why I thought, “If Andrew Breitbart was still alive, he’d print this press release and put it in all these unemployment on offices.” (laughing) Because like this guy called me…

This guy called and he was shocked. “My benefits have been cut because they say the economy is roaring back!” He knows the economy is not roaring back. He knows the economy is not robust. He can’t find a job. Where is he? He’s in the unemployment office! Why? Because he can’t find a job. But then he gets there and he reads about how good the economy is doing and that his benefits are gonna get cut. And if he had any intention of voting for Obama, I guarantee he’s gonna be scratching his head, ’cause all Obama’s out there doing is talking about all the benefits that you can get.

So you’re gonna have to find a way, you people, to get over to the Social Security department and get on Social Security disability to make up for your unemployment benefit cuts. Obama voters are being punished because of Obama’s jiggering of the figures. Their jobless benefits aren’t being cut. They’re being “seasonally adjusted” is what’s happening here. The unemployment rate is being seasonally adjusted and people are losing their benefits. This is priceless. This is priceless!

This poor guy goes in to get his unemployment benefits because he can’t find work, and he gets a notice here that the economy is doing so great that his benefits are being cut.

He says, “This doesn’t make any sense. I gotta call Rush and find out what’s going on!”

And so he did.

RUSH: So there’s no question what’s gonna happen here. Let me put this in perspective for you. It’s actually 239,000 people, this will end it. I just want to close the loop here. Two-hundred-and-thirty-nine thousand people this weekend are losing their unemployment benefits, the people at 99 weeks. Eight states, unemployment rate has fallen enough that nobody will get benefits after 79 weeks. The federal extension to 99 weeks ends in these eight states. It’s part of the debt limit deal last August. Don’t think Obama doesn’t know about this. They’ve made a calculation. What you are next going to hear intensely is that this is a Republican plan. They forced Obama to go along with this. This was part of the deal to raise the debt limit last year.

So next week, when this starts to hit, when people show up and sign up for their extension and they don’t get them, there’s gonna be hell to pay. Next week, if not this week on the Sunday shows, is when the all-out assault on the Republicans being responsible for this is going to hit. I have no doubt in my mind it is a calculated political move, much like the student loan interest rate was. And to refresh your memory on that. In 2007, the Democrats ran everything that year. They ran the House and the Senate, Bush in the White House of course. The Democrats decided to cut the student loan interest rate in half. And then also the Democrats in the House and the Senate voted to restore the student loan interest rate, at its current level, in July of this year, which would have the effect, the impression would be that the student loan interest rate is doubling in July of this year. When all that was happening was, it was being restored to where it was in 2007 when the Democrats cut it.

The Democrats cut it in 2007 and plan to restore it in 2012 as a presidential election issue. They of course couldn’t know in 2007 whether the Democrats have the White House or not, but they were pretty confident, given the country hated Bush and the media was drumming up — they figured it was gonna be Hillary in 2007. So as an insurance policy, they have this student loan interest rate doubling, and of course if they’re running the show in 2012, when it goes back up, they can just themselves get rid of it, quietly, no attention being paid to it. But now the news is out, the student loan interest rate’s gonna double. The Republicans want your student loan interest rates to increase, when the Republicans have nothing to do with it. All the while Boehner was actually trying to pass legislation to keep the student loan interest rate where it is. Same thing’s happening here with unemployment.

The 99-week extensions end during a presidential year. So the calculation Obama has made is really quite simple. He wants voters to be without their unemployment during an election year so that he can blame the Republicans for it and profit from it. So no money, no food, no job is how Obama benefits, according to his calculation. According to his strategizing, his and Axelrod’s, the Chicago way: Let’s make people hurt. Let’s bring some pain. Let’s calculate when it would be best for their unemployment benefits to end, with no extension. We’ll do that in an election year and blame it on the Republicans.

That’s what’s gonna happen, and then sometime next week I’m gonna be deluged with phone calls from you, “Rush, why don’t the Republicans…” and I’m gonna say, as I’ve been saying since 1988, “I don’t have the foggiest idea why the Republicans don’t do X in response to it.” But there’s Obama in Seattle last night: You know, sometimes I forgot how bad the recession is. I wonder if Obama forgot the recession ended three years ago, by his own calculation.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: According to CNNMoney.com: “By the beginning of September, the [unemployment] benefits will disappear in another seven states, leaving Alaska as the sole” state to offer extended unemployment benefits. So what this means is that, by September, no state will have extended unemployment benefits. That’s happening in an election year. It is going to be incumbent on Romney and the Republicans to explain why this is happening. What timing is this? I’m glad that guy from Illinois called us, because this is major.

