Health Care: Mainstream Media Demagogues ‘Organized’ Conservatives, Ignores PAID Liberal Activists

RedState has an incredibly revealing post about the deceitfulness of Democrats and the propaganda of the mainstream media.

Are conservatives an “angry mob” activated by the Republican Party and the pharmaceutical industry?

The mainstream media managed to find a couple of emails informing conservatives how to maximize their effectiveness and numbers at town hall meetings.  Not mentioned is the fact that the left are getting their marching orders from the White House by means of emails, conference calls, and three different web sites.  And emails from liberal organizations exactly like the ones they are demonizing from conservatives abound.

But let’s see what the mainstream media – which looked so hard to find dirt on conservative organizing (like they worked overtime to dig dirt up on Sarah Palin and Joe the Plumber while studiously ignoring Obama’s Chicago-politics) – managed to overlook:

Let’s Talk Astroturf

So I received an email/comment this morning about a craigslist ad soliciting health care activism for money. “Activism for money,” I thought!! Was this it at last? The missing link Democrats have been searching for? Obamacare opponents turning up at town halls really are a mob?

We really are nothing but a slew of paid hacks drummed up by the promise of easy cash by cynical Obamacare opponents to create an artificial appearance of opposition?!?

Ummmm, no. (click for full size)

But wait, there’s more!

So I started searching around, and posting links on Twitter, and reading links I received by reply. Turns out there are hundreds, if not thousands, of advertisements seeking “activists” who will be paid to support Obamacare. That’s right CNN. That’s right Olbermann. You want astroturf? It’s out there by the dozens. In support of, not in opposition to.

I’m going to post a few screenshots from that horde below, but remember its only a sampling:

The first is from Josh Treviño, who notes you should pay special attention to the dates here:

Look at his search terms, pick your city, and see how many results you get.

Here are a few more. Remember to click for uncropped full size:

Here’s one from a job search site:

And back to Craigslist:

That last one might be my favorite. “Women and People of Color and Members of the GLBT community are strongly encouraged to apply.” Paying for diversity. Can’t you feel them ooozing progressive-osity? I feel tolerant all over!!

There are literally hundreds more. Go to Craigslist. Have fun. And ask yourself who the astroturfers are. Michelle Malkin may have an answer for you. Also find more at Looking At The Left. Or RedState diarist Charlie. Ed Morrissey has a great report here. And of course, RedState’s Jeff Emanuel.

Oh. One more thing. Don’t let’s forget the biggest astroturfer of them all.

Yeah. #iamthemob.

It is utterly remarkable how fascistically demagogic our mainstream media has become in turning themselves into the attack dog of the Democratic Party.

They managed to find an email from some guy named McGuffie whom nobody had ever heard of providing a suggestion as to how to control a town hall meeting.  They proceeded to alter the email message in order to make it appear more threatening.  And then they reported it as something massive rather than an email that only a small percentage of Americans have actually ever received.

They created a straw man to demonize and to take attention off the fact that most Americans are opposed to the Democrats health care plan, and that the plan itself is absolutely terrible.

And the same media that did all this is willfully ignoring the massive “buy-a-protester” pseudo-activism of the left.

I frankly cannot imagine how the Democrat Party or the mainstream media could be more dishonest.

This is nauseating and absolutely true. It gives new definition to the old adage “All the world’s a stage” when people we’re likely to see passionately supporting the passing of a bill that will likely destroy them are collecting a check from their destroyers. Where are you America?

  2. Not On My Dime Says:

I am appalled at how stupid the media, the legislators, the democrats in general think we, the public, really are.

The Democrat legislators, by name calling, ie angry mob, are attacking the very people they represent. They have no answer! They can’t sell the plan!

All they have left is to insult the very people in their distircts that elected them.

Thank you for letting me comment.

    Patrick,
“All the world IS a stage” when so many derive their facts, their truth, and their worldview from the mainstream media, from celebrities, and from glossy magazines.

Too many people are ignorant and believe what propagandists tell them to believe. Too many others are dependent upon people who go out and work to earn their bread for them (so they don’t have to). Too many people are amoral.

  4. Michael Eden Says:

Thanks for commenting. Particularly since we are in such agreement.

This amounts to naked and transparent lies. Obama the community organizer outraged that communities are organizing. Liberals who have been shouting down conservative speakers for YEARS are bitterly denouncing conservatives for shouting down liberals.

And it’s a straw man. It is a tactic to try to refocus blame on conservatives rather than explain their stupid bill.

Hey! I actually think that this is the solution to the uninsured problem.

WashingtonCAN, PIRG, SEIU, ACORN, and all of the other professional astroturfers can simply hire all of the uninsured as their paid organizers, and offer them health benefits. WashingtonCAN says right in their ad that they provide health coverage to their paid organizers.

    It’s the perfect solution.

  6. Michael Eden Says:

Well, it certainly would be if we could just get liberals past their “hypocrisy defines liberalism” mode.

As it is, liberals invariably exempt themselves from the burdens they want to place on everyone else.

  7. Joey Says:

Yeah, that was pretty much my point. Free stuff for everyone, so long as they aren’t the ones paying for it.

I was watching a Military Channel program on the rise of Hitler, and came across this statement from a journalist who had questioned Hitler’s Nazism:

“I am writing this from cell 24. Outside a new Germany is being created. Many millions are rejoicing. Hitler is promising everyone precisely what they want. I think when they wake to their sobering senses, they will find they have been led by the nose and duped by lies.”

Too much promising going on, and too much vicious political attack from the White House and government sources against those who don’t buy the promises, to suit me.