Every state, by the time we get to September (except Alaska), will lose its extended unemployment benefits. Meaning nobody beyond 79 weeks. All of those between 79 and 99 get zapped. And the Republicans are gonna get blamed for it, and it’s gonna be up to Romney and the Republicans to explain why this is happening, who did it, and what’s behind it. And you know what Obama knows? Obama knows: How can the Republicans come out and say, “Well, unemployment rate isn’t really 8.1%. It should be much higher”?

I mean, you can say it, but who wants to talk about how rotten the economy is? They should, but it’s almost too complicated to try to explain in 30- or 60-second TV ad. Now, the deal ending the 20-week extension from 79 to 99 weeks was done in February of this year. It was not… I mistakenly said that it was part of the debt deal in August. It was done in February of this year. So it’s a campaign-year tactic.

END TRANSCRIPT

We keep hearing about how wonderful Obama is for the economy from Democrats.  I mean, thank whatever these secular humanists thank – Obama the messiah I suppose – that Obama has been such a gift to America.  But if the economy is better as liberals keep saying, then of course we should end all these unemployment benefits that were intended to help people stave off a disastrous economy which was all Bush’s fault and is clearly gone now because messiah has been president for nearly four years.  But millions of Americans are suffering more now than they EVER were under Bush.  But we must robotically refuse to acknowledge reality because reality would hurt Obama and we can’t do that.

And so hurting people are more screwed than ever.

What is good is that people are finally starting to comprehend the ruination that is Obamanation.  The polls are not looking good for this teleprompter reading turd.  And liberals are growing increasingly terrified that Obama won’t be able to pull out re-election no matter HOW many fundraisers he attends relative to the previous five presidents combined before him.

Real Unemployment Skyrocketing With Record 88 Million Working-Age Americans Out Of Labor Force In Obama’s God Damn America

April 9, 2012

It’s stunning:

Record 87,897,000 Americans Not in the Labor Force
by Wynton Hall
4/7/2012

Amid disappointing unemployment numbers that fell 80,000 jobs short of projections, another number is raising eyebrows: the number of Americans not in the labor force has hit a record high 87,897,000.

This figure explains why overall unemployment dropped from 8.3% to 8.2%, as the Department of Labor’s unemployment figure does not include people who have given up hope and are not actively seeking employment.

When the number of individuals who have stopped looking for a job and/or who are working part-time but desire full-time employment is included–a figure known as the “underemployment rate”–real unemployment stands at 19.1%.

When Barack Obama assumed office, the labor participation rate was 65.76 percent.  If we were calculating unemployment by that measure, the official unemployment rate would be 10.9 percent right now:

If the size of the U.S. labor force as a share of the total population was the same as it was when Barack Obama took office—65.7% then vs. 63.8% today down from last month—the U-3 unemployment rate would be 10.9%.

At the rate we’re going in Obama’s God damn America, we will have zero percent unemployment and nobody will actually have a damn job.

And just to point out what a gigantic failure Obama’s boondoggle stimulus was:

Recall that back in 2009, White House economists Jared Bernstein and Christina Romer used their old-fashioned Keynesian model to predict how the $800 billion stimulus would affect employment. According to their model—as displayed in the above chart, updated—unemployment should be around 5.8% today.

In God damn America, lies are explained away with more lies.  And abject failure is simply ignored in favor of “blame Bush” and the rhetoric of Marxist class warfare – which of course worked so great for the former USSR.

Who Do You Trust More To Tell Us About Unemployment? Big Brother (8.3%) Or Gallup (9.1%)?

March 10, 2012

Which turned out to be more accurate?

We must win the war, and we can win it! Each man and each woman, the entire German people, must call forth their utmost in work, courage, and discipline.” — Nazi government, January 1945

Or:

I am writing this from cell 24. Outside a new Germany is being created. Many millions are rejoicing. Hitler is promising everyone precisely what they want. I think when they wake to their sobering senses, they will find they have been led by the nose and duped by lies.” — Jailed journalist Stephen Laurant, circa 1935

Sometimes it is vital to pick the right people or the right agencies to believe.

Right now the Obama government is telling us that the unemployment rate is 8.3 percent and about to drop even further after numerous positive developments.

That view is not shared by leading polling organization Gallup:

Gallup: Unemployment at 9.1%, But 19% Need Jobs
Thursday, 08 Mar 2012 02:19 PM
By Martin Gould

The unemployment rate shot up by half a percentage point in February, according to figures released by the polling organization Gallup on Thursday.

The jump from 8.6 percent in January to 9.1 percent last month is the largest month-by-month increase in more than a year, Gallup said. It is the highest rate since August.

Gallup’s figures differ from the official government unemployment rate because they do not adjust the figure for seasonal variations or include anyone under 18. The survey suggests that the official figures will also show an increase from January’s 8.3 percent when they are released on Friday, said Gallup’s chief economist Dennis Jacobe.

“If the government’s unadjusted unemployment rate increases to the degree that Gallup’s has from mid-month to mid-month, then the government’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate could show an even larger increase,” Jacobe said.

He predicted the government figure for February would stand at either 8.5 or 8.6 percent.

Gallup’s figure reveals the largest single month increase since December 2010 when it went up from 8.8 percent to 9.6 percent. According to the organization, the underemployment rate – which includes part-time workers who want to be in full-time employment, rose from 18.7 percent to 19.1 percent in February, the highest since last May.

“Regardless of what the government reports, Gallup’s unemployment and underemployment measures show a substantial deterioration since mid-January,” added Jacobe. “In this context, the increase in unemployment as measured by Gallup may, at least partly, reflect growth in the workforce, as more Americans who had given up looking for work become slightly more optimistic and start looking for work again.

“So while there may be positive signs, the reality Gallup finds is that more Americans are looking for work now than were doing so just six weeks ago.
Official Bureau of Labor Statistics unemployment figures have shown the rate go down from 9 percent since September.

And even Gallup is far more optimistic than the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office as stated in its annual report:

The [CBO] office says that will leave the unemployment rate at 8.9 percent at the end of this year, well above current the current rate of 8.5 percent, meaning the jobless rate would be increasing at election time.

[…]

And in 2013, CBO estimates unemployment will be even higher — at 9.2 percent.

As to the question as to whether Obama has created more jobs or destroyed jobs, this conversation was telling during official testimony with CBO director Douglas Elmendorf:

That prompted this exchange between Rep. Tom McClintock, R-Calif., and the CBO director. “Let me ask you, are there more people working today or fewer people working today than at the — on inauguration day of 2009?” McClintock asked.

“I believe the answer to that,” said Elmendorf, “is there are fewer people, congressman.”

Who are you going to believe?

There is an intentionally false picture being presented by somebody (see also here and here).  That much is abundantly clear.

In the case of Nazi Germany, had the German people believed the likes of Stephen Laurant, imagine how much suffering they could have spared themselves and the rest of the world.  But they were fools who chose to believe the wrong people.

Right now, Barack Obama is trying to get himself re-elected so there will be absolutely no reason for him to restrain himself in the pursuit of policies that will lead America to economic ruin.

Like the German people prior to World War II, if the American people foolishly choose to believe the wrong sources, we won’t get a do-over; they will rightly receive ruin.  Because we are responsible for our choices in this world.

The New Mental Illness Created By The Mentally Ill (And Failed) Obama Presidency

February 20, 2012

Conservatives like myself have repeatedly warned of the moral hazard and economic insanity of providing unemployment benefits for life like the Democrats want.

Who knew that it also created psychological insanity???

Report: Millions of jobless file for disability when unemployment benefits run out
Published February 19, 2012 | FoxNews.com

Being unemployed for too long reportedly is driving people mad and costing taxpayers billions of dollars in mental illness and other disability claims.

The New York Post reported Sunday that as unemployment checks run out, many jobless are trying to gain government benefits by declaring themselves unhealthy.

More than 10.5 million people — about 5.3 percent of the population aged 25 and 64 — received disability checks in January from the federal government, the Post wrote, a 18 percent jump from before the recession.

Among those claiming disability, 43 percent are asking for benefits because of mental illness, the Post wrote. A growing number of those people are older, former white-collar workers.

Disability claims come from the Social Security Trust Fund, which is set to go broke in 2018. Congress last week agreed to dip into the revenue stream to give a 2-percentage point tax break to working Americans.

The Post noted that the more people file for disability claims, the better for the unemployment picture since those people are removed from the jobless rolls.

The only things that are genuinely increasing under this president are all really, really bad things.

For more on the reality of unemployment under the Obama regime, see my other post from today here.
